tv Justice With Judge Jeanine FOX News January 21, 2017 6:00pm-7:01pm PST
6:00 pm
yeah? you know you can file your taxes for free with credit karma, right? what? i must dance. file your taxes for free with credit karma tax. judge jeanine: right now on "justice." the dawn of a new day in america. "justice" was along for every step of the way. we are live in washington, d.c. with an exclusive interview with eric trump and actor steven baldwin and john vote. plus i go along with bikers for trump who take on the angry protesters out to disrupt the peaceful transition of power. later, street justice here in
6:01 pm
washington as we usher in the new and wave good-bye to the old. "justice," live in the nation's capital starts now. breaking tonight. protesters rain down upon washington, d.c. and in cities across america and the world. and our country's new president puts the media on notice. the new trump administration is off and running. hello and welcome to a special edition of justice live from our nation's capital on the roof of the chamber of commerce in washington, d.c. i'm judge jeanine pirro. the first interview anywhere with a member of the first family since the inauguration of our 45th president.
6:02 pm
he may be president. but donald trump's feud with certain media outlets will not die. today president trump spoke with the cia saying certain television networks blatantly lied about the crowds he drew on inauguration day. and he specifically called out a "time" magazine reporter who said the president removed the bust of dr. mash continue luther king from the office. such was not the case. the reporter later tweeted a retraction. take a listen to president trump and sean spicer who addressed reporters in the white house. >> we had a massive field of people. i get up this morning and i turn on one of the networks and they show an empty field. i made a speech, i looked out.
6:03 pm
the field was -- it looked like a million, million and a half people. they showed a field where there was practically nobody standing there. >> these attempts to lessen the enthusiasm of the inauguration are shameful and wrong. there has been a lot of talk in the meade what about the responsibility to hold donald trump accountable. i'm here to tell you have it goes two ways. we'll hold the press accountable as well. judge jeanine: we'll talk all about it tonight. but before we get to that and eric trump, my opening statement. now, you know that the only way to make actual change in this country is not only to have the moxy and the guts to do it. but also to not care what the drive-by media and the haters think of it. to make change will take someone who doesn't obsess, put fingers
6:04 pm
to the wind. someone who doesn't give a damn about what the naysayers or the chattering classes say. he's someone who is focused and understands what it takes to get the job done. and he understands base has been up and down and smart enough to get back up again. but there will be bumps in the road. he understands the changing the bureaucracy and the washington machine is not for the feint of heart. he understands that in order to do what has to be done, he can have no fear. because donald trump has been fearless in his campaign, to become commander-in-chief, and because he fought outside all the political boxes, because he was willing to go into a den of lions with only one thing in mind, winning.
6:05 pm
and indeed came out winning. donald trump will be the biggest change agent in the history of the united states. his speech yesterday reflected the man that america elected. it was straightforward, direct, and by all accounts, donald j. trump. but some save the as dark and militaristic. rachael maddow said quote the crime, the drugs, the american carnage, the despair, the decay. you can't imagine the outgoing president giving a speech like that. this president also repeating that our guiding principle in america will be america first. america first? that's not what he said. this is exactly what the president had to say.
6:06 pm
>> at the center of this movement is a crucial conviction, that a nation exists to serve its citizens. americans want great schools for their children. safe neighborhoods for their families, and good jobs for themselves. these are just and reasonable demands of ripous people and a righteous public. this american carnage stops right here and stops right now. judge jeanine: for those of you fortunate enough to live in a world that doesn't involve poverty, the inner city, crime, drugs, or gaining -- or gangs te president was talking about, you are the he let, you are the ones
6:07 pm
not connected to the reality of the life that so many in this great nation have to live. the president is not dark and militant. the president is simply talking about a world that exists for people in this great nation who never asked to be victims of crime, never asked to be born in the inner city, never asked to be victimize by drugs or gangs and never asked to be trapped in poverty. thank god there is a man who is strong enough to admit to our faults, and our weaknesses, and is willing to take them on. shine a light on them. show that to all of us so we together can make a difference for all of us and yes even the weakest among us. that's my open.
6:08 pm
tell me what you think on my facebook page or twitter trash tag judge jeanine. i had the opportunity to speak 0 one of the first family's most prominent members. the president's son eric. he joined me for a revealing and exclusive interview about his father's first day as president of the united states. here is eric trump. 44 hours from your dad being sworn in as president of the united states of america. when did it become real for you? >> when we got to the national tempery and laid a wreath at the tomb of the unknown soldier. it's one of the most beautiful places in the world. you are sitting there and the tranquility. you are overlook all of washington. i think it was at that moment that made it really real. he's now the commander-in-chief of the united states. he has unbelievable
6:09 pm
responsibility on him. it was a surreal moment. judge jeanine: did you see something different in your dad? was there a moment when he kind of went, i'm not donald trump anymore. i'm now the president of the strongest nation in the world. >> the power of that property is incredible. they call it hallowed ground for a reason. brave men and women have been laid to rest there for years and years and it represents the best of america. when you are sitting there it's so tranquil and you are looking over all these tombstones. it's a heavy burden and i think that have much sank in. it's more than running the biggest company in the world. you have incredible moral responsibility and he fully understands that. judge jeanine: and he's fully capable. >> he will do an unbelievable job. judge jeanine: he already
6:10 pm
started work. on day one he was in the oval office working. >> that's who the man is. he's a worker. he spent all day he's over at langley at the cia today. he signed some big orders. mattis has been approved. and those are very, very big thing. my father is a work and he will get to work. his passion was the reason he did this. judge jeanine: his passion is what sold him to the american people. but let's talk about yesterday for that moment, that very proud moment when your family walked out and when you walked out and looked out at all of the people out there waiting for your dad to be sworn in as president of the united states, what did you see and what did you think, and did you feel anything looking at your siblings and ivanka and donny, jr., what was it like? >> i saw a video of myself, and i was mouthing this is
6:11 pm
unbelievable. you look out at a sea of millions of people. but it hit before that. when you walk count hallway out of the capitol and you pass the honor guard there these are men and women in uniform at attention. you aring through a sea of them lines up on the way down the stairs, it was so powerful. you cop out this door, it's massive. you see the washington moisture a mile or two down. all there is is a sea of people. that's a 60-second period of time from the time you start that walk to the type you get to your seat. that's a sight i will never forget as long as i live it was truly an unbelievable moment. judge jeanine: as you walk, all of us were looking aught and your sister and your dad. do you think that everyone felt that sense of awe and
6:12 pm
responsibility? was there elation or a somber moment? what was it? >> it has to be somber. it has to be somber. it's incredible. you sit up there with the chief justices of the supreme court. you sit up there with so many senators and congressmen. it's unbelievable. it's unbelievable that sight. you are sitting so high and you have the capitol building and the military band, and they are playing. the way it's orchestrated. you heart reverberation of the sound of the speeches as it went down the mall because the distance is so great. you would say something but it would take several seconds before you heard it get to the end of the mall. there is nothing like it anywhere in the world. and it was so elegant ribbon. my father hit it out of the park. his speech was amazing. judge jeanine: so many presidents have come in with a part of the country opposed to
6:13 pm
who they are and what they stand for. what is your dad going to do as he fights to bring mayor today together just as he said yesterday in his speech? what does he have to do, do you think, to bring this country together? >> he's always been a unifier. and there is no question this country is divided. there is no question this country has been divided for a very * long time. i think you are seeing it more so than ever right now. people want jobs back, they want security back. people don't want isis running around this country. they don't want bombs going off at marathons. they don't want our nightclubs getting shot up. people want great education and jobs. they want manufacturing. they want a great quality of life, they want great healthcare. that's what we all want. no matter what side of the political aisle you are on. we are all americans and we all bleed the same color blood. we are all patriots and love this country.
6:14 pm
people want the same thing. security, fiscal responsibility. education and great family environment, security. just so many things. and he will deliver that. he has a bert ability to deliver that and i think any president before him. and he's going to do an unbelievable job. judge jeanine: the fact that the american people elected him as an outsider, the fact that he never worked in government says what the american people believe. what's it like in the white house? >> incredible. honestly, i think i pictured -- judge jeanine: have you ever been in the white house before? >> i weren't to georgetown university. i passed it a million times and i expected it to be -- it's bigger than i expected it to be.
6:15 pm
it's massive. it's very big. judge jeanine: where do you sleep in the white house? do you get to sleep anywhere? >> we do. we are staying there right now. it's truly beautiful. the people who are there are incredible. they are inspirational. they take so much pride in what they do. it's so manicured and beautiful. i think it represents the best of america. and it's a great honor it's truly a great honor. judge jeanine: the lincoln bedroom, have you seen it? >> i have. judge jeanine: for the first type? >> it's a sight to see. judge jeanine: do you think the "justice" viewers can see one of the bed rooms one of these days? >> i don't know, i'll have to get you over there at some point. i think we could swing it. you wouldn't mind that, would you? i think you would like that. judge jeanine: with this administration we won't have to pay.
6:16 pm
eric trump, thank you so much. i will have more with my interview on eric trump on a special sunday edition of justice tomorrow night. it's day one, and the president is taking aim at the media. joining me now to talk about that and more is fox news contributor doug schoen. good to see you. they won. it seems that both the president and sean spicer are not pulling back. the president at the cia today -- let me just set this up. it appears that not only was there some information that was inaccurate -- i think is the softest term i can use. saying they removed bust of martin luther kick which was not
6:17 pm
true. -- martin luther king, which was not true. but there was a discussion about the number of people who attended the inauguration. the bust of martin luther king. that was wrong. >> on that he has to clarify the record. there are implications both political, moral, and social for that alleged act which didn't happen. i'm glad sean spicer and the president clarified what really happened. judge jeanine: so they were wrong, president right, no doubt about it. >> no doubt. judge jeanine: number two, all of this discussion about the fact that or the allegation that the number of people who showed up for donald trump's inauguration was nothing like the number of people who showed up for obama's. the complaint that administration has right now is that number one, that that's not accurate.
6:18 pm
number two, when obama was inaugurated, they didn't need tickets, there weren't fences, there wasn't security, and these pictures were taken at different times earlier from a different angle, and so all of the media already starting with the president -- can you blame him for pushing back? >> i can't blame him for doing that. but i think he needs to pick his punches. judge jeanine: why? >> because he has to bring the country together again and take them on over crowd size which is a transtory and frankly i think trivial issue, was a mistake. clarifying the record is one thing. starting to fight about crowd size a different thing. i would worry about unity and leading, not crowd size. judge jeanine: what's the difference between clarifying the record and fighting about it. they clarified the record.
6:19 pm
they point out all the differences on why the press was inaccurate. you want to call it fighting, i call it clarifying. >> i heard the what sean spicer said. if i was working in the white house i would have told him tone it down, don't make a big fight out of it. clarify, go on and let's talk about the issues. judge jeanine: you know i respect you. let me ask you this. what about -- you know, setting a tone -- you are not going to play polite tall games. if you want to unify the country, let's agree on truth and reality. isn't that one way to level the playing field as opposed to let's make nice and pick our fights? isn't it bert instead of saying let's pick our fights, saying let's all speak the truth? >> the tone you just used, judge, is exactly right. sean spicer was more loss tile,
6:20 pm
divisive. we are a divided country. i want top concentrate if i were the trump administration on steps to bring people together, including the media, even the bad media, and they are oftentimes very bad as you pointed out. but as a message in the tone eric trump used and you just used is more appropriate and the way sean spicer was talking. judge jeanine: doug schoen, always good to see you have on "justice with judge jeanine." next, protesters out in force against the new president. but they didn't count on my old friend the bikers for trump. i'm joined live by the founder of the minnesota cycle group with more on how they took on the prove testers. then i hit the streets here in the nation's capital hours after the new president was sworn in. so if you have a flat tire, dead battery,

cities? country and the world. but there was one group of trump supporters who were not going to let it happen. i spent time with bikers for trump. i pen rode with them at the republican national convention in cleveland last year. but the group is here to counteract the protesters. chris cox is with me here in washington, d.c. thanks for being with us. you got a permit to be in a park in d.c. what was the point of your being here, do you think? >> we had a bishop from louisiana come in. a biker for christ and we were talking about how to bring this country together dealing with race relations. during that we had a bunch of protesters acting you have and we had to engage with several of them as a result their aggressive nature. during engaging with them, i said is anybody here being paid
6:26 pm
by george soros, raise your hands. all 15 of the guise with ski masks on raises their hands. judge jeanine: did you expect there would be confrontations twin and any of the protesters? >> not at all. after the role we played in cleveland, it was smooth sailing and i anticipated the same thing in washington. but we had a lot of activity. we engaged five different protesters. they definitely came out on the shortened of the stick. after these engagements, one guy had his earring knocked out of his nose after spitting and in a biker's face. after the police talked to him web said thank you, sir. judge jeanine: have you ever seen protesters like this before? >> i even ask them what are you
6:27 pm
protesting. i said what rights do you have not have. bike terse for trump will help gift those rights. explain wait is you don't have. they couldn't explain to me anything. they said they were trying to protect rights they might lose. another thing. what about the right of parental guidance. they had young children out there and there were signs saying f trump, there were suggestive sexual signs and drawings. judge jeanine: i was in that protest and we'll show a lot of that tomorrow night. there was a lot of vulgarity and cursing. >> a lot of name calling. we were spit on. it was not much of a class act there. it was pretty embarrassing for the country, if you ask me. jean rrp did you accomplish what you came here to accomplish? >> we were flip side of the coin. there were 90 permits given and we whether only pro trump permit given.
6:28 pm
we represented donald trump and all the trump supporters that came together collectively to celebrate his inauguration and we were successful as far as i'm concerned. we are used to being outnumbered. the bikers don't back down. we aren't going to start the fight, but we are there to support donald trump. the republicann us being a party for years to come. we are up to 250,000 members. and we are a political phenomenon because of donald trump being a political phenomenon. judge jeanine: chris cox, bikers. i'm sure donald trump and his family thank you for the work you have done. judge jeanine: actor john vote is on deck. street justice along the inaugural parade roof.

6:34 pm
$100 million was raced to pay for trump's inauguration. that surpasses $56 million for obama's. judge jeanine: we have a new president, we have protesters in the street, but some things never change. we have a great political panel to talk about the new regime. we have david avella, a republican political strategist and mary anne marsh. let's talk about the fact we have got the president, he has done some work, and jail start with you, mary anne, he started -- and we'll start with you, maryanne. >> i think what you are going to
6:35 pm
see from donald trump you saw at the end of the this week, the beginning of next week. the flurry of executive orders to try to stop everything obama has done on healthcare and oil and gas. that's not a surprise given the way he campaigned. what is surprising to me is one executive order was stop the federal home administration's insurance premium cut on the books that affects 40,000 people from having the opportunity to buy homes. that is surprising because it hurts the people who voted for trump. how do you get them in the weeds this early? john: wasn't that a last in minute change barack obama did and wasn't there a concern of destabilization cold front mort gainings? >> that's correct. what you have seen is two things. he's going to focus on -- maryanne correctly said undoing what has happened the last 8 years which is why he got
6:36 pm
elected. he will focus on economic things, where you see obamacare and you see hip putting a freeze on all new federal regulations. you saw also the security side of what he's going to do. he went after the cia today. he signed a waiver to get mattis in as secretary of defense. he will do what he said he was going to do. the montana says what he means and means what he says. >> in the last two days we had people protest freely and openly in this country. and no one' first amendment got hurt. no one is going to get g goaded. on thing that people got take away was the second amendment because gun laws wouldn't allow them to bring a gun in.
6:37 pm
judge jeanine: i was in the middle of those protests. chris cox the guest who was here earlier said the same thing i heard. and that was, they haven't really lost anything, but the word about losing something, it's almost as though there is nothing in particular we wanted, but we want to make sure we don't lose anything. is that your sense of what this was about? >> i think it was a broader. i think a lot of people brought a lot of concerns to these protests that were remarkable today. the millions of people who turned out around the world to protest. much of it had to do with the words of donald trump. now he put his hand on the bible yesterday, he's taken office and they want to make sure the thing they care about when it comes to women's health and civil rights, rights for gaze and lesbians. social justice, civil right, voting rights. all those things don't get repealed as well. so just as he's issuing
6:38 pm
executive orders to stop things barack obama has done in the last 8 years and the last few week. weep don't want the right they have fought so hard for for many many decade to be rolled back, too. people are rightfully concerned about it. judge jeanine: you didn't see republicans when obama especially in the second term saying we are worried about our religion and catholic and the middle east. this is something so many people said and i will let you and it, david, that was soros funded. >> much of the divisive language or what they believe is divisive language, they said they could never vote for trump because of the way he says things. you look at the signs that were out there. judge jeanine: there was profanity. we couldn't even film it. i was cursed at. you know what, i'm not around.
6:39 pm
but this stuff walk tough language. >> i didn't see any of that here. judge jeanine: you didn't? you are in boston? maybe boston is more vish ginnal. >> very peaceful and well organized. judge jeanine: what are we going to see this week? >> i think you see a flurry of executive orders from donald trump and maybe a trade deal announcing the fact that theresa may is coming here and work out a deal with her and perhaps a foreign policy surprise down the road. >> i think you will see cabinet nominees get confirmed. you will continue to see him pushing his tax reform ideas, his regulation idea. and you will visit the key agencies like state and treasury and commerce all focused on his big message, economic and
6:40 pm

6:45 pm
american landscape? >> i think many of us certainly you, and many, many people had a lot to do with it. but when you look at the landscape of all america, it's relatively few people who made a great continue to encourage, inspire to keep us all going. i'm sure they are going to go upstairs from this place and introduce rudy giuliani. i remember in difficult times of the campaign when so many people on the other side were reporting tremendous bad numbers from the polls. and it seeped like thing were going awry. and at those times it seems like every time there was a test for me. and of course you were so positive and such -- so remarkable in your energy. you had that naturally. but you have this positive great
6:46 pm
energy that keeps everybody up. and rudy does, too. at those moment, i keyed on you guys, and you gave me spirit to the goat next mile. so there is a lot of people that really helped each other. as our president says, as our president trump says, he said, this is a movement. so this was a lot of people throughout the country. judge jeanine: here you are on the eve of a day that's hard to believe is here, but it's here. what do you wish for in the 100 days. >> i have to say i'm proud of the way donald trump has proceeded from the first moment of his victory in the election right to the present time. i think he's done more -- he's worked harder putting longer hours, and accomplished more than any other president in my memory. and i was born in 1938.
6:47 pm
but i have never seen anything energy like this in some ways. he has this metabolism. he sleeps very little. judge jeanine: he sleeps like 3 hours a night. >> i would see at the end of the day in california after we made a stop in wisconsin and texas, and he was as fresh as he was in the early part of the morning. so we have this tremendous energy, you know. and i'm very impressed what with what he accomplished and i'm very impressed with the cabinet he put together. it rivals the great cabinets of country's history and maybe even the brilliant first cab nest our founders. these guys are quite special. judge jeanine: last question. did you experience any pushback in l.a.? >> of course you see all across the country people on the other side are very forceful, and
6:48 pm
sometimes unpleasant. but it was normal. when they try to depict people in the way they describe them, and then you see the way they respond to things, and the wait republican side responded, we seem to have a more race. judge jeanine: i want you to know how much we appreciate you being graceful and speaking to us. >> she tracked me down. i have always been impressed. but honestly. just between us. i'm scared of her. i am scared of her. if i -- i don't know what she is going to say to me. judges scare me.
6:49 pm
6:50 pm
6:53 pm
judge jeanine: we were talking about protests in washington. today's protests were largely peaceful. meantime i was lucky enough not middle of history as our nation's 45th president was sworn in. afterwards i did way always do. i hit the pavement for street justice in washington. what do you think the first thing donald trump as president will do. >> get his administration leaders appointed. >> sign executive orders to cancel a lot of the unpopular stuff. we need military strength. >> repeal obamacare. >> he's going to get everything done he said he was going to get done. judge jeanine: i said last night he's not going to hit the ground
6:54 pm
running, he will be airborne in 30 minutes. >> i think his speech was amazing. it gave me chills to hear him speak. >> do you know her? >> that's my mother. judge jeanine: do you always agree with your mother? >> most of the time. judge jeanine: how old are you? >> i'm 16. judge jeanine: give him a couple years. >> i feel the world will be righted the right way. we are kicking this guy on his airplane back to where he belongs and he will have to wash his own damn dishes tonight. judge jeanine: this is a tough audience. how do you have so much faith in donald trump? >> i think he's a real person and he wants to make real differences in people's lives. he's a businessman. we need a government run like a smart -- like you would run a smart business. >> we came from canada to see
6:55 pm
this. jean rrp i like your glasses. >> thank you. i like your show. judge jeanine: thank you. do they air it in canada? >> they do. judge jeanine: we get across the bored? >> you do. judge jeanine: whose coat do we like better? whose coat? >> melania's. she looked absolutely beautiful. beautiful. jean rrp she is beautiful. how could you not love her coat. >> she is the jackie kennedy our era. judge jeanine: did you love ivanka's pants suit, the white one? >> she is grace in motion. judge jeanine: are we loving this suit for the first family? >> purchase my favorite. we love you. judge jeanine: who loves me? >> my hubby. >> he's going to help turn around our country.
6:56 pm
he's going to make america one again by uniting all of us. judge jeanine: that's what he made clear today, make us one again. god love all, i'm leaving. are o. home, car, life insurance obviously, ohhh... but with added touches you can't get everywhere else, like claim free rewards... or safe driving bonus checks. oh yes.... even a claim satisfaction guaranteeeeeeeeeee! in means protection plus unique extras only from an expert allstate agent. it's good to be in, good hands.
