♪ i did it my way . melissa: why do i get the sense this isn't the first time you've risen up. >> i waved my way through a sea
6:01 pm
of protesters in the nation's capitol to find out what their problem is with our 45th president. >> he's filthy, he's vile and says nasty things. >> come on! he's not so bad. >> you've known me for a long time. >> the new administration ready to go, and so is justice. hello, and welcome to a special sunday edition of "justice," we are live once again in our nation's capitol. i'm judge jeanine pirro, thanks for being with us tonight. we're only a couple of days into the trump administration and there is no shortage of things to talk about. and you'll see more of my exclusive one-on-one interview with eric trump, including his thoughts on father's inauguration speech, and some of the criticism from the left that followed.
6:02 pm
also, top republicans here tonight to talk about what's on tap for the first 100 days under president trump? but first, it's been a busy weekend, and the week ahead for the president promises to be the same. i'm joined live by american conservative union chairman matt schlapp. matt, thanks for being with us tonight in d.c. >> good to have you here. >> good to be here, i love this city. and especially with a new president, lots of excitement. >> you're happy the protesters have moved on. >> actually interesting being in the thick of it, you know? it's really america at its best. i have to tell you. protesting was peaceful, it was all good, whether you agree or disagree. this is america, this is what a democracy is. let's talk about what happened with sean spicer. look, lots of blowback from the mainstream media how many people were there, and as i said last night, you know, people didn't need to have
6:03 pm
security passes or tickets and there wasn't all of the things that were needed four years ago. doesn't matter, does anyone know the facts? >> no, i don't necessarily know if we know the facts. national park service doesn't make all of this public. if you look at people who rode metro and the tv audience, it's a good case for donald trump. the speech is the new, judge, it was a fantastic speech, the shortest in about four decades and he really connected with people. what i don't like about what happened in the press conference, we started talking about the details who was at inauguration instead of the message out of the inauguration, and when it comes to republicans, a lot of republicans don't like to go way down in the crowds. for the obama folks, they were able to go there, there were no protestors and they had a big crowd. a lot of republicans don't like seeing the protesters, there were nasty protesters out there. >> yeah. >> the bottom line is if you
6:04 pm
look at fact the inauguration had on america, it's one of the biggest impacts since reagan. >> i want to be clear, the women's march was very peaceful but the day before it was not peaceful. i want to be clear on that. >> it was terrible. >> you said something interesting. president's speech, it was clear, it was direct, it kind of got lost in the discussion about how many people were actually at inauguration. was that a faux pas? >> you know mercy and i worked in the white house. you get so frustrated. >> mercy, you mean your wife mercedes. >> i'm sorry, fox's own mercedes schlapp. you get frustrated when they cover things incorrectly. happened on first moment in office, they were having reporters cover things incorrectly. trump said there's a new sheriff in town. when you cover things incorrectly, we're going to correct the fact. part of me likes that, you have to be careful you don't step on the great message that came out
6:05 pm
of address. and my encouragement to the administration. they don't need it from me, get right back on it. >> he had to say something about the bust of martin luther king. it had consequences, social, cultural. they were wrong, just wrong. let's move on. talk about this week, we have theresa may, brexit, renegotiation of nafta. is that happening? >> absolutely. trump talked about the desire to renegotiate nafta, came out with a message this week. what's interesting with the national security team, general mike flynn, k.t. mcfarland and the whole team, the newly confirmed secretaries, rex tillerson is going to get through likely without a problem. >> what about nafta? >> the trade and foreign policy are going to be linked. he has a conversation with the prime minister of canada. prime minister of uk theresa may coming to see him. all about trade. two things to remember, nafta is going to be renegotiated, anyone who tells you it can't or won't be done, they're
6:06 pm
wrong. it's going to be done. and don't have trade agreement with the biggest ally on the globe, the uk. that is influential in europe. >> uk or canada? >> i think both. these are the two spheres that mattered. we make sure we have a renegotiated nafta and most important ally in europe. when it comes to nafta, it's bracing for the city, judge, there's a new way of thinking things and american jobs are the first consideration when it comes to the deals. no longer are we going to give away our jobs for national security concerns. >> matt schlapp, always good to have you here. thanks for being with us. don't go too far. you're coming back to joins out panel later. so what can we expect from the first hundred days of the trump administration? one of the biggest hurtles will be repealing and replacing obamacare. counselor to the president kellyanne conway addressed some of the concerns on that this morning. take a listen.
6:07 pm
>> president trump stop enforcing the individual mandate? >> what president trump is doing, he wants to get rid of the obamacare panel almost immediately. that is strangling a lot of americans to pay a penalty for having to buy health care. >> he'll stop enforcing that mandate? >> he may. look, we want to make clear to everyone, those relying upon coverage will not lose it. >> joining me to talk about that and more, republican congressman and prominent president trump supporter chris collins. congressman from new york. >> judge, welcome to my home away from home. >> okay! and it's good to see congressman from new york here. all right, i want to talk to you exclusively about obamacare and also recognize that you are part of that eight member task force in congress that has been talking about improving medicaid for the last year as i understand it. >> that's right. >> this is kind of your wheel house. now i was in the thick of that march yesterday, the women's
6:08 pm
march and it was almost like chicken little, okay? the sky is falling. 18 million americans are going to be without health care. nobody was concerned about president obama he promised you keep your health care plan, keep your doctor. they were only concerned that president trump is going to make everything a nightmare. what has happened? what has president trump done? he's already signed one document. what did he sign? >> that was a huge first step. when you think about all the costs that were passed down to businesses and individuals, what the executive order did was authorize the agencies now under his control to look at any tax, fee or penalty given against companies, individuals, insurance companies, medical device manufacturers, that would be a cost burden, any cost burden on any state. an effective executive order neutered all of the negative. >> so the executive order that the president signed that requires people to pay a
6:09 pm
penalty, if they don't get insurance or pay insurance, the president neutered that? >> that's correct, the most important piece, you remember how many folks were working 39 hours at a company and cut to 26 hours because the penalty kicked in for businesses at 30 hours? >> right. >> there you go. now they can get back to working 39 hours. don't have to work two jobs. don't have to take a bus across town. >> okay, now the question is, how do we get the revenue to pay for the coverage if we get rid of the fines, what do we do now? >> well, the fines and penalties and the things like the 30-hour workweek which were destroying the economy, the fact is the economy is going to be booming under donald trump, none of this 1.8% gdp growth. economic growth, you have to grow your way back to success. in growth, have you more income, less people on the welfare programs, less people on food stamps, reducing expenses enough to offset this,
6:10 pm
and it's a healthier way are in country to be. grow our way with more revenue coming in, people are working, businesses make more products and throw in the international trade, get the jobs back that have been stolen. this is part of the game plan, economic growth. >> what do you say to these people. the women in the march when the president signed the executive order gutting the penalties that employers and individuals had to pay. they say that that executive order took away their insurance. did it take away anyone's insurance? >> it didn't take away anything. we're going to have the same coverage, we're not changing obamacare coverage for two years. that's in place. >> that stays the same. >> the scare tactics of senator schumer and others saying we're going to make america sick again, that is chicken little, the sky is falling, it is not. they're scare tactics, coverage will not change under obamacare. but now companies can band
6:11 pm
together have, health insurance where it makes sense for them. high deductibles with hsa's, businesses can go back to the chambers of commerce and get insurance again. that was outlawed under the aca. many members lost half the members because that's when they were getting insurance. when they lost, that they left. >> you've got to get the message out that for at least 2017, and i guess 2018, a part of it, that you cannot lose your health care. >> sure, but we have to count on the liberal press to deliver that message. they're too busy delivering the message that the sky is falling, let's face it. >> congressman chris collins, so good to have you here. >> always good to be with you, judge. >> and still ahead -- ben stein joins me live to discuss donald trump's inaugural speech and more. plus, putting america first. >> we've lost 70,000 factories. 70,000 factories since 2001,
6:12 pm
politicians do nothing about it. america has to start coming first again. >> part two of my exclusive interview with eric trump, the first since the first family moved into the white house. don't miss it. and then -- >> hate so deep that there's nothing the man can do? >> no, hate isn't that deep. if he takes affordable care, works with the democrats, really gets a coalition -- >> they won't even show up! >> i try to reason with protesters at the women's march in washington, and you want to see how that went. street justice coming up. what a weekend spent in washington it. feels, though, like i just got here. >> street justice hits washington, the capitol is on our left. we are just getting into town and just getting started. stay with us. l day. i'm bushed! yea me too. excuse me...coming through! ride the gel wave of comfort with dr. scholls massaging gel insoles.

6:14 pm
6:15 pm
6:16 pm
. judge jeanine: welcome back to "justice". last night i brought you some of my exclusive interview with president trump's son eric. tonight, part two. including eric's take on his father's historic inaugural speech. >> my father hit it out of the park. his speech was amazing, and
6:17 pm
quite frankly i think it shocked some of the politicians standing there because he was for the first time speaking to the people for the people and that hasn't been done by a politician in a very long time. judge jeanine: i want to talk about that speech. that speech was clearly it was what he said on the campaign, it was the classic this is who i am. this is what i said. nothing is changing. it was strong. there was not a sense, for one moment, that your dad was uncertain or in any way nervous or in awe. it was just donald trump, now the president, now with the power behind the words. >> he's the man with amazing conviction, and he believes in his message, and the message is actually very simple. america first. america first. make america great again. but we need to as a country and as a responsibility of our
6:18 pm
politicians, commander in chief, to put our nation first. judge jeanine: and what you -- >> we haven't done that. we haven't done that. judge jeanine: what do you say to the people that's dark, and that's horrible? you have to say to yourself, who should be first, if not america? >> we need to fight for ourselves, and unfortunately we haven't fought for ourselves. you and i spent so much time during the campaign talking about this. 20 trillion dollars worth of debt. a military that's run down, right? we can do so much better. a va that's totally broken. we have so many amazing vets that are not being taken care of, educational system that's ranked 30th in the world. i could go on and on and on. look at our health care system and how it's implodeingly right now. look at our schools. it's unbelievable. these are the things that need to be fixed. we've lost 70,000 factories, 70,000 factories since 2001, politicians have done nothing about it. judge jeanine: your dad made it
6:19 pm
very clear that we're not going to take words alone from politicians, the politicians are going to be held accountable. he's going to hold their feet to the fire as well. is it a whole new chapter in american politics with your dad at the helm? >> no question, he's going to work and fight and he's going to work and fight more, and that's what the american people want out of a commander in chief. that's why he won. people saw how hard he worked. people saw how hard he fought. america wants a fighter. america is a fighter. we're all fighters. i mean it's who we are as a nation, we want somebody who will represent us well and we haven't had that representation, he's going to do a great job, get to work very, very quickly, and the cabinet he's assembling, as i get to know them much closer, they are incredible people, brilliant people. their heart is in the right job. so many of them had incredible jobs quite frankly, they've almost taken a step back
6:20 pm
financially and other things to come into the cabinet, but he's going to do and they are going to do such an unbelievable job. judge jeanine: one of the things you heard eric trump discuss is his father, the president's inaugural speech. here to talk about it economist and former presidential speechwriter himself, ben stein. hi, ben. >> how are you? >> i'm good. how are you? >> good. we're wet out here. dying of deluge, torrential rains. judge jeanine: i don't feel sorry for you, ben, you live in california and the sunshine is right there. talk to me about that speech. what do you think? >> it was nice and short, i liked that. very short. and didn't use up a lot of time. it was probably the least eloquent speech i've heard in my time. i think his heart in the right place as you were discussing with his son. i'd like to see america greater than it now is. but i think america is pretty damn great. i don't see how he's going to
6:21 pm
get all of the jobs back. most of the jobs are lost not to foreign countries but automation. we are certainly not going to stop automation. i don't see how he's going to improve the school system in america unless he gets school choice and democrats will fight tooth and nail against school choice. i don't see how he's going to fix the health care plan easily. that's an incredibly difficult piece of work. the democrats killed it. i have the feeling no matter what mr. obama comes up with, the democrats will try to kill it. judge jeanine: mr. trump. >> he has an awful lot of work ahead of him. can he eradicate radical islam, not any time soon. the fact he's calling it radical islamic terrorism is a step in the right direction. judge jeanine: wow, you are a very optimistic man, ben stein. [laughter] >> funny. judge jeanine: here's the thing, here's the thing. there is, i got to tell you, wasn't a short speech. to be honest with you i looked
6:22 pm
at a lot of the speeches. his was 14 minutes, a lot are 15, 20, from bush, clinton, bush the two and obama and all that. but you know what was eloquent to me. to me it's eloquent when you talk about the importance of god and america first. >> every president talks about god. every president talks about god. judge jeanine: why is it less eloquent than any other president. >> because there was not eloquent memorable phrase in it. the only eloquent memorable phrase was make america first. that's an evil phrase that comes from charles lindbergh and anti--- i'm sorry, pro nazi america first policy. i don't know why he chose that phrase. judge jeanine: if america is not first, who should be first? >> we absolutely should be first. judge jeanine: should we give up the term and say america should be second?
6:23 pm
or should we have -- >> no, no, absolutely not. i didn't remotely say, that judge, i don't know why you are saying that. judge jeanine: you said it is an evil term. >> let's say america at the summit but america first has a certain connotation which is not a pretty connotation, fair young person like you, it probably didn't mean anything, but it is an evil connotation. let's get back to the point. how is he going to get the inner city schools better? how? we spend more on inner city pupils than any school system in the world. judge jeanine: isn't that a reflection of the money we're spending on the unions? isn't that a reflection of all of the money that we're dumping down the drain? we're at the bottom of the list in terms of education, and where our kids are in the world. >> how is he going to fix it? judge, how is he going to fix it? our american school system is far worse than you think. in chicago, a majority of public school students cannot read. it is really, really bad.
6:24 pm
how is he going to fix it. judge jeanine: i tell you how to fix chicago, first thing is get rid of rahm emanuel, second thing is get rid of the guns. third thing, put people in jail. fourth thing, you bring a begin in, we're coming after you and we're going to lock you up. that's what donald trump is going to do? >> how is that going to fix the educational system. judge jeanine: a kid can't wait to go to school because they would rather make money selling drugs and guns. it's a big problem, not at that point! >> how is he going to fix it? judge, how is he going to fix it? judge jeanine: start putting the criminals in jail! >> the students are not criminals. judge jeanine: i lived in chicago. what? they're not -- >> they are not criminals. judge jeanine: ben, i love you, ben, there's no incentive for kids to go to school. there are broken families, there are people in chicago who just think that we're out of
6:25 pm
time, they tell me. okay. ben, see, will you come back again? >> i will come back, you can move out here to sunny cal. we can talk about it every day. judge jeanine: all right, ben stein. thank you so much. good to you have on "justice." >> thank you. judge jeanine: matt schlapp is back along with former democratic presidential candidate dennis kucinich. they're on the panel next. plus more from my weekend in the nationt capitol, and here's a look what happened when i commandeered a golf cart to beat the gridlock the night before the inauguration. take a look. "justice" is coming right back. >> i'm here with ricardo, we finished doing tucker carlson's show, ricardo gave me a ride on the golf cart. why did you do this for me? >> why not do it for you. judge jeanine: thank you, you drove me through the woods, through the alleys, on the sidewalk, through the cops. we left people on the road, flat-out, driedout, flattened
6:26 pm
out, are you going to admit to it? >> yes. judge jeanine: no! never confess, ricardo! never! ♪ but my back pain was making it hard to sleep and open up on time. then i found aleve pm. the only one to combine a safe sleep aid plus the 12 hour pain relieving strength of aleve. now i'm back. aleve pm for a better am.
6:27 pm
still trying to find how ara good site.going? they all...want...to... charge me. have you tried credit karma? credit karma doesn't do taxes. does credit karma do taxes? yeah, and they're totally free, so they'll never take any of your refund. oooh, credit karma...huh? we... probably still want those. yeah, good call. file your taxes for free with credit karma tax.

hail and flooding are concerned for forecasters. if you're living in those areas, be careful. i'm kelly wright, now back to "justice with judge jeanine.". judge jeanine: welcome back to "justice" and it's time for the panel. american conservative chairman matt schlapp and former ohio congressman, fox news contributor and onetime candidate for president, democratic candidate for president. let's talk about what we've been seeing, and i want to focus on the president's speech, just for a moment, i know that you have thoughts about the speech, dennis, a democrat, you ran for president. what did you think of it? >> things i've been talking about for 30 or more years about doing something about the trade agreements causing our cities to be hollowed out and factories to be closed, about standing up for the american worker. about rebuilding the infrastructure, put millions of people back to work, stopping
6:32 pm
foreign interventions, wasting trifls dollars abroad. he covered those points. frankly i think it's important for america to read what he said, not just hear it but read what he said and to consider that there might be some way that we can bring this country together on the kind of principles that he laid out. judge jeanine: wait a minute, you're a democrat. >> that's right. judge jeanine: i was in the middle of hundreds of thousands of democrats yesterday, if not left, socialists, whatever, and you like the speech? ben stein didn't like the speech. >> here's the thing, look, i reserve the right to disagree with him on anything, and i reserve the right to agree with him as well. and so i felt that -- judge jeanine: did you think it was dark? >> no, not at all. judge jeanine: did you take offense at america first? >> i gave a speech like that in 1984, and no one called him a racist when he did it. judge jeanine: of course not, of course not. >> what do you want america fourth or fifth? judge jeanine: i'm trying to figure out.
6:33 pm
>> the point being that the issues that he talked about in his inaugural address were things that relate to people's aspirations, good educations for their kids, they want jobs. they want the good life, and how do you do that? do something about the trade problems, money abroad. judge jeanine: what do you think? quickly? >> i'm a conservative return, you're a conservative progressive democrat, i think donald trump talked to the real voters out there. when two-thirds of the country think the country is on the wrong track, judge, it's okay to understand they're hurting and having trouble getting by. judge jeanine: when he talked about drugs and gangs and rusted out factories, crime, he talked about, everybody said that was dark. no, that's the reality! >> it's real. >> when is the last time we had a president talk about the inner cities? this is where i come from. i was mayor of clearlied. judge jeanine: cleveland, what a mess. >> when he says it, it's dark,
6:34 pm
when a democrat says it, it's fine. judge jeanine: there were people in the middle of the protest, i said to it, look, you will see in street justice at the end of the show, why are you here? well, we want to maintain our rights. what in particular? our women's rights. we have the right to vote. we're okay, row -- roe versus wade is okay. it's not just trump, it's the congress, it's the house, but it's all donald trump's fault. what is going there is so much hatred. i asked previously, if donald trump did what you wanted, would you give him credit, matt, not a one would say yes. >> that doesn't surprise me. you said earlier this is part of democracy and i agree with you. a lot of people in my family who i have political disagreements were out there as well. this is all how it looks to the american people, they're having trouble getting over election laws. a lot of the people were excited about hillary clinton
6:35 pm
being president, but most americans weren't, and she actually didn't connect to voters and the fact is this, donald trump if he can get the economy moving and protect us from the radicals overseas, all the people protesting today, they're going to be thankful. judge jeanine: you're a, did will they ever be happy, dennis? will they ever be grateful? give him credit. forget happy. >> the country is going through a paroxysm -- judge jeanine: a what? >> a shake-up how people feel about politics. a realignment. people have difficulty with the results of the election, it's a slow, it's going to take a while to work it out. >> and the democratic party has a base that is very, very left-wing. it's working class roots, and the working class democrats are moving over and let the whackos have the democratic party and they can run it. judge jeanine: is the two-party system dead?
6:36 pm
>> no, but the types of voters aligning with each party is changing. >> donald trump addressed the issue of the fact that political parties have broken down. judge jeanine: yes, i think they have. >> you ask about the two-party system, i say it's a great idea. we ought to have it, but we don't. it's a one party system. >> almost dominate as socialists, and we nominate somebody who hasn't been a republican for not that long. judge jeanine: we nominate somebody who was such an outsider and never worked in the government. i think it is a new horizon. >> and we need to find ways to bring the country together. judge jeanine: donald trump didn't divide the country. quick, ten seconds. >> he and i agree on a lot of this. i don't know if that's frightening. >> it's a good thing! thank you so much. this week amid all the festivities in washington, i ran into the man behind hillary's america, if you've seen it you can imagine d'souza
6:37 pm
is one happy camper right now. take a look. >> hillary's america, you had a big role to play in this, big night, we're in d.c., how do you feel? >> i am relieved we're not living in hillary's america. i think the country's been given a second chance. this is not just inauguration, it is historic because everything was at stake, all three branches of government. and i can't tell you, the exhilaration, the relief they felt on election day has not subsided. judge jeanine: you had a huge role in this, in actually exposing what was going on? >> the left dominates academia, hollywood, the media and putting out a false narrative about the democratic party and playing the race card against republicans and conservatives taking all the bad things they did and blaming them on us. our movie raises the curtain on all of that and weakens the power of that argument. i'm thrilled if it played a role in the election, i'm excited about.
6:38 pm
that i love the country and so glad our movie played a small role in that. judge jeanine: next, the mystery man i ran into in washington. and if you are a regular viewer, you should recognize him. right away. plus president trump and faith based voters. how does he make sure to keep their support in the early days? pastor robert jeffress is live next. - 83% try to eat healthy. yet up 90% fall short in getting key nutrients from food alone. let's do more. add one a day women's complete with key nutrients we may need. plus it supports bone health with calcium and vitamin d. one a day women's in gummies and tablets.

6:43 pm
comfortably than ever? >> absolutely! i lost my voice, i'm sorry. judge jeanine: why have you lost my voice? >> i was hollering and screaming all day. judge jeanine: you are excited that donald is the president. >> very excited. judge jeanine: and for all those people who have your pillows including me and my mother, let us say thank you, my pillow! >> thank you, my pillow! >> thanks, everybody! [cheers] . judge jeanine: that was me with my pillow founder mike lindell. just the other day here in washington. mean time, the religious right was a huge help in getting president trump elected. how does it keep him happy now? joining me is pastor robert jeffress. pastor, thanks for being with us tonight. now, i want to quickly ask you a question about the inaugural speech. i counted several references to god, more than just specific references, there were some
6:44 pm
implied references to the hand of god, to the creator, am i right about that? >> i think you're exactly right about that, judge. and look, i've gotten to know donald trump over the last two years and people asked me about his faith, and i never share my personal interactions with the president, but i can tell you that his faith is very real, it's very important to him, but it's also very personal to him, and i think one of the great ironies of history, judge, is going to be that a secular billionaire from new york named donald j. trump may turn out to be the most faith friendly president in history. and you got a taste of it in the inaugural prayer. judge jeanine: very, very interesting, and you know, the truth though, pastor is that so many groups, whether it's conservative christians or any other group that is an interested group, they tend to get marginalized, once a politician gets elected.
6:45 pm
