nations deal with 27 million passengers over the holiday period. 2.3 million of those expected to pass through lax here. that means it is not just a question of getting through the terminal and getting on to your plane, but a question of getting to the airport in the first place and traffic around the airport predicted to be very busy indeed, with officials telling us that 1 million vehicles are expected to come through the airport area over the next few days. obviously security is upper most in a lot of people's minds. we have seen heavily armed police officers patrolling the area around the terminal and inside of lax and the police and tsa, tell us that they are prepared for anything. listen here. >> our men and women on it is front lines every day and they are always looking for a little
