have 43 million on food stamps, you can't have the lowest home ownership rate and 51 years and doubled the debt in the process and say things are going well. i think i was a big part of it. he did mention himself much today. >> these weren't statistics, these weren't real people. if you went across the country as i did at different times, you met these people. if you really had your eyes open, you knew what was going to happen. >> sean: i think there is a distinct -- it's a night to celebrate tonight, but going forward, donald trump will face is this republican establishment against him, democratic establishment, media establishment. by the way, like cnn over there. you know what it is? >> the political world, it doesn't want change. they make a very good living by making no change. what does that mean? will make a bill, make sure it doesn't actually get done. that's notn' donald trump. what he said it was normally

take six weeks, six months, six years, six hours, six seconds and he's going to see that with the executive orders he's going to sign, the cabinet that's going to come in. he'sng going to empower these people to go and change the way washington works. that includes saving hundreds of millions and billions of dollars on spending where we are getting killed because as the american government becausego we don't negotiate. >> sean: it's interesting. in the last couple of weeks, i watch the republicans, and they are talking about, let's advance the debt ceiling $9.7 trillion. and then they will or talking about bringing their marks back. maybe we'll do it within the next year on each one of those issues, trump said 10% cut, 20% cut. >>0% he's got this way of deali. and i don't understand it exactly. a certain personality that he has. and i amt in all of awe of it. >> sean: hang on. guys, if i may interrupt you,

boy, did i work those last four weeks. i worked -- oh, ay ay ay... that was some job. we did a good job together. i tell you what. many ofof the people in these rooms went to the rallies with us. they went to those rallies. i saw one person on television tonight. incredible family. her and her husband. she said, "we've gone to 42 trump rallies." i said, 42? 42? we did, we had a lot of people that went to a lot of the rallies. you know, when we went in, i really felt that last week in particular said, how are we going to lose? how can we lose? there is too much. there has never been a movement like this anywhere in the world. there is never been like that.

i am so looking forward -- i just left, actually, the oval office because -- because our great general "mad dog" mattis was approved tonight. the senate approved, he was first. and i went to sign, and mike pence who is coming out in a second, you saw what happen, right? he just swore him in. and general kelly -- we are going to have a border again. he was approved tonight by the senate. so we are starting to work and we are doing a great job. we are not going to let you down. remember the theme. make america great again and make america great again -- i will tell you what. i've added since i've gotten to

electoral math together, and you got it right. i had a little bit of a map than you did, i had new hampshire. i thought colorado might be in play a little bit more, but the rust belt really came through. that's where people have suffered theal most. >> my concern before the election was that people were not going to believe that we won when we won. i've been talking w to people. i talked to people over the weekend, look, i'd know you think i'm crazy, but let me put it on theou map. you're not going to likeo what you're going to hear, but it's going to happen on tuesday. trump -- the appeal he had in the rust belt was there. you could see it through the there, the responses, everything. people were paying no attention to it. and when hillary kept giving trump a free ride in those states, for him to walk in, it's all he neededd to be. >> sean: i don't know if it would've paid off if she did go. >>r she never understood this is a changed election. and he did. and the american people did.

and his speech today, his inaugural speech today, was right on message. >> sean: chuck todd today after he gives his speech, he still below to make the water. we don't know which one will show up. the same one who showed up for the last circle years. what did you expect works all of a sudden, he'll become an establishment? i don't think that's ever going to happen. >> people who criticize their speechit today, they'll criticie everything he does because they don't get it. they don't get the american people, they don't get donald trump, if they get one they will get the other because those two are in sync in this country and today he offered to. what he's done in the transition, which the media was looking for him to verify, he's done this transition when he said he was their candidate. >> sean: it's funny, different opinions with geraldo talking about the pageantry and ainsley was talking about the family. what stood out to me was when he said, s "i will not let you dow"

and he went through some of the promises and h talked about twitter and then he said, "should i stay on twitter," the crowd said "yes," securing the borders,rs not only making amera great but greater than ever. that is the person i got to know when i interviewed. i also saw a lot of growth in him in the year and a half through the campaign. i knew him beforehand, i watched him throughout the process, and i saw incredible growth and his trajectory said he's never seen in politicsg before. >> besides understanding the american people, he understood how to speak to them. the more he reacted to the reactions to the people, the more he helped them grow. politics is an art. >> sean: the art of the deal is different from the art of political war, great job. great to seeee you. when we come back, we've got judge shapiro, but we are waiting for the president of

this is a night of revelry and celebration. there is also a reminder that all of those cops on the beat, law enforcement at every level have worked there lives off for america. and finally they have a commander-in-chief who respects and reveres them. >> sean: i think that's a good point. and i don't want to give them a lot of attention, but there are people have been burning cars. there are little mobs. i saw a guy last night literally get chased into a secure area, fighting for his life a couple of hundred people were chasing him. >> very unfortunate. i think the process of the inaugural period, he still raw. in this country. it's important to honor it. there has to be rawls, rules, regulations, sean. all those folks, just stop. ifif you have an encouraging message, express it. express it peacefully, don't break cars but what's the point?

>> sean: i think you were appealing to people capable of stopping, they won't stop. they choose not to. we've seen a lot of this, though, in the last couple of years. i think one of the biggest mistakesi we've made, president obama made, michelle, being on the wrongth side of the high-profile racial issues like ferguson and baltimore and the cambridge police and trayvon martin, he created an atmosphere where people felt that they would never come when evidence was finally ultimately presented. >> that is the politics of chicago. and it was the demonization of those who stand with law and order. there is a reason why so many border patrol agents signed up and lined up with donald trump very early on. and while you saw all of the heroic families of illegal immigration and illegal immigrants criminals. and it was the fact that

donald trump alone among the g.o.p.ru candidates, so many of them opened borders who didn't understand what donald trump understood. they were, as you so often put it,e sean, the forgotten men and women. >> sean: you know, let's get back to that. donald trump i thought when he was here at this freedom ball and he said, "i will fight for you every single solitary day." i like the fact that he went back to not only make america great again but greater than ever. these are the things i'm going to do. i've gotten to know him a lot over the last couple of years, i've done a lot of interviews with them. a lot of town hallsrv with him. andhe since the election, his message doesn't shift. it's not changed. he seems very focused on an agenda and that's something that he was talking about the establishment and in d.c. today, his inaugural address, may be saying that we've got to change how we do businesso here. >> cpac, there is one word tht
