"the five" ." the majority of people arrested in last week's immigration raids were criminals. in six counties in california, of 160 arrested, 150 had committed crimes, including violent assault and child sex offenses. >> we are a generous and welcoming people here in the united states. those who enter the country illegally and those who employ them disrespect the rule of law.

we simply cannot allow people to pour into the united states undetected, undocumented, unchecked. >> greg: oops. sorry about that. our president on the recent immigration raids. >> will try to do more to speed the deportation of illegal aliens arrested for crimes to better identify illegal aliens in the workplace. we are a nation of immigrants, but we are also a nation of laws. >> greg: my fault. all right, third time's a charm. stick on the home front, we have to grade borders. we have to let people that can love our country in, and i want to do that, but we cannot let the wrong people in, and i will not allow that to happen during this administration. and people, citizens of our country, want that, and that's our attitude too. >> greg: funny how all of these chaps sound exactly like get the media pretends

otherwise, detecting the recent raids as unique only to president trump but they aren't. they also depict these raids as a tax on all innocent immigrants, which they aren't. 95% were male, mostly criminals pray these were not 6-year-old girls collecting teddy bears. it raises the question, what were they people doing before they were arrested? are these the folks liberal lawmakers try to protect? if not, why get stop that when they are caught. what b.s. when clinton or obama did it, it's fine but underground, it's evil. but it's not. security for all as a moral virtue that require sensible measures. it is no injustice to target fugitive criminals. it's official simply doing their jobs. if the left doesn't want i.c.e. doing this, what do they want? should we invite the world to empty their jails into the u.s.? if he left either way, the whole country would be a halfway house for the planets felons. and orange would be the new red,

white, and blue. dana. 15 out of 16 captured have records of some kind. it's not perfect but when you are making an omelette, what do they say? >> dana: you've got to break eggs. okay. these raids aren't new, as you pointed out, but i remember when president bush had i.c.e. do operations. the press was tough, especially i remember one person from a meatpacking plant in the midwest. you had stories about children who weren't picked up from daycare and they were left. this actually seemed to be very targeted at the criminals. but the republicans seem to always get a tougher stance in the press then liberals. when president obama did it it was like wow, he is the law & order president. isn't he amazing? if it's a republican, then they are able -- they are evil.

show the crimes committed or the injustices performed by the illegal immigrants. >> kimberly: absolutely not. the emotional, liberal blinders on. if president obama said it, it is raining from heaven, glorious words of wisdom but if president trump says it, it must be mean-spirited, highly illegal, must be something that we protest and put our hats on about. if you look at this in particular, 75% had prior felony convictions. who is trying to give a free pass to the criminals? do you want them to reoffend? no. they need to go. i dealt with these people over and over again. instead of having a case file like this, it was like this and from people refusing to use their true name, protected by sanctuary cities, criminal recidivists. these people are supposed to be deported permanently. stay out. we do not have an obligation to

"obama administration kicks off family deportation." did you ever hear about that? >> bob: if you listen around this table when i was here before, you would hear there were no deportations. the largest number of criminals arrested in one week, 2,000, the obama administration. this was an obama administration initiative. obama had gotten rid of more criminals in a shorter period of time than anybody else. >> eric: let me clarify what i did say. president obama deportation numbers were different fm every other presidents deportation numbers. if someone was caught in the border, under president obama, told to go back. we caught you. you are on american land bird go back and go home.

way and they came back again and they were caught again. >> bob: convict them in a court of law, where do you put them? >> eric: you send them back and they can't come back. under immigration reform law, you can say you come back a certain amount of times, you go to jail. >> bob: they are going to come e back. >> kimberly: they were allowed back in. that's different. >> eric: my point is that everybody is agreeing obama did this get the media is acting like it's never happened before. >> greg: to me, that's the crime. the media is acting like president trump came in and rounded up people, never been done before. you even agreed obama did this all the time. >> kimberly: except they were allowed back in. >> bob: allowed? they snuck back in. who was president when that kid, that terrible picture of that kid. >> dana: bill clinton.

>> many, many problems. a lot of people have no idea how bad they are, how serious they are. not only internationally but right here. obviously north korea is a big, big problem. we will deal with that very strongly. we have problems all over the middle east. we have problems just about every corner of the globe, no matter where you look. >> dana: mr. trump defended his travel ban once again. >> we want to have a big, beautiful open door and we want people to come in and come in our country but we cannot let the wrong people end, and i will not allow that to happen during this administration. we are getting such praise for our stance, and it's a stance of common sense. we are going to pursue it vigorously, and we don't want to have our country have the kinds of problems that you are witnessing taking place not only here but all over the world.

understand that we're going to have different standards than you are, and we have to make sure that even the tiniest percentage from the 50,000, five people, could pull off five attacks. >> dana: this surprised me. in their public comments, they didn't talk about climate change and that is one of trudeau's big things. >> eric: there were a couple noteworthy things during the press conference. there was a moment, i think a canadian reporter asked the question about the northern border, and i was waiting to see what his response was going to be, president trump. he stood firm and he said no border is truly secure. everything is on the table. that was important because as you know, as greg points out, canada is a far more lenient immigration policy with refugees. it's a concern and may be a concern down the road. on foreign policy, you set up a little bit of that with sound from saturday night when north korea tested the ballistic

missile. i think the trump administration needs to get very asian policy down pat right now because remember the phone call he had with the taiwanese president which conflicted with his "one china" policy. and then you have japan whose concern about north korea. china may like the fact north korea is saber rattling. they need to focus and, i would hope it would be there next not just meeting but come up with this is where we are in our asian policy. >> bob: i thought it was interesting too because what he also said were going to do this very, very soon. trying to figure out how to deal with north korea. our supreme leader, trump, thinks he can do it. i think the answer is the only way you can stop this, unless you get china to stop supporting them with which they will not do. you have to take military action. does anyone want that? artillery pointed at south kore

south korea. >> eric: they have 20 warheads. >> bob: i'm not talking about nuclear. i am talking about artillery. >> dana: the bigger picture, i think one of the things people could take comfort in and the last three weeks is that president trump, after several meetings, is able to pick up the phone. he can call theresa may, the prime minister of the u.k. shinzo abe, they had a great meeting, and now justin trudeau. i think they recognize they aren't always going to agree on policy but they are on a face-to-face basis. they can call each other up and have some kind of relationship. >> kimberly: important to develop those relationships one-on-one. make it difficult to have a conversation when you're not listening. do you have the sound on the travel ban? >> dana: i don't believe i do. >> greg: let's act it out. >> kimberly: greg, are you

willing? read your alliance. you're going to be the syrian refugee. here's what happened. on saturday, a 39-year-old syrian refugee was arrested in canada on six counts of sexual assault, molesting young girls at a water park. he is getting pushback on that because of the open borders policy. when you look at this, the juxtaposition to president trump, the travel ban right now where he is catching a lot of grief, it's these exact situations and circumstances where you have a high influx of people we are improperly able to vet. you have to make certain who is coming in. you want to be compassionate but balance it with the interests of public safety and national security. it is perfect positioning with the leaders meeting. >> bob: that was well said. we could talk more about this in

war. the democrats and so many americans are united in opposing trump and where he's going that i think overall it's an extremely positive thing. >> kimberly: dana, what do you make of the messaging? >> dana: i think he's hoping this is true because as we were saying, the democrats are in the wilderness. which direction do they go? they had decided. they could have triangulated and picked up a couple republicans to help support some of the things they want to do or gone around the republicans and went straight to the president said we've got a deal for you. we will make the republicans look back. bad. both the white house and democrats on capitol hill decided there's not going to be a lot of conversation at least at the moment. i think chuck schumer is buoyed by the idea that the left could actually do what the war right trying to do. obamacare still past and the results people are dealing with

in terms of obamacare and i don't think the democrats should be blind to that. they lost three elections in a row, two midterms in the main one in 2016. basically because of obamacare. there are changes that need to be made. doesn't seem like chuck schumer is willing to come to the table at all. i >> kimberly: what i am hearing from you is that they are lacking a comprehensive, core strategy to be able to advance the ball. >> greg: they have the chance and the signs. organization, sponsored by the same people from the same place places. cnn today hearkens back to the tea party. this could be like the tea party. i remember them marginalizing and mocking the tea party. now the tea party is an awesome, inspirational movement because they are finding the left-wing equivalent. the only way this is going to work as if the party gets away from the grievance, identity

activism, and hate and starts moving towards jim webb, not jim jones. >> kimberly: eric, the democrats, lost in the wilderness, no compass. basically are not even effectively putting across our messaging to make it sound or appear like they even have a plan. >> eric: schumer was out in front, as well as nancy pelosi and harry reid on trashing the tea party demonstrations. those were organic, grassroots town hall demonstrations. "fox & friends" had a couple examples of newspaper ads showing here, we will teach you how to protest. show you where to go. the tea party was in response in 2010, they flipped the house, in response to obamacare passing with zero republican votes and passing something no one on the right light. it was a natural response to an

overbearing government program that no one liked. we will see. if this is legit, if they don't like what donald trump brings to as a replacement, they may be right and they may have something. as of right now, to take something, to change something, isn't really as outrageous as passing something that no one on your side like that all. >> bob: being opposed to trump's agenda, but he doesn't have one. i think he's a long way away from it. also, the idea that the selection on obamacare, there is no evidence at all that trump won because of obamacare. he won because of a good message who appealed to people who had been left out. >> eric: obamacare premiums skyrocketed before the elections. >> bob: you look at every exit poll and the latest pew research poll and nobody but nobody.

vice president pence saying definitively national security advisor mike flynn hadn't discussed sanctions with russia's ambassador. flynn now says sanctions may have come up in talks. doesn't appear the general's job is in jeopardy. the white house says he's apologized for telling him sanctions weren't discussed and mr. pence has accepted has a policy. the white house press secretary says the president is what -- evaluating flynn's future which is a good sign that flynn's future has been decided. >> bob: not according to charles krauthammer. >> bob: what did he say? >> kimberly: he said he committed no crime and the problem is he should not have lied or been untruthful about it. if, in fact, he did but that he was about to become the head of the nsa and therefore, the advisor, and therefore he should

wait and see what the president decides. there is frustration from the white house from a communication standpoint that a lot of the good stuff they are doing, the meetings, the policies are not getting the coverage and attention they should. one of the problems is even this afternoon within the last two hours, you had two different answers about the president's confidence in mike flynn. two hours ago he had the full confidence and 45 minutes after that, press secretary said that the president is going to continue to evaluate. i don't know what's accurate? i can imagine the vice president is frustrated but i know mike pence is the kind of guy who would forgive and try to move on. it's not an easy thing in the white house when you have that situation because it bogs everything down. >> bob: does flynn make it or not? >> greg: i don't know. everybody wants transparency and that's the amazing truth about the white house. they are really bad at hiding their mistakes because they aren't politicians.
