police say they are bracing for another night of violence after more than 12 police officers were injured last night. demonstrations broke out three hours after police shot and killed keith lamont scott yesterday, a husband and father of seven children. [ crowd chanting ] >> local reports say the protests started out peaceful and demonstrators shut it down and then throwing traffic cones off after a highway over itpass.

one hit in the face with a rock. police used tear gas to try to clear out the crowd. they say officers told him many times to drop the weapon before they shot and killed him. >> it is time to change the narrative. i can tell you from the facts that the story is a little bit different than it has been portrayed so far than through social media. >> his family members say he was sitting in his car waiting for his son to get off of the school bus when officers shot him. they say they did not find a book at the shooting scene. it comes on the heel of a shooting of an unarmed black man there. they are calling to have the white police officer arrested in that case. we have more now, jonathan. >> reporter: that's right.

e-bay. he practiced detonating exploestives two days before the incident. it shows rahami lit a fuse to some sort of device buried in the backyard and then flames and billowing smoke and laughter. he was already facing state charges and for attempted to murder police officers. the unexploded device, they say two men removed it from a suitcase on the sidewalk and may have some howdy fu diffused the without even realizing what they were handling. the agency is not calling them suspects at this point. they say they want to question

under guard since monday morning when he was shot during his capture. we are told rahami is unable to speak with investigators following multiple surgeries from those gunshot wounds he sustained in the battle with police. at that point he would be trance forred for his first court appearance. the suspect in the terror attacks is in the hospital and we are told he is unconscious at this hour. >> okay. so you have the video that we saw, the image that shows the guys who took that pressure cooker out of the suitcase and we think took the suitcase with them. what more have you learned? >> when we first heard about these two guys it sounded like

they might be accomplices. they want to speak with them then and want to speak with them now. because they were walking up and down 27th street and found the bag that had the pressure cooker bomb in it. the bomb that didn't detonate, they pulled that device out of the bag and took off with that bag. authorities want that bag because it is evidence in this case. it may have had other evidence inside it. that's why they want to talk to these two men so badly. they also tell us that when they took that device out of the bag they may have inadvertently disconnected wires from the cell phone. they may have actually saved lives by stealing that bag. >> it could be -- we don't know. we don't flknow exactly what th did. we need to speak to those individuals. >> they found his fingerprints all over that device. that is some of the evidence
