i haven't heard anybody say a bad word about it. he grew up in iran before the revolution, before the crazy took over and the also persian people were friends of his. i think that's vital when we look at the fact that iran is one of the major enemies we face. they are resurgent because of president obama's failed deal and we are going to have to take care of them, he's a good man to understand why the iranian people deserve better leadership than they have. heather: he has close ties with general mattis. how would that benefit and what can you tell us about that? >> our national security apparatus is broad and complicated, it is difficult to operate, right now if you look at three of the major places where leadership is needed, you have general mattis, the department of defense, general kelly who also served as mattis' deputies in the marines and you have admiral harward, they know each other, they have done the

inner agency planning and able to operate security effectively. abby: they describe him as being easy going but mission focused. i like that. >> there is. there's no need for military people to be hard core but not friendly, you can actually do the job and still be a person that can get along with other people and that's something that's going to be necessary when you're trying to get all of these agencies working together. i think he's going to be able to bring that to the table. heather: what about in terms of following some of the mission plans, ideas that flynn had put forward and would he be beneficial in that area as well. i know that you mentioned iran? >> well, here is the thing. there's been a lot of planning and work done and ideas in place and people in place to do those ideas. i hear some talk from some of the never-trumpers and some of the people who think that everything trump has been doing is wrong, i hope it's not a house-cleaning where he goes in
