the news media happens to launch a lynch mob. this is a cue day -- coup d'etat. at the end of it, let's do a poll, before the debate. okay. now, i'll bet you -- >> that's the headline. >> so they can come back and say well he's dead. do you really want to be with a corpse and the average republican who doesn't understand history and context goes oh, my god, i better run and hide? no, you got 28 days to win this election. you got 28 days to stop hillary clinton who will be the most corrupt, most dishonest person ever to occupy the presidency. >> donald trump addressed the tape at the debate and he apologized. we had somebody on who said that was enough for her. has he done enough on that? because if you turn on the tv on another channel, that's all they are talking about. that and the poll.
4:40 am
>> of course. people in the country have to understand the elite media are hillary clinton. it's not that they are for hillary clinton. you get some of this in the wikileaks. they talk about various reporters who are their reporters. >> and not asking secretary of state kerry anything about the emails. somehow somebody in the media who said when they interview secretary kerrly don't ask about the emails and they don't ask about the emails. >> if this is a historic choice between somebody who ought to be jail and change, clinton will be beaten badly. the country has two full weeks before early voting has occurred to have this conversation. if trump was disciplined as he was yesterday in pennsylvania, if he stays on these themes, my guess is in the end he will win. >> so right now, exactly 4 tuesdays from now. we'll do some picking. you think he's going to win.
4:41 am
>> i think he has every chance to win. i think it's uphill because of the news media but it's downhill -- look, you have never seen a person as -- the new york post cover story tells it all. this is a person whose -- who is on staff says she's a liar. if they asked the question do you want 600 million people to come into the u.s. like hillary clinton, that alone would knock her down to 25% of the vote. >> we'll continue the conversation. newt gingrich is sticking around. up next, his wife calista is joining us on the couch. she's got a special surprise. he was an undecided voter with a snazzy red sweater. how is he handling the fame. and the one and only ken bone is here to confront chris chulo about stealing his look.

>> the political power couple releasing a new book today. his is a political thriller. it's called hail to the chief, calista's six edition series to ellis the elephant series. today, where is he? >> today, ellis is resting in washington. >> bottom line, it's a busy news cycle. >> why is this book so important? i'm raising a daughter. the last time i interviewed her, i didn't have her in my life. now i do. why did you write this?
4:46 am
>> this is the sixth book in my ellis the elephant series and this book is about the american presidency. ellis learns about our greatest presidents and really how they have led throughout our nation's history and this is so important for our children because, you know, this is our 45th presidential election and our kids need to know what the presidency means and to do that they have to learn about our greatest leaders and this is what i hope for in "hail to the chief." >> if they don't, they end up in a jesse watters feature and make a total jerk of themselves. >> it's so important to learn our american history and unfortunately a lot of kids around doing so today. >> sure. the book is terrific. i read it the other day and ellis goes back in time and meets some -- a few of the presidents and in the back, you have thumbnail sketches of all the presidents. it's got to be daunting when your husband is newt gingrich who is a really famous historian
4:47 am
to be doing something of an historical nature. maybe that part -- newt, that is right? >> we talk a lot. we outline these books together. i do a little fact-checking with newt once in a while as well. >> newt, you decide to leave ellis in the dust bin and not worry about that ellis. >> she's in the garage. >> you want to write "treason." >> first of all, never assume i leave ellis. i don't want ellis to hear that back in washington, oh, my god, newt is leaving me. >> you say -- ellis is watching television. >> of course. >> tell us about "treason." >> we started last year with "duplicity." we were putting together a way that terrorism intersects with politics and the way it divides us. we started for example in duplicity with a somali american in minnesota running for

congress while his brother is the number one leader of al shaba shabaab. here what we do is we have two terrorists who are american government officials but who are now loyal to isis. really based on the revelations about the soviet spies in the 40s. what would it be like if somebody very high up in the fbi had actually converted and was loyal to isis and was operating on behalf of isis. >> that's scary. how do we make sure that's not happening now? >> you can't. that's why it's very timely. it raises precisely the fundamental counterterrorism problem which is you have a movement which is deeply ideological that you can pick up on the internet and you have somebody who converts, well, what if they are really high up and they are really smart and they really decide, you know, the way i can really help, i ain't going to syria to be a terrorist carrying a gun. i'm going to stay rite here and under mine the american government. this combines a lot of action
4:49 am
with the very real maneuvering inside the bureaucracy by people who are in favor of isis and islamic supremism. >> what's the jeopardy? >> the ultimate jeopardy and the reason i worry about this every single morning that sooner or later they are getting a nuclear weapon. whether it's from north korea, pakistan, iran. people understand that 9/11 could have been nuclear. add a few zeros. it could be 300,000 or more. there's a hillary clinton quote from 2013 where she said terrorism isn't a threat to the u.s.? let me tell you the morning a nuclear weapon goes off in the united states, we will never again be the same country because we will be so traumatized by the scale of human suffering.

>> luckily it's a novel, it's called "treason." and ka list at that. >> calista told she she's trying to order that sweater on line for you but it's sold out. >> he will join using live. ken bone live. >> he's not bad to the bone! >> can you put it in the dryer? do you have to hand wash it? we'll find out. people say, let's just get a sandwich or something. "or something"? you don't just graduate from medical school, "or something." and we don't just pull smoked chicken, bake fresh foccacia and hand-slice avocado. there's nothing "or something" about it.

undecided voter has won over all of our hearts. >> what steps will your energy policy take to meet our energy needs while at the same time reminding environmentally friendly and minimizing job loss for fossil power plant workers? >> excellent question. little did that man know that his questions would propel ken bone to stardom, even sparking interest in everybody wanting that red sweater. >> ken now joins us from st. louis. ken, when did you realize that your question was really resonating and your person was really gaining fame? >> good morning, too. thanks for having me on. we were not allowed to have any electronic devices with us and we were sequestered at the debate venue from 8:00 a.m. until the debate was over at 10:00. we didn't have access to our phones or anything like that. when i turned my phone back on, when i got back to my car at 10:30 central, i had thousands

of notifications and twitter friend requests and facebook friend requests. i'm just really glad that i have a small platform to encourage people to spark the debate on energy and get out and vote. >> people are trying to buy that sweater. apparently they are sold out right now. the sweater was plan b. what happened to plan a, what you were going to wear? >> if you want to find the sweater, i bought mine at kohl's in wausau, wisconsin. >> using kols kohl's cash. >> i was going to wear grandpa's favorite suit. i got a little fatter than i used to be. i got in the car and tore the pants open. i had to switch to emergency plan. >> you admit that on national

television. you are so transparent. i think you should run for president. i know you are an undecided voter. have you decided now? >> well, you know, i can tell you all these stories because i'm not running for office. i'm not hold enough for president. i think i'm actually more undecided than i used to be. on the one hand, we have donald trump who probably represents my personal interests a little more especially economically, working in the fossil powered electricity field. but at the same time, we have a supreme court vacancy and donald trump's nominee, there's a real danger that we would take a step backwards on equal rights that we've done for all americans over the last eight years. >> so you are still undecided. >> almost a personal interest, i'm still undecided. i want to hear something positive from one of the candidates instead of why i shouldn't vote for the other. >> all right. >> i can't wait. i guess you need another debate. >> thanks, ken. we'll check back with you and

good tuesday morning to you and your family. it's october 11th, 2016. happy birthday dad. donald trump is back on the campaign trail and warning you the voter about a rigged election. >> they just said, there's no way we're three down. even the polls are crooked. we're in a rigged system, folks. >> plus, he's awake and just issued a brand-new message for paul ryan. another wikileaks document dump of thousands. was bill clinton about to be pulled from the campaign trail and what hillary really thinks

about syrian refugees? here's a hint. it's not what she's saying in public. then, think no one could ever steal the spotlight from donald trump? think again. >> you want to go back to them or do you want to stay with donald trump? >> trump! [ cheers and applause ] >> meet the pint-sized politician that brought the house down and putting a smile on your face. don't lie. >> when asked, why you are happy, it's because your mornings start with friends. >> lust let -- just let your love floe -- >> i love these guys. screen left, you got the bellamy brothers. >> and one of the baldwin brothers. >> it's a bellamy-baldwin book

ends. >> it's a lot of bs. it's an a-game we have ob -- on this special tuesday. laura ingraham joins us from our nation's capital. >> i was watching that rally live and i'm thinking oh, no, what if that beautiful boy says mommy and daddy and looks really scared. that was risky but it work out. >> it worked out perfectly. >> still getting big crowds. the momentum after friday. it looked like everything was blowing up but after the debate, i know the polls look bad. there is a double d deficit according to the "wall street journal." what do you think changes? >> i think republicans in capitol hill, it's not about trump's strong debate performance or the fact that thousands of people turn out for a rally. the headline in the washington post is that paul ryan breaks ranks with trump.
5:03 am
after two years that we've heard republicans complain that oh, we need the executive branch to get anything done. don't complain to us about funding planned parenthood. we need the executive branch. they finally have someone who is still within striking distance and they decide a month before the election, you know, we're just not going to support them, and yet vote for us down ticket. now, that is -- that perhaps is one of the most idiotic strategies i've ever heard of the republican party. >> it's a loose -- lose-lose. >> it's crazy. they are going to further distance themselves from the trump voters. last time i checked, almost 15 million primary voters turned out for donald trump. 15 million. message? why is it important for voters to go to the polls? there are some voters who are watching that are disappointed with both candidates. why is it important? >> i understand that. we live in reality. we don't live in a world where
5:04 am
suddenly this angelic figure is going to float down from heaven and be the republican nominee. we have donald trump. we people go out there as republicans and say, you know, i'm just going to vote down ticket. then you better be prepared for the following things to happen, mass amnesty given to illegal immigrants. a sovereign i at this and independence killing trans pacific partnership and years of economic growth. if you think that's getting us to the promised land politically, go ahead and vote down ticket. i'm living in the real world and i'm qog to fight on the last second on the last day on this campaign to bring that message to the american people. if the republican establishment abandons trump one month before the election and something bad happens like he
5:05 am
loses, bad to him and the republicans, the narrative is going to be they stabbed him in the back. >> yeah. there is no republican party. >> how do they recover? they are not gonna. they are going to splinter. >> you are absolutely right. what they have been saying is donald trump is blowing up the republican party and i say that is a false narrative. the people who are blowing up the republican party are the kelly ayottes, the paul ryan, all these people who run to the friends in the press after a strong debate performance, they run to their friends and there are running behind closed doors and tell you what goes og on. they never break ranks with their nominee and dump on their nominee in public in media. instead, they say our candidate
5:06 am
is a strong woman and she's going to fight for americans. i think paul ryan and all these guys -- i like paul ryan, personal,ly. i love him as a person. this is not personal. this is political strategy and if you want to have theories about how jack kemp, his policies are great and we need to go back to that, that's fine. go to a think tank and wright articles all day long, but if you are working in politics, politics is about winning. if you don't win, you cease to be a party that is relevant in america today. >> here's the question this morning. we're reading through all the wikileaks emails, the latest ones released yesterday. who is hillary clinton? she's out on the campaign trail saying we need to let all these syrian refugees in. 65,000 of them and when you read her emails from three years ago, her conversations with podesta and her conversations at these big banks, these transcripts have been released, she said in just three years ago, that we can't vet these syrian refugees, but if you hear her now, she has a different message. how are we going to know if
5:07 am
these syrian refugees leaving syria, going to jordan, how will the jordanians know if they are terrorists or not. >> we don't know. donald trump is the only person in the republican party was making this an issue other than maybe jeff sessions. if you want to have hundreds of thousands of islamic refugees in the united states, if you want to do that, ones that we can't vet, not proper immigration, then definitely vote for hillary clinton. but i think europe is dealing with the situation now and they realize they made a massive mistake in what they have done but there's no turning back. there's no turning back. >> they just arrested a syrian who was on a massive stabbing spree in germany. nice. they opened up their hearts and get stabbed in the back. let me ask you, the tape comes out friday. i know you've been -- you've been very stall -- stall wart in your support. what are your thoughts? what if another tape comes out? what do you think, what does
5:08 am
laura ingraham think? >> i said on saturday at the bakersfield business conference in front of a crowd of i guess 7 or 8,000 people. i was appalled and disgusted, but what i'm more appalled and disgusted as a political matter is the idea that we're going to sacrifice three seats on the supreme court and our ability to direct an independent country for the next four or eight years because of comments that were made years ago in a private setting by donald trump. i'm sorry. this is about the entire future of this country and extended out of the world, and now, now people are all on their high horse and saying, oh, well, i can't possibly do this. then you might as well start, you know, doing the phone banking for hillary clinton because every day that you are not helping preach the gospel of true capitalism and a strong independent america, you might as well be working for hillary because they do not break ranks.
5:09 am
hillary clinton is basically lied to the public, lied to congress on substantive national security matters regarding that private server and not one democrat has come out to criticize her. not one. now, why do you think that is? because they love hillary on that stuff? no. but they want to win because they are about power and the republicans are about pontificating. >> thanks for joining us. >> thes going to go to do her radio show. meanwhile, it's 9 minutes after the top of the hour. and heather joins us with big news. >> let's start out on the west coast, overnight, heart-stopping video has come in, showing a man plowing his truck into a group of native american protesters protesting columbus day. >> i'm going to take you out before you do! >> go around. with reaction to all of this. mr. stephen baldwin. >> good morning to "fox & friends." >> what is this like in your household because you have brothers that support one side and you support the other side, and you know, you've been friends with trump for a long time. >> well, again, even within families, this is what makes america great. you know the fact that we have the freedom to do all this, and i can continue to forge ahead with my being the baldwin brother with, well, quite frankly, the most common sense. i'm going to leave it right there. >> 7% of people say they have lost friendships over this election. it's probably going to get worse when we get a winner. >> it's going to get a whole lot worse. i think why i'm here a week before the first republican debates, before the debates we're dealing with now, i was on another network and i i just simply said, i don't want to say other than i think mr. trump is the right guy for the job because he's not a politician.
5:27 am
now let's talk about from then till now. how far he's come. made a bunch of mistakes. said some stuff the wrong way. but what's really important, dr. ben carson talked about this in the last 48 hours. number one, all of this stuff is just a distraction from the key most important things which are the issues at stake. who is the better person that will be enabled and empowered to steer the country back in the right direction? 50% of this country feels as though america is on the wrong track. i'm here just to say, particularly to the evangelicals and the faith-based christian vote, we have to get out there. ben carson also talked about how he's been praying with mr. trump before this last debate. how mr. trump is moving closer and closer and more intimately toward his christian faith. that's huge if you are an evangelical and a person of faith. we got to get behind mr. trump.
5:28 am
>> we had those remarks from access hollywood, you would think they are so profane, the first people to leave might have been the evangelicals. they are not going anywhere. why wouldn't be the evangelical community that you are a part of draw the line there. >> because i think they understand what's important for the future, and something mr. trump said 11 years ago, mr. trump calls it locker room talk, which you could go there with that. it's just plain wrong. you can't defend what he said being absolutely unacceptable. what's it got to do with who he is now, the team he's put together, mr. pence, he's getting counsel from guys like ben carson and evangelical leaders still standing by him because they understand what's more important. >> and even evangelicals are going to the polls because they are voting mike pence.
5:29 am
maybe he's influencing trump's life. a lot of evangelicals are hoping that's happen. >> already, he's been influenced tremendously. >> there's a big story, behind the scenes, if the "apprentice" tapes ever got out, it would show even more. behind the scenes, you've lived through two seasons. have you heard that lewd talk that many people say is out there? >> absolutely not. it's one of the reasons why way early on, my inactions and -- my observations of donald trump is a guy who was really fun and working with his kids and ivanka and don jr and eric were on the show. i saw a guy who was pretty relaxed and fun, you know. i want to just reiterate one idea and that is the key now is that people don't get distracted by all this stuff. you got to stay focused on the direction of the country and who is better qualified to take us
