12:00 pm
the 200-pound marble slab was inscribe inscribed. it's noon on the west coast, 3:00 p.m. in st. augustine, florida, where donald trump is speaking in the next few moments. an indication of how pivotal the sunshine state can be as it always is on election day. we're keeping an eye on vice president joe biden campaigning for hillary clinton in ohio. other speakers at the podium now. this comes as wikileaks hits the clinton camp with a major new e-mail release, from the salary gap at the clinton foundation which may surprise you to how one of clinton's own advisers criticized her wall street speeches. we'll break all of that down. plus, how democrats are apparently directing hundreds of thousands of dollars to a
12:01 pm
candidate whose husband oversees the hillary clinton e-mails. let's get to it. good monday afternoon from the fox news desk. here's what's happening. changes are afoot. hillary clinton's campaign is now trying to expand its map. they're working on down ballot races and traditionally republican states. donald trump is trying to convince voters that the race for the white house is not over. to that end, he's packing his campaign schedule with events in the critical swing state of florida where in-person early voting began today. and where the polls have shown him trailing hillary clinton, but not by much. a live look here from st. augustine, florida, about 40 miles south of jacksonville. donald trump is set to speak right there at any moment. they're just a couple of minutes behind it appears. this is his third campaign stop in florida to date, as he hits another rally tonight in tampa. recent polls in florida show donald trump losing to clinton
12:02 pm
by just a few points. but mostly within the margin of error. and most of those surveys were from before last week's presidential debate. the republican nominee told supporters today he thinks he's going to win, and win big in florida. he said polls showing him losing in maine are phony. honestly, the ones he questioned are some of the same polls he was touting and praising when they showed he was winning. early voting is also under way in north carolina. where a new poll from monmouth university shows the race there is neck-and-neck. hillary clinton leads by just 1 percentage point. trump's running mate, mike pence, today has been campaigning in north carolina. and hillary clinton and michelle obama are set to make their first campaign appearance together in that state on thursday. most national polls have shown that donald trump has been falling further behind secretary clinton. since we heard that 2005 recording of the candidate
12:03 pm
bragging and groping women whenever he wants because he's a celebrity. a new abc news poll shows hillary clinton leading donald trump among women by 20 points, 55-35. it also shows she is leading among men 44% to 41%. abc news reports this is the first time that its polling data has shown men favoring secretary clinton. we have team fox political coverage now. jennifer griffin is in new hampshire with the latest on the clinton campaign. carl cameron is in tampa. carl? >> reporter: he's lashed out to most of the institutions of american politics, the democratic party, republican party, the republican leadership, the democratic leadership. he's told the voters in florida if they don't make him a winner here in the sunshine state, he'll be angry at them. it's worth noting pollsters make their living on the quality of their accuracy, not inaccuracy. it would be counterintuitive for them to be out there cooking the numbers regardless.
12:04 pm
but that's what he's saying, that the polls are phony, the media is phony and it's all an exercise to cook the numbers. something his own senior advisers said he's trying to do by beating up on hillary clinton to depress democrats and suppress their vote and not to come out on shal election day. when you look at the average of the polls, which is at this point safer than looking at them independently and individually, here in florida, hillary clinton is up by four points. across the country, the average of national polls, particularly the ones that have methodologies that the national media tends to accept, hillary clinton is up six points. again, some of those polls could be a week and a half old. and they're constantly updated with the latest. as to there's how you get the average. which is basically how the polls end up tightening as much as they do. with the margin of error is three points, it is not plus or
12:05 pm
minus. it is plus and minus. so fu have two candidates within the margin, you can give one candidate three and take away three from the other. you can suddenly see the margin is actually six points when it's plus or minus. shep? >> makes sense. all about momentum really. and that takes a very strong ground game. it sounds like one side has it and one side doesn't. >> reporter: until the trump campaign made national news and won the nomination, the general consensus on both sides of the american political spectrum, democrats and republicans, is it takes about two years to organize a ground game and a year and a half to two years before that to finance it. donald trump didn't either. over the course of the last six or seven months, there's been significant rifts between the republican national committee and the trump campaign about why it wasn't getting done. voter registration is up in florida. but more for democrats than republicans. actual campaign staffing is up this year over past years. but hillary clinton has over
12:06 pm
5,000 staffers nationwide. donald trump has about 1,600. those type of metrics suggest in the last 15 days, donald trump is going to need a lot of good luck on very steep hills that are more than just the polls. >> carl cameron in tampa. carl, thanks. hillary clinton and senator elizabeth warren campaigning together in new hampshire today. but there it's really about much more than the presidency. the two campaigning hard for down ticket candidates. remember hillary clinton's right to span the map in new hampshire's case, a senator, congressional seat and governor's race. in manchester at a rally that wrapped up less than an hour ago, hillary clinton blasted trump from foreign policy to the mistreatment of women. they also went after kelly ayotte. senator ayotte is trailing the democratic governor there, both running for the senate seat by two points. a virtual tie.
12:07 pm
ayotte is facing criticism for sticking with trump through all of his controversies. and recently calling donald trump a good role model for children. though she later said she misspoke. here's what secretary clinton said about the senate race today. >> that's why we need leaders like maggie. and unlike her opponent, she has never been afraid to stand up to donald trump. she knows he shouldn't be a role model for our kids or anybody else. >> senator warren and secretary clinton have had their differences in the past as we all know. and senator warren waited until secretary clinton had clinched the nomination to endorse her. jennifer griffin live in manchester, new hampshire, where fall is upon us. clinton's campaign, what's the latest from them, jen? >> reporter: it's really quite amazing to be back in new hampshire again, shepard. but this is one of six key senate races, as you mentioned, in battleground states that
12:08 pm
democrats believe they need to take back the senate. four of those senate races involve women. so if democrats win in those six states, four more women could be going to the senate. that's where the candidate, hillary clinton, is putting all of her effort right now in these down ballot races as you mentioned, and getting women to vote. >> get this, donald, nasty women are tough. nasty women are smart. and nasty women vote. are on november 8th, we nasty women are going to march our nasty feet to pass our nasty votes to get you out of our lives forever. >> reporter: these senate races are nearly as important to hillary clinton as her own election. democrats are investing $17 million in new hampshire, versus $11 million by republicans. but even if democrats win the
12:09 pm
senate, it may all be short-lived. 25 democratic or democratic affiliated independents are up for reelection in 2018, compared to just 8 republicans, shepard. >> jennifer, we all know snar warren is a huge proponent of wall street reform. so when you campaign with her, that tends to come up, as it did today. >> reporter: well, it's a bit ironic, if you look at hillary clinton's background and where she has raised most of the money for her campaign. hillary clinton has said repeatedly of late, that she -- one of the first things she'll do when she becomes president is she will overturn the supreme court's decision on citizens united which allowed for all that money to flow into super pacs. here's what she said today. >> we're going to ask the wealthy to finally pay their fair share. we're going to close the loopholes. we're going to end the fact that
12:10 pm
millionaires can pay a lower tax rate than a nurse or a teacher or a police officer. we're going to make big banks pay for the risks they pose to our economy. >> reporter: she sounds a lot like elizabeth warren and bernie sanders. however, there is some hypocrisy. clinton's campaign was built on super pac money. the "washington post" found donations from 100 of the country's wealthiest individuals made up more than 1/5 to the clinton campaign. she was the beneficiary of billionaires' cash, . there are those wikileaks e-mails, embarrassing e-mails that show what her campaign really thought about the progressive side of their party calling them crazy leftists. she will be celebrating her birthday in new york. stevie wonder is singing, and
12:11 pm
those who want to attend can pay $10,000 to do so. >> jennifer griffin in manchester, thank you. more on the start of in-person early voting in the essential swing state of florida. why that part of the voting could give one party a big advantage. that's coming up on the fox news desk on this monday afternoon. great to have you. the lexus rx, rx hybrid and rx f sport. this is the rx...elevated. get up to $5,000 customer cash on select 2016 models. see your lexus dealer.
12:12 pm
12:13 pm
you are looking live, st.
12:14 pm
all teen, florida. earlier we had a hillary clinton address which we took in part live. now we're going to take in part of donald trump live, saying augustine is important, the oldest city in america dating back to 1565. donald trump trying to rally florida voters because in-person voting begins today in florida. and donald trump is packing his campaign schedule with events there. so let's listen in as donald trump rallies the votes and tries to get florida to swing into the red. >> i'm here all the time. and just in case you haven't heard, we're winning, not only florida, but we're going to win the whole thing. [ cheers and applause ] the new poll that just came out from investors business daily which was the most accurate poll from the last three presidential elections has us up two points nationwide. [ cheers and applause ]
12:15 pm
what we have is, we have a movement like they've never seen before. we have some very, very unhappy people out there. boy, i tell you, when they hear this, they are not happy. but we're going to take our nation back. remember it. we're going to bring it back. enough. it's enough. you heard where they have two more hostages in iran and they're asking for billions of dollars. it's enough. early voting in florida begins today, through the 5th. so make sure you get out and vote. locations include city hall and the supervisor of elections office. you've got to get out there. who's voted already? [ cheers and applause ] that's not bad. well, you can do it early. because if you're not feeling well on the 8th of november, we don't want to take a chance.
12:16 pm
but if you're not feeling well, get up and vote. who cares, right? [ cheers and applause ] 75% of the american people, based on all polls, think our country is headed on the wrong track. and we're going to fix it. [ cheers and applause ] common sense. our country is going to be put back on the right track, and very, very quickly. and you're going to be very proud of your country again. you're going to be happy. [ cheers and applause ] together we're going to fix our rigged system, and deliver real change that once again puts america first. [ cheers and applause ] change has to come from the
12:17 pm
outside, or we're never really going to understand it. and i will tell you, i've been on the inside, and the day i announced june 16th last year, i became a person on the outside. but we have to fix our country. we have to fix our country. the fact that the washington establishment has tried so hard to stop our campaign is only more proof that our campaign represents the kind of change that only arrives once in a lifetime. and it's true. [ cheers and applause ] again, there has never been a movement like this in the history of our country. and even those pundits that dislike me and dislike you and dislike everybody, they will admit, and they do admit, they have never seen anything like this before. and wait until you see the results start to come in.
12:18 pm
the results are already starting. we're way ahead in ohio. we're way ahead in iowa. we're doing great in north carolina. [ cheers and applause ] because people of this country are fed up with stupidity and weakness, and we can't beat isis. and all of the problems that we've got going, they're fed up. and you know what else? they're fed up with losing their jobs to other countries all the time. the best evidence that our system is rigged is the fact that hillary clinton, despite her many crimes, was even allowed to run for president in the first place. [ cheers and applause ]
12:19 pm
true. [ chanting lock her up ] hillary bleached and deleted 33,000 e-mails, lied to congress under oath, made 13 telephones disappear, some with a hammer, and then told the fbi she couldn't remember 39 different times. that the leadership of the fbi and the department of justice let clinton off the hook for her crimes against our nation is one
12:20 pm
of the saddest moments in the history of our country. and we have to investigate the investigation, folks. just today there are shocking new revelations, which you've seen. front page of "the wall street journal," about how the clinton campaign has corrupted our government. it was just learned that one of the closest people to hillary clinton with long-standing ties to her husband, and herself, gave more -- this just came out -- gave more than $675,000 to the campaign of the spouse, the wife of the top fbi official
12:21 pm
who helped oversee the investigation into mrs. clinton's illegal e-mail server. [ boos ] so the man that was investigating her from the fbi, his wife runs for office, and they give her more than $675,000 to run. and it just came out. they just figured it out. we've never had a thing like this in the history of this country.
12:22 pm
this represented a large portion of the money the fbi official spouse had for the entire campaign. a big percentage. it's absolutely disgraceful. it's absolutely terrible. and it's unbelievable how hillary clinton got away with the e-mail lie, the e-mail scam, the e-mail corruption, but now at least we have a pretty good idea. and general cartwright, a four-time -- think of this, a four-star general, highly respected, just at the end of last week struck a deal. he lied one time to the fbi, and he said he did that for national security reasons. highly respected man.
12:23 pm
four-star. we're talking about a four-star general. and he's going to go to jail perhaps for as much as five years. and that's a tiny fraction -- that's a tiny fraction of what hillary clinton did. so the fact that she is even allowed to run means our system is rigged. she never had a chance of being convicted. hillary knew this money was being paid, and she has to be held accountable for this. yet another crime, one of so many. and she has to be held accountable, because she knew that money, $675,000-plus was being paid. so how was she allowed to continue to run for president? how is she allowed?
12:24 pm
[ cheers and applause ] she gets a subpoena from the united states congress asking for her e-mails and other records. and she bleaches them and deletes them. bleaching nobody ever heard of. people sophisticated in that world, and the reason it's so expensive to do. so not only did they delete them, they bleached them. and now two weeks ago, they find out that two boxes of e-mails are missing. and you don't read about that in the new york times. and you don't read about that in the other newspapers. because the system is corrupt. the system is broken. [ cheers and applause ] the system is corrupt, folks. and i've been saying that it's
12:25 pm
rigged. i've been saying it for a long time. the system is rigged. wikileaks also shows how john podesta rigged the polls by oversampling democrats, a voter suppression technique. and that's happening to me all the time. when the polls are even, when they leave them alone and do them properly, i'm leading. but you see these polls where they're polling democrats. how's trump doing? oh, he's down. they're polling democrats. the system is corrupt and it's rigged and it's broken. and we're going to change it. [ cheers and applause ] thank you. in an e-mail, podesta says that he wants oversamples for our polling in order to maximize what we get out of our media
12:26 pm
polling. it's called voter suppression. because people will say, oh, gee, trump's down. folks, we're winning. we're winning. [ cheers and applause ] we're winning. these thieves and crooks, the media, not all of it, not all of it, but much of it. [ booing ] they're the most crooked -- they're almost as crooked as hillary. they may even be more crooked than hillary. because without the media she would be nothing. without the media, hillary clinton would be nothing. they're disgraceful. just remember that. just remember that. without the dishonesty and
12:27 pm
deceit of the media, hillary clinton would be nothing. nothing. here's how all of this affects you. when the people who control the political power in our society can rig investigations like her investigation was rigged, can rig polls. you see these phony polls. and rig the media. they can wield absolute power over your life, your economy, and your country. and benefit big-time by it. they control what you hear and what you don't hear. what is covered, how it's covered, even if it's covered at all. sometimes they'll have like these great events and it won't be covered. if it's a little glitch it's front page news all over the world. they can ship your jobs all over the world, let drugs pour -- look into the drugs that are
12:28 pm
pouring into this area, but all over. let drugs pour into your community and let congress write loopholes to benefit a select few. and then you always hear hillary, she's going to fight isis. well, she's been there for a long time. she and obama, through their incompetence -- and all this guy does is campaign. he ought to try and go back and get some jobs for our country. all he does is campaign. we have an incompetent president. we have a president that doesn't know what he's doing. and again, take a look at mosul. they announced four months ago, three months ago, we're going into mosul. we're going to get the leaders of isis because they're living in mosul. guess what. 12 minutes later, the leader of -- they left. they're not stupid, they left.
12:29 pm
whatever happened -- remember the great general who called the element of surprise. the element of surprise. so now we're bogged down in mosul. the enemy is much tougher than they thought. they've had a lot of time to get ready. they're using human shields all over the place. it's a horrible, horrible situation that's going id we ha we're going in? why didn't we go in and then tell the public a week later, congratulations, we just got the leadership, we didn't lose many people. i'm telling you, folks, our leadership -- i went to an ivy league school, but there's some words that you can't describe any better. our leadership is stupid. these are stupid people. [ cheers and applause ] so bad. these are stupid, stupid people.
12:30 pm
and they're leading us right down the tubes. the corrupt system can also force brave national guardsmen from california to return the bonuses they were promised. something that would never happen under a trump administration. how about that one. these people, we want your money back, that we gave you years ago. this can only happen with this incompetent people we have running. and people with no common sense. they're incompetent, but they have no common sense. they have no common sense. while the media and politicians celebrate in washington, d.c., our inner cities crumble, innocent children are shot in the street, and working families who just want a raise can't get a break. the media isn't just against me, they're against all of you. that's really what they're against. they're not against me, they're against what we represent.
12:31 pm
like hillary clinton, they look down on the hard working people of the country. that's what's happened. the media is entitled, condescending, and even contemptuous of the people who don't share their elitist views. and this is all for money. this is for money largely. money and power. i see you, and i hear you. i am your voice. [ cheers and applause ] remember, i was on the other side of this equation for a long time. it was very comfortable. it was a very good side. but then i decided that, you know, i'll tell you the bottom line. i love our country. and we were going bad. [ cheers and applause ] we were going bad.
12:32 pm
[ cheers and applause ] i will never let you be the forgotten people again. we're the forgotten people. i will never let you down, i promise. i will never, ever let you down. when we win, your voice will boom through the halls of washington, and will be heard all across the world. this is bigger than brexit, what's going on. this is bigger than brexit. [ cheers and applause ] and folks, get out and vote. leave here and vote. leave here and vote. or we have wasted a hell of a lot of time, energy, and in my case, a lot of money.
12:33 pm
i'm not a politician, and i never wanted to be a politician. believe me. i ran because this country has been good to me. i love america. i could not stand by and watch what was happening to our great country. i didn't want to do it. [ cheers and applause ] my only special interest is you, the american people. and we're going to solve the riddle of what's going on in washington. it's time to clean up our nation's capital. that's why i proposed a contract with the american voter. it's a set of promises for what i'll do in my first 100 days. it includes getting rid of immediately obamacare, which is a disaster. [ cheers and applause ]
12:34 pm
even bill clinton admitted obamacare is the craziest thing in the world. quote, craziest thing in the world. where people wind up with their premiums doubled. and their coverage cut in half. now, he may have had a tough evening when he went home. but that's right. and she wants to make it far worse. she wants to double down. she wants to make it bigger. it's going to destroy the american family, and it's destroying american business, especially small business. but you know what else? it's not working. it's no good. it's terrible health care. and, you know, your numbers are so crazy, you really can't use it. your deductibles are so high you'll never get to use it. it's just one more reason why we have to win on november 8th. [ cheers and applause ]
12:35 pm
it begins with the end of the rampant government corruption and put the special interests out of business. we're going to do it. i understand it. i understand it. i understand it very well. i want everyone in washington to hear and to heed the words that we all say together. if we win on november 8th, we are going to drain the swamp in washington, d.c. we're draining the swamp. [ cheers and applause ] >> under my concept, in my first day in office, my administration will immediately pursue the following six measures to make our government honest once
12:36 pm
again. first, a constitutional amendment to impose term limits on all members of congress. [ cheers and applause ] second, a hiring freeze on all non-essential federal employees. and that does not include the military. believe me. third, a requirement that for every new federal regulation, two existing regulations must be eliminated. regulations are putting us out of business. fourth, a five-year ban on white house and congressional efficiency, becoming lobbyists after they leave government service. they're making a fortune. they control government. [ cheers and applause ] fifth, a lifetime ban on white house officials lobbying on behalf of a foreign government. [ cheers and applause ] how simple. and sixth, a complete ban on
12:37 pm
foreign lobbyists raising money for american elections. [ cheers and applause ] on the same day i will begin taking the following seven actions to protect american workers. our jobs are being stolen. the single greatest jobs theft in the history of the world. that's what's happened to our country. because of our politicians. and in some cases, it's not just lack of intelligence, it's not just stupidity. in some cases, it's because they're getting so much money from donors and special interests -- they don't care about our country. first i will announce -- i love you, too. my intention to renegotiate nafta -- [ cheers and applause ] -- the worst economic trade deal ever signed in the history of the world also.
12:38 pm
we'll withdraw from the deal and start with something that will be much, much better. second, i will announce our withdrawal from the transpacific partnership, a disaster. [ cheers and applause ] a disaster. third, i will direct my secretary of the treasury to label china as currency manipulator. they are, they know it. i have a great relationship with china. i've made a lot of money with china. but you know what, they know. they told me. that's how they do it. the single greatest tool they have, currency manipulations. they're grand masters. i congratulate them. i'm not angry at china, i'm angry at our country for allowing them to do it. i'm not angry at china. fourth, i will direct the secretary of commerce, and u.s. trade representative, to use every tool under american and international law to end foreign
12:39 pm
trade abuses that hurt the american worker. of which there are many things. fifth, i will lift the restrictions on the production of shale, oil, natural gas and clean oil. [ cheers and applause ] we will also put our miners back to work, and we will develop clean coal. [ cheers and applause ] >> donald trump rallying the faithful in st. augustine, florida. there's a reason he's there. early voting began today in 50 of florida's 67 counties. all floridians will be able to vote in person by the end of the week. all registered voters. that big news because traditionally, democrats win the early voting there. leaving republicans to catch up on election day. so donald trump is doing all he can. and that's why hillary clinton today asked americans to go vote the minute they can. don't wait. i want to show you a state that will allow early voting. all of these in yellow, 37 states in all allow early voting
12:40 pm
from sea to shining sea, and almost all 37 of those, early voting has already begun as of today. in fact, about 6 million people across the country have already cast their ballots in one way or another. down in florida alone, more than 1 million people have already voted by mail. both of the campaigns making a final push in florida today. donald trump and tim kaine traveling across the state. bill keating is in downtown miami where people can vote right now. how is it going at the polls today, phil? >> reporter: it's going very well, actually, except for a couple of ballots that went out in broward county, which for some unexplained reasons the adviser did not have the medical marijuana initiative on the ballot. really, complaints and issues regarding early voting have really been hard to find. here at the downtown government center, you can see the line is basically one guy in line right
12:41 pm
now. zero wait time. that had been up to 20 minutes throughout the day. it's been a pretty steady stream of early voters here downtown. there were a couple of other locations, though, that have 30, 45-minute, up to o-twho waits in line. a lot bettethan it was four
