good. >> and, we'll give you a look at a trump rally in ohio tonight. caution, you are about to enter the no spin zone. the factor begins right now. >> hi, i'm bill o'reilly. thanks for watching us tonight. hacking collin powell and the presidential vote. that is the subject of this evening's talking points memo. hackers have embarrassed general powell by hacking his emails and printing them so everybody can see his private correspondence. the lesson for all of us, there is no privacy in this world. hackers can get into your system. you can tape recorded at any time by anybody. you can be photographed about your knowledge and people can listen to your private conversations while you are in your home using technology. what an awful situation. enter colin powell one of the savviest political players in america.

the former secretary of state plays both sides of the aisle and has succeeded in doing that for decades. now hackers have attacked him and the presidential vote may be affected. speaking about donald trump in an email, powell said this quote: there is nothing he can say that will sway black voters. he takes us for idiots. the whole birther movement was racist. and for trump to say yesterday that within four years he would have 9 5% of blacks voting for him is schizo fantasy, unquote. that should come as no surprise, colin powell has never been a fan of donald trump. even though he is a republican, is he more favorable towards hillary clinton or so it seemed. the hackers put this out there, quote: sad thing hillary rodham clinton could have killed this two years ago by merely telling everyone honestly what she had done about the emails. and not tie me into it. i told her staff three times not to try that gam bit. i had to throw a mini tantrum at a party to get their attention. powell as you may know used private email himself as

secretary of state but not nearly to the extent mrs. clinton did. the general continued with another email quote. been having fun with email gate. hillary's mafia keepsuck me in . now, a guy like colin powell can be hacked, anybody can the effect on the vote will probably be minimal. but we can expect more hacking stuff between now and election day. hacking aside, donald trump seems to be gaining in the race right now. at least two new polls say that according to reuters, hillary clinton's support is now 40%, trump 39% among likely voters. the "l.a. times" daily tracking poll has it 47% for trump. 42 for hillary clinton. must be going nut out there in hillary clinton. also, new bloomberg poll has trump up by 5 in ohio. and monmouth poll out today of nevada voters has trump up 44%, clinton 42. back in july clinton was up in nevada by 4. while mid september polls are interesting the first debate september 26th is likely to change things.

both candidates know if they lose that debate they could very well lose the election. summing up, no privacy on the planet anymore. colin powell is embarrassed. the presidential race very tight. and that's the memo. now for the top story, reaction with us here in new york city, karl rove. are you worried about the hacking thing? i mean, this could change everything about politics. could it not? >> yeah. i mean, there are things that you can do to protect against it and i suspect politicians over time will avail themselves with those tools. i think your point was right. in this world today you should have no expectation of privacy because the technologies exist to allow ordinary people to intrude into everybody's life. >> that makes it very, very difficult for anybody to even have a private conversation. at all about anything. >> sure. >> should laws now, new laws be put into effect to stop all this? >> i don't know. i think we need to be very careful about it there are laws, for example, on conversations in symptom states it's legal to tape a conversation without the knowledge of a party to it but in a lot of states it's

illegal to tape a conversation without all parties. >> two parties knowing. >> exactly. >> i i just think that this is a chilling time with the technology overwhelming basic civility. think about it almost every area technology is overwhelming civility. there is no honor anymore. it's amazing. we live in an era in which we have to talk about our privacy and so much of what we do on facebook and twitter and snap chat and instagram is to give up part of our problems. something very interesting here. among trump voters, people who are supporting donald trump, 66% say they mainly voting against hillary clinton. does that surprise you. >> what surprised me is how much that is in effect for both candidates. both candidates have consistently had. not in every poll, but in most polls been motivated more. >> the clinton vote is 54%

voting against trump. there is a 12 point difference. >> yeah. when trump goes out, very enthusiastic crowds. i mean, they love him. and he seems to be gaining momentum. >> well, is he gaining momentum by looking at the polls. if you take a look at the polls, real clear politics average. she led by 7.9 points august 7th. been in decline since about three points. don't look at rallies and make a lot of them. walter mondale, huge rally notice closing days in the 1984 campaign. 1927 george mcgovern man mouth rallies. this is the way in american politics. in the election i wrote about 1896, 75,000 people show up in the boston common to hear williams jennings brian who proceeds to get 24% of the vote. >> there was no tv or internet back then. they had nothing else to do they just went in to boston commons. >> even today people like to go see a presidential candidate. >> yeah, okay. now, you still believe that the hillary clinton email and the foundation, the clinton foundation will effect the election.

now, we had our discussion with geraldo about it last week. roll the tape. >> a man like you. >> yeah. >> a reporter with the chops that you have, show me one example where there has really been pay for play. in other words, show me one example where someone took money, one of these clintons took money and as a result of taking that money they influenced some legislation or they directed the country in a place where the money giver wanted them to go? when you can prove that. >> it's the appearance. >> just like appearance smearance. >> so you say there is. >> sure, there are lots of them. let's take one. bret baier talked about this "special report." washington beacon. peter schweizer. this involved haiti and dennis o'brien largest irish contributor to the clinton foundation between 10 and $25 million. terrible earthquake in haiti, january 2010. the one of the two cell

phone operators in the country is dennis o'brien. shortly after the earthquake, the u.s.a. i.d. and the gates foundation say that they will give the two cell phone companies in haiti $10 million with some bonuses, you know, paid out on how many people they get signed up for it to begin doing mobile banking in the country. and most of the money goes to digi cell owned by dennis o'brien. shortly thereafter the usid food for peace program sets up a special deal where the cell phones they will literally give people free cell phones and digicell service and access food for peace program in haiti using that shortly thereafter, o'brien begins to help bill clinton give speeches. one in jamaica, three in ireland. he has paid for the one in gentleman makeca. he has flown on dennis o'brien's plane to ireland. unclear if he gets paid for the others. o'brien's people say, quote: clinton was not personally

compensated for the speeches. which which sounds sort of fishy. was contributions given to somebody? shortly thereafter, the usid begin as second program with digicell begin to partner on rebuilding schools in haiti. in the news releases they mention the money that usid is coming up with. no idea how much digi want cell is coming up. good well and brandness around the country. during this period of time as well, clinton is put on the -- has made co-chairman of the official haitian government reconstruction and recovery commission. >> this is bill clinton. >> bill clinton. is he co-chairman of this group. by 2012, the national lottery is now on digi cell's phones. you can play the national lottery with a slice of that going to digi cell. by 2014 he has made so much money that in april dennis o'brien buys out his competitor and by october folds the company up and is the only cell phone provider in the entire country. >> of haiti. >> of haiti.

during that year he then gives somewhere between 10 and $25 million to clinton foundation. we don't know the specific amount. and he pays himself $650 million in dividends because he personally owns this company and it's privately held. >> i have got to wrap it up. it's pretty convoluted. you would have to have the fbi in this to sort it all out. >> it's all in the public record. articles by the end of your program i will have them all up on my website. people can make their own judgments about whether there is an appearance of a conflict of interest. >> karl rove, everybody thank you. take to you ohio where a trump rally is in progress. then, later, miller, we are forcing him to release his medical records. up ahead.

impact segment tonight. donald trump in canton, ohio this evening. a state he has to win. let's take a brief look at

how that rally is unfolding. >> so this morning, cnn came out or bloomberg came out and we were 48% to 43%. up. and then we just got one a little while ago. and that was a big one. and that was 48% to 43%. so these polls are seeming to be pretty close. we have one that just came out in florida, a big one, cnn. i believe it was cnn. and that one is up 3 in florida. we're up sort of like everywhere. we're getting to be everywhere. there's a movement. states are in play. that no republican has ever come close to winning. [ applause ] states are in play that the republicans fly over those states, me, we're going to land there and going to do a little fun. but we have -- we do.

we have a lot of states in play that are not usually in play. in fact, for many, many decades in some cases, just not in play for republicans. and they are really in play for us. i think we are going to have an unbelievable november 8th. got to get out and vote. the water crisis in flint demonstrates failure at every single level of government, gross incompetence. you can imagine? to save a couple of bucks they spend hundreds of millions of dollars and they start taking water from a dirty area, from water that's so disgusting. it's tragic and it's heart-breaking and it should never happen in the united states of america. a thing like that should never happen. [cheers and applause] this is the catastrophe that does happen when we build up other countries instead of our own.

we take care of everybody else. it's america first now, folks. america first. america first. i watched obama yesterday. [crowd boos] >> why isn't he working? why isn't he working instead of campaigning for crooked hillary? why? why? this inspires a lot of women to take another look at him and say maybe i judged him too soon. >> but for a conservative, like you, this -- this implemented means bigger government, okay. and expansion of entitlements. >> right. >> which goes against the conservative philosophy. >> as a conservative i'm totally opposed to. this i understand why he is. >> we all understand why politically speaking. but you would be opposed to. >> the constitution doesn't give the federal government the authority to redistribute taxpayer funds to create a new child care entitlesment. and on top of that. >> it does give the power to congress to have safety nets. and that's pretty much what this might be. >> this is a massive new entitlement. how he says he would pay tore it a lot of people are saying there is no way can he pay for it this way. >> on the other side, on the left-hand side, okay, they're basically saying today, and the reaction is oh, is he a phoney, he would never do. this i think trump would do it. i don't think trump is ideological. >> look, i agree, i said for a long time, bill, that

trump is uniquely positioned as a republican nominee because he is not really beholdenned to the old guard conservative party in that same way. i agree with monica, great politics. we all know why he is doing. this it's a problem for a policy on this though bill. it's got severe unintended consequence. it could be disastrous for women because it's exclusively offering maternity leave. and start to look like a task to some businesses that aren't facebook like attacks on hiring women. i think that could actually, you know, back fire on women that do want to. >> it wouldn't be attacks on hiring women if federal government picks up most of the tab. what i'm trying to do is and i think my solution is always is the best. hearing mr. trump create a clear and present danger. >> he doesn't have the temperament, or judgment to control himself. >> i love war in a certain way. >> we're about to turn over the nuclear code to the united states to an erratic individual. >> priority u.s.a. action is responsible for the content of this advertising. >> that was effective ad, i don't understand why republicans would think that's a good ad. why would republicans think that's good. >> effective and credible. these are for the most part republicans speaking i will of donalspeaking ill ofdonald t. it's not democrats attacking him. not only do they recognize the people but the comments they were making when this ad was created, which was now a couple months ago, this ad stands out because it is exactly, almost word for word what our focus groups say when they describe their concern with donald trump. >> so the republican leaners, they are not republicans, i misspoke. leaners were not offended by that ad and thought it was effective. here is the trump ad, go.

>> in hillary clinton's america the system stays rigged against americans. syrian refugees flood in. illegal immigrants convicted of committing crimes get to stay, collecting social security benefits, skipping the line. our border open. it's more of the same but worse. donald trump's america is secure. terrorists and dangerous criminals kept out. the border secure. our families safe. change that makes america safe again. donald trump for president. >> i'm donald trump and i approve this message. >> all right. straight immigration play. still effective. >> but it's more than that it's national security. and, one of the things that americans have told us in our sessions is that they're afraid. they feel the last eight years has made america less safe, less secure, this is the strongest point that trump has paid because it's not only a criticism of hillary clinton it's also in praise of what trump says he is going to do and how he is going to do it so you have got the comparison and that's what makes it so powerful. >> frank is a nimble kind of guy. and after the deplorables line by hillary clinton, the

trump people also fairly nimble got an ad out real quick. roll it. >> speaking to wealthy donors, hillary clinton calls tens of millions of americans deplorable. >> you could put half of trump supporters in to what i call deplorables racist, sexist, homophobic, zen nobody bic, islamophobic, you name it. >> people like you, you, you deplorable. you know what's deplorable? hillary clinton viciously demonizing hard-working people like you. >> i'm donald trump, and i approve this message. >> all right. so it looks like republican leaners liked it but democratic leaners did not. >> exactly. the thing about republicans is that they didn't feel themselves as being as critical -- as criticized because they are not strong trump voters who are reacting to this. the purpose of this ad was not to appeal to the undecided and unaffiliated. it was to harden the support for donald trump to ensure that he gets a tremendous turnout, 55 days from now.

bill, that was tested in nevada. another one of the key swing states. and nevada also shows trump gaining and clinton falling. >> what do you think, generally speaking, that's happened and the cnn poll just released florida now. trump has 47%. secretary clinton 44%. and it seems like the trend is everywhere. trump is gaining. hillary is losing. monmouth says it's because 66% of trump supporters so appalled by hillary clinton that they're going to support him until the end. is that what it is? >> what is happening now is that hillary clinton, and i believe that the polling is going to move even further in trump's direction over the next 72 hours because of what happened this weekend. they don't like her insults. they don't think she told the truth about her health. and it brings up issues of integrity that she has wanted to keep damperred down. bill, we see this trend everywhere. it's not that trump is becoming more popular, it's that hillary clinton is becoming less acceptable. and if donald trump can

consistently in the national and some of the state polls. why do you think that is? >> well, bill, you see how in the bag they are. they are now talking about trump's health. how did this get to be trump's health? i just don't understand that trump looks vital to me. she is the one who looks like she is walking around in that volvo pants suit. she doesn't look healthy to me. they are carrying her up steps for god's sake. all of a sudden neither trump nor her will come clean about her health. she likes tom petty in the jupiter. what's the hell is going on over there what is the option? gary johnson? yeah, there is a johnson, he thinks aleppo is the fourth marks brother. >> i don't know whether you watch the program, miller. we pay you but you don't have to watch it, it's optional. i admire trump and hillary clinton for the stamina of just running around. youened a i go on the road after two shows miller and i are in the oxygen chamber.
