american eelections. yesterday's speech was billed as trump's closing arguments so being there in banquet hall, basically, in gettysburg, we were surprised that he kicked this 100-day action plan talk with a big takedown on hillary clinton where he really laid into her for being corrupt. he is, again, organizing his final thoughts and he went point by point things we mostly heard before and wasn't surprised to hear that here as we get closer to the end. and also a surprise to hear him during a policy speech give a warning to all of the women who have come forward with allegations of decade-old sexual misconduct against trump and trump's warning to them is that they're all going to get sued by him once the election is over for lying. back to you. >> peter outside trump tower. thank you. yeah that last part was not helpful. that is the take away from most

the fact that he brought up women at all. he did it at gettysburg which had significant meaning for this country and, to your point, that's the headline. "new york post" says trump vows to fight accused system and why even bring this up? why? >> the people loork at washington like you are the richest city in america. you're the richest city because you're the seat of federal power and the money stirks uoney stic. obama were going to get rid of all the lobbyists. they're richer than ever because of all the mandates in obama care. they got paid to put them there. >> i want a swimming pool. i should have been a lobbyist. >> but something else you talked about was the power of the media and how they're getting too much

of it. he pointed specifically to time warner and a tt&t and this merg. here's what he said about that. >> they're trying desperately to suppress my vote and the voice of the american people. as an example of the power structure on friday. a tt&t is buying time warner because it's too much concentration of power in the hands of too few. >> yeah. ia ya think? if facebook and google, what if they turned off the path. what if they just didn't -- >> or they rigged it behind the scenes and you're seeing different contest. but if you have a few media companies doing that. that's what you get. >> this much and it should concern us.
3:08 am
it sound like a liberal talking point. liberals used to say this. they used to be worried about it and this is a huge problem. teddy roosevelt made this point. >> it was a roosevelt approach. it's corrupt against you. >> i think we're all saying some great points that were made yesterday at a powerful location. a lot of people were waiting to see what he had to say and a presidential moment for him and i could speak for myself. i was frustrated that he brought some other things n s into it. >> i'm frustrated that he gives the media the opening they want and not cover the depths -- >> it takes away from other headlines like wikileerks that don't seem to be getting nearly as much coverage because hillary clinton doesn't want to talk about it. she was asked about.

3:10 am
the question, is it real or not? are you saying these documents were forged by vladimir putin. >> you know this one follow up question -- >> i'm using this. that is good. >> you have to ask something specific because if i was hillary clinton or her campaign aide, if you don't have an answer, don't answer it. i don't blame her for that. but as the reporter your job is to find a specific narrative. to hit on something she has to answer it. >> and follow up and follow up, again. >> wouldn't yoursel self respec tell you. >> you have to know her favorite -- >> i'm not even going to try. we do have some other headlines to get to this morning. a desperate manhunt for a

what is the core message of the trump campaign is? >> i think it's real simple. donald trump will bring the change to washington that we desperately need. he talked about very clearly what he would do in his first 100 days and appoint a conservative supreme court justice to replace scalia and start to rebuild our military and focus on veterans affairs. create jo he's laid out a very specific plan he's been doing a lot of that over the course of the last several months. yesterday, he made an incredibly powerful closing argument in gettysburg. what a great place and how he will turn our country around. >> talking about things you don't normally hear from a politician. sarah, with less than three weeks to go, what are you telling the women. women get out to vote more than the men do. he's struggling with women. what do you tell him as his surrogate. what do you tell the women out there who can't make that decision and aren't on board
6:26 am
yet. what do you tell them? >> one or two people are going to be president. donald trump or hillary clinton. with donald trump, you get to shake things up in a way we absolutely have if we are going to move this country forward. we're going to create jobs and rebuild our military and focus on national security defeating isis, securing our borders. look, the things that keep parents up at night like myself. i have three kids, i'm a working mom. i want to know if my kids will get a good education and be safe and are they going to be able to get out of school and find a job? those are things that donald trump is focused on and those are things that frankly most women care about when we're talking about that, i think he'll easily defeat hillary clinton in november. if we can stay focused on that over the next three weeks. >> it's been about personal things and big issues and small issues. right now with 16 days to go, what is the single -- i know it's the wall, the trade, our military, isis what single issue
6:27 am
do you think is motivating voters the most in key swing states? >> i think the biggest thing is kind of all incompassiencompass that's putting america first. it's making america stronger and focusing on american interest, whether it's in trade. whether it's in creating jobs. whether it's in national security. that's why he's done so well is he has been focused on not apologizing for america, but celebrating what makes us great. that is being number one in the world in everything and really striving for that sense of excellence. i think that's why he's done well. if we continue to focus on that, he'll do really well on those battleground states that we have to win in november. >> we're not going to cut you off this time. >> or ever again. >> sorry, sarah. >> thank you so much. >> good luck in the next few days. >> thank you. >> that was an excellent answer. america. a lot of people are looking for somebody proud of their country. she should be a surrogate for that campaign.

6:31 am
better than warfarin, i'll do that too. eliquis. eliquis reduced the risk of stroke better than warfarin. plus, it had significantly less major bleeding than warfarin. eliquis had both. that's what i wanted to know. don't stop taking eliquis unless your doctor tells you to, as stopping increases your risk of having a stroke. eliquis can cause serious and, in rare cases, fatal bleeding. don't take eliquis if you have an artificial heart valve or abnormal bleeding. while taking eliquis, you may bruise more easily. and it may take longer than usual for any bleeding to stop. seek immediate medical care for sudden signs of bleeding, like unusual bruising. eliquis make increase your bleeding risk if you take certain medicines. tell your doctor about all planned medical or dental procedures. i may not be going for the big one, but i'm still going for my best. and for eliquis. reduced risk of stroke, plus less major bleeding. ask your doctor if switching to eliquis is right for you.

if you have been watching from the top of the hour, you've saw amazing television. former governor martin o'malley went off the rails attacking trump as a fascist. joining us as a political panel amy holmes and democratic strategist michael tobin. great to see you all. >> good morning. >> i'll just start in order this way. so, catherine, obviously, a lot going on in america. a lot of things to be concerned asxwobout and at every turn tur it back to the personal. going after trump personally. >> i'm not sure i agree with that. hillary clinton has -- >> the election under way. we've been watching. >> i'm aware. but hillary clinton has a lot of papers on policy issues. i've spoken with her policy team at length about all her many ideas. i'm not sure i would agree that
6:33 am
she has turned -- >> i read her book and she has some ideas. okay. >> one of the few. >> i think i'm the only one. she sold nine copies. now, fascist that does seem like, first of all, but beyond that, does that elevate the tone at all? is she going high as michelle obama advised her to do? >> it's in everybody's without addressing the candidates. it would be a shame -- >> god bless you, michael tobman. whoever wins they dodged a bullet and learned nothing from it. if you're a hillary supporter, as i am, to win and not take a look at what got trump this far through the republican primaries and to this point is a real lost opportunity. friends and mine joke around to take a hard look at this and see what's going on in the country beyond the talking points. we should be able to talk about the republican race without talking about trump. >> amen.
6:34 am
let's save that tape. so, the concern for my point of view, hillary winning. if she does, she doesn't really have a policy mandate. catherine points out she has written a lot of papers. she mazzahasn't addressed any i in public. i'm a little bit confused. >> we're stronger together. but that's -- >> the most important -- the question was addressed to me. if you watched the debates, yes, there was a lot of personal. a little bit more policy with chris wallace. but it's hard to know what hillary's agenda is and, in fact, if you have looked at wikileaks she didn't know what her agenda was. she kept asking her own aides. what am i standing for? we have seen at least among her supporters that hillary clinton is supposed to be pragmatic and bring two sides together and that's what stronger together means. >> this is thun wing we know, catherine, hillary's first order
6:35 am
of business immigration, that's what she will have learned and that is her first push. so-called immigration reform and there is no support nationally among actual americans for much higher levels of immigration. and, yet -- >> no, but her policy proposals have to do with creating a legal task for people who are here undocumented and, actually, that's very popular amongst republicans and even americans. >> increasing the number of people from other countries entering our country, especially the low end of the labor pool. unscaled, lower educated. she supports that. >> i'm not aware of a specific policy proposal that you're referring to. i know creating a pathway to legal status. i know of her stances of not massively deporting the 11 million people who are undocumented. >> i have been paying more attention than you have. her campaign has said, essentially, that anyone who wants to come here has some kind of moral right. >> absolutely has not said that. >> the speech she gave where she said she's for open borders. now, again, chris wallace tried to sort of nail her down on
6:36 am
that. she was talking about energy, even though that was -- >> assume that the immigrant community is one monmonolithic thing. the legal immigration process because they've been here and they insist they've been playing by the rules and want to get their family members here, which is very different than our southern borders or eastern european. we know it's an issue because look what happened with brexit. take a look at the world and see what's going on. >> ask the americans what they want. i think that should play a role in all that. we're out of time, sadly. we know what happens when we go past a hard break. thank you for joining us. >> thank you, tucker. >> we appreciate it. i'm sorry, they're right over there. >> that political segment to now do it yourself halloween costumes. amazing and i love it. >> halloween just around the corner.
