check out "settle for more" ap your local bookstore and we can share some stories. thanks for watching, everybody. i'm megyn kelly. see you tomorrow. tonight president obama refuses to tell the out of control anti-democratic protesters to just stop. >> i wouldn't advise them to be silent. >> laura ingraham is here tonight with reaction. >> what was your reaction when you saw the news that donald trump had been elected? >> well, first i cried. >> and whiney college liberals continue their hiscy fit over president-elect donald trump. when will this madness end. >> what kind of discipline problems were you having? zbli was just somebody who was rebellious. >> did you resent your dad when he sent you? >> no, not at all. i understood. >> did he sit you down and say here's why? >> he said i want to shape you
7:01 pm
up. >> tommy levin is here to preview his prime time special. all of that and ainsley ear hasn earhart joins us. president obama refuse to condemn the rad ka call protests against donald trump. earlier today obama was given a chance to speak out against all of the out of control behavior and instead this is what he said. >> i would not advise people who feel strongly or are concerned about some of the issues that have been raised during the course of the campaign, i wouldn't advise them to be silent. >> well, some are even being violent. pretty unbelievable but it does fall in line with everything that president obama stands for. i tried to warn the country and everyone back in 2008 that obama, well he was a disciple of the alt radical right.
quote
7:02 pm
he started his political career in their living room and they bombed the pentagon, the capitol and new york city police he headquarte headquarters. president obama, remember he sat in the pews of reverent wright, the cherj of gd america listening to tough like this. >> the stuff we have done overseas is brought right back into our own front yard. america, chickens are coming home to roost. no, no, no, not god bless america, god damn america. that's in the bible, killing innocent people. god damn america for citizens that are less than human. >> alt-radical left.
7:03 pm
since the president refuse to speak out against the anti-democratic agitators, let me remind him about what has been going on in the president's hometown of chicago. how a man was severely beaten by an angry mob after a traffic incident because they thought he was a trump supporter. look at this, mr. president. >> damn! [ bleep ]. [ bleep ]. don't vote trump. >> and mr. president did you see this mother in texas that's under investigation after kicking her 7-year-old son out of the house, why? because he voted for donald trump in a mock election at school. take a look. >> since you voted for donald trump, you get your [ bleep ] and get out. uh-uh. the suitcase is packed by the door. yeah. been packed since 10:00 this morning.
7:04 pm
bye. come over here! let's go! come on! take the sign. bye. let's go. >> now these are just two of many examples. now we've also seen continual protests all across the country that have resulted in the instruction of property, unlawful behavior and arrests. now president obama don't you think you should follow in the footsteps of your predecessor? remember president george w. bush, he stayed out of the political arena and he let you, his successor do your job. he never responded to president obama's relentless blaming and name calling. instead president bush, he actually did take the high road as you have often taken the low road, like the democrats claim that you always do. take a look. >> i could sit here all day and get you to comment on president obama and i'm not going to get anywhere. >> correct. >> i know you well. >> yes, you did. >> why did you make that decision? i'm sure you have a lot to say. we've talked politics.
7:05 pm
you were very engaged. >> i'm very aware of what's going on. i don't think it's good for the country to have a former president undermine a current president. i think it's bad for the presidency for that matter. >> the hair looks awful. why do i suspect that president obama will never show the amount of grace and respect when it comes to donald trump in his presidency. here's my prediction. president obama will not be able to contain himself and he will go after mr. trump every single chance he gets once obama is out of office. here's another thing. after donald trump's sweeping victory, president obama, he's been in compete and utter denial that the election had anything to do with him or his failed policies. the facts say otherwise. since 2009 under president obama, let's see, democrats have lost 13 u.s. senate seats, leaning from blue to red, 6 h u.s. house seats, blue to red, 13 governorships, blue to red and get this, 33 state houses. wow. what a regularcy. now our next president, donald
7:06 pm
trump has been handed a huge mess. this is almost beyond repair, thanks to president obama. that's why this election was so important. and now republicans, they have no excuses why they can't get things done. president-elect trump needs to know that the media is never going to like him, especially when wikileaks exposed that the press was colluding with the clintons, the cnn, and "the new york times," all and owl tf rest of pem. this the republican establishment is not going to be his friend either. he needs to stay focused and remember the promises to you the american people, repeal obama care, lower taxes, border wall, fix inner cities, drain the swamp, send education back to the states, you know, said radical islam, vet refugees, all of these important issues, free trade.
7:07 pm
he has to remember you, the american people, what i call the forgotten men and women in this country in this election. that list is where trump needs to keep his focus. if president obama wants to keep calling for protests and that will be his legacy, one of division. rich versus poor, old versus young, black versus white, always dividing. that's what you get under president obama. my advice to president-elect trump, stay focused. here with reaction, fox news contributor, laura ingraham. i talk about the alt-radical left. who are these people? occupy? >> yeah. >> right? occupy? >> occupy wall street. >> move.org, black lives matter, pigs in a blanket, fry them like bacon. weren't they embraced by hillary and obama. does that make them alt-left, the president and hillary clinton?
7:08 pm
>> it's used to demean and dismiss the view points of more traditionally-focused americans. and i throw in the mexican american legal defense organization, there are a whole bunch of amnesty groups that are loosely connected that have the same goal, which is to essentially eliminate any border enforcement in the united states and bring about kind of a borderless north america. that's their ultimate goal. they say things like immigration reform. but when you dig into the more radical statements of their founders, it's much more reliant on an america that ceases to exist as we know it, that allows people to come and go without any question about legality. >> you watch the media, they're like sharks and they're now circling. they have been exposed as colluding with the clinton campaign, 9d 7% in the mrc poll sid that did not impact their vote, although now most people
7:09 pm
recognize media bias and journalism is dead. they're ready to pounce that he went out with his family for a hamburger and didn't notify the press. i think it's only going to get worse. how will this impact trump's decision-making for the cabinet and people he hires because they're going to look for any little thing that somebody said or did in their past? >> if past is prologue, it won't have any effect on what the president-elect is going to do as far as decisions on the cabinet. he was hammered throughout most of the election cycle, most of the primaries and certainly in the general election. there wasn't a day that went by when there wasn't an attempt to take down the whole trump apparatus. but he didn't really change his approach all that much. he kept his focus for the most part with a few exceptions on the pledge to the american people that he was going to change the path that we were on, away from the old establishment
7:10 pm
order and to a much more populous pragmatic approach to both foreign policy and domestic policy where we finally get our economic house in order, at least start down that path, enforce the borders, get rid of obamacare, start to dismantle the massive federal government that keeps ballooning in washington. all of the attempts to cut waste, fraud and abuse over the decades hasn't really amounted to much. we need to government cut back, we need it trimmed back, we need a scalpel, we need a meat cleaver. it needs to be cut back. can i say something about the protesters just briefly? >> go ahead. >> when you go back to the rules of radicals, i know you've talked about it so well on this show. but there's the one rule that says the protests have been relentless and have to be so discorrudi disruptive and so constant that they change and disrupt the
7:11 pm
normal order of things, and you can never have any conversation between the protesters and the opponents. the opponents always have to be subscribed as evil, immoral and evil. that's what's playing out in this organized effort to disrupt the normal course of whether it's commerce or traffic or even schools to some effect. and it's straight out of sol linsky. this is a pattern, i think. >> when wu weyou went to dartmo did you have a cry room? >> i was causing trouble at dartmouth. they had other knives out for us at dartmouth. it's really gotten much worse from the mid '80s. theory dogs. >> what is a dry room? what is it? i don't know what it means to cry. could you come on national tv, obama wins in 2008, i fought my

heart out to inform the american people he would be horrible, i ended up being right, i woosh i wasn't. and i came on the air with the dog to comfort me and have a producer to bring me hot cocoa and a coloring book? >> remember, masculinity itself is considered a threat on college campus. masculinity, a guy's guy, that in and of itself is microaggression. you have to reign in all of the masculine pronounce, get rid of all of that. everything has to be gender norm so everyone feels the same. >> may i meez have permission to kiss you good night, you say to your date. >> isn't that romantic? >> would you like to come into my cry room and color with me? great date. >> no. >> thanks, laura. coming up, senator jeff sessions was in trump tower today for the transition
7:13 pm
meeting. the trump transition team is hard at work to feel the key cabinet and white house roles. later tonight -- >> okay. i know you feel guilty, you should because you did this. i don't care about white feels right now. >> i don't care about white wow. left wing college students are freaking out, lashing out after president-elect trump's victory. we've got so much tape and stories. ainsley earhardt with the number one book in the country coming up, straight ahead. t andd i take to the open road. healthy, free, the world before me, the long brown path before me leading wherever i choose. the east and the west are mine. the north and the south are mine.

good evening. president-elect donald trump has asked retired lieutenant general michael flynn to be his national security adviser. that's according to a transition official. however the source telling fox news general flynn has not yet officially accepted the position. he was a close adviser to mr. trump during the presidential campaign and worked with him on national security issues during the transition. the national security adviser does not require senate confirmati confirmation. and president-elect trump announcing he's received assurance from ford will not move production from a plant in kentucky to mexico. mr. trump tweeting moments ago he got the call from the chairman. he also tweeted i worked hard with mr. ford to keep the lincoln plat in kentucnt in ken. now back to "hannity." for all of your head lines, log on to foxnews.com. i've been in a number of

meeting with him while he talks to people who are under consideration and he'd like to meet and talk to and just see who they are. he just does a really good job. he's engaging right there talking to him. it's a good vibe, good feel. i think he gets a good feel for people and he has a good ability to size up people in an effective way. a big part of his success in business is having good people around him. >> all right. that was alabama senator jeff sessions at trump tower earlier today talk about president-elect donald trump's involvement in transition meetings. now trump has a lot of important cabinet and white house roles to fill. today he tweeted, quote, my transition team which is working long hoirs and doing a fantastic job will be seeing many great candidates today, florida governor rick scott was also at trump tower. joining us for reaction, herman cain, ari fleischer.
7:18 pm
nikki hailey was not a trump supporter. myth romney is reportedly being considered for secretary of state. i think myth romney would have been a great president but the way he acted here, no loyalty. he should not be under consideration in my view. your thoughts in. >> well we don't know if he's seriously under consideration or if this is trump's way of trying to bring the party together. remember, there was a lot -- >> that would be fine. water under the bridge, let's start over. that's a nice gesture. >> it could be an indication of that. but here's the other things -- >> bless rd the peacemakers, herman. i read it in a book. >> one of the strengths that i've talked about on your show that donald trump has, which most great leaders do, he's able to listen. you heard that statement by senator jeff sessions. donald trump is in the listening node right now. and that's a good thing. he's not just listening to
7:19 pm
people who supported him, he's listening to some people who reluctantly voted for him. i think it is a good sign. i think it's a good thing. and he is listening now. >> here's my criteria, how much controversy will they cause, the media is ready to pounce. i think that's one. how loyal are they going to be? stuff is going to happen and he's going to need people who can get through the hard times, that's important to me. will they follow trump's agenda, not their own agenda. you know how selfish they can be. are they more than qualified for the job and i think a full vetting like what they did with mike pence worked out well, do with that everybody, especially stop positions. is that a good criteria? >> it sure is. the most important thing is to do what the president wants you to do. you need to reflect the president. it's that person who ran and put hiss name on the ballot. it's not the staff and the cabinet secretariesecretaries. that dedication of doing it the
7:20 pm
way the president wants to do it. internally you can clash all you want. give him the benefit of your advice. but when the president decides something, you absolutely go out there and fight for it. that's the job of the staff and the cabinet. >> i'm hsure there were times yu had different views than the president but you were loyal. >> sure. >> can he appoint someone who was so disloyal during the campaign and trust hthem? i don't think so. >> i'm kind of warning if the secretary of state thing is for real. >> i don't believe it either. >> all of these names being thrown about, they're unsourced, half of the time it's just somebody put their name in there. yesterday defense analysts in the reagan administration, frank gaffney was up for something. and frank said today nobody in the transition is talking to him. so a lot of these things are just rumors that get put into print. >> as newt gingrich told me those that know aren't talking, those that don't know are out
7:21 pm
there spewing whatever comes to their mind. that's what the media does now. they're pouncing on him for going to dinner with his own family and not fully reporting on the fact that he's going to get a hamburger next door. that was a big controversy for the media. >> some of the liberal media, like the "the new york times," admitted they were bias and didn't report the facts. they haven't changed yet. they're going to nitpicking every move that donald trump makes. getting back to the people question again, donald trump has demonstrated to me, not just from knowing him, but the fact he's been successful in his selection of vice president mike pence, his instincts about people. going back to loyalty. he will be able to tell because of his instincts whether or not somebody can be loyal to him even though they may not have been in his cheering section when he ran for president. >> well said. all right. thank you both. coming up next on this busy

news night right here on "hannity." >> what was your reaction when you heard the news that donald trump had been elected. >> fishs i cried and i had a panic attack. >> crying? panic attacks? liberals on college campuses, they're absolutely losing it and so are the faculty over president-elect trump's victory. also, ainsley ear hasn't and larry elder will weigh in on the media bias against the trump family and harvey live venn will join us to talk about a donald trump special he's hosting right her on this hour tomorrow night. it's a really good show. you don't want to miss it. this one is from channel islands national park. coronado. saguaro. you'll see there's one that's an eagle.
7:23 pm
my number one goal is getting more funds out to parks because some animals and plants are only found in one place in the world, and that's in some national parks. i find that's a great cause, and i want to support it. welcome back to "hannity." president-elect trump won the election fair and square but some liberals enrolled in colleges all across the country are not taking it so well. now, in order to help these fragile souls cope with the thought of a donald trump pr presiden presidency, some school administrators are offering services for these kids, including disaster counseling, therapy dogs, faculty sanctioned cry-ins where the faculty passes out hot cocoa to the students. one university was handing out coloring books and play dough. many still participated in the mass walkouts and protested in order to voice their concern. campus reform.koorg attended on of the protests and spoke with the children. take a look. >> we're not attacking anyone. this is come together [ bleep ]

7:28 pm
where a professor gives you hot cocoa. >> i don't want to find out. i don't want to be there with those individuals. look, this is left-wing lunacy so it doesn't have to make sense. the reason why they're so upset is the fact they should be afraid because their vision for the future, their progressive vision for the future was rejected by americans last week and that is a positive thing for this country. and i do sincerely hope that the coddling society that has happened under president obama and has really increased under president obama in the past eight years, i hope it comes to an end. this is not the next workforce. these are not the future leaders of america that if they lose an election they have to go into a cry room with play dough and b puppies. life is tough and they need to recognize that. >> i keep saying this election was about the forgotten man and
