former new york city mayor rudy giuliani. he would not be attorney general he is in the running to be secretary of state. a new name for potential ag is former rival ted cruz. he visited with trump at trump towers but didn't say if the position was discussed. last night mike huckabee said he would be surprised if cruz was offered that position but added he is certainly qualified for it. >> he served in an attorney general's office as solicitor. he is a constitutional lawyer. he has many of the gifts. there are certain members of the republican senate that would be happy to confirm him because he wouldn't be in the senate. they wouldn't be that happy with him being there. >> the president elect weighed in on twitter. very organized process taking

place as i decide on cabinet and many other positions. i am the only one who knows who the finalists are. >> we know one person who is no longer interested in one of the cabinet roles. he was withdrawing himself from consideration writing in part on facebook, my decision not to seek the cabinet in the trump administration has nothing to do with the complex city of the job reported by some news outlets. it is vitally important to have many outspoken friends and advisors outside of the washington bubble. as the transition team moves forward some democrats are already criticizing mr. trump's selection of steve bannon as chief strategist including senator harry reid. >> talk is cheap and tweets are cheaper. first official act. appoint a man who is a champion of white supremacy. that's the number one strategy
