dhs more manpower and increased authority on the border with the focus of illegal aliens convicted of criminal offenses. the actions will include return of immigrants on the border. expedited deportation hearings. the hiring of 15,000 additional ice and border patrol agents and aggressive new measures targeting criminal aliens. parents, who pay to small their children across the border may also be prosecuted. the effort will target those who have unresolved charges. as well as those who have abused public benefit programs. now, t the white house is calling that a big immigration launch is not the revised executive order or travel ban that. we expect that may come any day it will target those same seven countries and have exemptions for visas, green card holders and dual citizens and not have automatic ban on syrian refugees. guys, the message is quite clear with this ache, the

president is cracking down on illegal immigration. if you are illegal alien with convicted criminal offense pass, you may be going home. all of this g mg coming on the heels of profits. i will be out monitoring for profitforprotests. brian: bring a helmet. steve: it's all about the president's authority and priorities. one of the things not included, remember that a.p. story from friday that said they were going to use 100,000 national guardsmen to round up people from 11 different states. that's not in this. that was labeled by the administration as fake news. brian: did not generate from them. also something else that i think is pretty important. they're not going to say tomorrow at midnight everybody has to go by this order 110%. there is going to be a little bit of ramp up time. and general kelly will have a chance to brief everyone at the borders at different countries and embassies to get them up to speed.

i think it would also be a good move to think this is anti-muslim put north korea in there. listen, do we want anyone traveling from north korea without being thoroughly screened? put that in there. let everyone realize. ainsley: only reason he decided on these seven countries that's what obama administration had suggested. it will be interesting to find out how the mainstream media handles this. i feel like it might be more of a compromise. now if you have a dual citizenship and green card or a visa to come in the country from one of those seven countries you are allowed in. brian: i want us fixers warren mattis, helped us translators already screened to come back here, they have got to be able to come back here. steve: excuse me, i had mentioned the a.p. thing which people in the administration refer to as fake news. everybody is talking about the president tweeting out fake news and how the media, the enemy of the american people.

i think maybe enemy of people on the political right might be more accurate or the opposition party. yesterday, given that the mainstream media pretty much said donald trump had declared war on the mainstream media and, in fact, you look at some of the things they have done recently, you just have to wonder are they being fair or are they leaning way to the left? ainsley: look at this tweet from nbc yesterday morning it says president trump reaches 32 days won't be the shortest u.s. president. referring to william henry harrison who was the president in 1841 who only served 32 days. he died of pneumonia. brian: great war hero. people are saying listen you need a balanced press. you need the press out there telling the story. it's an important part of democracy. that's true. however, what if the press has a point of view and is drilling that point of view to the american people? are they doing their job? ainsley: that's what bill o'reilly said last night.

brian: to me that doesn't seem like they are doing their job. they are inflicting their vision on the american people. and the american people are doing 0 million different things. ainsley: press overtly liberal. steve: we need adversarial press. because the press for the most part leans so far to the left they are not really objective. if you watched katy couric yesterday on. >> as we know since 2ebg been a couple dozen suspicious deaths of journalists in russia who came out against the government from there. donald trump has made no secret about going after journalists and his distaste for any news that doesn't agree with him here. do you find this is a dangerous path is he heading down? steve: so the president is going to go after people? i think that could have been a couple days ago. ainsley: basically saying, comparing president trump to vladimir putin. saying people have

mysteriously died in russia. so journalists who don't agree with him here could do i die? brian: she has been insinuating before. pointing back to the people they lie, they lie and everyone would start yell at her and she has gotten intimidated before. clearly, i don't think she was trying to redelay donald trump was going to have journalists killed like it's been alleged that vladimir putin has. steve: i will tell you what, brian, yesterday "the washington post margaret sullivan says she fears journalists will be hunted down. so in that same vein. brian: donald trump won't be behind it. she is not saying donald trump is going to be behind it. steve: i think she kind of insinuated that. ainsley: jake tapper, president trump has criticized him in the past. he said stop whining, he had that message for the president. it's interesting that journalists are supposed to be fair and balanced and supposed to tell both sides of the story not supposed to have a

this job he told the president have you got to pick this guy. staffers and staffers on mccain's side. almost everybody, including democrats are saying positive things about this move. >> very much so. general petraeus is part of the reason he got promoted to a one star in the first place after what he did in iraq because there was consternation about h.r. mcmaster willing to do it his way and change up the approach we were taking. right support from the right people which is a good stein. steve: no secret there have been scandals at the v.a. where people have died waiting for service. have you made it a personal crusade to talk about that. you have been talking about it for years. had you exclusive chance to sit down with the next guy who is got to try to fix that thing, right? >> that's right. i had an opportunity yesterday to sit down with the new v.a. secretary. only sixth day on the job david chulkin. not just me but "fox & friends" has covered the v.a. and how badly things need too change. first interview as secretary.

we sat down for long wide ranging interview we did yesterday. one of the things we talked about is how are you going to drain that swamp and take on institutions for so long have crippled the v.a.? here is a party of what the secretary had 20 say yesterday in our discussion. >> i have been in the swamp. i have been there. part of writing these bills. there is often many times strong bill and then when it meets the veterans groups or american federation of government unions or some the committees gets diluted down big time to the point where it really looks good and everyone gets to pat themselves on the back that they did something about accountability. it doesn't change the environment. what can you say to viewers that want to make sure you are committed to a real accountability bill. >> can you expect i'm going to be back in front of congress and saying this didn't work. the bottom line is the results. okay? and we're going to have to have a workforce that is committed to making sure that the right people are working there.

i think there is nothing demoralizing to the thousands and thousands of people who serve every day in the v.a. doing a fantastic job, very committed. i see it when i practice in the v.a. these are the best people in healthcare working in the v.a. but when you have one or two or three people that really aren't doing their job, they bring everybody down. and so the very best thing i know from my private sector experiences, you've got to deal with that you have got to get them out of the system. because it helps not only the veterans but it helps the people who work in the v.a. who are trying to do the right thing for veterans. pete: bob macdonald said how can you hire people here if they think they are going to be fired at a whim, at a moment's notice. your if you can't fire then you don't have a good culture. would you say you take a different position than secretary macdonald did who fought against a lot of these accountability bills? >> i think what i heard the secretary saying is it's very

important to have a due process. you don't want to arbitrarily fire people. but, i could be fired right now. half of our viewers could be fired when they walk into work tomorrow for not doing their job or not showing up. you have v.a. workers who sell cocaine or don't show up or view porn at work. it's not about due process. >> watch us. people who don't show up to work, who do cocaine, and are watching porn at work are going to be fired because i'm not going to tolerate it. they're going to be out of our system. and you watch our results there. but, remember, we're talking about the vast, vast majority of our employees are dedicated. they could be working anywhere in healthcare but they choose to work at the v.a. i'm going to support them and i'm going to stand behind them. pete: a lot of people fighting us have been whistleblowers. the reason we know about phoenix to begin with where the scandal started were whistle blowers. i'm in regular contact with them. i'm sure you have heard from them as well. secretary macdonald, the previous administration almost

this time around? here to weigh in on this is judge andrew napolitano. >> so what came out over the weekend over secretary kelly's signature is not any change in the law it's just enforcing the law. he laid down exactly what he wants, thousands of people that work for him in the department of homeland security to do. what we are looking for and it might come as soon as today. it might come as soon as this morning is the president's new executive order. so, instead of appealing what the ninth circuit did. he is going to relationshi goind order that stops 48 lawsuits against him. nullifies the ninth circuit's opinion. in writing the new law, i'm shoe they're have done that. they have taken the ninth circuit's opinion. they have taken opinion in brooklyn and opinion in federal court in alexandria, virginia and found all the things these judges said are problematic with the executive order and they will address them. and the they they come into two

categories. one is it sound ridiculous but this is what the judge has asked. i know what's coming from the look in your face. how did you choose these seven countries, mr. president? so without revealing classified material, the white house is prepared to demonstrate how it is more likely than not that among the people in these seven countries there are some very dangerous people. let's suppose. steve: those seven countries named by the obama administration. >> correct, correct. named by the obama administration. supposed cia said to the president. mr. president, we believe that a couple dozen lone wolves are coming from three of those countries, we're not sure which three. we know they use multiple passports. we need a ban from all seven until we can weed these people out. that would be a perfectly valid, absolutely lawful, under the circumstanceoutearly e president to do what he did. brian: should have individual cases that in the past have gotten through that we're going to stop now? >> and threats coming. if he has to reveal classified

material, there is a procedure whereby it can be revealed in secret and just to the judge and not to the people that are complaining. the other area is, isn't this really a muslim ban? didn't you say during the campaign that muslims are dangerous? he said incendiary things during the campaign. that was then. this is now. i have never seen used in a courtroom words that a candidate uttered against the candidate when the candidate became the office holder. ainsley: not a muslim ban if you look at all the muslim countries around the world there are only seven that he picked out. isn't that a good defense? >> yes. because intelligence told him, the intelligence community told him i'm assuming that these are where the present threats are likely to come from. ainsley: exactly. >> it's not political thing or anti-muslim thing it's national security thing. brian: does he have any control of what court would this be challenged in? >> it's a great question. he doesn't. ainsley: come back to the ninth circuit?

>> any person agreed to this tried to get in and couldn't can file a lawsuit or have one filed on their behalf. nobody expected that thing to come in seattle. ainsley: you know there are going to be more lawsuits. >> these people are like in this morning. they are ready. steve: and you were just before your appearance. it resulted in the loss of two legs and a finger. but i can tell you i'm pretty grateful to be here and grateful to have that opportunity to serve. i don't regret one moment of it. steve: thank you very much for your service. what do you make of these stories out there over the last couple of months since the election? there are so many hillary clinton supporters who are so traumatized. they are going to therapists. they are clogging online bulletin boards. they are getting into fights with relatives who supported donald trump. and they now have this new thing called pesd. post election stress disorder? >> well, i think, number one there is a big missed opportunity in naming it post election stress disorder. i would have preferred them to name it post inauguration stress disorder. that way they could have called it pissed. there is a big difference being pissed off about things and what happens on the battlefield. and i mean that i have empathy for maybe the stress that is

in people's lives as a result of this election. but, that doesn't mean that there is any real comparison to service members that have been targeted by snipers. that have been blown up, that have had to take the lives of their enemies. that have had their uniforms stained by the blood of their friends or have had to bury friends year after year after year have been on deployments year after year. there is not a comparison between the two in my opinion. steve: i'm with you on that. thank you for your service and your sacrifice. since so many people that we're talking about are upset about donald trump. i'm curious from your post as a brand new congressman from florida, how do you think he is doing? >> you know, i think there is going to be a major divide that occurred no matter who was president. you have one side, my side that wants to drastically cut the size of government, get rid of, you know, government intruding in people's lives and business and individuals. and one side that wants more government. so no matter what, there is going to be a great deal of disruption that occurred anyways.

that journalists would be hunted down. which kind of sounds like what katie tur was suggesting in this sound bite from earlier. >> as we know, since 2000 there have been a couple dozen suspicious deaths of journalists in russia who came out against the government there. donald trump has made no secret about going after journalists and his distaste for any news that doesn't agree with him here. do you find that this is a dangerous path he is heading down? brian: implicating that yeah he thinks donald trump is going to hunt her down. meanwhile rush limbaugh says the problem with this whole situation is you're supposed to have a fair press. the press should not have a bias. if the press is pretending to be fair and balanced and they actually have a bias, what good are they doing? listen. >> what the first amendment does for the press is the same thing it gives everybody else. they can say what they want to say.

that's essentially what the first amendment says for the press like it says for you and me. it singles them out and references them in terms of their importance, a free and intimidated, unattached media. nobody objects to that. it does not grant them immunity from criticism. it does not grant them freedom to be disagreed with. it does not grant them freedom from opposition. they seem to think that it does. ainsley: he was saying that journalists can dig up dirt on everyone else and report it and tell you about the, you know, whatever is happening in their personal life. but, yet, when someone goes against these individuals in the mainstream media they can't take it. steve: they hate it. we need objective adversarial press. is the press really objective when you look at it? and according to the center for public integrity in the last election of the $400,000

ainsley: as we await a new executive order on immigration. stunning new report estimates it might cost american taxpayers over $4 billion to care for refugees this year. is that true? well, joining us now is the man who has crunched all the numbers in the past he is a research director for the senator for immigration studies. steven camerota. thank you so much for being with us, steven. >> good morning. ainsley: good morning. is it true it's going to cost us 4 billion-dollar this year? >> if you say look at the refugees we have taken in the last five years, which is about a half a million, sure. when you take into account all the things that we do special for refugees, plus the heavy use of all kinds of welfare that they are allowed to use, it would easily total four or five maybe $6 billion. ainsley: just to show folks at home how much that would buy you. you can buy with 4.1 to be exact. 11,000 new homes for $384,000 each. which is an expensive home. you can buy 170,000 new cars

that would cost you $24,000 each. you know, when i was looking at these statistics earlier, steven, i was wondering how much -- how many veterans would be helped if we spent $4 billion? how many school teachers? how many police officers could be helped, folks that are paying taxes that live here? >> look. i mean, it's all a fair point f we look at immigrants, refuse agrees from the middle east about 0% receive food stamps. three quarters on medicaid. these are some very big numbers. we could do a lot of other things with that money, including maybe help more people in the region, rather than bring them here. when they come here the cost is very high. we could help maybe 12 times as many people in the region for the same amount of money. and that is an important policy question that doesn't get asked enough. is this the best use of our money? >money? ainsley: steven, let's look at some of the numbers from 2015. the number that arrived here in 2015, most of them on food stamps.

almost 93% are on food stamps. almost 68% on medicaid. and then we're giving cash assistance to 72% of them. listen, we all have a heart for other people and we want to help other people, but how long are these folks on well welfare? are we forcing them to get a job after three months. >> the idea is to always try to make folks self-sufficient. remember, a very large fraction have very little education. a lot of them don't have any ties to the united states and welfare is pretty attractive. even if you follow them many years out a large fraction still use welfare. things do improve over time but the cost remain big. ainsley: they surely do. steven cam rot tax thank you for breaking it all down for us. >> thank you for having me. ainsley: you are welcome. next on the rundown we found one place where heck is the president. what? and are your liberal friends having a hard time understanding president trump? how to explain it to them in three easy steps.

[cheers] steve: brad, you say what he is doing there is he is getting the word out. how did he explain that?

>> you have to be able to sell what you're offering. and the best way to selling it is doing it yourself is understanding the deal. first of all, is he thinking big. he is thinking of building a wall. he is inspiring people. is he selling the deal. this is what has made him a success as a businessman. this is what will make him a success as a president. one of the most most important deal points of the president is delivering on the deal. not merely selling something, you have to close the deal. once he closes the deal, is he onto the next deal. strength from strength e that's what mr. trump is about. steve: one of the things that he really wants to get in to people's head is he is drying to create as many jobs as possible. listen to this. >> i campaigned on the promise that i will do everything in my power to bring those jobs back in to america. since november, jobs have already begun to surge. we are seeing them keep jobs at home. ford, general motors, fiat chrysler, just to name a very,

very few. steve: there he is trying to deliver the goods that he promised. >> right. and is he using his leverage. look, as a businessman he used the trump name and himself. as president, he is using the leverage of the united states. making america first. using all the power that the united states has economically, socially, politically, and militarily. it's exactly the principle that he used as a businessman every day in building buildings. steve: sure. because sea businessman. that's what is he doing in this sound bite. listen to this. >> i got the folks in from lockheed martin. i got bowling. in i said do me a favor, give mia competing offer. now they are competing and fighting, and we have gotten hundreds of millions of dollars off the price of a plane that was going to be ordered. they are going to make plenty of money but a lot less they would have made without trump. that, i can tell you. steve: after the deal all

about containing the cost. that is what he is doing there. >> containing the cost warning not to be greedy. get the best deal you can be happy with a good deal. a deal is only as good as it is for both parties. if you overreach, it's not a good deal for me or for you. i'm trying to get out of a bad deal. what the president is saying is look, you are entitled to make a profit. just don't take us to the cleaners. steve: sure. just one -- three other quick notes. you must create excitement. he is good at that you have to fight back. you never back down. and he never gives up. does he? >> never gives up. that's the key to closing a deal. when you think you are down, get back up, sell et deal. get the parties together. and, steve, the most important principle in this book has been a dirty word in washington that's compromise. both sides have to compromise to get the deal. is he transactional guy and that means success for america because he is going to make deals. steve: sounds like half hour from now he is going to start selling that immigration plan and we'll watch it here on

executive orders that the president signed back on january the 25th. one on border security, including building the wall. the other on prioritizing the removal of criminal aliens. here's a couple of highlights. first of all, the one on border security calls for the hiring of 10,000 additional immigration and customs enforcement agents and an additional 5,000 border patrol agents. now, this is something the president talked about many times in the campaign trail, so, no, surprise there. and in terms of prior type o prioritizing the removal of criminal aliens, they would prioritize anyone who has been charged with a criminal offense that has not been resolved. anyone who has abused public benefit programs, or anyone who is subject to removal order but is still in the

country basically deported but they haven't left yet. it also increases the participation in something called the 287g program, this is between the federal government and local law enforcement along the border in which they can deputize if you will local law enforcement to help out in immigration proceedings. now, there was an erroneous report last friday that is part of this 287g program. the national guard would be called in. that was not true. that was in an earl draft. nobody ever took that seriously, so that is not happening. this expansion of this partnership program related solely to law enforcement in states along the barriered and probably continuous states as well. and also here in terms of building the wall just like with the pipelines, president trump wants the people who build the wall to use materials made here in america. furthering his hire american. buy american mantra, which he

deportation camps in places like berk in pennsylvania. and these are christians, evangelical asylum seekers. and they've spent the better part of a year and a half in a jail and some of these children, young children spent half of their lives in a deportation jail. and we're hoping that president trump will see the humanitarian concerns that are present and release them. ainsley: okay. you work with immigrants that are coming into our country as an attorney trying to get them to become legal citizens. what do you see? take us inside and what do you see and what the real problem is? >> the real problem is we have a law that requires some tweaks that would allow the 11 million people that are here without any type of status to get in the back of the line. because right now there's no line to get back into. and i'm hopeful that within the next two years, republicans and democrats can come together and put aside their differences and work towards a solution. ainsley: what do you think about these numbers? we were talking earlier with a guest. we were looking at the numbers.

silver star recipient and best author, david is also going to have his become becoming a movie, and it is absolutely unbelievable. david, you actually were in hand-to-hand combat in fallujah literally no weapons just hand-to-hand with the terrorist threat. you've seen it. you stared at it. are you worried about it coming here and is president trump doing the right fortunately to stop it? >> well, absolutely. we've got seven countries that are on this list, brian, and i remember doing vehicle checkpoints with my buddies. we pull over a 35-year-old iraqi driver and his license had a picture of him when he was 12 years old. i mean, sadam is known for a lot of things but having a robust department of motor vehicles wasn't one of them. these countries have no centralized government. they have no data-keeping systems at all. all we can do is we're trying to just mitigate the potential probabilities of threat.

and when you have seven countries that are in open war that you can't even fly into their national airports, this is a serious problem. and finally we have a commander-in-chief who is a wartime president who takes this threat seriously. brian: who has a lot of generals around him. and i always thought if someone's been to war, they'll be the last person to ever bring us to war. they understand the threat. so when he goes to put a seven-nation pause on the vet so we can analyze and put a vetting process to, a lot of people says that puts a bias towards islam. and that sends the wrong message to the world. what do you say? >> well, here's the reality of the enemy that we pace i face in the middle east. the only thing that we can really -- the enemy today is more akin to the japanese in world war ii than anyone else. when you have an enemy that believes that their internal salvation is predicated on the disposition that they have on

the battlefield, that fatalism, how else are -- we've never fought anything like this before. they are -- they're not going to leave the battle space. they're going to go out there and take as many of the enemy out as they possibly can. we are looking at this through westernized. this is an eastern philosophy. and i just for the life of me can't understand. we have right now a president who built a wartime cabinet, and we're very appreciative of veterans of this war, especially. brian: david, if you're in that club in orlando, if you're at fort hood, if you're in sabtah christmas party, or if you've been in fallujah trying to take that city back with a bunch of american military, you understand the terror threat. what do you have to say to the american people who haven't seen it? >> first of all, i hope to god you've never seen it, and it's the men and women who fight this war and department of

homeland security to make sure that that never happens to americans here. but there are eight and ten-year oldest who are preparing for the second generational wave of this fight. and we're just too far incubated and, unfortunately, naïve to think that this war is going to end with this generation. we have to be ready as a culture and a society to protect what we love and hold due. brian: so you would back the president as he does it. what's the best way to relay it? i know you're more of a war fighter than a war communicator. but what's the best way to rely that to the american people? >> well, you know people go back to the draft all the time, and they say that, you know, the draft as a professional military, you know, service men, we're much better off not having a draft because our men and women out there are professionals, and they want to be there. but one of the things that we lost in the draft, we gained a sense of entitlement and a sense of national ignorance when everyone didn't have skin

what do you think of general mcmaster? >> outstanding pick. he understands the nature of our enemy at the tactical level but also the nature of the fight at the strategic level. this guy's been in combat, is a captain engaging tanks as a tank commander but also a rest of town in attack that he is a commander that has made sure that the counter insurgent strategy has worked. he is universally respected and what's so unique about his background, he's been in the fight tactically, and then moves as a strategist and then gets back on the tactical side. no better thinker. no better warrior. and alongside mattis and kelly and the team that has already been built, he will do a great job. he's also going to have to be willing to challenge president trump if he has a different opinion. this guy wrote the book on challenging a president. about the failure of joint chiefs in vietnam to challenge political assumptions. so i think this guy is going to give honest advice to the president. brian: and we understand that

senator tom cotton served under him and said you've got to give mcmaster a good look and then mattis convinced him you better go do this. i need you. so together, it's pretty much of an all-star team. when you have democrats praising these picks, you know that you probably did the right thing. >> yeah, the adults are in the room. it's exactly what president trump said he was going to do. i'm going to bring in the a team. the a plus team. and i'm going to be the leader that speaks about the nature of this threat and how we need to win this war and then i'm going to bring in the best conceivable people and when cotton and david petraeus say this is your guy, then you know you're onto something. and this is a guy who was the executer of a lot of the high people of war in 9/11. ainsley: you've been on this show so many times talking about the va and how we need to improve the va system. someone who knows because you served two tours. you had an exclusive interview with the va secretary, the new guy in charge, what do you think? >> that's right. i had the chance to sit down with secretar secretary

yesterday, his sixth day on the job and asked him what could arguably be the toughest job in dc fighting the bureaucracy and the outside groups to giving the veterans what they deserve. it was a wide ranging 45-minute interview. we're going to play one portion now about accountability. what will he do to take on the swamp because the sump won't want him to succeed. i asked him about it. >> i've been part of the swamp. there's oftentimes a very strong bill. but then when it meets the veterans dc-based veterans group or the american federation unions or some of the committees gets diluted down big time to the point where it really looks good and everyone gets to pat themselves on the back that they did something about accountability, but it really doesn't change the environment. what can you say to viewers out there that want to make sure you're committed to a real accountability bill? >> yeah. well, look, if we get a bill and if it doesn't work, you can expect i'm going to be back in front of congress saying this didn't work. but the bottom line is the

results. okay? and we're going to have to have a workforce that is committed to making sure that the right people are working there. i think there's nothing demoralizing to the thousands and thousands of people who serve every day in the va doing a fantastic job. very committed. i see it when i practice in the va. these are the best people in health care working the va. but when you have one or two or three people that really aren't doing their job, they bring everybody down. so the best thing i know from my private sector experiences, you've got to deal with that. you have to get them out of the system because it helps not only the veterans, but it helps the people who work in the va who are trying to do the right thing for veterans. >> bob macdonald oftentimes is the opposite. he said how are we going to hire people here if they think they can be fired at a whim or at -- for -- at a moment's notice? but your argument is if you can't fire those poor performers, then you don't have a good culture sop would

you say you take a different position than secretary macdonald did who fought against a lot of these accountability bills? >> well, i think what i heard the secretary saying is it's very important to have a due process. you don't want to fire people. >> i could be fired right now. half of our viewers could be fired when they walk into work right now for not doing their job. but you have va workers that sell cocaine or watch porn at work. >> watch us. people who show up to work and do cocaine or watching porn at work are going to be fired because i'm not going to tolerate it, and they're going to be out of our system, and you watch our results there. but remember, we're talking about the vast, vast majority of our employees are dedicated -- they could be working anywhere in health care. but they choose to work at the va, and i'm going to support them, and i'm going to stand behind them. >> a lot of people who have been fighting this on the front lines already are whistle-blowers. the reason we know about phoenix to begin with where

the scandal started were whistle-blowers. i'm in regular contact with them. i'm sure you've heard from them as well. but secretary macdonald, the previous administration almost ignored them if not were outright hostile to them. have you met with whistle-blowers yet? and what is your commitment to make sure that those voices that are marginalized because they're trying to do well by vets to make sure those voices are heard? >> i've absolutely met with whistle-blowers. it is very important to do that, and i agree. they've brought very important issues to the forefront. and not only are we going to support those that tell us problems in the system because that's how we get better, but we're going to address those problems. and i know sometimes these are -- takes a while to address those problems. probably longer than it should. but we're going to make sure that just because it's hard to do, we're not going to stop. >> in addition to that, we talked about choice and whether or not he's going to -- how much access to private care veterans we'll get. ultimately, i think the secretary will be judged by his ability to implement president trump's ten-point plan, which is a bold

ass problem somewhere. i'm telling you. ainsley: wait a minute. people are getting divorced over this? >> yes. there's a 22-year ended because the husband was going to vote for trump. my favorite part of the story -- and i actually went back and read the psychology today piece that kind of inspired all of this. there were people claiming that they were in car accidents and fender-benders because trump won -- i mean, i love those ads from spider-man, and they have, like, the statues. i can't wait to see the statue of i'm sorry, officer, trump won the election. you have serious personal problems. brian: yeah, the legendary producer says he feels like he has been raped. >> there's no fun in that. the ptsd comparison for those who have family members who served abroad, it is ridiculous, it is awful. but i want to ask this question. when did we start deciding that it was a horrifying

personal tragic when someone didn't vote for won the election. because plenty i didn't vote for won the elections. bill clinton never won a majority of the popular vote ever. so that means most people in america never voted for him. were we supposed to be not showing up for work? calling in sick? breaking up with our wives? i can't take it. bill clinton's in the white house. where does that come from? you. ainsley: you mention people who serve our country, steve had a guest earlier in the show. he's a republican from florida served our country, lost both of his legs and one of his fingers. listen to what he said. >> i have empathy of the stress that's in people's personal lyes as a result of this election. but that doesn't mean there's any real comparison to service members that have been targeted by sneers, that have been blown up, that have had to take the lives of their enemies, that have had their uniforms stained by the blood of their friends or have had to bury friends year after year after year or have been on deployments year after year after year. there's not a comparison between the two. steve: final thoughts, michael.
