his economic agenda. "hannity" starts right here, right now. welcome to "hannity," and tonight the 2016 race continues to turn in favor of donald trump with the candidate now making huge gains in the polls just released. fox news, national poll shows trump has now closed the gap with hillary clinton and is now in a virtual tie with clinton's one point lead falling within the margin of error. also a brand-new cbs news "new york times" poll has the race dead even for trump and clinton with 42% in a four-way con the rest. it shows trump winning among highly-coveted independent voters, which is a swing for donald trump since the poll last ran in july. we have polling out of iowa tonight. monmouth university poll has a advantage over clinton. the buckeye stay, ohio, suffolk

10:10 pm
>> the thing i'm worried about, i don't think hillary can run on obama's economic record, her economic record that she wants to follow in his footsteps or on the policy record, but she wants to prove to the country he doesn't have the temperament to be president so i suspect poke try to irritate, upset his feelings and make him bubble and fizz likeal ka settl alka seltz walter. >> i can see him, she is going to interrupt, donald, you are used to interrupting but it is not going to happen here. when reagan delivered a punch he gave a hug at the same time. a punch and a hug. a little westfulness, reagan said, there you go again, and it was that smile and knowing glance. sometimes saying nothing is really powerful and just looking at the person. sometimes that's powerful. >> do you think he will have the impenetrable shield where she

. live from america's news headquarters i'm patricia stark. donald trump's campaign saying the presidential candidate believes president obama was born in the u.s. trump was for many years one of the leaders of the so-called birther movement that questioned president obama's u.s. citizenship. the statement from the trump campaign followed a speech by rival hillary clinton when she ripped trump for refusing to say barak obama was born in the u.s. the u.s. regulator is issuing an official recall of samsung's galaxy note 7 phone. samsung had already voluntarily recalled the devices. the note series is one of samsung's most expensive and demand for the phone had been high. the explosions and fires have caused both injuries and property damage. i'm patricia stark, and now back to "hannity."

working class families today is lower today than in 2007. there's been no recovery at all. hillary is running arnold saying everything is wonderful. >> we have 12 million more people on food stamps, 8 million more in poverty. >> 42.5 million people in poverty. this is no recoveries. >> where are the conservatives on this, this is reagan to me. >> it is. we're going to cut taxes, reagan did that. we're going to get rid of regulations, reagan did that. trump is even to the right of reagan on school choice, you talked about it the other night. he is saying let's take the 60 billion and give it to the parents and kids in the inner cities so they can go to good schools. we will have a pro america energy policy. i worked for ronald reagan. i would say this is the candidate right now, donald trump, who is most reagan-esque we've had since reagan. >> last question. energy is the life blood of our economy, let's be blunt. we need energy to keep everything going. now, we are dependent on a lot
10:43 pm
of our energy resources, but we have more resources especially with natural gas, new technologies, horizontal drilling, fracking, all of these new technologies where we could be energy independent in maybe four years and put millions of americans to work at high-paying jobs. that's a big part of our potential success, isn't it? >> it is not only that, sean. i mean it turns out we are actually saudi arabia. imagine that 40 years ago when we were talking about peak oil. we are actually a next exporter of energy in three to five years, and what mr. trump is saying we can convert it into revenues which not only grow gdp but help pay down the deficit. >> so western europe dependent on ukraine and vladimir putin, if he turns off the spigot they're in dire straits. we can export to them. >> i just wrote a book. i have tote got for you.
10:44 pm
you're right, we can be energy independent, but i'm going to take it a step further. we can be the energy dominant country on the globe. >> we could be loaded, rich like the saudis. >> and think about this, talking about economics, think about national security. if we don't have to import oil from the countries -- >> oh, huge. >> hillary, by the way, her agenda is keep it in the ground. that makes no sense. >> and put coal miners out of work. >> she has done a good job of that. >> up tonight on this busy news night on "hannity." >> i'm not saying hannity or others, but they want her to be sick, dying and on her death bed. it is wishful thinking. >> that's called slander. brian stelter, the little pipsqueak, he is kind of zuker's stenographer. he takes a shot at me and rush. i will set the record straight and we will get reactions. stephanie,

10:50 pm
watch this. >> there's a basket of legitimate questioning about hillary clinton's health and some commentators fit into the basket. they're right to wonder about her health in some cases. then there's this other basket, the truly deplorable, who sean hannity fits into it, so does rush limbaugh. these are people that bring up issues about her health and have been doing it for years. some of these figures want her to be sick, they want her to be dying, they want her on her death bed. it is wishful thinking. >> want her sick, want her dying, want her on her death bed. well, brian, if you would actually do research, i know you work for the clinton news network, but if you would actually do some research you might discover that numerous times on my radio show, y yesterday i said i wish her all the best, we only wish the best even though we have political differences. what you did is a lie, a smear, a slander. basically a typical cnn darks.
10:51 pm
joining us washington examiner contributor lisa boothe, fox news contributors mercedes schlapp and eboni williams. i should see for standard. >> let's go to court with him, sean. >> i have better things to do. it is slander. >> in all seriousness, look, you have well-documented, i would challenge you to name one thing you agree with hillary clinton. you and i have political differences. >> sure. you are coming over. >> but i know you to be a good man. >> i'm winning you over. >> you have it your way, sean. i know you to be a good man and i have never known you to wish someone dead. it is actually a very nasty, undermined employ, and i'm disappointed and kind of disgust zble . >> mercedes, when you dig deep, that's kind of what anyone who works with cnn does. >> that's right. >> hillary's comment about deplorables, he is one upping so he is using hers, but it is followed by these are people that will never change,

irredeemable, that they're racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, islamophobic. that's a narrative democrats use every campaign and it is a slander. >> it is typical name-calling strategy that they have. what is fascinating is with the mainstream media is they live in a bubble. they're the ultimate washington insiders, the ultimate new york elitists. they don't know how to connect with the every day americans. what they've spent their time doing right now is they've criticized reporters time and time again and individuals who are just asking very simple questions on hillary clinton's health. rush limbaugh came out and said i'm simply reporting what i'm seeing. what are we seeing? cough fits, seizure like behaviors, questions that reporters should be asking and yet they're defending her. >> well, it is what is on the record we've talked about, lisa, and we see the coughing fits, we know she claimed to the fbi she couldn't remember ever being briefed ever about cyber security. we know that she had deep vein
10:53 pm
thrombosis, we know now she has pneumonia, we sea her collapse, we know she had some type of cerebral, verknal thrombosis as well. she has real conditions here, real concussion. is it so unfair to ask doctors what they think about what is on the record? because that's all i did and he called that a conspiracy theory. >> no, it is not, sean, because we saw her falling to the ground in video. there's been pictures of her having difficulty getting up the stairs. as you mention, she was the one, alt least in the notes of the context of the notes of the fbi, seemingly telling them she couldn't remember things after her concussion. so there are legitimate questions there. sean, these individuals, these reporters had no problem questioning john mccain's health in 2008 but somehow hillary clinton's health is off limit. there's a reason according to gallup that american's trust in the media is at an all-time low.
10:54 pm
hillary clinton has done herself no favors by concealing so much information, the private e-mail server, the clinton foundation. >> simple question, do you think we are being told the entire truth about hillary's health? eboni. >> no, she has a consistent problem. >> i agree there's an ultimate coverup. >> lisa. >> i don't think hillary clinton is capable of the truth. >> lisa, give an opinion. >> i think it is in her dna. >> lisa gets the gold star for that one. thank you all. coming up, we have a very important question of the day. we need your help. that is next. nk you all. coming up, we have a very impo
