limbo and say we're not going to throw anybody off. well, if you repeal the taxes that paid for obamacare, which is about 2 trillion over a ten-year period, you bust the budget cap and leave one heck of a hole. and that couldn't be done either. so i talked to president-elect trump about this. he's been very kind. we've talked back and forth. i think we've got a great rapport going on here. and also vice president pence i met yesterday. steve: yep. >> and they're showing me that they're going to have something in place, and it should be voted on immediately. simultaneously. that would be wonderful. at least we have some certainty to this and people aren't left in alert. steve: sure. that's great news. the last couple of minutes, chuck schumer, the leader of the democrats and the senate announced opposition to senator sessions for attorney general said, you know, i -- we just can't go on with that. how do you feel about jeff sessions? does he have your vote? >> jeff sessions has my vote. he's my friend. i've built relationships and friendships here. i don't care if their democrats, republicans, independents.
5:38 am
we were sent here to make america better. and jeff sessions, i've known him for six years, we've been friends, we talk about an array of things. i have never detected. never one ounce of detection that jeff sessions is what they have said. and with that, i think he handled himself well. i can only say how i know the person, and i'm voting for the person i know. now, some people say he's too conservative. some people are too liberal. the bottom line is president-elect trump won the election. he ought to have a right to put his staff go together. if he goes through the background check and nuns his financial disclosures, then that basically should allow him to put his team together. brian: how surreal was it to do cory booker to go behind the microphone and condemn him yesterday? >> you know, cory is a good person. i know coy, and that just didn't seem like it was the cory i knew. and cory would have to speak on why he felt compelled to do it.
5:39 am
but he's a good man and that was out of character as i know cory. steve: well, if you're running for president in a couple of years -- >> it does strange things to you, doesn't it? brian: steve might run. we never know how you're going to react. >> i am who i am. i'm too old to change. i never intend to change. steve: thank you very much. ainsley: thank you. >> good morning. thank you. ainsley: coming up senator ted cruz and lindsey graham are here to weigh in on the brand-new battle between the president-elect and the main -- well, i shouldn't say brand-new battle. it's continuous. with the mainstream media. steve: plus that woman right there. sarah palin back in the headlines. she has a secret we cannot wait to reveal, and we'll tell you what we know. americans - 83% try to eat healthy.

ainsley: abby huntsman has some headlines for you and for your family. steve: how do you know? ainsley: because she just told me. >> and i got invited on the couch this morning. headlines started with this one, the taliban video of professors begging president-elect trump to save them. it's the first time we've seen kevin cane, who is an american taken back in august. in the video, king is pressing trump to put pressure on the government in exchange for the terror group. the two were kidnapped outside university in cobble. and this morning sarah palin a heated exchange with a reporter at yesterday's presser. take a listen. >> no. not you. not you. your organization's terrible.
5:44 am
>> palin call the president-elect a fearless leader. she says it was vindication and validation with those without a microphone. palin even hinted at what's to come. stay tuned for the next step and finally shoeing away the mainstream media. part two is coming. and there's this video showing theter vying moment an avalanche nearly crushes a snow border. watch this. that is insane and inflatable backpack like a car air bag nearly that i give man's life. this man activated right before the snow started crackling. other family members chipping in to buy the backpack for a birthday present saying it was
5:45 am
worth every penny. steve: that's right. pull the rip cord. it expands. you find a way out. brian: we were just looking at a sarah palin story that was intriguing and vindication. ainsley: lots of reasons there. >> did you see that video of the avalanche? >> oh, my gosh that's terrifying and, unfortunately, across the west they're going to be dealing with avalanche danger. let's take a look at the weather because there are a couple of headlines. we have this boundary that's separating the cold air and the warm spring-like air, and we have a potential for a ice storm. and if you live anywhere from texas up towards the great lakes, you need to be prepared for a possible ice storm. real quick. what are your names? >> tim and libby. >> and where are you from? >> asheville, north carolina. >> and happy birthday. >> and you, sir. >> my name is joe. and i'm from new jersey. >> and you want to be an intern. >> yes. i do. >> how about helping brian kilmeade with his coffee and getting a weather report? >> well, that would be a true
5:46 am
honor. >> oh, my gosh, well, hired. okay come over here because this is something that i want to show you. this is the closest i probably will ever get to owning this beautiful rolls-royce. this is the don rolls-royce. $335,000 will get you this beautiful car right here. it is a convertible. oh, my gosh. and i just want to pretend i'm vanna white because that's a job i've always wanted to do. does this open up? oh, my gosh. look at this thing. can somebody give me the keys? steve: isn't there an umbrella right there in the door. >> an umbrella in the door? steve: yeah. >> really? steve: yeah. >> i don't kno is there an umbrella in the doorway? where? show me? steve: yeah, it's so cool. >> will it give me the forecast as well? steve: look at this. there's an umbrella right there. >> this is a car for the weather machine. how much is that car?
5:47 am
>> $335,000, my friend. steve: how much do you have to put down? brian: well, it dear ms. with an umbrella, so it's a good deal. steve: janice, you get the curb. abby gets the couch. >> i would rather be in the car, though. i thought i was lucky to be here but that car is nice. brian: all right. abby, thank you very much. >> don't wreck it because you can't afford to fix it. brian: right. donald trump unloads on the amaze news. >> can you give us a chance? you're attacking our news organization. >> your organization relevancy terrible. steve: did trump cross a line? did the reporter cross the line? senator ted cruz, lindsey graham, they're listening. they're together. brian: i've never seen them together before. >> bill, are you yelling at martha? what was going on there? >> we were thinking about janice dean. she might work for uber. imagine the rides she would get. morning, guys. the next group up this morning

we will see hearings, secretary defense, cia, housing, urban development. and america is about to get to know these people in a way they don't already. general james mattis. and also trump and the cia, trump and the media. governor mike huckabee will address that followed by howard kurtz in our hearings. 12 minutes away at the top of the hour
5:51 am
>> president-elect, since you are attacking our news organization. >> no. not you. not you. your organization's terrible. >> you are attacking our news organization, can you give us a chance to ask a question, sir? steve: the heated exchange serve talking about. the president-elect blasting the media after an intel memo filled with rumors it is leaked.
5:52 am
even rumored to be intel. ainsley: it's an accusation the national intelligence director denies having north dakota nig to do with. and here to react is senate armed service committee member. we have senator ted cruz and senator lindsey graham. good morning to both of you. thank you for being with us. >> good morning. ainsley: senator graham, i'll start with you because you're from the great state of south carolina. >> go tigers. ainsley: yeah. oh, i know. national champions. we're so proud of them. what did you make of that exchange yesterday with jim and donald trump? >> you know, at the end of the day, unseemly, i guess. and the president-elect will soon be president, i hope they have a better engagement. the media still doesn't get why he won, and he's got to realize he's president, the campaign's over. better days ahead is what i predict. steve: sure, well, the reason he was unhappy was the fact that buzzfeed published a 35-year -- 35-page document that who knows if any of it is true.
5:53 am
and cnn said that trump got a two-page document about some crazy stuff in russia, which apparently was not true. he did not get it. he heard about it in passing. but senator cruz, there's some insinuation that maybe these leaks, these security leaks are actually coming from our intel community and that's one of the reasons mr. clapper called donald trump last night. >> well, listen, i don't know if there's any way to think that's the case. you're right that a couple of so-called journalistic outlets ran with completely unsubstantiated internet rumors. i thought journalism was supposed to do better than that. steve: right? >> and, you know, it is not complicated that the media, most of the media is bias. they've got a political agenda, you know, lindsey and i both for the last couple of days have been at the confirmation hearings for jeff sessions nominated to be attorney general. during those hearings, there were a bunch of left-wing protesters that jumped up and began screaming, and i pointed out. i said, look, i notice that all the tv cameras, all the --
5:54 am
took pictures of and filmed the protesters yelling kkk. and i gave a challenge to every news network. i tell you what. if you're going to air that, and i'm willing to bet you're all going to air that. how about you also air a prosecutor jeff sessions helped put a clansman on death row for murdering a young african-american man, and he helped bankrupt the clan in alabama. and what you know? not a single one of the news networks carried those facts. but they all carried the left-wing protester. that's just the reality in life. the media has a political act. steve: yeah, there's so much going on, and i watched your endorsement of ricks tillerson too. and everyone was holding on tight to hear what was going to happen. and here's what he said. >> i hadn't heard lindsey graham was going to do that. lindsey graham. i've been competing with him for a long time, and he's going to crack that 1% barrier one day. i didn't realize lindsey graham's still at it. it's all right.
5:55 am
i think lindsey graham's a nice guy actually. >> so it ended strong. what do you think of that? >> well, i think i'm a nice guy too. i think i got 1%. donald, you beat me. you're the president. i'm the senator. i want to help you. let it go. let's move on, and we're going to make america great again. ainsley: you had to get a new cell phone, though; right? >> yeah. it's better than giving out my number. that's progress. steve: progress. from 1% to 100%. both of you guys are behind a bill to defund the united nations. if they do not reverse the antiisrael sanction. senator cruz, explain what you're talking about. >> well, you know, as you know, lindsey and i agree on just about everything. >> most everything. >> what brings us together today is an issue that i think really units republicans but it all to unite americans. and that's standing with israel. if you look in the last month what barack obama has done, i think it's been nothing short of shameful.
5:56 am
it has been striking out against israel. really showing his true beliefs and the united nations with his acquiescence passed a rabidly antiisrael, illegal and illegitimate. it declares the -- steve: sure so what do you want to do, senator? >> so lindsey and i today are filing legislation to end taxpayer funding for the united nation, end it all unless and until they reverse this antiisrael resolution. ainsley: all right. we'll be watching. thank you, senators for joining us this morning. we have more fox and friends straight ahead. steve: and they're coming together. back in a moment.
