cost today. >> who better to track it for us than janice dean. she has been in the weather center for many hours but we're going to start with jonathan. >> i actually think jonathan's live shot. >> i don't know why i said that this morning. it's great to see you this morning. >> no you don't. i don't know how you look as good as do you, janice. >> we have magicians in the hair and makeup department. >> we do. >> we will get to jonathan very quickly. he is in south carolina and, of course, the reason we don't have him is because sometimes the images that we get-go down because of the possibility for electricity to go down, the winds are gusting. upwards of 80 miles per hour with this storm and it's incredible to think that we had a major hurricane for seven days, a full week and it's still a category 2 and some of the worse damage from this is happening right now along the vulnerable areas of the southeast

coast, including south carolina and north carolina this morning. so, sometimes it takes days to really find out what the legacy of these storms is going to be. i think this is one for the record books. now, yesterday, around this time, we had wind gusts in excess of 100 miles per hour along the florida coast line. and the future radar is going to show that you this storm is going to be with us another 24 to 36 hours. not only bringing those hurricane force winds but we could see upwards of a foot of rainfall and the storm surge is still going to be a very big problem along these vulnerable coast lines that are receiving anywhere from 10 to 12-foot storm surge which is the push of those counterclockwise winds across the coast line. and then finally, hopefully, on sunday, this will be out to sea. and we will be done with matthew. but this has been an incredible storm to cover, guys. certainly one that i will remember in my 13-year career here for sure. >> thanks, janice. we are going to try to get

to jonathan turley. >> we want to get to politics now. donald trump is in full damage control now following decade old comments he made degrading women. here is just a brief portion of that. >> when you are a star, they let you do it. you can do anything. >> whatever you want. >> fox news senior national correspondent covering the fallout this morning from st. louis on the eve of the second presidential debate. john roberts is live for us. john, what is the latest? what are you hearing this morning. >> abby, clinton, tucker, good morning, clayton, tucker, good morning to you, this couldn't have come at a worse time for donald trump, he is practicing one more time for tomorrow night's presidential debate. he needed a come back moment. there are signs that hillary clinton could have brand new vulnerabilities with the leak of these transcripts of speeches she gave. republicans running for the exits because of what he said issued a never before heard apology. this came right after

midnight last night where the campaign knew that it had to try to get out in front of this. try to do something to stem the bleeding. here is a little bit of that apology from last night. >> i never said i'm a perfect person nor pretended to be someone that i'm not. i have said and done things that i regret. and the words released today on this more than a decade old video are one of them. anyone who knows me, knows these words don't reflect who i am. i said it. i was wrong. and i apologize. >> but in the hour after the release of that tape, that audiotape, the damage had already been done. a big event that had been choreographed by reince priebus the rnc chairman that was supposed to take place this afternoon in elk horn, wisconsin where donald trump would appear on stage for the very first time with house speaker paul ryan, donald trump's portion of that has been cancelled. mike pence will be taking his place. speaker ryan actually disinvited donald trump from

that event saying, quote, i am sickened by what i heard today women are it be championed and reveered not objectified. donald trump lost one person in his camp utah's mike lee. he really wasn't in donald trump's camp. jason chaffetz is the one who supported donald trump he said yesterday, quote, i can no longer endorse donald trump for the presidency. senator mike lee put a videotape up on his facebook page yesterday, never been a supporter of donald trump. saying trump should step down. former utah governor jon huntsman also calling the call for donald trump to exit the race. no sign at this point that he is going to do that. in fact, donald trump as he was expressing contrition yesterday night for what happened in that videotape or audiotape back in 2005, also took a swing at bill and hillary clinton. listen to this. >> bill clinton has actually abused women and hillary has has bullied, attacked,

that is hurricane matthew matthew grazing the coast as it pushes to the north. areas facing destructive winds and life-threatening flooding. >> that's where we find waga joining us live from there. doug, what do the conditions look like at this hour? >> good morning, guys. we've got 60 mile-per-hour wind gusts here in downtown savanna this morning. the rain has stopped. it stopped about half an hour ago. but the wind has not died down at all. we're about an hour and 15 minutes from sun up. that's when people here, officials, will be getting out onto the streets and trying to determine what six hours of hurricane matthew has done to this city. there are reports of flooding. there are reports of trees and power lines down. about 80% of savanna and the county of chat ham are without electricity this morning.

and so officials are warning people just to stay in place. 25% of the city of savanna did not evacuate. 75% did. and so those folks are waking up to, still, extreme conditions this morning. and they are warning folks to stay in place until matthew is headed out of here. right now it's headed up to hilton island. it passed through here last night. the eye of hurricane matthew passed within 30 miles of the shore here off of savanna. there was great concern about the timing of hurricane matthew as it came through here because of the titled surge. we had a tremendous titled surge here. and as day breaks here in savanna, we will be getting out to see what kind of damage that did. >> all right, doug, live for us this morning in is a vanna, georgia. 60 mile-per-hour winds right there. >> thanks, doug. we already know what clinton

we are fair and balanced. good to see you all. shelby, first to you, if you are trump, what do you say at the debate tomorrow night? >> that's a good question because what he said in the apology video last night did not me many of the voters we were hoping he would come forward. >> sip sear question i don't know the answer. >> it's hard. i think people genuinely behind trump will make up any sort of excuse to continue follow him and pardon him for anything that he says. a huge chunk of voters who are on the fence, undecided, not committed and they are not seeing this a true apology. i'm not sure if a true apology would change their minds. he is going to have to address. this who knew gone would be the day we stop talking about miss piggy and miss housekeeping. that's like irrelevant old hot potatoes now. >> should he do a checker speech? get up there and see i have never been so sorry and get emotional and would that work? >> well, it's clearly that this is not the october surprise that the g.o.p. was waiting for.

with that said, there is no way that he can explain this away. so he needs to make sure that he goes on an apology tour every day from now until the election and tomorrow, i mean, tomorrow during the debate, he needs to make sure he apologizes, says that you know, he has learned from this mistake. and, you know, just really teltaught his support for women, the things that he has done, he can't explain this away. he has to pivot. he will probably attack in terms of hillary's defense of a rapist when she was an attorney. attack bill clinton in terms of the things that he has done. make sure he pivots back. >> you are a democrat, you know, they got trump for sure. got himself, too. take three steps back and i think as a hillary you may agree with me on this. does it bother you when you see the entire political class, hollywood, big business, and ache deemia,

basically and the press, everyone with power in this country aligned on one side of a question? does that bother you long term? is it good thing for our society to have so much power concentrated in so few hands? >> i disagree. i don't think any power is aligned. i think you have a candidate who at this point and has been for some time -- >> --you don't think they are aligned. >> has been a threat to our national security. point blank. that's just it at this point. i don't think there is anything he can say that can undo what he said. personally, in my opinion, he should have been out a long time ago, given all the things. >> you are not a fan. okay. >> it's not a fan. it's just -- this is not presidential behavior. >> of course it's not presidential behavior. >> someone like this just needs to have the integrity at this point and say i'm going to disqualify myself from higher office. >> let me ask you this, hillary clinton yesterday was heard to say i'm for open borders. what would happen if we had open borders. do you think that would be a bigger threat to national security than trump saying ugly things about women?

>> aim not sure what she meant by that it's not clear. because she didn't endorse a position. open borders, what does that mean? i need to know more as to what was said before it and what was said after it. just to pick and piece little pieces. >> it would be nice if someone would ask her. should someone ask her? what do you mean you seem to endorse open borders there but a bunch of times. what would the country look like. >> she was speaking to banks. >> she was sucking up to rich people. >> i don't think financial institutions are going to say we are for open borders. she was talking about an economic situation. >> you don't know -- you said you didn't know what she was talking about. >> that's what we are going to infer. >> ask her all day hong and she will try to find a way to pivot but open borders and open trade is clearly not on the people's agenda. >> no, here's the thing. >> ask bernie sanders supporters. >> i'm not paid to defend trump and i'm not going to do it here because why would i? i could think there is a

hierarchy of concerns and maybe this is a bigger concern than his piggish behavior. get to the bottom of it, no. >> concern for democrats. big risk for her is that democrats who supported bernie sanders who are against fro trade and against a lot of these pro-wall street policies. the risk for her is they are going to a third party candidate. they are not going to donald trump. donald trump risks losing republicans to hillary clinton because republicans use establishment guys who like tpp who like free trade. who think that we should be doing business with china and mexico and shouldn't be building walls may say, okay, hillary clinton is not -- we thought. >> is there anything that hillary could say that would cause disagreements to disavow. >> i want to address the point that was just made. this has nothing to do with women alone. this has to do with decency as a human being. anybody who encourages or says i intentionally want to sexually assault women, that is an issue with decency as a human being. >> so that's your position?

>> welcome back. we have got a whole bunch of fox news alerts this morning. starting with this one with hurricane matthew is barreling up the southeast coast. seems like this is playing out in backyards of people across the country. >> heavy rainfall and storm surge combining to trigger massive flooding. the category 2 storms eye wall pushing close to south carolina. >> we have live team coverage this morning. fox news senior meteorologist janice dean is tracking matthew in the extreme weather center.

this morning we start with jonathan serrie in folly beach, south carolina. he is in the heart of it good morning, jonathan, can you hear us. >> yes, i can. loud and clear. you can see that the winds are picking up. in fact, they have been battering this island community for much of the night, just before midnight. we lost power at our hotel and i notice that the lights are out to much the island. those who didn't have generators already fired up. and then when we woke up this morning, we noticed that much of the cellular service was out. fortunately we have cellular devices on different networks. two of the networks were not working. only one of them was working. so, communications to this barrier island community going to be very difficult. and the problems get even worse as you head further down the coast. in the early evening there were already reports of water lapping up under some of the homes on etistow

island. another community down the coast from where we are. at this point it's too late to evacuate. the winds are too strong to cross some of the taller bridges. and there are already reports of flooding in some of the lower lying roadways. so at this point state officials are urging people in low lying areas just to hunker down in their homes and move to the highest level if you don't have a second floor go, to a neighbor who has a second floor just to get away from potential flooding from a combination of heavy rains and storm surge. back to you guys. >> all right. jonathan seare, right in the heart of the storm there. at folly beach, south carolina. stay safe out there. >> janice dean is standing by with the latest on the storm. she has been in the weather center for i don't know how long. >> actually where jonathan serrie is he might have the land fall of this hurricane. the first landful if a that we have seen.

the worst of the storm. is he right around where we think the center is going to come ashore and perhaps a landfall of this hurricane which would be incredible. we might actually see a shot of jonathan in a very calm atmosphere because in the eye, that's where we have the calmest of winds. so that's going to be interesting. i would like to see what his live shot looks like in an hour from now. we will keep you hosted pause we could have a landfalling hurricane. wind gusts, certainly, hilton head island, 84 mile-per-hour wind gusts up towards charles stolen, at least tropical storm force winds. and then we are going to see this storm condition to move north and eastward, bringing the worst of the rain, the worst of the storm surge still yet to come along georgia and south carolina. and then this will get picked up by a front, which is good news, and then it will move offshore. we want to watch jonathan's live shot because he might get the calmest part of the storm in the next couple of hours as we are anticipating a landfall. our first landfall of this hurricane that's been with us for awoke and a half.

asked do you still think this man is qualified to be president? >> then there is newly revealed emails of clinton campaign chairman john podesta shedding new light on some of hillary clinton's wall street speeches. the clinton campaign says it is not confirming their authenticity but also not denying they are his. according to wikileaks clinton said at one speech, quote: if everybody is watching all the back room discussions and the deals, you know, then people get a little nervous to say the least. is you need both a public and private position. then clinton reportedly suggests wall street insiders are what's needed to fix wall street. quote: people that know the industry better than anybody are the people who work in the industry. those quotes are likely to make senator bernie sanders and his diehard supporters crazy. all throughout the democratic primaries sanders was pressing clinton to release her wall street paid speech transcripts. he wanted to see what she was getting paid so much money to say. back to you guys in new york. >> wow.

despite a week of controversy, brand new fox news polls out this morning show donald trump closing in on hillary clinton. she now leads trump by 2 points in a four-way race. that's down from a 3 point difference just a week ago. >> and while the latest news isn't factored in to these polls, what can we pull from them? here to break it down is republican pollster and washington examiner columnist kristin solstice anderson. nice to see you this morning. >> >> thanks for having me. >> i wonder how this might shift after the latest news last night. here is a new fox news poll. female support 50% for hillary clinton. donald trump at 38%. of course, getting those white educated women was very, very important for donald trump. where do you think that that -- does that change at all now? >> well, we have been saying all alonger time there is some new outrage donald trump makes some new comment that is across the lion. will this be the thing that takes the poll numbers down? you know, for the most part, his poll numbers have actually been pretty stable. it's hillary clinton's

numbers that tend to fluctuate up and down a little more which is what changes the margin. this could be the thing that pushes people over the edge, especially few lot of high level republicans signaling enough is snuff. it is true while donald trump does significantly better among white men without college degrees than republicans typically do, he has got a similar deficit among white women with college degrees that kind of offsets it and making it hard for him, particularly in some of these battleground states to have the clear lead that he needs? we have asked this question over and over again. it's pretty much not changed when asked how voters feel about the candidates. hillary clinton in our latest poll 45% find her favorable. that's compared to donald trump who is at 42%. you know, you have to say for either one of them people around running to the polls because they are totally excited about them. >> i think that's right. if you take a look at what happened in the debated last week. i mane, it was very much so as they are who we thought they were kind of moment it

hasn't dramatically shifted people's attitudes towards these candidates. the one thing that it may have possibly done is shifted voters sort of toying with the idea of a third party candidate. perhaps voting for gary johnson. perhaps voting for jill stein. brought a few more of those folks back in to hillary clinton's cmp. donald trump supporters tend to say they are a litigation more excited about their own candidate. what remains to be seen is on election day, does turnout wind up pushing hillary clinton over the top or does donald trump's sort of enthusiasm amongstis hard core core supporters carry him over the finish line? >> here is another poll we want to get to, who do you trust to do a better job on a variety of tom picks, foreign policy, immigration, terrorism and the economy. i think the economy one there with donald trump in the lead by five points, i don't know how he spins tomorrow night at the debate and tries to get it back to talking about the economy. that's his strong suit. >> absolutely. in that debate last week. i mean, you saw, he focused his first 20 minutes or so on trade, on the need to make sure that we are competing fairly with china

"fox & friends" hour two starts right now. ♪ ♪ >> we do begin with this fox news alert. hurricane matthew continuing to bear down on the east coast. > here is a live look from charleston, south carolina, where the storm is taking hold with fierce winds. they are more than 80 miles per hour this morning. >> at least four people are dead at this hour in florida where this road was ripped to pieces. >> wow. we have live team coverage this morning starting with jonathan serrie live at folly beach in south carolina. and fox news senior meteorologist janice dean is tracking matthew in the weather center. we start though with jonathan serrie who is really in the heart of the storm as you can see there. jonathan, can you hear us? >> yes, i can but the winds are -- continue to blow and

they knocked out power just before midnight last night. and also when we woke up this morning we were having issues with our cell phone recommendation at least two of the three networks that we're using were either completely down or working sporadically. so, communications obviously an issue on this barrier island community. also, as you go further down the coast, from us, another island, etistow island. there were reports of water coming underneath some of the beach homes there coastal residents keeping a nervous eye on the storm surge. and then as did you go further inland, keeping a nervous eye on all of the rain that's expected from this storm system. you know, it was about a year ago that south carolina suffered catastrophic floods, dozens of dams were damaged in that process. and some of those dams were still undergoing renovations and then this storm hit. and so state officials are

going to be keeping a nervous eye on dozens of dams until this storm system completely moves out of the area. back to you guys. >> all right. jonathan serrie live for us in the heart of it there. janice dean you were wondering earlier if jonathan would be in the eye of that hurricane where it would be calm over the next hour. >> is he close. is he getting the eye wall. right now we are showing this radar and there is where general than serrie is right now. and the center of the eye is right here. so there is a possibility of a landfalling hurricane here. or will it just parallel the coast which is what it has been doing for a week now. but we are going to watch this very carefully and see what jonathan -- what the winds are doing in the next couple of hours. because he could be close to a landfall. so that's going to be really interesting. but, you know, the worse of this weather from this storm is happening right now across the coast line pause the core of the strongest winds really offshore of the coast of florida all this week.

that hillary clinton had been giving to wall street over the partly sunny couple of years. and here is some excerpts that actually made their way public last night. she said this about open borders. to a private room. she said my dream as a hem mits furyk common market with open trade and open borders. that's her dream. >> they idged indicated they are for open borders already. this is a question i would like to see every democratic office seeker answer. are you for trump's disgusting comments? of course not. i run away. i get it shouldn't democrats have to answer are you for open borders? and what would this country look like if we had them? this country would be over in a year. done. not the same country. >> that's why weeks are so fascinating and interesting. people need to take it seriously. this is how she honestly thinks about these issues. here is what she said in another one of her statements. if everybody is watching, you they, all of the back room discussions, the dealings, you know, the people get a little nervous

to say least. you need both a public and private position to the point of they are totally opposite positions from what you hear inside closed doors and to the public. >> and that part of it is troubling. i think she is actually right on that. look, our country was founded on back room deals. talk about the virginia compromise for crying out loud. we don't know what happened in that room. there are back room deals that need to happen in washington that need to grease the wheels of this country. do they not? >> especially in today's environment when it seems everything is public and everything gets leaked. >> there is that i do think we need privacy. i want privacy to have my own dumb thoughts. i think we all do. here's the problem with the back room stuff is that there is too much of it. here you have a situation this moment in american history where the media, the political class, hollywood, big business, and academia. all the power centers in our society are all aligned on one side against everybody else. and that's too much power in too few hands. this is anus moment.

welcome back. two campaigns now mired in controversy this morning. how do both hillary clinton

and donald trump handle tomorrow night's debate. >> scott jennings is a republican strategist and veteran of four presidential campaigns. he has prepped candidates for the debate stage in the past and he joins us now. holy smokes, scott. if you had to deal with in this weekend, going in to this debate, how does donald trump come out and have to be able to try to talk about the economy? he is going to have to be on the defensive, it would seem, almost this entire debate sunday night. >> yeah, he was already going to have to deal with the miss universe controversy and also the "new york times" hack story which now seems like an ancient memory. and now we are going to throw this friday night audiotape onto the fire here that's burning. i think one way to deal with it would be to make a speech in advance. i don't think he can hide out for the rest of the weekend. i'm not sure this video they released is going to cut it in order to take it out of the debate to some degree, making a speech, not off a teleprompter but from the heart today might be an answer for trump. >> town hall style debate, something that donald trump is comfortable with. he has con this a number of

times. intimate setting. have questions from the audience. you say he has to control this debate even better than he did last time. how does he do that. >> keep this thing focused on the economy and jobs and things that effect people's every day lives. last night's story is going to make that harder than it already was. if you look back at the last debate, the first 30 minutes they were talking about trade and jobs and he sort of owned it and then he lost it for the last two thirds of the debate. he has got to control the flow of it throughout. he can't let the last half of it or any portion of it get away from him. it's only 90 minutes. so now if you spend 30 or 45 minutes litigating recent controversies, it's going to make it extremely hard. that's why i think maybe a speech in advance may be warranted here to try to take some of that out of the debate so that he can spend more time on jobs and other important issues. >> what does hillary clinton do? of course we also learned overnight wikileaks and the release of these wall street speeches that she was giving. first of all, how does she handle the trump side of this? if you were advising hillary clinton this morning.

do you just say just stand there and don't say anything and let him deal with this? do you tell her to go on the attack? >> i would probably let someone in the audience deal with it. or the moderator deal with it if i were hillary clinton. sometimes the best option is to stay away from it for some degree. where she is going to try to press back is on the "new york times" hack story. turns to trade and creating jobs she is on shakier ground. i would expect her to let other people handle the stories about his comments on women and she is probably going to try to press the attack on a, whether he pays federal income taxes and, b, whether he is as good a businessman as he says he is. if you look at some of the polling on the issue set, is he still betting her on the issue hough is beating her on the economy. so in order to fix that issue set, she has got to try to puncture it with the "new york times" story. >> he has to keep going back to the economy. how important is it for

trump to have a presidential moment tomorrow night. >> very important. of course, a presidential moment now clearly centers around him taking some responsibility for the comments and not off of a teleprompter. the debate is good in that sense for trump it gives him a chance to speak from the heart and show contrition for what is being said about him and what the tapes say. so that's a good thing. but, boy, you have to get it right. it's like trying to slip through the eye of a needle here. and he is going to have to do something he really hasn't done in this campaign and that's show humility and contrition for bad stuff. >> everyone is going to be watching this debate very closely tomorrow night. >> scott, thanks so much. >> thank you. >> the cloud over all of this right now is that storm barreling up the east coast right now. hurricane matthew continues march of destruction up the coast. we're live on the ground in charleston is next. >> hillary clinton's wall street speeches exposed all thanks to wikileaks. it's been a long time coming. kristin fisher takes us down

we are back with a fox news alert. hurricane matthew's eye wall approaching the south carolina coast bringing whipping winds and dangerous storm surges. live in charleston, south carolina where matthew could make landfall very soon. good morning to you. >> good morning, guys. sun is starting to come up. we are getting our very first look at matthew as it comes into the charleston area. right now at the charleston battery. let me give you a look at what we're looking at right now. big time flooding in the area.

we have at least two feet of water on this street alone right here. take a look at the fire hydrant submerged about halfway right there. the charleston battery has a sea wall. barrier on charleston, harbor. at some point this morning that sea wall was breached. they were originally expecting a storm surge of 11 feet or so. it didn't turn out to be that high. as you can see, what you are looking at right here, this is not supposed to be a lake, folks. this is supposed to just be a park near the charleston battery. we have seen trees down all over the place. flooding all over the place. there is power out all over the place. we were staying in our hotel last night in the middle of the night i looked out the window and saw this huge green flash and then boom, everything went dark. the good news is charleston is basically a ghost town right now. a lot of people took the evacuation notice. about 300,000 people ended up leaving. still, officials say that's not enough. you can see the winds really starting to kick up again here. you guys mentioned the eye wall starting to come our

way pretty soon. another fact, the national weather service they put out some information this morning. fort sumter is right off the charleston coast. right off in charleston, harbor where the civil war started they got a surge gauge reading over 9 feet. comes in at the third most in history of fort sumter just behind hurricane hugo in 1989. you can see the sun starting to come up. the worse hasn't gotten here yet. we are still waiting for eye wall to get here. were to take a step off the cushion how deep the water goes here. i really don't want to find out. flooding widespread all across the area. folly peach, we are hearing power is out completely in that area. that's a very popular tourist spot. one of the most popular spot in charleston. trees down. power lines down. no power out there whatsoever. >> bill is there right in the heart of it all in charleston, south carolina. that area where is he talking about in the battery

to release the transcripts of her paid speeches to financial firms. it was a very contentious issue throughout the democratic primaries. senator bernie sanders even confronted her head on about it during a debate back in march. >> one of us has given speeches on wall street for hundreds of thousands of dollars. now, i kind of thing if you get paid couple of hundred thousands of dollars for a speech, it must be a great speech. i think we should release it and let the american people see what that transcript was. [cheers and applause] >> and i -- >> -- let me. >> and i have said and i will say again, i will be happy to release anything i have as long as everybody else does, too. >> this case, wikileaks did it for her. now, that's not the only time that the subject would be brought up to hillary clinton in the coming months. at a debate in april she was asked if there is nothing in those speeches that you think would change voters' minds why not release the transcripts and put the whole issue to bed? this is her response.

>> first of all, there isn't an issue. when i was in public service, serving as the senator from new york, i did stand up to the banks. >> and in one of the leaked speeches, clinton essentially implied that wall street insiders are exactly what's needed to fix wall street, which directly contradicts what she said on the campaign trail. and, you know, all of this plays into the argument that bernie sanders had been saying all ahong that she would is i anything to get elected. >> right. so if this had come out during the primaries and by the way if this trump tape had come out during the primaries, do you think either of them would have the nomination right now? >> great question. it's all about timing, right? >> bernie sanders be with the democratic nominee if this stuff had come out earlier. >> and if the trump story hadn't come out today, this would be the lead story across every newspaper, every news show. >> i think the highlight of these wikileaks is just two

completely different versions of hillary clinton. one behind closed doors and one when she is out on the stump. >> and she even said as much. you need to have a personal policy and professional policy. >> bretth let's bring in leslie, the head of the democratic african-american women caucus in florida who react to all of this. leslie, nice to see you this morning. first, your reaction to these new transcripts leaked overnight and to that question would she be the democratic nominee at this hour if these transcripts had come out months ago? >> i don't think so. >> really? >> i don't think so at all. >> why do you say that? >> well, you know, bernie sanders was actually right. and now the transcripts are showing that he was right. now we see why she didn't want to show everybody what those transcripts said. i actually find that amusing. you know if the democrats knew what were in those transcripts, they wouldn't have elected her.

and she knew it. he knew it and now everybody else knows it. >> yeah. well, here is the problem. you have her in those speeches talking about open borders, talking about how she lives a more privileged life than others. one of the speeches that they leaked out was her towering about that. and then she is out on the campaign talking to the african-american communities trying to convince them that she is one of them. she understands what they are going through. is she taking their support for granted especially when these are leaked out? >> well, you know, democrats have taken the fraternal community for granted for a very long time. so that's nothing new. absolutely she is doing that i mean, here you have your surrogates barack obama, michelle obama saying vote for hillary. she thinks that's enough. she thinks that's all that needs to happen. i have been saying this for a very lock time and continue saying no, that's not enough. you know, depending on which polls you look at, hillary clinton is receiving anywhere from 68% to under

85% in the african-american community in florida. when barack obama won florida in 2012, he did it where w. over 95%. and he barely squeaked by. i think he won with less than 75,000 votes over mitt romney. so she is not going to win florida unless she gets into the communities, her campaign, knocks on some doors and convinces the african-american community to vote for her why they should vote for her. what's happening now and what i'm hearing and seeing is they are just not enthusiastic about hillary clinton's campaign. about her presidency. >> now, leslie, i keep hearing democratic party leaders and their surrogates in the comedian i can't speak on behalf of african-american voters and say this is what african-american voters want. this is what they need, et cetera, et cetera. does that grade on you at all? do you think they are in a position to speak for african-american voters. >> absolutely not. that's what i call plantation politics. those days are gone. they cannot speak for us. and we will not allow that

good morning, i'm meteorologist janice dean. still tracking hurricane matthew, category 2 storm winds 125 miles per hour. the eye of the storm is just offshore of charleston, south carolina. watching for the potential of not only storm surge and heavy rain but tornadoes. a tornado watch in effect for parts of south carolina and north carolina until 4:00 p.m. as we could see the potential for some weak rotation and some tornadoes that could do some structural damage. wind gusts. we have seen wind gusts in excess of 85 miles per hour in hilton head, and that is going to be continuous all up and down the east coast. the potential for over a foot of rain fall and historic storm surge that we are going to be tracking along with matthew. new update coming out at 8:00. we have it here from the fox news extreme weather center. back to you. >> thank you, janice. kurt the cyber guy knows all

hurricane matthew carving a path of destruction you will and you of and down the atlantic coast. causing devastation in many coastal communities. >> at least four people are now dead in florida. more than a million people are without power. and just in to our newsroom, an update on that now category 2 storm as 100 mile-per-hour winds slam charleston harbor in south carolina. >> there is an awful lot going on in the natural world and thank heavens janice dean is live in the weather center with updates. she has been there for many hours. good to see you, janice. >> schroll. this storm can't weaken fast enough. we got the latest advisory from the national hurricane center down to category 1 storm. 85 mile-per-hour discuss stained winds. we are still seeing the potential for historic storm surge. flash flooding, tornadoes, and this storm continues to stay offshore. we were thinking maybe a landfall later this morning. but the center of the storm is 20 miles south-southeast of charleston. we may never get a landfall.

but the damage has been done. and the potential for historic storm surge as i mentioned and the tornado threat exists until 4:00 p.m. local time. tornado watch here because sometimes with these land falling tropical systems you already have the counterclockwise motion and friction. that's why the potential for tornadoes exist. wind gusts in excess of 100 miles per hour yesterday along the florida coast line. we still have the potential for over a foot of rainfall. those wind gusts are going to be ongoing for the next 12 to 24 hours. when we finally say good bye to this storm on sunday. and we're going to continue to monitor the damage because i believe we're going to see, in some cases, historic storm surge and damage all along the coast hundreds of miles from matthew. >> a long road ahead for a lot of people. janice dean live for us this morning. >> you bet. >> of course, donald trump offering a rare apology for decade old comments he made about women over at nbc.

life. >> elizabeth warren lives in 2.5-million-dollar house. >> i don't believe that she is a woman of the people. >> that's what she would like everybody to believe. >> interesting. that's an interesting story. ed klein, thank you very much for joining us. >> thank you so much. >> great to see you this morning. abby huntsman. >> we have a lot going on this morning. we are tracking hurricane matthew a category 1 storm carve ago path of destruction along the atlantic coast including this crumbling road in southern, florida. >> leland vittert is live in florida. how bad is the damage there. >> pretty bad, clayton. good morning to you. that road is about 20 or so miles north of where we are. the devastation isn't widespread and catastrophic. certainly if you are the owner of that gas station as that gentleman who is walking around is, seeing it for the very first time, his lively hood totally destroyed. flipped upside down literally by hurricane matthew. it's pretty profound and pretty terrible. the flooding is obviously going to be the big issue with this storm.

that is exactly what is happening now in savanna and charleston as matthew is making its way north. and the storm surge and the flooding is not only what causes the most damage but also often what causes the most number of deaths as people try to venture out into that high water and it comes up just so quickly especially with matthew. the storm surge in the atlantic is higher than almost anything we have ever seen. it is the perfect storm surge of a high tide combined with the eye of the hurricane coming along and pushing that water in. back here in daytona beach, the big issue they are going to be dealing with for a long time to come is beach erosion here which is critical to the tourism industry that's the number one industry in volusia county. obviously you can't have spring break at daytona beach without a beach. we talked with-to-senator marco rubio yesterday who talked about getting millions of federal dollars in to try and get the beach cleaned up. the other big issue, 88% of the people here in volusia

county, 9 5% of the people in the county just north of us are some of the 1 million people in florida who do not have power this morning. if you have ever been in florida, in the middle of october, without power, it is absolutely miserable. no airconditioning. no cold water. no ability to really keep any kind of food around. and it could be a couple of weeks now until the power gets turned pack on. florida power and light has 40 plus trucks just here in daytona beach. trying to get the lights turned back on. duracell, meantime, has brought down there master relief trucks one here and one in charleston each with 2,000 pounds of free batteries and ability to charge 45 cell phones at a time. something people here desperately need. back to you guys. >> we are showing some live photos of jacksonville, can you see just how bad the flooding is in some of these areas lock at that right there. mid 2,000s, multiple

paragraph and we are pack with a fox news alert. hurricane matthew pounding the coast of south carolina this hour. tornado watches issued in several counties as devastating winds and torrential rain pummeled that region. >> we have live team coverage this morning with jonathan serrie in folly beach, south carolina. first we are going to go to fox news meteorologist janice dean who has been tracking this storm. good morning, janice. >> we are tracking the fact that hurricane matthew has weakened a little bit. we need to weaken it a little bit more it has been a major hurricane for a week and now down to a category 1. 85 mile-per-hour sustained winds.

the tornado threat is going to be ongoing with some of these outer bands moving inland. and we could see water spouts and as they make their way toward the land, they become tornadoes. weak tornadoes are possible. tornado watch until 4 o'clock p.m. local time. we have a tornado warning here from one of these feeder bands moving across shore near the wilmington area. weak tornadoes but they could cause structural damascus. i want to show you some of the wind gusts in and around hilton head and buford. 60 miles per hour off the shore of charleston. south carolina. murettle beach as well. up towards north carolina here. at least tropical storm force winds. storm surge in some cases bo highigh tide. heavy rainfall 12 inches plus across south carolina and north carolina. and, then, the strong winds going to be ongoing. jonathan serrie we have been

following you at folly beach. looks like the winds have calmed down a little bit. you are just around the charleston area. give me your locater. >> that's right. we are in folly beach, one of the barrier islands just off the coast of charleston. and it appears that the wind is beginning to shift direction and so i can't tell if the winds have temporarily died down or if we're just on a protected side of the building where woe are standing in front of our hotel. but the rains we have been experiencing heavy rains on and off. and then behind me you can see the surf just battering the pier. right now this is areas is experiencing low tide so fortunately that's mitigating some of the effects of the storm surge. but some of the barrier island communities further down the coast were experiencing some problems overnight. etis stow island reporting water washing up under. so homes there the state had

top of the show. and that may alter the outcome of the debate and affect his ability to control the flow of the debate. that's why if i were the trump campaign i would strongly consider some public comments between now and sunday night. not on a teleprompter but something straight from the heart that shows real contrition. otherwise this whole issue may affect his ability to get control of the debate sunday which will then of course effect the ability to win the debate in the eyes of the voters. >> you say control debate but he's also got to control the message and the economy. something everyone saying he needs to revert back to. how does he do that in this sort of town hall type format which he's done a number of times but it's more intimate. you also have the audience taking part as well. >> yeah, he needs some question from the audience that deal with trade and jobs. in the last debate when he got on these topics, he was really strong. that was right at the top of the debate. you see he's still winning this in some of the surveys better on the economy than hillary clinton. he also needs to try to pivot on any question, any topic he needs

to try to restore the control of the debate to the area of economy and jobs so he can say, look, what really matters to people is do i have a job, can i pay for my kids' education, am i going to have a better quality of life for my children and grandchildren. everything has to return to that bucket for him and to the extent the debate gets off that track it's going to be hard for him to control and it will not be a good night. >> scott, you can just feel the train coming down the tracks right now, right? i mean, how do you -- we all want people to be talking about the economy, but when you have these republicans defecting saying they're pulling support for him, rumblings they're asking should mike pence step in and run in his place? how do you handle that at the debate? you want to get back on message and you're asked about whether or not you're going to be the candidate after the night. >> tough. >> it's a great question. it's why i would strongly consider public comments or a press conference between now and then because when those kinds of questions come up at the debate, you can say, look, i held a press conference, made a speech,

janice deen live in our weather center with the latest there. >> good morning. we're watching charleston very carefully. a really strong band went through the area with at least tropical storm force winds. and they're getting the rain as you saw in that live shot. we'll definitely talk to bill in just a second, but we have watches to talk about. tornado watch until 4:00 p.m. local time for parts of south carolina and north carolina where we could see weak tornadoes that could cause some structural damage because we've got these outer bands moving across land we've already got that rotation in place. forecast rainfall really could be staggering in some of these areas, upwards of a foot. and the ground is saturated. so you saw that tree coming out of the ground with its roots, that's the type of thing that we could see. and power outages are going to be imminent all along the east coast of south carolina up towards north carolina and maybe even virginia. and you can see the flood advisories we have in place. so not done yet. still a category 1. hopefully offshore by tomorrow

afternoon. and we will be so happy to say good-bye to hurricane matthew. >> yeah, for sure. >> yeah. >> thanks, janice. we want to get to bill live in charleston, south carolina, along the battery there, which is a really beautiful part of town where people go jogging along the water. and there's million dollar homes look like they're under water, bill. >> yeah, good morning, guys. obviously not the best time for some jogging right now. the charleston harvard behind us. the seawall has officially been breached. the flooding is a result of that. let me step out of the way so you can see what we're looking at. this park is completely under water. we haven't gone to see how deep it is, but taking a look at the fire hydrant halfway submerged we're guessing a foot maybe two feet of water submerging this entire park area right now. now, we wanted to get up to the railing to kind of show you guys the waves coming up over that seawall, but our first broke the

wave, water, all too intense. there are some really nice homes up here. there are million dollar historical home properties right here, some of which are flooded, the yards are flooded. and the good news here is that this part of charleston is an absolute ghost town right now. there is nobody, okay. you'll remember governor nikki haley said she wanted at least a million folks to evacuate from the area. they only got about 300,000, which they weren't too happy about. they shut down i-26, so all traffic going into charleston they wanted everybody going out. and listen to this, the national weather service, they gave us some information saying that at ft. sumter -- about to lose my hat here, that's the civil war -- that's where the civil war first started off in charleston harbor. there goes the hat. they got a wind gauge -- or they got a storm surge rating of over nine feet. okay. that is third highest in history for ft. sumter. that's right behind hurricane hugo back in 1989. so as you can see here the full

wrath of hurricane matthew here in charleston, this park flooded. we've been watching this water come over the wall. and, again, we do have to point out we've seen some folks that are curious, evidently. they've been trying to drive through these flood waters to get up to the battery to take a look at the waves. obviously extremely ill advised. you've all heard the saying turn around, don't drown. thankfully they did end upturning around but had this water been deeper their cars could have gotten stuck, it could have been a very, very messy situation. we're going to keep staying reporting live out here in charleston for you guys giving you the latest coverage. again, we heard you had a reporter in folly beach, that's obviously getting hit pretty hard as well. >> yeah. >> all right. >> go get that hat. >> thanks, bill, doing a great job in charleston. >> what a beautiful area, too. so sad. another big story this morning, donald trump offering a rare apology for leaked decade old comments he made about women. here's a portion of that. >> i've got tictacs in case i

start kissing her. i'm automatically attracted to beautiful women -- i just start kissing them. it's a magnet. and when you're a star, they'll let you do it. you can do anything. >> whatever you want. >> fox news senior national correspondent john roberts is covering the fallout this morning from st. louis on the eve of the second presidential debate. good morning, john. >> and good morning to you, clayton, tucker and abby, that tape gets a lot more vulgar than that too, but we figured you didn't need to have that along with your cheerios this morning. we'll save that for later in the day. suffice to say it tape release comes at the worst possible time for donald trump. he was hoping to make a real comeback in tomorrow night's debate here at washington university in st. louis. he's been practicing hard all week. he did that town hall in preparation for it on thursday night then this comes out. now he's seeing a lot of republicans who are turning their backs on him. so late last night the campaign made the decision that the only way to try to get ahead of this at least at the very beginning

was to make a nonrepented apology, if you will, so just after midnight last night donald trump released on twitter and facebook this message. here's a part of it. >> i've never said i'm a perfect person, nor pretended to be someone that i'm not. i've said and done things i regret. and the words released today on a more than decade old video are one of them. anyone who knows me knows these words don't reflect who i am. i said it. i was wrong. and i apologize. >> it remains to be seen whether or not this can fix some of the damage because a lot of it has already been done. the senate majority leader mitch mcconnell sent out a statement yesterday in which he said, quote, these comments are repugnant and unacceptable in any circumstance. illinois senator mark kirk who has had a long running feud with donald trump tweeted this out yesterday, djt is a malignant clown unprepared and unfit to be president of the united states.

and his running mate, mike pence, was said to be, quote, beside himself. his wife karen furious over what was revealed yesterday. but at a rally in roxford, ohio, which occurred after the story broke, his running mate mike pence didn't seem to indicate anything was a miss at all. listen to this. >> and when he does this talk and doesn't go tiptoeing around all those thousands of rules of political correctness that the media puts in the way for men and women that want to make a difference -- >> so donald trump today is going to be engaged in debate preparation. we understand the rnc chairman reince priebus who is also very critical of those remarks and chris christie will be working with him at least for a time because reince priebus will be heading to wisconsin for the fall fest event at which donald trump was supposed to appear on stage campaigning for the first time with the speaker of the house paul ryan. but paul ryan who said he was sickened by donald trump's comments yesterday disinvited mr. trump, so mike pence will be taking his place on the stage

today. >> john roberts, crazy, crazy morning in the world of politics. thanks, john. >> thank you, john. >> all right. geraldo's here to break this down. geraldo, i don't think there's much controversy about the fact these are bad comments. i don't see anyone defending him. i don't think anyone's going to defend them. you know trump well, the mystery for me is what does he do next? how does he respond to this? >> well, how do you respond to a nuclear attack? i think that right now his campaign is on life support. this is an existential crisis. republicans are deserting the sinking ship. abby's dad, former governor of utah among others calling on trump to withdraw from the race. you have, you know, these comments are so grotesque in the context of this heightened sensitivity to sexual assault and sexual harassment that no one's going to laugh this off. the fact that he made that extraordinary midnight apology, i think that might have been helpful, but when you compare his apology to billy bush's,

billy bush said i'm ashamed, i'm deeply embarrassed. billy bush's apology was more profound and sincere it sounded to me than donald trump's which seemed reluctant, i'm not a perfect person, i've made mistakes. all hillary clinton has to do at the debate tomorrow is read a list of all the republicans who have deserted him or are deserting him, unendorsing him or disendorsing him and read some of the comments by reince priebus and some of the others. paul ryan supposed to be this big rally in wisconsin today. paul ryan disinvited him. the person i feel worst for is probably mike pence aside from melania trump and the family, i think it's deeply, deeply unsettling to them. these comments even in the context of 2005. 2005 is the current world we live in. it's not like you're going back deep into the '90s or madmen era of the '70s.

it's not a question of being for it or against it, tucker. i think you have to face the fact that here you have the story of wikileaks dumps the e-mail story and the speeches, the wall street speeches now are revealed. and you read them and there's a modest embarrassment for secretary clinton in there. it is a minor front page story but blared everywhere is trump the misogynist. >> look, i was offended by what trump said. and i'm mad at trump for saying it, period. however, hillary clinton said i'm for open borders, quote, i'm not mischaracterizing. she said that. that will destroy america like that. so like is there really a comparison? >> to me the main thrust of her message skpr message, and this is where you cap her in hypocrisy and double dealing and this is why she sorts of suppresses these speeches is she is for world trade. you know, she wants in the

trump's. thomas on facebook says you don't excuse poor behavior by pointing to other poor behavior. we should expect more from our nominee. >> that's -- that's what howie carr said earlier. i don't think apologizing and tying bill clinton to your apology is a smart move. >> the attack dog style trump usually goes on people are criticizing him this morning. and you know what, kim on twitter is a big trump fan, she says, no, it isn't nice, get over it. as women i am still supporting trump. hillary is far worse for women than trump. so that's an interesting comment from miss kim. but angel says neither issue matters. we have to focus on what really matters. she says america needs to focus, there are far bigger issues than trump's open mike comments and clinton's speeches. let's get back to reality, face the issues not the schoolyard tactics. >> that's so well said. we've been talking about that all morning long is that is what the focus needs to be and that

the audio it's more troubling. we all knew this was donald, the lewd guy, the joking guy in the locker room. so does anyone care at the end of the day? like we know this is how he is, so -- is this going to affect him in any kind of way? >> now we know it wasn't about the size of trump's hands but what he's been doing with them. what trump should do continue to offer a sincere apology because to your point everyone has -- >> that apology -- >> it was a good first step. good first step. but some people haven't seen or heard the video, right? so he has to continue to offer sincere apology and leave attacking clinton's sexual escapades alone, leave it up to the surrogates to do that so that way his policy stands on its own. >> the white house is no place for a sexual predator. and i think we need to stop minimizing what was said. it's very important that -- >> we know --

i have talked to voters who say this time and time again. now donald trump's back at the beginning. he has to make amends with the republican leaders, the leaders of his party and also getting crushed by hillary clinton among women. this is not going to help. >> wikileaks we were wondering what was in these bank transcripts that she's been speaking to these wall street banks for so long. we get a final -- we finally get a glimpse of these. i offer she would not be the nominee if these came out five months ago during the democratic primary. do you believe that she would be? >> i believe she would be. >> you believe that? >> i do. because guess what, when you're a president, you have to work with various people across the aisle and you have to work with different sectors. wall street financial institutions are a sector. and you cannot say i'm not going to deal with you with the socialist economy that's not going to happen. >> would she be the nominee today if these transcripts came out a few months ago, john? >> not likely. you have to appeal to multiple constituents, but you also have to tell the truth. you can't say one thing in private and then one thing in

and we are back now with a fox news alert. hurricane matthew pounding the coast of south carolina at this hour. tornado watches issued in several counties as devastating winds and torrential rains pummel that region. >> janice dean has been in the weather center for looks like days now. and she's got -- >> you can't tell though. >> no, you can't tell, janice. >> well, we have magicians for hair and makeup. and i have to give a big shoutout to rick who's been taking the overnight shift. you know, i've been really lucky to do the daytime hours and he's been doing the overnight. i hope rick is sleeping. let's take a look right now, the good news is the storm is weakening, finally. but it is still 75-mile-per-hour sustained winds. we have the risk for storm surge

along vulnerable coastline of the carolinas, up towards north carolina and then we also have the threat of heavy rainfall and tornadoes. and you mentioned this tornado watch in effect for parts of south carolina and also georgia -- i'm sorry, south carolina, north carolina until 4:00 p.m. locally. and that's because we've got these outer rain bands that are scraping the coastline. and we've already got that rotation, that weak rotation, so the potential for tornadoes exists. the good thing is they have lifted the tornado warning around the wilmington area. the wind gusts have been really incredible along the coast here. and you've got vulnerable coastline here with the storm surge. anywhere from six to nine feet. we're seeing historic storm surge on areas that have never seen this amount of water being piled up on the shoreline. the wind gusts have been really incredible along florida and the southeast coastline with wind gusts in excess of 107 miles per hour. and there's the future radar, so we're going to continue to monitor this for the next 12 to 24 hours and then finally, finally, matthew will be offshore.

but this has been an incredible storm. you know, a major hurricane for a week, and that, you know, that's historic. we'll be happy to see matthew go. and then of course a lot of people are going to be assessing the damage in the days to come. >> yeah, long road ahead. janice, thank you. >> thank you, janice. a bombshell revelation in the clinton campaign. wikileaks just released hillary clinton's closed door wall street speeches, they seem to be real. these seem to be the speeches bernie sanders has been demanding for months. clinton had been promising to look into releasing those speeches. of course that never happened. >> and now it has. kristen fisher joining us now with more on this story. a bombshell, another one last night. >> how many times have y'all said bombshell today? >> i lost count. i don't know. >> all of these stories warrant it. they really do. you know, this one for months now hillary clinton has been called onto release transcripts o of her paid speeches to financial firms. it was a very contentious issue throughout the democratic primaries. remember senator bernie sanders even confronting her head-on

about it during a debate in march. >> one of us has given speeches on wall street for hundreds of thousands of dollars. now, i kind of think if you get paid couple hundred thousand dollars for a speech must be a great speech. i think we should release it and let the american people see what the transcript holds. >> and i -- >> let me -- >> and i have said, and i will say again, i'll be happy to release anything i have as long as everybody else does too. >> and that's not the only time the subject would be brought up to hillary clinton in the coming months. at a debate in april she was asked if there's nothing in those speeches that you think would change voters minds, why not just release the transcripts and put the whole issue to rest? listen to her response. >> there isn't an issue. when i was in public service serving as the senator from new york, i did stand up to the

you missed it. >> you've got this crazy system where all of a sudden 25 million more people have health care and then the people are out there busting it sometimes 60 hours a week wind up with their premiums doubled and their coverage cut in half. it's the craziest thing in the world. >> so premiums going through the roof on the insurance side, insurance companies bailing, we saw what happened in tennessee this week. is this going to be a subject in the debate, you think, neil? >> well, it should be. it's interesting too if you think about it less than 24 hours later someone must have gotten to bill to say could you reign that back a little bit. and he did a little bit to say about the million who are now insured who weren't insured. of course the irony that he was pointing out just a day earlier in that clip you alluded to was that this is costing tens of millions of americans more through the nose. now, the focus seems to be a lot on what donald trump was saying about women 11 years ago, and not so much these e-mails.

i think the focus obviously should be on all of the above. how much each gets played tonight is anyone's guess, but we're going to be looking at the fallout from what donald trump said, the fallout from these hillary clinton e-mails and the fallout of course on this hurricane. but it is important to point out, and i caught your prior guest talking about the clinton e-mails. another little bombshell in those e-mails is what she thinks of unbridled trade and trade agreements. as you know she's come out against this transpacific partnership deal and yet in a lot of these comments she was making to the wall street community she was embracing what she called unfeddered trade. it fuels an argument that does hillary clinton say one thing to a political audience and another to a private audience. that wouldn't be the first time a politician's been charged with that, but i just think it's fair in this time and age where we're focused on what people were saying years ago to focus on this. candidate saying this not more than months ago. >> frustrating does seem like

the national conversation is being controlled by the people in power who are all aligned on one side. so you've got big business, you've got hollywood, the political class and of course academia all aligned on hillary clinton's side and squelching conversation that doesn't help her in elevating conversation that does. it seems like a lot of power in a small number of hands, doesn't it? >> what worries me more to the point is if you're going after one candidate -- by the way, have at it, but four years ago we can all remember going after mitt romney. >> yeah. >> saying it's probably more like infamous 47% far less deal in publicizing hillary clinton's comment to donors talking about a variety of issues, even when it came to trade positions. i think fair is fair, going after both maybe they'll touch on that in this debate. but we tend to see here a sort of selected choosing. >> neil, what happens from here? because i don't think anyone hearing the hot mike comments are saying, you know, they

standby that. but what happens from here for donald trump? because he was supposed to do this event with speaker paul ryan today, now mike pence is doing it. you also have prominent republicans speaking out saying this is time for mike pence to come forward. how does donald trump handle this tomorrow night in the debate? and what do you think this means going forward for him and for the republican party? >> you know, i wish i knew. you know, every time you count him out with either an outrageous statement or controversial comment, i think tucker mentioned you go all the way back to, you know, the john mccain issue and he's really not a hero. i don't know where you go. i just think that everyone's counted him out. if i had a dime for each and every comment that illicited that, well, i'd have a lot of dimes. i don't know. i think it's fair to say going into the revelation of these comments donald trump was having a tough time with female voters. i'm sure this doesn't help matters any. but he is still very competitive in polls even prior to this. again, no idea, but it's

it's good to be in, good hands. we are back with a fox news alert. tracking the path of destruction of hurricane matthew what it caused in florida entire cities are now under water, more than a million people without power and at least four people in the state are now dead. >> we're in jacksonville, florida, with the latest on the cleanup efforts there. hey, garrett. >> hey, good morning, y'all. hurricane matthew is long gone from here but we are still seeing some winds kick up, the occasional rainfall as well. the storm surge which was the biggest concern among officials all along the coastline, it is mostly receded, but jacksonville and jacksonville beach along the coastline where we are a lot of these areas are very low lying. right where we are this is -- that's why there's still a lot of this flooding a couple feet. you can see right here in front of me this is some of the debris from looks like a dock or a pier

or something that was on the beach about 100, 150 yards from here. you can see this parking lot right next to us, it's completely dry. that's because it is more raised. but you can see debris throughout the parking lot from where the storm surge was coming yesterday. take a look at what it looked like just 24 hours ago right where we are is hurricane matthew sending the pounding waves of the ocean all the way in to downtown jacksonville beach, flooding first several blocks of the city. to get an idea of just how powerful this storm is as well, take a look at the video we shot of the jacksonville beach pier, or at least what's left of it. 24 hours ago that pier was about 100 yards longer than it is right there. it was originally destroyed by hurricane floyd back in the late '90s. it was rebuilt and supposed to be able to withstand a hurricane. clearly the 100 yards at the end of it did not. now, take a look around here in this neighborhood. you can see this flooding goes

couple guys egg egg each other on. but here's the bottom line, i don't know if anybody is really so stunned by this it deserves the wall-to-wall coverage that it's getting. and i'm going to get to hillary in a minute. but the most important part of all of this is it was 11 years ago. we've now got a man who apologized, and to some people it wasn't a sufficient enough apology. okay. i'm sure that he's going to probably do more in the next 24 hours. but the bottom line is this, america's in a mess. who do you want? do you want a guy who's got a past who admits he's got a past? you know, he didn't plan to run for president? or do you want a two-talking woman who hides everything that she says, denies the truth until it's put in front of her and then she'll still deny it and say don't believe your lying eyes. we've got problems in this country. we've got problems with jobs,
