7:00 pm
developing story throughout the night. >> ed: that's about it for us tonight, tune in each night at nine to the show a clock that is the sworn enemy of lying, pomposity, smugness and groupthink. sean hannity is next. >> sean: welcome to "hannity," we are coming to you tonight from our nation's capital, tonight, speaker of the house paul ryan and is really prime minister benjamin netanyahu will both join us but first, and a must see epic beat down, president donald trump called out the extremely dishonest propaganda media and that is tonight's opening monologue. so, last night we explained in great, great detail about how the abusively biased left-wing press is doing you, the american people such a great disservice by not telling you the truth, by having an agenda and in turn, they have created what i called last night a massive informational crisis.
7:01 pm
today after endless attacks from the alt left propaganda media, president trump's now fighting back and setting the record straight. >> i making this directly to the american people, it is an honor to have you. many of our nations reporters and folks will not tell you the truth. and will not treat the wonderful people of our country with the respect they deserve, the press has become so dishonest that if we do not talk about it, we are doing a tremendous disservice to the american people. a tremendous disservice, we have to talk about it. because the press honestly is out of control. the level of dishonesty is out of control. i will tell you something, i will be honest because i sort of enjoy this enjoy this back-and-forth and i guess i have all my life but i've never seen more dishonest media then frankly of the political media.
7:02 pm
i thought the financial media was much more honest. there is nobody i have more respect for -- maybe a little -- and good reporters. it is very important to me. especially in this position. it's very important. i do not mind bad stories. i can handle a bad story better than anybody. as long as it is true. over a course of time i will make mistakes, and i am okay with that. i am not okay when it is fake. i think it should be straight, i think it would be frankly more interesting. i know how good everybody's ratings are but i think they would actually be better. you have a lower approval rating there in congress, i think that is right. is that one right? i heard, lower than congress. the public -- they read newspapers and see television. they do not know if it is true or false because they are not involved. i am involved, i have been
7:03 pm
involved with the stuff on my life. i know when you are telling the truth and when you are not. i just see many, many untruthful things. i see tone -- you know, the word tone. the tone, such hatred. i'm really not a bad person, by the way. the tone -- i do get good ratings, you have to admit that. the tone is such hatred. >> ed: >> sean: he did not stop there, he talked about the massive mess he is inherited and what he's doing to fix it. >> i inherited a mess. it is a mess. at home and abroad. a mess. jobs are pouring out of the country, you see what is going on with all of the companies leaving our country and going to mexico and other places. low pay, low wages, mass instability overseas. no matter where you look, the middle east is a disaster.
7:04 pm
north korea, we will take care of it, i just wanted to let you know. i inherited a mess. we began repairing and repealing obamacare, it is a disaster for us. jobs have already started to surge since my election, ford announced it will abandon its plans to build a new factory in mexico and will instead invest $700 million in michigan, creating many, many jobs. one more thing, i have kept my promise to the american people by nominating a justice of the united states supreme court, judge neil gorsuch. >> sean: speaking about michael flynn's resignation and the leaks coming from the bureaucracy. the big problem. >> mike flynn is a fine person. i asked for his resignation, he respectfully gave it.
7:05 pm
he is a man who -- there is a certain amount of information given to the vice president, mike pence who is here today. i was not happy with the way that information was given. he did not have to do that because what he did wasn't wrong, what he did in terms of the information he saw, what was wrong was the way that other people -- including yourselves in this room were given the information. because i was classified information, it was given illegally. that was a real problem. you can talk all you want about russia, which was all fake news, a fabricated deal to try to make up for the loss of the democrats. the press plays right into it. how did they get this information that is classified? it is an illegal process and the press should be ashamed of themselves. more importantly, the people they gave out the information to the press should be ashamed of
7:06 pm
themselves. >> sean: president trump also addressed russia after fake new news, she insinuated that he may have direct ties to the country. >> the failing "new york times" wrote a big piece, it was very much discredited as you know. it is a joke. the people mentioned this story, i noticed they were on television today saying they never even spoke to russia. the three people that they talked about, all totally deny it and i can tell you, speaking for myself -- i own nothing in russia. i have no loans in russia. i do not have any deals in russia. president putin called me up very nicely to congratulate me on the win of the election, he then called me up extremely nicely to congratulate me on the inauguration, which was terrific. so did many other leaders, almost all of the leaders from almost all other countries.
7:07 pm
russia is fake news. this is fake news put out by the media. the whole russian thing, that is a ruse. that is a ruse. by the way, it would be great if we could get along with russia. just to understand that. hillary clinton did a reset with that stupid plastic button that made us all look like a bunch of jerks, he looked at her like what what what the is she doin? she's had a lot of presidents, look where we are now. >> sean: finally, while his temporary travel ban is being held up by the most liberal court in the country, the ninth circuit court of appeals, senate president made a very big news about issuing a new executive order about keeping you, the american people, safe. >> we will be issuing a new and very comprehensive order to protect our people.
7:08 pm
that will be done sometimes toward the next week. as far as the new order it will be very much tailored to what i considered to be a very bad decision but we can tailor the order and get just about everything and in some ways more but we are tailoring it now to the decision. we have some of the best lawyers in the country working on it. the new executive order is being tailored to the decision we got down from the court. >> sean: all i can say is wow. what we saw today was a historic beat down of the alt left propaganda media and they had it coming. we have been showing you example after example of the press purposefully distorting the president's plans and his agenda. it is very refreshing to see commander in chief who will fight back against the dishonesty smears, and set the record straight with you. coming up next, right here on
7:09 pm

7:16 pm
about 2012. what he did was mix up the constituency, the vote coalition, he spoke to people that felt like they hadn't been spoken to in years. he tapped into that and that is something that most people did not see. that something i said the next day, bravo. very impressed. >> sean: how is the relationship now? >> it's great, really good actually. i didn't know him, he didn't know me. we met basically wants. we speak constantly. we talk all the time, we are working on the same plan. we put together a 200 day plan for the president to get this agenda that we all have agreed on through the system. we are exactly on track and on our timeline without agenda. >> sean: that's the biggest part of what i wanted to discuss. with go through what donald trump has done. he started executive orders, the burden of obamacare.

7:18 pm
people want to know, when will things get better? >> we are are exactly on the timeline that we set for ourselves. her bill is coming in march. the reason we are doing regulatory reform right now is we have a certain window of time where we can go back into the obama administration and cancel the regulations. it has a's shelflife or just a couple months. we have been consuming, february and march going back into the obama administration and canceling the regulations and so first it is regulatory because we have this window of time to cancel that obama regulations and then we are doing obamacare. after we're done with that, we are doing our budget. our budget -- the second but 'sx reform. this has never been done before. it's faster than it's ever been done before. there is a legislative process. we've all of these things we ran on, we are now in the middle of doing those things and january
7:19 pm
and february is the regulatory stuff because the clock on the ability to go after obama regulations ends soon. >> sean: here's the big question, the president ran on an agenda. he said he tapped into something that other people missed. we have 13 million more americans on food stamps, 8 million more on poverty. lowest tone ownership rate, donald trump says he will build a wall, replace obamacare, vet refugees, make america energy independent, seven brackets to three, 15%, allowed repatriatio repatriation, he runs on education back to the states. building up our military, this is the question that i think conservatives and americans -- the forgotten man election, i heard everything from obamacare will be done they daily 1.

it's been all over the map, just from other people. >> it has a bent not been overe map for me. it has on the rumor mills but not for us. that is not the plan. the plan is to repeal and replace the slot like we said. we ran on a plan. tom price helped write that pla plan. >> sean: it's now a consensus plan? here's my question, i just listed my agenda of what he ran on for the forgotten man. >> that's the agenda we are working on right now, that's the definition. >> sean: is there an item that you disagree with? you are saying to the american people and conservatives that are inpatient -- including myself -- and you heard my monologue -- >> sean: getting congress to

the benefits of the iran deal is that it brought you and your arab neighbors together. my read on this is that israel now has a stronger relationship with united states, to be a strong relationship with great britain that also jordan, egypt, may be the emirates, maybe saudi arabia, that has never existed before. is that true? >> i think there is a change, change is coming because of the rise of radical islam. radical islamists have the radical sunnis led by isis, before that led by al qaeda and the shiites, led by iran. we look around and say who is going to help us against these twin threats? there's one country in the region that is powerful, resolved to fight this, and

it is more than that. they believe that they are destined to govern the world, anyone who does not agree with them, they will kill. they are working on the means to achieve that. their greatest enemy they think is the united states. they think everyone else is a derivative. they are developing the capacity to deliver on their slogans, death to america, we have a grand mission. it is not a mission that we invent. we did not invent these icbms. we did not invent their nuclear programming. we do not invent the terrorists that they send throughout the middle east and the world. iran has a terror network of dozens and dozens of countries. they operate with their own operatives and instruments. >> sean: they have been fighting proxy wars for decades. >> terrorists themselves, they are building, planning,

jerusalem is a settlement. we have to get rid of everything, that's what they think. some normalization in the arab world could help begin to change attitudes there. even if we did, i think they would have to come and recognize the jewish state. you want peace? the first thing is you have to get rid of the thing that prevents peace. the thing that prevents peace is the persistent refusal to recognize the right of the jewish people for a state of their own. >> sean: it's been preconditioned, they don't recognize it -- >> if you want to end the conflict, that is a prerequisite for peace. >> sean: it's interesting, the prime minister and i spoke off-camera and he was telling me how his wife sarah, the first lady, melania trump, they had a great time and a great relationship. welcome us things have changed a lot. coming up next, tonight on "hannity"... >> we have had productive topics with many foreign leaders to

and your medicare. you made a deal a long time ago." now, it's congress' turn. tell them to protect medicare. hi, i'm frank. i take movantik for oic, opioid-induced constipation. had a bad back injury, my doctor prescribed opioids which helped with the chronic pain, but backed me up big-time. tried prunes, laxatives, still constipated... had to talk to my doctor. she said, "how long you been holding this in?" (laughs) that was my movantik moment. my doctor told me that movantik is specifically designed for oic and can help you go more often. don't take movantik if you have a bowel blockage or a history of them. movantik may cause serious side effects, including symptoms of opioid withdrawal, severe stomach pain and/or diarrhea, and tears in the stomach or intestine. tell your doctor about any side effects and about medicines you take. movantik may interact with them causing side effects.
