how russia threw the election toward donald trump. so let's come on up to capitol hill to talk about it. well, yesterday, all the intel community agencies said, you know what? we're busy. we can't come, which is really curious given the fact how much they have been leaking in some cases. >> think about this, they say they are not going to come and address the house intelligence committee, which i don't think has ever really happened before that i can remember. when you request it, you should come. number two, the excuse they gave. president obama asked for a review. we're focusing on that, really? so the house doesn't matter, the people's voice doesn't count? and they just want to know, the last time that james tapper, the director of the national intelligence spoke in november, he said he didn't know where these hacks came from. why all of a sudden did momentum change over the weekend and we have a total new view of what happened with the election? >> so you have folks that are in the intelligence community saying, russia was involved in this election. you have house members of the senate, if that's the case, the

cia, yeah, because the fbi and the dni are not on the same page. you have all these agencies that represent the intel community that are not on the same page. the house members say if russia did hack, we want to bring you guys in and hear your evidence. and they are saying, we are not going to provide people. does that lead to believe because they don't have the facts or the information? >> here's the thing, ainsley, if the cia found something earth shattering, they would have an obligation to come present it to the american people. but they are not showing up. josh earnest, however, who is so very partisan there at the white house, he said, clearly, donald trump was involved. he's blaming trump and the russians and everybody else. watch. >> the republican nominee himself calling on russia to hack his opponent. it might be an indication that he was obviously aware and concluded, based on whatever facts or sources he was -- he had available to him, that russia was involved.

the republican nominee chose a campaign chair that had extensive, lucrative, personal, financial ties to the kremlin. and it was obvious to those covering the race that the hack and leak strategy that had been operationalized was not being equally applied to the two parties. >> i don't remember this ever happening. when you had a press secretary for an outgoing administration going after the president-elect. and by the way, i asked him, he's been asked many times, donald -- he's referring to the fact that donald trump was asked at a press conference about the leaks or hacks when it comes to hillary clinton. he says, i don't know if russia is behind it, but i'll tell you what, if you are behind it, can we get the 30,000 e-mails you illegally deleted from your files and never handed over? it was a sarcastic remark to the president of theed united states and josh earnest took it as factual. >> i agree with you. josh earnest is saying, if donald trump is calling for an

investigation, that means he knows that russia was involved. no, donald trump, in my opinion is saying, if russia was involved, we want to know. let's get to the bottom of it. so let's have a briefing. >> when you look at what he said, he said, he might be, might know. there's a lot we don't know. and yet, josh earnest, as many democrats are trying to discredit donald trump. and what they're trying to do is they are trying to muddy the waters before the electorates vote on december 19th. peter king says, look, if somebody is leaking false information against the president-elect, there's got to be an investigation. watch. >> this violates all protocols and it is almost as if people in the intelligence community are carrying out a disinformation campaign against the president-elect of the united states. it's absolutely disgraceful. if they are not doing it, it must be somebody in the house or senate leaking false information. and there should be a full investigation of this. >> donald trump's been complimentary toward the current president after they never

really met each other and ripped each other in the worst way possible personally for the past five years. i think this is truly going to jeopardize relationships and cause friction between the administrations and bring us right back into the sewer. the president of the united states pushing that narrative, josh earnest pushing that narrative. >> people just can't accept the election results. >> i think donald trump will rise above the shabbiness. the democrats are grasping at straws. donald trump from his 26th floor, i hope, doesn't pay attention to it. but once again, it's all about trying to create a mess before the electors vote. and there are all the stories about how the electors are going to flip and stuff like that. >> do you have a fever? >> why? >> has donald trump ever ducked from a fight? if he feels he's been called out immorally and wrongly -- >> i think he realizes he's now part of that special presidential club. i think he will have his surrogates do the attacking. i don't think he'll do it himself. i could be wrong.

report. the 18-year-old woman described the made-up attack on facebook blaming president-elect trump for promoting what she called islamophobia. when questioned by cops, she said she made up the story to distract her angry father. and people 21 years or older are allowed to carry 1 ounce of pot with him and can grow six plants at home. but people cannot legally buy the plant. it will be another year before the state changes the retail licenses. and d.c. has a seat at the table, and now reports are circulating that ivanka trump is taking over the white house office, traditionally served or reserved for the first lady. no decisions have been made about ivanka's involvement, at least not yet. this comes after the future first lady, melania trump, announced that she and her son

>> you also told me something you did not know. when you run a power player like exxon, you visit the state department a lot and get to know the people. >> you are an american company and american citizen. don't you want your government to know what you're doing? don't you want that government's help and assistance when operating abroad? the answer is yes. i had a secret clearance when i was at shell, so i could deal with the issues i would have to deal with. and i'm sure other chief executives of other american companies have similar clearance to work with the u.s. government. the u.s. government is their enabler oftentimes. sometimes we'll intervene on their behalf. and this is not an unfamiliar relationship between the u.s. government and top executives of a u.s. company. >> that's why so many people took note when jim baker, former secretary of state, contindolee rice and others talked about

this. >> i am concerned about his relationship with vladimir putin. vladimir putin is a thug, a murderer, who only wants to restore the russian empire. >> i am concerned with his relationship with russia. we want to make sure the secretary of state is a person who represents america. >> marco rubio had similar sentiments. your thoughts? >> of course they have concerns. we have a vetting process to let rex come and explain what he's done over the years. you don't make friends in the oil and gas business, you make associates. you make relationships. those have to be functioning relationships in order to satisfy the needs of all parties. if exxonmobil doesn't do a good deal, exxonmobil is going to be very unhappy. if the russians or the equitorial gonads or anyone else don't get a good deal, they won't be happy either. >> let me bring up something

from his past and you can shed light on it. you mentioned the small ecuadorian town that had a deal cut. there were many upset over that deal getting cut. >> i don't believe this is responsible for the actions of the first family. >> he tried to nationalize exxon, he took them to court one but they lost a lot of money. he says he learned from that. >> right. you had your assets being taken away, all the money that you have spent, it's being taken away by state control. yes, you're going to fight something like that. exxonmobil was not the only company that fought chavez in evevenezuela on the issues. >> on the day of the election, you bet on trump. you voted for clinton in '08 and wanted her to get the nomination

probation for pretending to be a police officer with a fight with a neighbor. he said the affluenza teen was 16 and slapped on the wrist for killing four people in a drunk driving crash back in 2013. and a lavish steak dinner, guess who is enjoying that? well, some folks at the irs and you are paying for it. there's a brand new report out of the senate revealing that 27 irs workers racked up more than $1.4 million in travel expenses in one year alone. some were given more than $7,000 to spend in one month. the irs has not responded to that report. we'll watch that one. and teachers in one school district will now be arm in the classroom. a school board outside of colorado springs, colorado, say that it's time to step up and keep kids safe. but that move is leaving parents divided. >> it's a matter of being proactive. this is not about we think our

with what mr. trump called the world class player. somebody who has already done these deals, negotiated, somebody familiar with russia, china, yemen, the middle east, the developing world. has been active in 50 countries. >> he's so cozy with vladimir putin. aren't you watching the other channels? >> he's not cozy but he certainly understands how to get deals done and he understands russia and he has said no to vladimir putin. >> when did he say no? >> i've read in comments he's made. they are private negotiations tweent exxon mobil and heads of state. it's unfortunate, you look back, eight years ago, when president-elect obama when he was forming his cabinet, the first 7 nominees went through pretty much. and hillary clinton was on a

voice vote. i think the american people are reacting in a certain way. the president-elect has his highest favorability rating on record and climbing. i also saw on a fox news poll 59%, six in ten say that russian hacking didn't help him win the election. >> the cia thinks there could be a possibility of hacking with russia. and the house intelligence community said he lets have a briefing. they said hold on, we don't have anyone to go in front of the house to talk about it. does that mean there's not enough evidence? >> it could be. it's indicate if of some of the disagreements we saw in the press between the intelligence officials. people should recognize that there's unsourced, unnamed quotes flying around from folks who are leaking from previous intelligence committee briefings or other entities, and what i don't like is they just draw

this direct nexus the possibility of hacking and the election results. that's not right. let's roll the tape of everyone, all those geniuses on tv, all the people on team clinton, let's roll the tape leading up to the election day. how many people were talking about this as interfering in the election? they were talking about what they were going to do in the west wing. the path was closed. we can never win. not that j.d. gave a shout out to james comey or vladimir putin. >> i never remember the press secretary playing politics from the white house when his candidate is not even running. here's he's saying donald trump actually called on russia to hack. listen. >> the republican nominee himself calling on russia to hack his opponent. it might be an indication that he was obviously aware and concluded based on whatever facts or sources he was -- he had available to him that russia

was involved. the republican nominee chose a campaign chair that had extensive, lucrative, personal financial ties to the kremlin, and it was obvious to those who were covering the race that the hack and leak strategy that had been operationalized was not being equally applied to the two parties. >> that is just remarkable. that is breath taking. i guess he's odd igsing to be a political pundit. that is disappointing to hear from the podium of the white house secretary. he essentially stated that the president-elect had knowledge of this. maybe even fanned the flames. it's incredibly irresponsible and i wonder if his boss, president obama agrees. >> he does. he said it on "the daily show" a couple of days prior that donald trump called for the hacking of hillary clinton emails. do you remember what he claimed

that sarcastic comment, hey russia, let's find those 30,000 emails? the president said. >> that's unfortunate it too. he also said this is a fair and free election. he congratulated the president-elect and conceded the election results as did secretary clinton. we should be talking about what we know. not what we don't know. what we know is hillary clinton selfishly set up a private server that put us all at risk. when you are talking about hacking into emails, why have we left behind the piece of evidence that's right in front of us? what are people going to say? oh, we already investigated that. we already know everything about that. do we? she got this party started, but i think coming from the podium and basically trying to relitigate a political campaign when the president-elect and president and senior staff are trying to work very closely to have a peaceful transition of power with a month ago, i find

of democracy. substantively on the issues, ideologically what donald trump said in the campaign is he will be the president. he had specifics in the campaign. >> nothing has changed. >> he had an on the record interview of "new york times." he's going to look at everything and consult with experts. he's not willing to make policy right now when he's the president-elect. everybody knows donald trump. you know where you stand on the issues with donald trump. they can look at the 100-day vision and rest assured because he has a republican house and senate and republican state legislature and republican governors. he's a guy who is going to accomplish great things quickly. >> you've known donald trump for a while, since he was elected president of the united states, we've been watching. it seems like he's changed a little bit. he seems much more presidential. up close, have you noticed a change? >> i've always found him to be presidential and a true leader. he's incredibly engaging. brilliant, obviously.

well, the stock markets post election momentum interrupted by a rare move by the fed, interest rates increased by a quarter point for the second time in ten years. >> what does that mean for all of us? here to break it down is stuart varney. what does it mean? >> can i get one thing straight right from the get go.

janet yellen has been consistently wrong about the u.s. economy for years and years and years and she's now wrong again. she forecast strong economic growth throughout the obama years. never happened. we never got better than 2%. now at her meeting yesterday, you see her right there, she forecast weak growth in the future. 2% next year. 1% the year after. even though donald trump has a program has going to be in place which in all likelihood will give us 3, 4% growth. wrong again. >> so the market reacted yesterday. how would you character rise it? >> i would characterize that as a knee jerk reaction and a reaction against her view of the future and i think there's going to be a little bounceback today and a lot of bounceback in the very near future. i try not to forecast the stock market but i think we're going toward 20,000 on the dow very rapidly, if not today, then fairly soon. >> of course, critics say, look what she did is she poured water

priebus was there. we had a real productive meeting. it was something. very engaging. i think very, very encouraging. >> they were talking to you and according to the press you were being considered for secretary of energy. a job that has now gone to former governor of texas, rick perry. >> uh-huh. >> first of all, is rick perry a good choice for that? some on the political left have said, you know, given the fact that he's a big fossil fuel guy, he's not a good guy for that, but he's done a lot with renewable energy, senator? >> yeah. and i know rick and i like rick. we've been friends for quite some time. we were governors together and governors really form bonds, okay, and that's what's really great. we form relationships. rick has the experience to run an organization and agency and that's really what it takes. he's been the longest-serving governor of texas. he understands it coming from an energy state. we might agree to disagree on a few things, but basically you got to look for a pathway

forward. so i think he has all the ability to do that job. he will go through the vetting proc confirmation, which is thorough and in depth, and he will be able to explain his position. i believe that 7 billion on planet earth have had an impact to a certain extent, so i'm not a denier, but i would also ask people on the other end of the spectrum, i hope you are not a denier either because i'll tell you there will be more fossil fuel, be coal and natural gas and oil used in the world than probably ever before. so we have to find a pathway forward and a balance, and some people just deny on both ends. so we'll see how that goes, but rick has all the ability. he has the quality and capability of doing the job. absolutely. >> senator, what about all the democrats in congress and senate? what are they saying? what are they saying about you meeting with donald trump? >> well, you know, everybody had

their concerns, i would say. the bottom line is i -- i'm a proud american like most of us in this great country, and whether you voted for donald trump or not, he has been elected through the process that we have, that we cherish. he's our president-elect. he will be our president. i want him to be successful. my job as a senator is to do everything i can to help him. if i do disagree, respectfully disagree, i'm not calling people names. i'm not basically trashing their ideas. i might think there's a better path forward. i'll do that in a productive manner. my job is going to be in the senate democrat caucus is working with all of my republican friends and leaders, trying to find a pathway forward so we can have at least eight or ten democrats support reasonable policies. that's what we should be doing. >> senator, are you going to stay a democrat? >> i've said this, absolutely.

here's the thing. that's my identity as a democrat. my brand is being very, very independent. i look at something. if i can come home and explain it to my friends and my colleagues and all of my people in west virginia, then i'm fine. i don't care whether it's a democrat or a republican idea. so the bottom line is i'm just working and trying to make this place work. my identity being a democrat or your identity being republican should not interfere with us being an american, and i don't know why people get all bent up on that. i think i can do an awful lot of good and i can be a lot of help. i believe working right where i am. i'm comfortable. i'm a west virginia democrat. i don't agree with a lot of my washington democrat policies, but again i have a lot of republican west virginians that don't agree with a lot of national republicans either. you know what, that's what makes this great, makes this country great. >> yes, indeed. joe manchin, senator from the great state of west virginia. in a very christmassy-looking

happen when you take a midwestern pilot and with no mountain experience. mistakes got made and we were out there and didn't have any idea what would happen. we were in a remote area. >> nathan, you had a broken back. it's time for jim to get help. >> that's correct. >> what did you do? >> well, after everything settled down, i was able to -- i had to get him out of the airplane and secure the airplane so that there was no risk of a fire, and then dragged him as far away from the airplane as i could, but he was in so much pain that i didn't want to drag him too far then i covered him up with a tarp that was in the cargo compartment, and i started walking, just started hiking downhill. >> and then to do that, you finally found a small town. is it true it took you sech hours and you got to that town,

what did you do? >> yeah. it was a seven-hour hike in the dark. the sun was setting just as we hit the ground, and so it was in the dark with a full moon luckily, and just kind of followed the bottom of the canyon certain pen -- certain p pen. waited for the crews to show up. >> you don't even know if your buddy is still alive, that's where you guys come in. linda, when were you aware what you had on your hands here? >> we were called out early that morning. we were the on duty shift. we had to launch at first day break because of the area that they had gone into, it would have been a bit treacherous to fly. john and i launched and went to the general area we knew and based on some of the information that jim had given us, john was able to get us pretty close to the area and then we began our search. >> amazing, because the sun setting, never been there

before. you had to remember where you were to help your friend who is freezing and in a lot of pain. so, john, you get in the chopper and you head for help. what can you find? how long did it take you to find nathan and what did you find when you got there? >> well, you know, initially, we go into that area, it's a popular hiking area, up there, i'm sorry. it's a popular hiking area. so i knew the area fairly well, but it's a huge area to start searching in, but fortunately jim came up with this -- with the word stonehouse. there is an old stonehouse down at the bottom of the canyon, and we responded to the stonehouse and started going up the canyon, and saw the airplane. linda got me to a spot where she could let me off so i could walk up there and i was -- i was hoping for the best, but expecting the worst.

and i hollered out for nathan and he answered, which was awesome. got up to him. >> and then? >> i got up to him and we started talking and, yeah, he was in a great deal of pain. it was uncomfortable for me to see how much pain he was in, i really couldn't do anything for him other than basic first aid and to keep him immobile so he didn't do any more damage to his back. >> and ron, what about you? when you got to him, what did you see? >> my helicopter was not in service that day. i work for the state police, the highway patrol, and all of a sudden i arrived at work and the -- linda was landing her helicopter out in front of my office, and then i was very quickly told to change into an aviation uniform and get some

equipment and we were going to rescue a pilot that had crashed into the mountains, i had never met linda or john or flown in that particular aircraft until that morning. >> so when you finally got involved, you realized your pilot had survived, didn't sleep at all through serve hours of the cold with a broken back. what did you think? after this moment in your life, how did your life change? >> my life changed an awful lot for the worst very quickly and came back up and became something that i never would have imagined it would be because i didn't have any idea how supportive everyone around me was going to be. i had a long night out there. it was longer than seven hours and i was just in really total despair the entire time. i was pretty certain my career was over. i was certain i would be fired. i was certain i would be ostracized by my friends. i was in despair.

can john do much because when you are the homeowners association, you kind of hold all the cards, don't you? >> they are very, very powerful boards. they have architectural committees. if, in fact, they are abusing their powers, they have very broad discretionary powers, if they are abusing them, you got to get a lawyer. you can say i submitted these plans. they keep rejecting them. i believe they are not treating me fairly. retaliation at times. you got to look at the bylaws, the ccnrs. you have to get sit down with a lawyer. this is not right. you got to get aggressive with them. they can be a pain in you know where. no question. >> the problem is taking them on. they are your neighbors. >> that's your problem. they are people walking on the streets. go to parties and stuff.

>> in south carolina, all these girls come all over the world to see you guys. hundreds of people audition for this and how many get selected and what is the process like? >> the process is a two-day process. 100% dance call. to be a rockette you have to be 5' 6" to 5' 10 1/2". so there is a high requirement. we have routines to go through. there's 80 women total. >> i understand the footwear is developed by the cia because they have -- there are microphones in the shoes? >> we have live tap mikes in our at that point shoes for our 12 pieces of christmas number and our rag doll number. >> can we see a little bit of action? >> come on in. >> a dream come true. >> i pulled a hamstring in the my pillow segment. >> we're going to start with the left bevel.
