tv   Watters World  FOX News  January 14, 2017 5:00pm-6:01pm PST

5:00 pm
i hope you join me from washington is a help anchor our special inauguration coverage. "watters world" starts right [♪] jesse: welcome to "watters world." i'm your host jesse watters. earlier i sat down with tommy laren about what she thinks is going on with fake news. there is a specific strove swirling around you and we have to address it off the jump. >> let's do it, i'm an open book. >> your name is it tommy, tony? it's spelled in a strange texas way. i don't get it. how do you directly pronounce your name?
5:01 pm
>> it's tommy like the boy's name, laryn like sliern joy is. -- like liner jo like laryngit. they are calling me a lot worse on twitter. jesse: you are taking a lot of slings and arrows, donald trump put these guys in a body bag. >> since you are attacking us, can you give us a question? >> not you. >> you are attack our news organization. can you give us a chance to ask a question, sir. >> quiet, quiet. go ahead. >> can you give us aquestion. you are attacking us. >> don't be rude. i'm not going to give you a question. you are fake news.
5:02 pm
jesse: maybe if cnn wanted to give trump the question they should have leaked it like they did with hillary clinton during those other debates. i don't know how cnn comes back from that. do you have think we are witnessing the beginning of the ends? i say evolve or die. in this case adjust or die. donald trump will be our 45th president. as soon as the media and the democrats that own the media and participate in the media accept that, i think they can reclaim what dignity they once had. jesse: it's funny for me personally after watching president obama trash fox for the last 8 years. no one really cared. everybody yawnd.
5:03 pm
but trump goes after cnn and it's a threat to the freedom of the press. let's look at president's statements about fox news channel. >> if i watched fox i wouldn't vote for me. they have diverse sources of information. fox, you will miss me when i'm gone. it will be harder to convince the american people that hillary was born in kenya. jesse: it's funny when president obama tries to shut us out at fox news. but trump says one thing to a reporter acting rude at a press conference and all hell breaks loose. >> they want to control all the media and they can't control fox and that upsets them. the mainstream media for 8 years was so far up obama's butt they
5:04 pm
couldn't see the light of day. now those same people are trying to go off on their witch hunt against donald trump and it's not sticking anymore, and they are flailing and drowning and they don't know what to do because he punches back even harder. jesse: they with one playbook and it's not working. they are going after russia for trying to and talk the election and they are trying to sabotage the transition. you had meryl streep up there. let's listen to what she has to say. >> person asking to speak in the most trusted seat in our country mimicked a disabled reporter. jesse: i enjoy when celebrities talk about politics because it
5:05 pm
exposes how little they know. >> when you are sitting in a room full of other hollywood liberals it's great to give those speeches and they applaud. but if she would stand on a stage in wisconsin or michigan and the other blue collar, hard-working states that elected trump she would get a different reaction. for now she can stand on stage in her gown worth thousands and thousands of dollars and preach to us what it means to be an average american. jesse: let's take a look at the original performance that donald trump got in trouble for, allegedly mocking a disabled reporter. roll the tape. you've got to see this guy. i don't know what i said. i don't remember. jesse: so apparently because we did the research. mr. trump this flailing arm deal
5:06 pm
all the time when he mocks people who are dishevelled and don't know what they are doing. let's look at video foot average donald trump doing this. >> when you seat president at the bank, i mention the word "regulator." i watched the general recently on television. and they said what do you think about isis? >> oh, isis is very tough. they said senator cruz what do you think of waterboarding, i don't want to talk about it. jesse: he does this all the time. this looks like another fake news controversy. >> it's all part of the witch hunt. people have different expressions in the way they say things. they will pick apart every little thing donald trump does. it's just a different set of standard placed on donald trump that's not placed on anyone else.
5:07 pm
this is the way they are going to roll with this. meryl streep will be the voice of every american. she didn't mention the chicago torture video that was streamed on facebook. but she is so concerned about the rights of the disabled. jesse: are you going to be at any of the balls or inaugurations or are you so big time you will have a huge entourage around you? >> i have an an to your knowledge of myself. i will be -- roll with it like i do everything else. jesse: we look forward to see youing down there. diamond and silk are back in "watters world." the ladies are fired up. a "watters world"'s exclusive inside the hate crime apartment in chicago.
5:08 pm
hey... hold on, i can explain. you better have a good answer... switch to geico and you could save a ton of money on your car insurance. why didn't you say so in the first place? i thought you's was wearing a wire. haha, what? why would i wear a wire? geico. because saving fifteen percent or more on car insurance is always a great answer. of your brain can make it hard to lose weight? contrave is an fda-approved weight-loss medicine that may help adults who are overweight or struggle with obesity lose weight and keep it off. contrave is believed to work on two areas of the brain: your hunger center... 5:10 pm
5:11 pm
jesse: a lot of unintelligible things coming out of the intelligence community. here is what donald trump said about fake news leaks. >> i think it was disgraceful that the intelligence agencies aloud any information that turned out to be so false and fake out. i think it's a disgrace. i say that. and that's something that nazi germany would have done and did do. jesse: charles krauthammer had this to say about why this is going on. >> it looks as if the democrats on their way out the door are trying to leave behind as many land mines as they can to at least cast doubts on the legitimacy of the trump victory. all of a sudden as we have seen they have gotten interested in
5:12 pm
russian cyber warfare which the administration appeared to be nonchalant about until they lost the november election. now we'll have new investigation which means days and days of headlines about the other thing the democrats attribute their loss to, meaning comey's action with 11 days to go in which he reopened the investigation. jesse: congressman, it looks like what charles krauthammer is saying, the left seems to be sanitizing the hillary loss and are trying to smear trump and smear comey. we have a report from the guardian that said obama officials tried to wiretap trump's people in the summer over their potential ties to russia. we don't even know if that was
5:13 pm
allowed. but in the interest of being fair and balanced, would you be okay with the trump team when he take office investigating clinton officials for soliciting funds from saudi arabia? the saudis poured millions into the clinton foundation free-election. that -- pre-election. >> the most important thing is to look forward, not backyard. that's why we have to do everything we can to cure or democracy. the finding found that not only did hack or democracy and atake it. not only was it ordered by putin. the most important finding is they intend to do this again. i have been concerned donald trump up until this week didn't even acknowledge russia was
5:14 pm
responsible. if we don't want to see this happen again from russia or other countries, we have to make recommendations to secure our democracy. jesse: i agree with that. people are wondering why it took obama this long. there are a lot of allegations with hacking democracy. i don't know what that means since none of the vote tallies were affected. nbc news released a mic tape. cnn released questions to hillary clinton before the debate. the dnc paid people to fight at trump rallies. i don't know if john podesta's email about people come plaining about chelsea clinton was significant. >> what did was unprecedented, then they disseminated it.
5:15 pm
they paid social media trolls to disseminate fake news. what we know from our intelligence is that they did this because they wanted to help donald trump. donald trump is going to be the president. there is no disputing that. what i'm talking about is the integrity of our elections. these fights should belong to us. they should be spirited and hard fought. but both parties should say we are not going to allow outside countries to tip the scales. jesse: i completely agree with you. i don't even know if they have elections over there. people have been complaining a long time about president-elect trump, he can't be trusted with this national security information. but meanwhile it's the democrats who were hacked who didn't have a robust hacking defense. now it looks like the
5:16 pm
intelligence community may have leaked some of the briefings. so trump has been pretty tight lipped. i just want to make sure everybody stops leaking. i hate to see this whole thing politicized. charles krauthammer said president obama has been leaving land mines for donald trump as he walks outed the door. he also left a farewell address yours truly attended. >> in 10 days the world will witness a hallmark of our democracy. the peaceful transfer of power from one elected president to the next. jesse: obama's farewell, are you going to cry? >> i hope not. jesse: because i am. [♪] >> i'm going to miss obama. >> the president that brought
5:17 pm
the united states back to respectability. jesse: how what do we have? >> now we have a question mark. >> my mom jumped on the trump band wagon. jesse: do you speak to your mom anymore? >> i have to. jesse: what do you think president obama's greatest accomplishment has been he's the people's president. jesse: except all the people are poor. >> obamacare was probably the most monumental thing he did. jesse: even the website? jesse: were you disappointed in anything president obama did the last 8 years? >> i don't know, he had a very difficult job. jesse: what do you think president obama could have done better in the last 8 years. >> worked across the aisle. legalized marijuana. >> he should have worked on the
5:18 pm
race elations a little bit better. >> he did win the peace prize. reporter: fox news gave president obama a hard time the last 8 years. do you feel sorry for him? >> the job is under intense public scrutiny. it comes with the office. jesse: when president obama hands the keys over to president trump in a few days, what do you in. >> to [bleep] it up. >> i don't know if they literally hand the keys off. >> trump is a he t -- is a petut child. >> do you think trump will cry on obama's shoulders? >> i think trump is going to cry every day because he's unqualified and unprepared to lead this country. jesse: can i cry on your shoulder? >> you sure can. jesse: when we come back.
5:19 pm
diamond and silk. "watters world" heads to the wacky mountains for the news quiz. >> whose paying for the wall? >> the trump wall? >> not me. >> my mom. tomorrow's the day we'll play something besides video games. every day is a gift. especially for people with heart failure. but today there's entresto... a breakthrough medicine that can help make more tomorrows possible. tomorrow, i want to see teddy bait his first hook. in the largest heart failure study ever, entresto was proven to help more people stay alive and out of the hospital than a leading heart failure medicine. women who are pregnant must not take entresto. it can cause harm or death to an unborn baby. don't take entresto with an ace inhibitor or aliskiren. if you've had angioedema while taking an ace or arb medicine, don't take entresto.
5:20 pm
the most serious side effects are angioedema, low blood pressure, kidney problems, or high potassium in your blood. tomorrow, i'm gonna step out with my favorite girl. ask your doctor about entresto. and help make the gift of tomorrow possible. i need to promote my new busi can make that happen.et. business cards? business cards, brochures, banners... pens? pens, magnets, luggage tags, bumper stickers. how about foam fingers? like these? now, get 15% off making your company stand out. staples. make more happen. this is the rx...elevated. rx hybrid and rx f sport. get up to $5,000 customer cash on select 2016 models. see your lexus dealer. i mess around in the garage. i want to pay more to file my taxes. i want my tax software to charge me at the last second. paying $60 to file my taxes was the highlight of my day. and you just saw footage of me flipping burgers.

5:23 pm
what were you doing on election night? was there champagne involved? give us the details. >> we were in new york at the victory party. whenever he gave his speech we was on stage with him. jesse: you guys are like in the inner circle. >> yes, we were. jesse: are you cabinet-level people? will we see you walking in and out of the white house having lunch? >> you will probably see us walking in there for a party. but our voices will best serve donald trump outside the realm of d.c. we want to be the truth fellers about what's going on with the administration, and when it comes time for him to push his agenda, we can talk about it with the american people. >> keep in mind diamond and silk is not politically correct. jesse: for my take the media has
5:24 pm
been trying to smear and delegitimize president-elect trump. how do you have see it? >> absolutely. what they are trying to do is paint this dark cloud of doubt over his administration. but it's not going to work because we the american people got out and we voted for him. we voted for him because we wanted not only hope, but we wanted change. we wanted him to come in and change some things. we know he's going to do it. i think he will be fine in all of this. >> donald trump did more for the american people in 8 weeks than obama did in 8 years. jesse: he already job saved and he's racking up victories. the latest controversy involves hacking. people are saying they are involved the russians with hack our democracy. i'm still thought clear what that means. what is your hacking defense, ladies.
5:25 pm
do you have passwords and software? how do you check that out? >> i don't think puck prevents that. russia did not influence to us vote for donald trump. we were on the trump train from the very beginning. if anybody hacked us it was hoik rrm. she thought she would be hacking everywhere. but we've got out and voted for donald trump because we wanted to vote, not because somebody influenced us to do it. jesse: i don't think the russians made people not show up at any of her rallies. the balls are coming up next weekends in d.c. are you going to be dressed to the nines, showing us how to dance? >> yes, we'll be at the inaugural ball. and we'll have a good time. the 45th president of the

jesse: "watters world" went to the west side of chicago and here is our own investigation. police sources said he has schizophrenia and was not taking his medication leading up to the kidnapping. he's at home recuperating. the parents of the perpetrators say their sons were on angel dust. i spoke to one of the neighbors who told me he heard loud screams from inside the saturday when he left for work. he did not contact the police before he weren't to work and he now feels guilty about it. this is a "watters world" exclusive. take a look. >> horrifying and heartbreaking. those are some of the words being used to describe a sickening video kidnapping and torture streamlined on facebook.
5:33 pm
reporter: chicago police charging four teenagers with a hate crime for a sickening attack. jesse: let's get a look inside. did you know these people upstairs? >> no. jesse: did they own this apartment? jesse: the girls on the third floor? did you ever see them around?
5:34 pm
jesse: did they look like trouble to you? so this is the third floor apartment where the hate crime took place. you can see there is some discarded shoes on the floor. there is a little baby tray over here. it doesn't look like there has been a lot of activity. come on in. hello? seems like there might have actually been children in this apartment which is even more despicable. this is the bathroom. they made the victim drink out of the toilet that one point. judging from the video, this is exactly where this young man was tortured by these people.
5:35 pm
right here in this corner. he was cowering, he was scared where they repeatedly abused him on facebook live right here. joining me to discuss is geraldo rivera. we also found a ton of drug paraphernalia. it was a pcp situation. a lot of narcotics when these things take place. isn't it usually narcotics based? >> even hitler they say was on methamphetamines. it gives you extremer i extremee necessitneroses.
5:36 pm
>> do you think they were just trying to get attention. >> i want to congratulate your enterprise and counsel of you and your team getting to the scene of this atrocity. i said it before, i think you are the best young talent to come our way in the last decade. i think the proof is in the pudding right here. it's -- i spent my entire adult life sticking up for the developmentally disabled. emotionally, intellectually, physically challenged. to see a crime take lace likethf victims is after anded in this way, it's nightmare i shal,, itn every regard. the dust-up situation, it exaggerates your proclivities. what you would do is exaggerated and exponentially.
5:37 pm
that still reveals your inner soul. i in no way forgive these teenagers because they were on of what drug they were on for the crime they committed. there is a hideous intent that is so apparent. this town is on racial tenter hooks. jess require' the drug trafficking, the gainin -- the g warfare. i was the only guy down there. i'm wondering if this were a racial situation reversed, it would have been any different. >> for them to come to a conclusion that this is a hate crime, that's a main step toward honesty and disclosure that i
5:38 pm
approve of and applaud. jesse: you are giving the police credit for that. at first they said i don't know. we'll wait to see how things play out. everybody else can see it clearly. >> they talk about facebook live and the responsibility of facebook and all the rest of it. i applaud the fact that facebook live revealed the hideous kind of satanic evil in these children, and you wonder where is the value system that permits something like this? jesse: on one hand it's a good thing, but on the orer hand i didn't want to know. >> if it wasn't on facebook live we wouldn't have known and this would have gone unnoticed. jesse: democrat embarrassing themselves during the trump nominee confirmation hearings.
