>> i'm eric bolling with kimberly guilfoyle, bob boling, dana perino. this is "the five" ." we have breaking news from mar-a-lago. president trump may be new national security advisor to replace general michael flynn who asked to resign last week. he also named a chief of staff for his national security team. >> president trump: general h.r. mcmaster will become the national security advisor. he's a man of tremendous talent and tremendous experience. he is highly respectedhe milita.

money, as does comrade trump. >> eric: can we stop with it? >> bob: no. >> eric: for right now? >> bob: okay, for you, right now. >> eric: one show at a time. >> bob: the real question is, i'm interested in what happens with mattis. the adults on the foreign policy team, the defense team, who were cut out of strategic issues like the one state solution. now you have tillerson of the group of 20 and trump's train -- trying to repair the damage trump did nato. it's difficult to imagine how these guys are going to do under trump. depends on how well the president organizes himself and from what we've seen this is probably the most disorganized presidency. >> eric: a good place to start with someone who graduated

2:06 pm
the first was terror and security. he told americans he has a plan to keep terrorists out. >> president trump: i've taken decisive action to keep radical islamic terrorists the hell out of our country. the president has the right to keep people out if he feels is not of the best interest of our country. we will do something next week. i think you'll be impressed. let's see what happens may the bottom line is we've got to keep our country safe. you look at what's happening. we've got to keep our country safe. >> eric: he was relaxed, comfortable. back on the stage firing up a crowd of 10,000 or so. he's probably been hurting hol. >> bob: let me go back to comrade. >> eric: you agreed to a whole day. >> bob: if you have to sit where i sit and listen to what you guys called obama, i think

2:08 pm
the end of the first week, they've been having to deal with that for three to four weeks. now we are hearing the final document is being put together and there's going to be more scrutiny on its parade but i think there needs to be on it -- the commander-in-chief is responsible for the protection e country. i think congress will have a chance to weigh in. the courts may have to weigh in but nobody knows the responsibility except for president trump because he hears the briefings. he knows what the threats are and i think that has to be some deference within the law to allow him to do what he needs to do to protect us. >> eric: kimberly, i was watching the speech and they said he did really well. he was very comfortable. he was in his element. more so than, i thought, even the press conference he had with the media or any other time in the last month or so. this is where he thrives.
2:09 pm
>> kimberly: he's relying on himself to be the messenger and connect with people because he's comfortable doing that. that's very familiar to him. he did it during the campaign. similar to what we saw during the presidential election and he pulled out the paper and read from the executive order to say i have the authority to do that. yes, i was surprised when the courts did not allow me to proceed forward. however, and we heard from general kelly as well, telling us of the president was going to be releasing a new executive order that is more streamlined and in keeping with the proper tenets of it so there wouldn't be this kind of controversy again. general kelly is in place now. >> eric: the same seven countries were targeted. remember the backlash saying this is a muslim ban? it's not. it's a region of origin where terrorist likely come from. as dana has pointed out in the past, where the government is virtually nonexistent.
2:10 pm
>> tom: helped that obama did list oh seven countries as well. this is the way you've got to do executive orders. everyone said he botched it. he issued the order too fast, hasty but i think it seems to have worked out preview issue it. everyone tells you what's wrong with it and you cross those things off and issue a day -- e it again. >> bob: green card holders have a right to come in. >> tom: looks like they are going to have an executive order. everything is all set. >> kimberly: too bad your team delayed his cabinet being put in place. >> bob: the guy in the head of the epa has sued the epa 14 times. >> eric: i like that kind of guy. >> bob: i'm sure you do. >> eric: probably 114 times. what better way to dismantle the epa regulations, what a better
