wake of the experience that matt lauer had with donald trump, they would not continue to talk about the iraqi war position without drilling down on the subject. the fact checking seemed to only go in one direction. hillary clinton said the reason we had a financial crisis is because we had tax cuts for the wealthy, but lester holt wasn't there saying do you really believe it's because we cut taxes on the wealthy and that caused the financial crisis? >> so there are endless analysis. there are some polls that will give us an indication of how the debate did or didn't impact how voters feel out there. there was missed opportunities? ways to do things differently? >> absolutely. i think that for when you're analyzing who wins and loses

debates, in this case i would say this is a debate that donald trump lost more than hillary won. she played it very safe. she was very careful in her approach, and she was going through a born litany of policy proposals. i think he could have taken many opportunities to slam hillary clinton. i think particularly on cyber security question where he could have gone after her for a number of questions she. and i think the lesson he needs to take from it is the one he seems to be taking from today. he ought to be more aggressive and hit her harder in the future. >> we shall, great to see you always, thank you for being with us. >> donald trump giving hillary clinton a c plus for last night's performance saying she wasn't the toughest person he has faced in a debate. >> i think ted cruz was tough. i think that marco was actually
