coming into our country, and if he can handle it, and maybe they can and maybe they can or maybe he needs help, he seemed very willing to get help from us because he has got a problem and it's a real problem for us. >> bill: president nieto of mexico was open to the possibility of u.s. forces helping him combat the drug cartels. >> president trump: i would rather, as a very nice man and he is and somebody respect, i would rather have him respond to that. i certainly offered him help on knocking out the drug cartels because we have got a problem. those cartels are operating in our country, and they are poisoning the youth of our country. by the way, countries all over the work, just so you understand, this is a cartel all over the world, the cartels. i certainly would help him if he needed the help here >> tucker: at this point, do you consider mexico a corrupt country? the stuff has been going on for

decades. his mexico corrupt. >> president trump: it certainly has done well with us. we have a trade deficit with mexico of $60 billion a year. that doesn't include drugs, and it doesn't include the border and all the things that are happening on the border. it is a country that i have great respect for the people. i love the people. i really like this administration. i think he is a good man. we get along very well. they have problems controlling aspects of their country. there is no question about it. i would say that drugs and the cartels number one. >> bill: heavy founded back to get out what kind of tariff to play for the wall? 's? >> president trump: when i have to do that. they might want to negotiate a deal. we will see what happens. we can always do a tariff or a tax if necessary, and we will do that if necessary. i think we can make a deal. i am going to put another f in

i have no idea. >> bill: he is a killer though. put in a killer. >> president trump: there are a lot of killers. do you think our country is so innocent? >> bill: i don't know of any government leaders that are killers in america. >> president trump: take a look at what you have done too. we've made a lot of mistakes. i been against the war in iraq from the beginning. a lot of people were killed. a lot of killers around, believe me. >> bill: you mentioned isis. can we expect, we the american people, more u.s. military action against isis? >> president trump: i hate to be evasive, but i don't like talking openly about it. i can say this, isis is bad. if they are evil. they cut off heads of christians and muslims and anybody else that gets in their way. they drown people in a steel cages. this is not since the medieval times that anything has happened like this. the previous administration allowed to happen because we

shouldn't have been in iraq, but we shouldn't have gotten out the way we got out. it created a vacuum, isis was formed. i was to take the oil. if they would've taken the oil there should have been no isis. >> bill: if you took the oil, you would have to put in u.s. troops to do that, and in that would've started another round of it. >> president trump: all of that. forget that. >> bill: let's turn to domestic policy. when can americans expect the tax cuts? this year? >> president trump: we are working right now on the health care package. it is moving along very well. we are trying to get our person dr. tom price approved, as you know, the democrats are being purely political reasons. >> bill: let me get you on the record here. 2017, can americans expect a tax cut? >> president trump: i think so, yes. before the end of the year, i would like to say yes. >> bill: can americans in 2017 expect a new health care plan

>> bill: continuing now with our story with president trump at the white house last friday. stated the talk is making headlines all over the world. here is part two. this is a fascinating story. i just spent the week in california, as you know. they are now voting on whether they should become a sanctuary state. a state of california, led by governor jerry brown is defined you, absolutely defined the president of the united states. california and in the usa are on a collision course. how do you see it? >> president trump: it is a ridiculous century cities as you know. i am very much opposed to sanctuary cities. they break crime, there's lots of problems, are you very well with kate and all of the other people you talk about on the show. i will tell you that sanctuary

cities -- they got a lot of problems, and if there is tremendous crime. a lot of people agree with me. this was a campaign issue. at this moment just brought up now. california is out of control in many ways, as you know. from an economic standpoint, people are leaving california and going to texas and other places that run in a different manner, but we will see what happens. we will certainly not stand for sanctuary even cities, let alone sage. >> bill: you mentioned kate's lock. why do you think the party opposes kits are? >> president trump: there are very things that are logical that the democrats don't agree with. >> bill: you didn't answer my question. why do the democrats oppose, oppose, protecting americans from violent foreign criminals? >> president trump: they think that is their voter. >> bill: you know it is fascinating to watch you at the inauguration with obama. you guys seem to get a loan.

felt was a little bit surprised but i fully understand, i can't tell it. not for any other reason then i don't think he would mind if i said it, but i don't want to let that particular place know that that's the way he or i feel. we had a great -- it was a great inauguration. i loved every minute of it, and i got along with him. in fact, people were sort of surprised. i finished, turned around, he was smiling, i was smiling. >> bill: here's what was more fascinating. right after you guys and praised, shook hands, all of that, you gave a speech. your speech excoriated him. he basically took his administration apart, and he is sitting 5 feet away from you. in your mind, did you say, how is he reacting to this speech? >> president trump: i am an honest person, and of the country has a very deep-seated problems. we have to do something about

it's >> bill: reactions to our interview with the president joining us in washington, charles krauthammer. what caught your eye tonight, charles? >> well, the best news was the news out of moscow. that you are now on their hit list, and at that demand a apology. i understand you are working on your russian, that's what i've been told. look, the obviously headline is when everyone caught, which was his reaction to your saying that putin is a killer. i want to ask you, how did you feel when he gave the answer? >> bill: i am a little nervous here. i am on the hit list? did you get confirmation that an assassin will be following me home tonight? i just want to be prepared. >> martha: ? >> as you know, the man is a killer. if there's guy right now who is a campaigner for free elections in russia who is in a coma, organ failure, reportedly, i think this is sort of understood

opinion is a showdown between california and the federal government. there is no question in my mind that california is going to lose billions of dollars if it continues on the sanctuary city path. he said it very clearly, and i don't think he is backing away. that is an enormous story for the big estate in the union. is it not? >> it is a big story, but it's been triggered by the governor. the president has made it very clear from the campaign on the if you are a sanctuary anything, we are going to cut you off. there's a lot of support in the country because this is the language of states rights, this is the language we heard in segregation of the self, the language called interposition, which was essentially a repudiation of the federal authorities. i think this is something that he has great support for. if the governor of that state wants to expand the jurisdiction

trump's executive order, temporally stopping the refugees and immigrants from stopping coming into the essay. he is a republican. he has made some controversial statements in the past and do some work with refugees. joining us now from seattle, john, you're served as u.s. attorney. you note judge robards very well. tell me about him. >> i do. he is a highly regarded knight judge here in seattle, conservative in the way the he looks at the wall very thorough, very soft-spoken he wears a bow tie, but a lot of us know him just as he's comfortable out and some waiters fishing for salmon. >> bill: very regular guy. it's widely believed that his order will be overturned because the president does have the law on its side with national security, and that's the way it's going to be appealed by the justice department. do you believe in that?

>> i don't think it's entirely clear. judge robart's order doesn't list the legal basis for his decision, only that the state of washington and of the state of minnesota are going to, and his, prevail on the mirror. that will be a question for the ninth circuit court of appeals and ultimately the supreme court. >> bill: is a consistence that the president will be able to walk down those seven countries in syria for national security reasons, but that again is speculation. in the past, judge robart has worked with refugees in southeast asia. do you know anything about that? >> before he went on the bench, i think more than ten years ago, he was well known here in seattle for -- as a private lawyer representing people who couldn't afford a lawyer, pro bono work for low income people. i am not familiar with his work with refugees, but he is very well-known for the fact that he volunteer his time while working for corporate clients like norstrom and tim burton

companies. he represented low income people. among them would be immigrants. >> bill: also, he was involved with the seattle police department and charges of brutality against minorities. he invoked black lives matter, which raised a lot of eyebrows because that's a radical left group. >> he did raise people's eyebrows, but he said immediately following that, that the lives of police officers matter very much as well. he seen as a straight up, straight shooter, conservative, but courageous judge here. >> bill: councilmen, we appreciate your point of view. thank you very much. thank you for watching and tracking this illegal business. if we do expect the president to prevail on this issue.
