that they can't report accurately any of this. and it so they keep taking the word of various people, the economy is very weak, the jobs created are frankly undervalued jobs and in many cases are part-time. the fact is that people who want to get into the middle class have a harder time now. obama has pushed -- he's pushed 25 million people out of the middle class and his eight years. that's an extraordinary negative achievement. >> sean: let me ask you this last question. everything that donald trump is run on, mike pence said in the republican conference, that iti is time to be the party that now keeps their promises. i don't care if it is vetting refugees, building a wall, lowering the corporate tax, repealing and replacing obamacare, all of these are really big ideas and you've got resistance now and fear

>> of course he can't stop it because i think they're going to find out pretty rapidly that the republicans are not going to tolerate the democrats exploiting in a disciplined way the right to filibuster. he could complete the disaster that harry reid started if he really does play that kind of hard-nosed game. mitch mcconnell is a very smart tactician and mcconnell has a real obligation to get the cabinet approved and the supreme court nominee approved. my thought is he will win. look, if you're one of the ten senators from states that donald trump -- do you really want to go home having blocked everything? >> sean: i don't think it will be good for joe mansion if they do that. they are both up in two years. they were there, more with newt gingrich right after the: break. and also coming up tonight. >> this is something a

>> good evening, i am jackie brown is in new york. the intelligence report requested by president obama following foreign interference in the u.s. election has been completed. sources telling fox news, the president could be briefed on the findings as early as tomorrow. an unclassified version could be released to the public next week. the report comes after u.s. intelligence leaders concluded russia interfered in the presidential election. that is a claim disputed by president-elect donald trump. and an investigation is underway following a commuter train accident in new york city. more than 100 people suffered minor injuries when the long island, bahamas, railroad train hit a bump in block at a brooklyn station. investigators say it isn't clear if the rates malfunctioned or if it was caused by human error. i am jackie ibanez, now back to "hannity" for all of your headlines log onto fox news.com fox news.com. >> we published emails that shows podesta responding to a phishing email.
10:20 pm
now, how did they respond? podesta gave out his password, which was the word password. his own staff said this email that you received? this is totally legitimate. this is something a 14-year-old kid could have hacked. >> sean: sad we don't have cyber security. that was julian assange, talk about the lack of security that was with the clinton campaign. following my one on one exclusive interview with the wikileaks founder. president-elect trump tweeted out... he also said russians did not give him the information. we continue with former speaker of the house, newt gingrich, you told me you watched the interview. i wish i the time to air more, we have at least 40 minutes
10:21 pm
more. we will air some of that tonight. what were your general thoughts? because when we asked thee audience what they thought,se whether they believed assange or obama and hillary, the overwhelming majority believed assange. what are your thoughts? >> let me say first of all, i think what you did is so fascinating and assange is such a down to earth straightforward interviewee. we don't have cybersecurity for much of what we are doing. we are way behind the curve in what we have to learn how to do if we are going to function as a society. in that sense, very revealing interview. second, the idea that a 14-year-old could have done it but it was the russians? it tells you how desperate obam. and the democrats are to find some excuse to discredit donald j. trump because i can't stand the idea that he won back
10:22 pm
because hillary was so bad, because the obama record was so bad, because thehe american peoe were tired of radical policies. in some ways, they've trumped this whole thing up. in order to try to discredit the president-elect. >> sean: and that is the amazing thing here. whether you like it julian assange or not, he's really committed his life to this work. unequivocally, he's never spoken to putin, his surrogates, trump, or his surrogates. what if the information was about donald trump, would you have released it? his answer was absolutely,wo positively yes. if you look at what we learned about the collusion with the news media and the clinton campaign, i've got to believe that this is more trustworthy information than anything we're getting from "the new york times" or "politico" or nbc or cbs or abc.
10:23 pm
is that a stretch to say? >> no, i think one of the great sad things about the last eight years is the degree to which the obama administration has corrupted the intelligence community and has led to people just not believing. the director of national intelligence, not believing the head of the cia. similarly, when the elite mediat decides they were in the tank for hillary clinton and they were going to go all out on a one-sided effort, they actually broke the country's faith that they had anything to do with the news. it became propaganda instruments, not news instruments. people are more likely to believe watching an interview for 40 minutes than they are to believe the so-called wise men of "the new york times." that's a real drop in institutional confidence in this country. in the long run, it's dangerous for the country if the people can't trust their government, their news media, it's one of those things that president trump is going to have
10:24 pm
to correct. this is part of why i think he tweeting is important. you are getting an authentic trump, whether he is right or wrong sometimes, occasionally things he shouldn't say, the active being that that direct, that open, having people see who he authentically is helped revealed faith in the system. >> sean: i think the lack of faith between media h and the clinton campaign was so over-the-top and egregious, i don't think it will ever be rebuilt. he is patting himself on the back. mr. speaker, good to see you, happy new year. it is going to be a fascinating 200 days. thank you sir. coming up, we will play more of my exclusive interview with julian assange, but first, tonight. >> you use your congressional powers toit obstruct. >> obstruct. >> obstruct. >> obstruct. >> defeat. >> anything. >> anything. c >> anything. >> that violates our core values as diverse americans. >> sean: hollywood elites, snowflakes liberals, are all losing their minds.
10:25 pm
that's coming up next. also, violence in chicago and around the country is escalating as president trump suggests maybe it's time for the federal government to step in and help. we will get a report from fox & friends cohost. ainsley earhardt. that is all straightahead. use dulcolax tablets for gentle overnight relief suppositories for relief in minutes and stool softeners for comfortable relief of hard stools. dulcolax, designed for dependable relief

>> sean: welcome back to "hannity," the whining liberal left complained that republicans haven't worked with president obamaa on key issues but now let's see. we've got a group ofd liberals including so-called hollywood liberal elites demanding that lawmakers "obstruct and oppose president trump." what a bunch of hypocrites. watch. >> here is what we demand. >> the extent that he is antiworker anti-muslim. anti-somatic. >> we demand that you vigorously

10:31 pm
>> we need you on the outside. if the operative presents itself i will be there. here's the good news, we got great people on the outside, we got great people on the inside, and we are super committed to executing the donald j. trump, the president donald date? jay trump. >> sean: i hope they find backbone and spine over the years. you have a republican establishment that did not support him. let's be blunt here. paul ryan did not do what he should have done for the nominee of the party. they've got the democratic establishment, the media's establishment that wants to go to war with him. we are talking about these little snowflakes and these hollywood liberals, it's going to be i believe, a day by day chipping away at donald trump's credibility. to hurt him and destroy his agenda. >> i agree with some of that but he's going to be constantly -- i love the hollywood liberals. can i tell you i love them?
10:32 pm
i love the whole global warming and they fly in on their own planes. they never go anywhere but what i love about it is the liberal elites and the democratic party loves them. they love very little else. they don't love the blue collar workers anymore. they don't love the people that brought them the presidencies of years ago. they love the hollywood liberal elites. >> it's interesting you say that. >> we leave the country so we can continue to focus there so we can control the house, theo senate, the legislation. >> sean: corey, you don't remember this but i reached out to't you very early. i'm getting out the statistics on radio and tv every day. 13 million more on food stamps, the reason was because this election to me was about the forgotten men and women that were out of work, and poverty, on food stamps. the lowest home ownership rate inoo 51 years. the american dream is ripped out of their guts.e
10:33 pm
that is what this election i think became about. >> sean, don't forget, what you have done on talk radio has been so important to the rise of the donald trump's of the world. those talk radio stations across the country are giving every day people the other side of the aisle. because the democrats have controlled the mainstream media. so if you're not in your car or you not working, that's what has given the rise. and now, that is exactly right. in fairness, the criticism would always come in. well, you are interviewing this candidate, that candidate. but i would ask them what is your plan for healther care? what kind of person you want a supreme court? how are you going to handleyo immigration? of all the candidates, trump was the most specific. and he didn't get credit for. >> the mainstream media always wanted to -- never take them seriously. on the day he announced he was running for president, the media didn't know what the announcement was about.
10:34 pm
they showed up in anticipation of him not knowing what you're going to say. that's a summary of this campaign. they never knew what to do with him.m. >> sean: good to see you both. thank you. by the way, i am working at the inauguration so i will be begging for tickets. it's a friday night. i'm not wearing one of those goofy b suits. >> happy birthday, sean. >> sean: coming up, violence in chicago, spiraling out of control. get this, and chicago alone, 762 people killed in the last year in the windy city, over 4,000 shot. the president-elect donald trump said if mayor rahm emanuel can't get it together, he may ask for help. david clark weighs in and much more later tonight. >> what is yourda advice to the incoming president-elect?
10:35 pm
>> i think it is to learn from that. to learn about the mistakes that were committed. especially in this area of transparency. >> sean: we will have more of my exclusive interview with julian assange straight ahead, tonight on "hannity." who recommended once-daily toujeo®. now i'm on the path to better blood sugar control. toujeo® is a long-acting insulin from the makers of lantus®. it releases slowly, providing consistent insulin levels for a full 24 hours, proven full 24-hour blood sugar control, and significant a1c reduction. and along with toujeo®, i'm eating better and moving more. toujeo® is a long-acting, man-made insulin used to control high blood sugar in adults with diabetes. it contains 3 times as much insulin in 1 milliliter as standard insulin. don't use toujeo® to treat diabetic ketoacidosis, during episodes of low blood sugar,

experiencing significant violence is the president's hometown of chicago.hi during this past holiday weekend alone, according to the "chicago tribune," 55 people were shot during the holiday weekend. according to the chicago policee department, a devastating 762 homicides last year in 2016. that is two murders a day. it is an unbelievable statistic. 77% increased over 2015. in fact, over the past eight years, thehe windy city has recorded 3,919 homicides. donald trump reacted to the heartbreaking numbers by tweeting this. as the president-elect prepares to take office, violent crime
10:41 pm
especially in inner cities will be a serious challenge, the incoming administration will have to address on day one. >> sean: those are chilling, chilling numbers. joining us now is milwaukee county sheriff david clark. former police chief of chicago, one of the top officers there actually said that 80% of the people being killed and shot our black americans. we've heard a lot about "black lives matter," but the democratic a party, the preside, democratic mayor, democratic president and his own hometown. how do you allow 4,000 murders and 10,000 people shot in eight years and not do anything about it? >> you just look the other way. gary mccarthy, the former superintendent should never have signed consent to agree, we are not hearing anything from the government. attorney general and state attorney general need to get involved.
10:42 pm
of course, the resources, has been absent. barack obama has been missing in action. only in the american ghetto, sean, could this go on with the no sense of emergency. if that many people died in a hurricane in the southeast, there's no way that everybody would stand by twiddlingpl their thumbs. there's no sense of urgency. but here's the bottom line. here is what is wrong in chicago. it's not the chicago police department, it's the fact that mayor emmanuel has allowed "black lives matter" and the aclu to run the chicago police department. they are setting policy rprocedure. >> sean: should they not follow the new york experience? when mayor giuliani started stop and frisk, they got the number downay to about 300 or 400.
10:43 pm
a majority of those lives saved were black lives. so now implement something like that? would the federal government be able to come in and do that? >> the thing is, the promising thing about this is if there is any, they don't have to reinvent the wheel here. they don't have to come up with something that's never been tried before. the order maintenance type policing, but you can't do that when "black lives matter" and the aclu has done standards that don't let police officers on the street do it. the chicago police department, sean, it's unbelievable what officers have to do after every stop. traffic stop or a field interview stop. there's some form that they have to fill out after each and every stop. it discourages police officers. >> sean: ainsley, let's go back to you.
10:44 pm
and the time that obama has been present, nearly 4,000 people in chicago killed. >> yeah, it is unbelievable. more people died in chicago in 2016 than in l.a. and new york combined. chicago is the city now that is so dangerous. they have some of the strictest gun laws. they don't allow assault weapons. these activists say we need strict gun laws. there is no correlation there. strict gun laws does not mean that murders are down. look at chicago. strict gun laws but murders are up. >> sean: i love that trumpnn said if you can't do the job, then we will do it. maybe that is the message because all lives do matter. great reporting. thank you, congratulations, your book is again number one. number one best-selling book in the country. i wrote the forward. >> really, you have a book coming out? >> march release date. race crime and politics for a

10:50 pm

because the dnc was rigged. the dnc would no longer represent its genuine interests of the democratic party. that's the problem. my message to the u.s. democratic party is now is a moment for reformation and for a new democratic party. take the information we have published, which shows you who are the different players are, how they worked. learn from it, and reform. because every government has to have a strong opposition to keep it efficient, countable, honest, et cetera. >> sean: let me ask about your message to barack obama through this president. he now joins the ranks of blaming wikileaks and russia and hacking for having an influence in the election. meanwhile in ignoring the documents from china, his own attempted for the israeli

arbitrator of the different factions. >> sean: what it would your advice be for the incoming president, donald trump? >> to learn from that. to learn from the mistakes that were committed by hillary clinton, barack obama, especially in this area of transparency. if you can get the information out as soon as possible, then you can correct as soon as possible. but i think the donald trump early on in this administration, he needs to go to someone in that cabinet, okay, you are a friend. maybe an ally, but you did the wrong thing here. so you are fired. and that standard needs to be set early. no one is immune to betraying. >> sean: he can be honest,

transparent, forthright. >> i think that's a good thing. think it's a good thing that he can go straight to the public and not have to massage the interests of media proprietors. or other journalistic class. which has other interest as well.ou >> sean: very few people in the media were willing to cover the depth of what wikileaks revealed. with what these emails revealed. the content of these emails. i have for example, a lot of the major headlines. you've got the collusion between media organizations, giving hillary clinton questions ahead of time, asking for questionsn that they can ask republicans in a particular campaign, they are up toub their eyeballs. katie couric offered to showcase

to improve breathing for a full 24 hours. breo contains a type of medicine that increases the risk of death from asthma problems and may increase the risk of hospitalization in children and adolescents. breo is not for people whose asthma is well controlled on a long-term asthma control medicine, like an inhaled corticosteroid. once your asthma is well controlled, your doctor will decide if you can stop breo and prescribe a different asthma control medicine, like an inhaled corticosteroid. do not take breo more than prescribed. see your doctor if your asthma does not improve or gets worse. ask your doctor if 24-hour breo could be a missing piece for you. learn more about better breathing at mybreo.com.
