stocks more. >> when the fed does raise rates in december, the market could go down. that's when you want to get in. >> have a wonderful holiday weekend. keep it right here. my agenda will be based on a simple core principal. putting america first. whether it's producing steel or buildings cars or reducing disease, i want the next innovation to happen right here on our great homeland, america. creating wealth and jobs for american workers. i'm going to issue a notification of intent to withdraw from the transpacific partnership and cancel job killing restrictions on american energy including shale energy and clean coal.
8:31 am
>> the president-elect promising to take immediate action on things like energy, infrastructure and trade so more americans can get back to work. will his plan work? welcome to cashing in. our crew this week is lisa booth, and rachel. welcome. an ambitious jobs plan for trump's first 100 days in office. will it put americans back to work? >> absolutely. this is what americans wanted and i think he will deliver particularly as a business guy. you look at energy. president obama even with the obstruction of the key stone pipeline we're talking about tens of thousands of jobs supported and further looking at energy as well, you look at fracking which has added $190 billion and created 1.4 million jobs. the wall street journal has said it saved americans energy costs but president obama has pursued federal regulations against the fracking industry even though it has been in the

hands of the states. even if you look at those issues alone, all those are jobs created, money added that is positive things for the american people. >> rachel, your thoughts. these are some very conservative ideas that donald trump is putting forward. i guess it's a test of whether or not the conservative ideas are going to work and we'll find out soon. >> it looks like the market likes it and i think that it's a really good sign. i think america is ready to turn the page on socialism. they elected a businessman president and i couldn't agree more with her about energy and that being the item that i'm most excited about. it's not going to create more jobs, it's going to make our goods cheaper to make and make us more competitive internationally with our manufacturing and i'm up here in wisconsin and i can tell you there's a lot of people that could use a break on their heating bills up here. so i think that this is
8:33 am
incredibly smart of him to start with these things and i think it's going to make a huge difference. get everything jump started and then he'll get more buy in for some other things he wants to do which are more controversial. >> what you're speaking of maybe is donald trump's plan to spend $1 trillion on infrastructure which is not necessarily a small government thing to say, but personally i love this idea. i'm going to talk about it later in the show, but i love the infrastructure idea. he laid out a plan for the first 100 days. it has a lot of pro jobs, pro american, pro economy ideas from both sides of the aisles. >> definitely. $1 trillion investment, i know he wants to be the modern day fdr and if this works out i think that's fantastic and lot of democrats have talked about a potential to work together on this. the concern is whether it's actually going to be infrastructure spending or just tax breaks for developers and things like that. so we'll have to see how the actual bill looks, but there's definitely room for compromise
8:34 am
there. i think it's great he's laying out this pro growth agenda, i just want to see if it's going to work. i have concerns about the environment. donald trump admitted yesterday that maybe humans do contribute to climate change, not completely sure, but i think he knows so there's concerns there with fracking which is the reason that democrats have a problem with it. new president, i'm optimistic and hopeful and let's spend that trillion dollars and build roads and bridges. >> there's something for everyone. what was missing, we didn't see obamacare and the wall mentioned in the first 100 days. >> there's been a lot of criticism -- there's already been a lot of criticism to donald trump, but he is not in office yet and people are talking about things he's not going to do. let's give the guy a chance. let's give him a break and let him get into office and start implementing these policy proposals. he was talking about things he
8:35 am
can do. as far as these executive actions go. if you look at immigration and the wall if mexico does not pay for it he has to appropriate that money. he's talking about things he can do on his own. energy is a big one because we've seen president obama has served as an obstructionists and revenue for america, all positive things we need in this country and president obama has roped off so much federal land, you look at offshore drilling, he's roped off 87% of offshore acreage. it's time to get that out of the way and get the country moving again. >> rachel, donald trump was elected probably with some union support which is surprising for a republican president. you would need some of that to win a state like wisconsin and michigan and pennsylvania, some blue collar states.
8:36 am
whatever he's saying is resonating. >> it's resonating. i'm up here in north central wisconsin, there were a lot of reagan democrats that came back to the party. this is a real opportunity for the republican party to move away from its reputation of being a country club party and back into the working man pro growth party. i think again these are incredibly universally liked proposals and i think if he follows through with this, he's going to the not only have a great presidency, i think he's going to transform the party. my dad was one of those reagan democrats. it's like you're born and you're a democrat and reagan brought him over. it has a generational effect. i'm a republican because my dad was a republican. it's a way to change the whole trajectory for the party in terms of demographics. >> lisa, i'm hearing a lot of positive things coming and i --

i'm sorry, let me go to jessica. i hear a lot of positive things coming. liberals are still trying to figure out a way to push back, but it sounds so -- it sounds great to me. granted i'm a pro economy free market guy. i'm a free trader and i love the idea of breaking these trade agreements. i love it. >> listen, if he's going to renegotiate these bilateral trade agreements and he's going to get us a better deal everyone can be for that. that's something that bernie sanders and donald trump agreed upon and they brought hillary clinton over to that side. i don't want him ripping up nafta, but i don't think that's going to happen. i think there is a lot in here. donald trump was the least ideological candidate that republicans could have put up there. there are concerns that he has a security advisor that has talked about a muslim registry. >> you're varying, this is what's going on. i'm spending a lot of time

when are your buddies going to realize enough is enough? >> i hope soon. i think it's bad for the liberal brand. it's a huge mistake. it's disrespectful to the office and i was talking to a friend and said if there had been mocking of michelle obama the entire world would have erupted and chanted they were being racist. it's a huge problem. these weren't my top picks for president and first lady, but treat them with respect and stop it and move on. >> can you imagine if someone made fun of michelle obama in that fashion. the place would go crazy. is it just because he's a republican and they feel they can say whatever they want to the family as well? >> absolutely. it's only a bad thing if they criticize democrats. they can say whatever they want about republicans and conservatives and that's not offensive. the things we heard even with
