enemy has been the press towards him. there has been the sense coming from the mainstream media that they have distorted his views and being critical of his policies of who he is as a person, of trying to delegitimize his presidency and they've given a lot of room to the democrats to be critical of donald trump. i do think he has a point of saying, look, the press has been very critical. ic i would have used the word opponent rather than enemy. he has very strong feelings of the fact that he feels he has not been treated fairly by the press. heather: if you take a look at social media and he's not alone in feeling this way. the majority of the american people feel this way too. when you take a look at the fox news poll and i will get you to respond compared to president obama has the media been tougher on trump, f 8%, easier, 18 and the same 8%. is president trump right?

>> i don't think you can judge trump with all the other presidents, everybody knew president trump so well. everybody saw him on tv, you know what, he got more coverage than any other candidate in the history of politics whr it was good or bad and there has been biases on both sides, i think our press, i think the people who cover politics in country has to be fair and balance. that's a great way to put it. you to be able to say what the facts are. i think that's the key. >> chuck, come on, seriously, when you say fair and balance that's fine. when you look at the liberal press and mainstream media and when you read into the article, it's a one-sided agenda and it's been clear from the election on that to them president trump was unacceptable, that, i think, the fact when you look at the stories and many times some of these reporters have moved on the stories, moved forward without verifying their sources or just quite frankly -- heather: when you listen to the

questions in some of the press gaggles, the question itself that's thrown at president trump is so pointed and in an effort to -- it sounds from the very beginning that they are trying to get him, chuck. >> we try to do our politics in a box and have the status quo and this is the way presidents are supposed to be and here is is the way they are supposed to act and there's a certain continuity and the press has never seen anything like donald trump. history will tell whether that's really, really good or really, really bad. >> what's the deal, chuck? the press can't ask fair questions? heather: mercedes, he's showing that he doesn't necessarily need the press because he's going out straight to the public, so does some of the media have a problem with that? >> well, you know, i think obviously they feel -- i could see them feeling a sense of frustration.
