tv Americas Election HQ FOX News October 19, 2016 11:00am-12:01pm PDT
11:00 am
thank you so much for having me today, had fun. >> yeah, good to have you here. come back. and thank you for joining us. america's election headquarters starts now. thank you guys, fox news alert, now seven hours and counting until the final presidential debate of the 2016 election, incredible. stakes are very high, hello everybody, i'm martha maccallum, and lock it fabulous las vegas. the setting for tonight's debate. airing here on fox news channel, of course. hillary clinton and donald trump are just hunkered down, no doubt, in their respective teams right now going over what they can expect, what might be coming their way tonight, how to respond. very, very important challenge before both of these two people. it's really their final opportunity to reach millions of american viewers and to make their case to those undecided voters of which there are many still in this race. opportunity clearly that neither one wants to squander with the election just 20 days away now.
11:01 am
what's their strategies tonight? what are you hearing? >> well they recognize that this is arguably and donald trump actually says this, we'll show you him talking about it. the most important night of the entire campaign. and kellyanne described it as a comeback opportunity recognizing he's slipped and as a consequence, trump has a number of different strategy and tactic options, and the question is does he come and play scorched earth or does he try to rise above it and act as he has attempted to over the course of the last year and a half to be quote more presidential. the scorched earth side of all of this has something to do with some of the guests that are coming tonight. among the invited guests that the trump campaign are bringing is mr. las vegas, the famous wayne newton, but there are also two others. there is the mother of one of the fallen at the benghazi
11:02 am
incident in libya and there is the president's half brother, malik obama of kenya and the u.s. will also be in the audience at the trump campaign's invitation. and this comes after president obama slapped trump pretty aggressively yesterday in that rose garden news conference with the italian prime minister. trump has put out a video today, talking about the debate in an attempt to raise a little bit of money. watch this. this is a little bit of that video. >> tonight's debate is the biggest night of the campaign. i'm going to take the stage to fight for you, the american people. i'm going to hold crooked hillary accountable and stand up for the forgotten americans she's left behind for 30 years. she hasn't done the job, she never will. >> reporter: and that really plays to what trump's preferred strategy would be, would be to cast himself tonight as a change agent and point out that hillary clinton over her 30 something years in politics has been in his mind a failure. whether it was the secretary of
11:03 am
state or as a candidate and specifically he will use the wikileaks e-mails to show that the clinton foundation and the state department were colluding and that she is corrupt. that's the stuff he wants to talk about. and in casting himself as a change agent, he'll talk about his ethics reforms that were proposed this week as well as his proposed constitutional amendment for term limits on congresses in his words to drain the swamp. very pop list with some specific issues to contrast against what he calls clinton's failures. martha. >> got his work cut out for him. thank you very much. preparations continue for hillary clinton in the final hours before the debate as well. but at tonight's big event, she could face an added challenge. a new set of questions as more rounds of e-mails are released by wikileaks, wikipedia -- surrounding her campaign. national security correspondent jennifer griffin live in the spin room at the university of nevada at las vegas for more. do we know where bill clinton will be tonight, jennifer?
11:04 am
>> reporter: well, it's a great question, martha. we are here in the spin room. it's a little bit quiet right now, but it'll be a complete circus later tonight. what we know is it is now still being negotiated where bill clinton will be tonight. we know that chelsea clinton will be in the audience, but, we are told that the campaign won't confirm yet whether bill clinton will be in the front row as he has been at prior debates. they're still negotiating so that the two families do not have to shake hands. the clinton side does not want to have that moment where bill clinton has to shake the hand of melania trump because the clintons are worried that donald trump will try to position a surprise guest in melania's place and force bill clinton to face the hand of one of the women who has accused him in the past of sexual assaulting them. campaign chairman john podesta was just asked about trump inviting president obama's half brother from kenya. >> look, i think that we're ready for anything.
11:05 am
and again, i think this is a strategy that's driving trump down and as produced that lead, so, you know, whatever they're going to do as michelle obama says, when they go low, we go high. >> reporter: we're told that hillary clinton prepared slightly differently this time, knowing that she's going to be pressed on the wikileaks, on the james o'keefe video, on the quid pro quo allegations. she did spend about seven hours on sunday at her debate prep site we're told today she will not be doing the walk through, but again, this is a lot still being negotiated in the 11th hour, martha. >> all right, so what's the one thing her staff really feels she needs to accomplish out there tonight, jennifer? >> reporter: well her staff thinks that this is essentially the closing argument, her closing argument after a very long trial. you heard john podesta say what he thinks she needs to do. they think she needs to stay
11:06 am
high and they hope that donald trump doesn't go low. i think that is a big hope at this point. today her allies put out a video entitled a place for everyone. this is likely to be the theme for tonight's closing argumenting. her communications director jim was asked on the plane ride here, how they would respond if trump goes low. >> if he chooses to, you know, continue to embrace his strategy of a scorched earth campaign and bringing that to the debate stage, you know, she'll be prepared to handle that as she has the past two times. >> reporter: chris wallace, our own chris wallace has his work cut out for him tonight. there is no better interviewer, no better person to press both of these candidates tonight and we will all be here watching. thank you. back to you. >> looking forward to it, jennifer, thank you. fox news sunday anchor chris wallace moderating the showdown. the topics will include these, america's $19 trillion debt, entitlement program, something barely touched upon so far,
11:07 am
immigration, the economy, the supreme court, a pivotal issue for many voters out there, foreign hot spots and lastly, fitness to be president which has been one of the biggest talking points in the course of this whole debate so tar. brett brair has experience on the debate stage as well. you get to watch tonight from a perfect perch in that room. so you're going to see everything as it goes down, brett, good have you here, what are you looking for tonight? >> i think it'll be interesting to see how chris frames these questions and whether in those 15 minute segments, there are six of them, they can stay on the tracks. you know, something tells me in the past two, it didn't work out that well. chris, i think is going to try hold their feet to the fire as far as timing and ideally on these policy topics, but obviously donald trump wants to get to wikileaks. he wants to get to the fbi documents, he wants to get to the project tape, videotape, and
11:08 am
i'm sure hillary clinton has been practicing for that. >> you know, there's a lot of history, you heard jennifer discussing the potential for a handshake, no handshake, perhaps even paula jones being on the stage to sort of force a moment between bill clinton and paula jones. these are the previous two that was in hemptoday is, and they hook hands then. things were more cope stet nick those days i guess, and there's the other one. you got a nod at the end they finally did get a handshake. what do you make of all of this? >> it's just maneuvering and trying to get under people's skin and i think the trump campaign is kind of pulling out all the stops. it's a little, you know, you heard john podesta saying they're going to not worry about that, but they are worried about it. the clinton campaign is negotiating with the debate commission about that spouse handshake. i mean, think about that, we are talking, you know, this is before the whole thing starts. this is before we even really go to air fully when chris takes
11:09 am
the air, we just see the shot. and you know, they were getting word that perhaps the trump campaign would put somebody in there to walk instead of melania trump to go shake bill clinton's hand. >> and obviously you don't even need to do it, just throwing the idea out that you might, and they, i think they do feel that having all of those clinton accusers last time kind of got her off a little bit. it's kind of like in sports, you know, it's like the trash talking before the game. >> well listen, mark cuban's going to be there tonight as well. and that is somebody that has gotten under donald trump's skin before. >> sure has. >> and i think we'll look at the sidelines, but the real meat of this is going to be how they deal with chris wallace. how they deal with each other. and which hillary clinton and which donald trump show up on that stage? because if it's the drimp that is trying to project reserved, i can be a leader, that's a different person than the donald trump on attack.
11:10 am
and i think it's going to be fascinating to see. >> really fix those two people and be the prosecutor and also be a potential president in people's eyes. it's a tall task. let's just go to wikileaks for a second here. i want to put this one up on the board so everybody at home can see it. this is from john podesta. advising, and she says, why did she, obviously hillary clinton, call herself a moderate? podesta says i pushed her on this sunday night. she doesn't remember her saying it. it goesen to say, she says it makes my life more difficult after telling every reporter i know she's a progressive. it worries me more that she doesn't know what planet we're all living in, brett. >> it's shocking when you look at the substance of these wikileaks e-mail us. and there, i mean you get to not only what's the public face of being a moderate or a progressive and that whole battle with bernie sanders in the primary, but you also frankly get to other issues
11:11 am
about is she remembering things? you get into the inside of that campaign and what they're talking about. i thought it was also interesting, senator marco rubio saying be careful, we could be next. >> absolutely. >> and, you know, don't jump all in -- >> everybody could be next, right? >> that's right. i'm going to be carrier pigeons and write you a note. >> snail mail. >> pick up the phone and talk. much safer. i can't believe the stuff they wrote about people in the e-mails. i find that shocking. for years people have been relatively careful about grounz you have something sensitive like that, you think they'd pick up the phone or stop by the office. thank you. i'll meet you by the office shortly to have a chat. good to see you. despite lagging poll numbers, donald trump's team is confident that they can beat hillary clinton. >> she has endless amount was money, media help, and she's running on experience and yet, she just can't get there. >> so can they do it? can donald trump turn things around tonight on the most important night of this entire campaign for him?
11:12 am
plus, trump claims that there is large scale voter fraud going on. you've heard the claims. we've been talking about it quite a bit in the past few days. we did fact checking, we'll show you what we found. all that coming up as our coverage of the final, final, final presidential debate. the day is finally here folks, we're live in las vegas, we'll be right back.
11:14 am
11:15 am
horrified crowds watched what was happening. demonstrators were rallying outside the embassy -- oh my gosh, awful. in manila. they called for an end to u.s. troops being stationed there. an increasingly strained relationship with united states. at least three student activists were hospitalized in that incident. so back to politics here in las vegas. let's take a look at some of the defining moments that he's had on this presidential race. the ups and downs and how they have affected the real clear politics average which is what most of us go to for sort of the best look across the board at the average of some polls and states and across the board. it's been quite a roller coaster. september 30th, okay go back there was trump's early morning twitter rant about the former miss universe, alicia machado. it had little impact on trump's numbers as you can see. kind of flat lined over the course of that area. a little bit higher. even in the following days. and then a week later, you have
11:16 am
october 7th, okay. this is when the big bomb dropped. his lewd comments on the videotape revealed by access hollywood. that sparked a dip in the numbers as you can see that's not guilty middle of your screen. two days later, the second debate when trump held a press conference with bill clinton accusers beforehand. clinton's number rises and trumps goes lower at that point. and then sunday's documents showing an alleged fbi state department quid pro quo. remember, if you take that c, the classified marking off, perhaps we could discuss some interesting new posts for fbi agents, according to to the state department. all that's been denied by them. everybody's had a chance to read those and look at the actual text of them so you can make up your own mind? clinton's numbers went down and then went back up. trump's rising then evening out. he's been flat lined over the past several days as you can see at the end of that. so let's bring in our senior correspondent washington examiner and podcast, he's been
11:17 am
examining this for us. interesting to see how these events have impacted this race, david. >> yeah, leading into the first debate, martha, donald trump was on the rise. he had caught hillary clinton, she had problem after problem in the press, on the trail, and she turned everything around, but i think that the bigger thing about that debate was not just that she performed well, it's that in the aftermath of the debate, donald trump decided to get into a fight with alicia machado and fight about the polling about the debate and he got completely offmessage, but it was a familiar donald trump. it was the donald trump in the republican primary where it worked so well, but it did not work in the general election. and here's the thing. hillary clinton, since that first debate got her base back on board. the democrats that weren't making it through the likely voter screens in the polls before that started seeping through. and that's why she got back in the game and ended up back in control of race. >> great point, dave. the sort of scorched earth politics worked -- it worked for him in the primary. i mean, there's no disputing.
11:18 am
he talked about yeah, you're going to be off the stage next time, and he was right. >> nicknames for everybody, he accused carli fiorina of not being attractive. and because republicans were mad at their own party and here was a guy beating up their own party. >> yeah, so then you look at the transition, which i think was always going to be argue about this, did he ever make the transition from the primary race to the general election? because you really had one job in the general election, and that was to prove that he could be president. presidential. be believe nbl that role. that's really been his most important task throughout. >> he never did he hasn't gotte. he had one brief moment, if you look over the many months, i call it a brief moment, the end of august, through the first debate. >> i call the kellyanne conway period. he changed his team and did a bunch of serious policy speeches across the country, which got press and he backed them up with fortifying those ideas during that moment, right? >> yeah, and that coincided with new revelations about hillary clinton's private e-mail server,
11:19 am
scandal surrounding that and fresh reporting on the clinton foundation, even though that's a lesser problem for her, but it all, it all snowballed to allow him to get back in the race for the first time. there were still signs that he was himself, he was donald trump throughout that, but he sort of let that trump recede. but, ever since that first debate, it's just gotten -- it's gone back to normal. now he wasn't helped obviously by revelations about the tape, this tape with the capital t i like it call it and more accusers about groping. but he has sort of fueled all of that by responding in a way that everybody believes that that's who he is. >> got the better of him on that top ib. >> hasn't given counter to the charges of his character. that's not the donald trump we know, they could look and go, here's a guy that says a lot of controversial things that's really forward. so, i kind of believe it. and that's been his problem.
11:20 am
and if that had come out of the blue. people might have said, that's not the guy we've known. >> he has 20 days from the moment in september. end of a august, september, we'll see tonight's a very big opportunity for him. >> it's his last, but it's there. >> it is there. dave, thank you very much. >> of course. so as iraqi and u.s. forces fight to retake the city of anamosa federal isis, new reports about just where the terror group's leader may be hiding. al-baghdadi. live in iraq with that report. donald trump calling the election rigged at nearly every campaign stop. fact checking on that, the results, may surprise you. and less than seven hours away from the beautiful state of nevada, in las vegas, folks. big showdown. it is fight night in las vegas. and we are here live covering all of it for you. we'll be right back. for lower back pain sufferers,
11:21 am
the search for relief often leads to this. introducing drug-free aleve direct therapy. a high intensity tens device that uses technology once only in doctors' offices. for deep penetrating relief at the source. new aleve direct therapy. and something amazing happens. that's our inspiration for fancy feast medleys. wild salmon primavera. tastes amazing. in gravy and pate. fancy feast medleys.
11:23 am
11:24 am
holed somewhere inside that city. benjamin hall is live with the latest of the outskirts of mosul, benjamin. >> reporter: yeah, hi martha. look, we were at the front lines today and what we saw was a bat that will has only just begun, but clearly going to take some time and indeed face a number of problems. there has been fierce fighting over the last couple of days, and some of the villages around mosul, peshmerga forces attempt to clear those on the way to the city. they're about two or three miles away at the moment, but despite optimism, it does seem that this operation will take quite a while. the next isis-held village is only a mile in front of us. and they're waiting for the order to move forward. what's becoming clear that is that this is going to take longer than thought. isis have held this territory for over two years and they crisscrossed it with tunnels and covered it with ids. this is going to take longer than anyone hoped. so what we saw were the difficulties they're going to
11:25 am
face. a number of villages had only five or six isis fighters in them and they took quite some time. mosul itself, there'll be around 4,000 fighters. and that is going to be real battle which we're all frankly dreading, martha. >> what kind of support exactly can you tell from fwlg. is the united states actually providing on the ground in this operation, ben. >> reporter: well, the air campaign is clearly the number one thing they're offering, but we've also been speaking to kurdish fighters who have seen special forces here that they are active and said there are about 100 of them at the moment who are behind from the front lines. it's widely expected that those special forces are helping to argument aerial strikes and today we also heard that apatchy attack helicopters will hit isis targets in and around anamosa panel and that's in support of the 25,000 iraqi and kurdish soldiers who were involved in the oermgs. and of course one point that can't be missed is the humanitarian crisis which is
11:26 am
looming. over a million civilians in mosul. isis is using them as human shields. food is running out there and now we're just hearing that there is a threat of chemical and gas attacks. so frankly, the future's looking bleak. and we will bring you up to date on everything that happens from over here in iraq, martha. >> all right, benjamin, thank you so much. so in recent days, donald trump has been pushing the idea that the election he says is rigged. and that voter fraud is a big issue in this country he says. running mate mike pence also picking up on that narrative. here's what he had to say. >> my running mate the other day started talking about the possibility of voter fraud at polling places, and the media went a little bit crazy about it. right? but don't kid yourself, voter fraud is real. in pockets around this country. and voter fraud disenfranchises every american, republican, democrat, independent, and it cannot be allowed.
11:27 am
>> trace gallagher digging in on this label the. he joins us now with more on that, trace, what did you find out? >> nobody is saying voter fraud doesn't happen because mike pence is right. we had many documented cases saying it does, for example, since 2012, more than 20 u.s. states have reported hackers either gaining access or trying to gain access into voter registration systems. in virginia, there was a case of a james madison university student who confessed to filling out voter registration applications in the names of dead people. and in the 2013 new york mayor's race, the city sent some 63 undercover investigators to polling sites with the intent to impersonate voters and 61 of them were in fact allowed to vote. and the list goes on and on, but experts say if you put all the fraud cases together over the past several decades, there is still no evidence of tilting the presidential elections and here's why.
11:28 am
almost all general elections are run at the state and local levels. so trying to coordinate any type of manipulation would be extremely difficult. texas is a very good example. the lonestar state has 254 counties that use a variety of voting methods with a series of checks and balances. and then you have states like missouri, where in 2008 and 2012 almost six million ballots were cast without a single report of fraud. and a study out of loil ya law school says that from 2000 to 2014, more than a billion ballots were cast with only 31 credible instances of voter fraud. here's a county election's direction in north carolina who has a reminder for donald trump, watch. >> he won north carolina. didn't he? and in the primary, we're using the same equipment. the same process, the same procedures. >> same process, that said, there are some preelection investigations going on as we
11:29 am
speak, like in indiana where some online voter registration forms had been altered. the indiana secretary of state says the system wasn't compromised, but the situation is big enough that the indiana state police is now involved. in that investigation, martha. >> no matter how small, any of these incidents, you have to stay on top of them. very important. thank you very much, trace. so another wikileaks podesta e-mail dump, every day there is another tronch of these coming out. they show major conflicts of interest for the clinton foundation. ed henry combing through them. he will boil it down for us and tell us what we need to know. plus this. >> reporter: at your last news conference four months ago, you said that israel had nothing -- u.s. had nothing to do with israeli armed shipments to iran when you knew that that was not true. why did you say that? >> chris, i'm glad you asked that. >> i'm glad you asked that. i wonder if they'll say that
11:30 am
11:32 am
wikileaks disclosing another big stash of clinton e-mails today in the latest of a flood of revelations during the final weeks of the campaign. ed henry is discovering new bomb shells in today's data dump. so ed, you've been combing through these, what's the latest in here? >> well martha, interesting, first of all on the e-mail scandal, we're now going sort of behind the scenes into the huddle there for the clinton camp, but what they were doing in august of 2015. as this was blowing up and learning that they were contemplating, drafted an open letter from hillary clinton to
11:33 am
the american people where she would express regret about the scandal. they said in part, in this letter, most of all, i regret that this issue has in any way overshadowed the service and accomplishments of the men and women in the state department who worked so hard for our country. they obviously never hit send on that open letter, perhaps could not get hillary clinton to go along with saying regret at that point. you remember at the very beginning, you've seen those pictures, march of 2016, made all these claims of no classified information on the server and the like, and then there in august of 2015, she had said, you know, laughed and mocked the idea of wiping the server saying what do you mean with the cloth? then we're told in the e-mails, the clinton camp con term mated a video that she might send out explaining herself. again, they didn't do that, this has dragged on. then today, new revelations about the clinton foundation. more of this behind the scenes battle between doug, clinton intimate, and chelsea clinton.
11:34 am
chelsea clinton raising questions about whether he was helping his business on the backs of the foundation. using her father's name. well, it turns out that doug band fired back and in some of these e-mails, how do we put in new reforms and go through an exercise like when bill clinton doesn't? he is far more conflicted every single day in what he does. why not apply the structure you set up for him to this situation? so the bottom line is, he is saying in these e-mails that chelsea clinton had a big role at the foundation and was using foundation office space to run a private business. so you have inside the clinton camp pointing fingers about all kinds of conflicts. >> it seems like those are some of the most damning we've seen really. he's making it clear that within the organization, he has a big problem with the conflicts that he sees bill clinton carrying out every single day in his duties. >> it's not republicans. >> married to the secretary of state at the same time.
11:35 am
so, you know, in terms of the e-mails per traying the clinton relationship, what's new there? >> john harwood from cnbc, he had already popped up in here sending e-mails to john podesta and others in the clinton camp about donald trump and how to take on, you know, ben carson and other republicans. there's a new e-mail where he gives the clinton camp questions he had prepared for mike huckabee saying you may face him in a general election. then writes an e-mail to john podesta about an interview that chuck todd on nbc saying amazing that some people think it's worth burning so much interview time with the person most likely to be the most president on her e-mails. katie couric also pops up in here. she was pitching an interview to the clinton camp in seeing in part, i'd also like to do a separate piece of business through social media along the lines of ten things you don't know about hillary clinton. that would showcase her personality and has a lot of viral potential. the idea of being wire reporters and anchors saying we want to
11:36 am
find ways to showcase the candidate's personality. that's obviously not what we're supposed to be doing as journalists. remember, john harwood actually moderated a republican debate during the primaries, even though he had this relationship with the clinton camp, martha. >> yeah. wow. so there's that. so the biggest takeaway from the last few weeks of clinton revelations are -- >> biggest takeaway, how is she winning by so much? if you go through all of these things, it's been tailor made for donald trump to grab back the lead. look at the past, not just on wikileaks, but just in the last few days. state department official patrick kennedy, these questions about quid pro quo with the fbi that's been denied, but it's listed in fbi document, in wikileaks, clinton official john podesta calling bernie sanders a doof doofus, even though they need the sanders supporters now. hitting catholics, having tough rhetoric in some of these e-mails. in that deposition, private
11:37 am
lawsuit where hillary clinton claims she couldn't recall various things about her e-mail over 20 times. and then remembered members of plat river networks as well as some clinton intimates. six getting immunity from the fbi leading to this exchange at a congressional hearing. >> any time you're talking about the prospect of subpoenaing a computer from a lawyer that involves the lawyer's practice of law, you know you're getting into a big thing. >> please, please let me interrupt you. >> sure. i understand that clearly. why did you not decide to go to an investigative grand jury? >> in general, in my experience, you can often do thing faster with informal agreements. especially when you're interacting with lawyers. >> and that is the other big thing. fbi director james comey under fire for looking like he's been lenient on hillary clinton. that was about sheryl mills and getting immunity so he could get to her laptop. let's remember, that laptop
11:38 am
later destroyed. there have been a whole series of things in the last couple of weeks. it's pretty remarkable it doesn't appear to affect hillary clinton in the polls, martha. >> indeed it is. ed, thank you again for breaking it down for us. there's a lot of there there and we're going through it day by day. caitlin collins joins us now. les si marshall, syndicated radio talk show host and fox news contributor. >> thank you for being here today. lesl leslie, it's very damaging. i mean, how has she managed to do this well despite all of these revelations? >> i think with certain things like the quid pro quo you have two different interviews. you have two different summations which is fbi and state department saying wait a minute, fbi asked for that after the fact, and of course the other which is more damaging. and i think it comes down to the trump camp believes one narrative. and that's where we see people right now. i think for the most part historically in presidential elections in most present day, people republicans going through a republican nominee. same with democrats.
11:39 am
we're seeing it was a 50/50 split in the country. undecided voters, what we're seeing citizen personal attacks on hillary have hurt trump and her sticking with the issues that when they go low, we go high has benefitted her. >> i think donald trump needs to hammer hillary clinton over these e-mails. she's not sincere enough, that her e-mail server and it shows these things and undecided voters should be paying attention to that. not just comments donald trump made 11 years ago. >> they're fighting over that middle. which you say, and it seems like they're looking for a person who has some integrity. right? i mean those are the issues that you're dealing with. you have all the stuff that donald trump's been hit with. which has made people question him. you have all of this that she's been hit with, which makes people question her. it seems to me like tonight is a golden opportunity for someone to get up on that stage and be
11:40 am
sincere, be humble, and be ready to lead. and i don't know. it sounds like we might gate slug fest. what do you think we're going to get, leslie? >> i don't think that donald trump will be prepared because he's been campaigning this week which i don't think helps him. i don't think that when she pokes the bear so to speak that he can't resist the bait and he's going to go for that bait. and i think he's going to repeat the same mistakes more so from the first debate than the second. because it's the two of them and she does better i think in that setting than a town hall setting. the undecided voters are angry on both sides of the personal attack. they want the issues to be discussed, they want specifics about the issues, and i would say both candidates better have those specifics tonight because, you know, this is it. and i also don't believe most people are undecided. i don't believe that -- >> i think a lot of people are undecided. you know, i ask people every day, and people tell me, honestly, no. >> and i think the undecided voters don't like either of them. it's not like which one would be a better one. they don't like either. >> that's right. >> they're trying to figure out

church is probably the one large church group that honors the 5013c rule and tries to stay out of politics. unfortunately for the american people and for the catholics in america, that's sort of allows people like palmieri to come out with these ridiculous statements and try to demean and diminish the marginalize the catholic church and catholics. i think it's -- i think it's just a bit further evidence of what we're seeing and what is being exposed. the underbelly of this sick culture that has grown in america that is, that is dragging these people to support the trump effort okay and they're scratching their heads and they're angry and this is just another element of it. to take advantage of cardinal
