they maryland lawn maker that griff just spoke to will be joining us here tomorrow night, don't miss that. every night at nine, the show that's sworn enemy of lying, pomposity, smugness and groupthink, "hannity" is next, have a great night. >> sean: thanks, tucker, welcome to "hannity," this is a fox news alert we are following three big breaking news stories tonight, newt gingrich, dr. sebastian gorka, and congressman dave wright will all join us, ours ago, london was rocked by a brutal act of terror. at this hour there are not enough votes in the house to pass the republican plan to repeal and replace obamacare but now tonight white house sources are telling fox news a deal is very close. the house intelligence committee chairman devin nunes makes a major announcement that he has
7:01 pm
now seen reports that u.s. intelligence did in fact conducted surveillance of president-elect donald trump as trump tower and of course his transition team. we're going to tackle that issue first intimates opening monologue. devin nunes checked the internet trump establishment with this announcement, pay close attention. >> i recently confirmed on numerous occasions, the intelligence community incidentally collected information about u.s. citizens involved in the trump transition. details about u.s. persons associated with the administration, detail with little or no apparent foreign intelligence value were widely disseminated in intelligence community reporting. third, i have confirmed that additional names of trump transition team members were unmasked.
7:02 pm
fourth and finally, i want to be clear, none of the surveillance was related to russia or the investigation of russian activities or of the trump tina. >> sean: this is incredibly explosive news. very important questions remain tonight including one i've been asking from the very beginning, what did the obama administration no? what did obama know? when did they know what? newt gingrich and sarah carter will react in just a few minutes. we also turn our attention tonight to a big developing story. as of this moment the gop's legislation to repeal and replace obamacare scheduled for a vote tomorrow does not have the number of votes needed to pass on that crucial vote. desperation now sitting in, what can the geo beat do to salvage the bill? white house sources are telling us and the fox news channel that the administration is now close to a deal and freedom caucus chairman mark meadows confirmed to me and said that they're not there yet but he's extremely
7:03 pm
optimistic, he will join us later in the program. also freedom caucus member congressman dave pratt. we turn our attention to our top story tonight, once again terror, this time in london. earlier today, the suspect who police say was motivated by terrorism overseas use the vehicles to mow down pedestrians on the westminster bridge in london, after he exited the car the suspect fatally stabbed a police officer outside of parliament before being shot dead by police. here's how this horrific attack unfolded earlier today, take a look. >> there's been some type of incident outside parliament. >> he was coming at us so quickly, i saw some people be hit in front of me. >> there's a lot of people in >> all i could hear a bang, bang, bang. loud. >> a full terrorism investigation is already underway. >> we will all move forward together.
7:04 pm
never giving in to terror. >> sean: and totaled suspect killed four and injured 40. sadly the attack in london is all too familiar for the people of europe now in november of 2015. radical islamists launched a series of attacks in paris targeting a stadium, cafe, and a concert hall. there are 130 people were slaughtered, hundreds of others wounded. one year ago this day's limits extremist set of expulsions at the airport and at a metro station in brussels killing 34 innocent travelers including in that case for americans. in july, the city of nice france was demonstrated by that truck attack, injuring more than 200 a few weeks later and norma day two men took hostages in a local church they slit the throat of a local priest all the name of isis, just days before christmas in berlin on islamist plot a truck into a crowded christmas
7:05 pm
market killing 12, injuring almost 50. this wave of attacks comes as europe is now facing an ever-increasing problem problem of islamization, london alone was home to over 80 sharia courts operating independently and without authority from the english government. this has major implications for here at home, if we make europe's mistake what happens? this is coming to a city near you. that raises in terms of the border wall and implementing extreme fitting, it's a very civil choice for you the american people. it's a slight inconvenience for those few travelers who like the privilege to come to our country versus gambling with the lives of american citizens. joining us now, dr. sebastian gorka. here we go again, it's islamization, you and i discussed it about europe, you believe isis can be defeated. your reaction to this attack and
7:06 pm
added the importance now of extreme vetting and mortar security. >> unfortunately, this is just one more tragic piece of evidence of how very real threat is to america and her allies. you just went through the list. of how many more of these do we need to see? how many people need to die before it is understood that what we are trying to do in the trump administration is to stop at events like this happening on u.s. soil. this should be a surprise to nobody. isis and publications, al qaeda in english language, g howdy texts have said this is what you do. you don't need some grand army, you don't need weapons of mass destruction, you steal a truck, you steal an suv. look at what happened afterwards. do you remember the decapitation of the british serviceman?
7:07 pm
this is the same scenario back then at two jihadis ran down the rigby and decapitated him on the streets of london, and israel, it's the same textbook. the war is will not sway executive orders like president trump's travel moratorium are so important. >> sean: i have been saying to people, this is the very simple choice of the left in the country has made a decision. their decision as they don't want to inconvenience those people that want the privilege of coming into this country. they are willing to gamble with the lives of americans. i don't say this lightly, if we don't events because of their opposition, if we don't build a wall because of the opposition and people cross that border, enter this country without any venting and americans are killed, i argue they have blood on their hands. when will we protect the american people and make that our top priority?
7:08 pm
>> that's a priority for us, in the white house we are unequivocal. everybody needs to understand i don't care who you voted for, it's not about your party affiliation whether you're a democrat, republican or an independent. the fact his evil exists, you know evil exists, whether it's, communists, or now jihad it walks the earth. we have to stop it from endangering american lives on u.s. soil. that is our primary priority in this administration, that's why we are doing this. >> sean: dr. sebastian gorka, i say there is a clash of civilizations. if you grow up under sharia and you believe as a man you have the right to tell women how to dress, you believe you have the right to tell they can drive a car. many of these countries live under sharia, that is law. and are killed as a matter of
7:09 pm
course. pistons and are persecuted. is it even possible to bet what's in the mind, hearts, and souls of people if they grow up in a culture that so contradicts our constitutional form of government? >> that's a fabulous question but you nailed it at the end. the bottom line is what is your attitude to the u.s. constitution? it is not a right of anybody to come and live in the united states. if you want to come here, the measure will be whether or not you respect the constitutional order of this nation and the founding documents. if you don't, i don't care if you are a member of the kkk or communist party, you are a threat to the united states. global jihadist him a threat just like those prior ones. >> sean: and give her being with his eye with which it was under better circumstances, our thoughts and prayers go out to our friends in great britain, joining us now the author of
7:10 pm
"the new york times" bestseller, fox news contributor newt gingrich. he mentioned evil, mr. speaker i wrote a book deliver us from evil, and i looked at the last 100 years of human history. you are a great historian, over 100 million human souls destroyed by evil. you look atism, fascism totalitarianism, communism, the killing fields, pol pot. this is a clear and present danger today. it is modern day evil. radical islam, what do we do? what should we be learning from what's happened in europe with migration and refugees? >> first of all, i thought he was tremendous in his contribution just now and really nailed it. i think you have to recognize, the reminder from london is that in addition to the decisive destruction of isis in syria, we are faced with a worldwide threat, we need a worldwide
7:11 pm
strategy. i'm delighted that secretary tiller's and has been meeting with our allies on the isis issue. there is this bigger question, the less administration of course, obama wouldn't even admit that the problem. i do think with president trump and his security team, you have people who are beginning to work on this. this is a reminder that we face a movement which in some ways, the internet uses other kind of devices it's a threat all over the planet. i think were going to have to design a strategy. were going to have to be much clearer on how it will go to measure people. >> sean: we've had our own issues with refugees and migrants, nothing compared to what europe is experiencing a dramatic increases in terror
7:12 pm
attacks and major crimes, we've seen it not only in france and great britain all throughout the european union. i think this is really a moment america really needs to pause and ask itself, are we going to follow the same path they have followed, always prepared for the consequences they have had in europe. we have enough terror going on in boston at the marathon and chattanooga, at the nightclub in orlando at fort hood and a san bernardino, we have our own problems or would he do we really want to invite other problems without the system? >> i think that's part of it, the other part of it is when people come here, we need to go back to teaching people how to be american. assimilating them into an american civilization. we absorb lots of people from lots of places. part of it requires defeating this left-wing mythology that you can be multicultural and it still be single country. i think we can have many peoples
7:13 pm
come to america, but they need to learn to be american if they're going to live here. >> sean: asked the question i asked dr. @tuckercarlson. doctor, i know for a fact from people interviewed and people who have been there, no-go zones exist throughout europe. if there is no assimilation there, those are two separate distinct countries within a country. >> that's the european problem and we cannot tolerate any development of on alternative culture inside the united state united states. i think we have to say were happy for everyone to be americans, were happy for people to come in and learn to be american, were not going to allow sharia courts, were not going to allow it no-go zones,
7:14 pm
were not going to allow people to decide they are in america but not part of america. that's a recipe for disaster. >> sean: that raises the question that i was asking dr. @tuckercarlson doctor, anyone who wants to be a guest in our country pay for their own predicament my own thoughts. how do you ascertain knowing that isis they may be evil they're not stupid, they probably well trained and coached on giving answers if they were being vetted. how do you possibly affect the mind, the heart, and the soul of somebody coming from a country whose culture for example is like saudi arabia? >> i think part of it is you've got to have a lot more information than we have from anywhere in syria about their background, what kind of a mosque do they go to? what kind of people do they hang out with? i think you have to be able to go back three, four, five years.
7:15 pm
just getting into the room to answer questions doesn't get them anywhere. tracking down how they behave, who they associate with does give you a dramatically better sense of who they are, and frankly people who go to radical mosques shouldn't be allowed in the united states. >> sean: stay right there, coming up we have a lot more with speaker gingrich coming up right after this break coming up next tonight on a "hannity" ." >> what i've read bothers me and i think it should bother the president himself and his team. >> sean: house intel committee chairman devon nunez drops a major bombshell that he saw surveillance on donald trump and the transition team, newt gingrich will wreck that, plus more in the terror attack of london, come and can republican leadership struck a
7:16 pm
7:20 pm
>> sean: this say fox news alert, we have more in today's terror attack in london just a few minutes. but first, early or, house intelligence chairman devon nunes made the bombshell announcement come from and what president trump has been saying for weeks, surveillance was collected on members of his team and himself. afterwards he took questions from the destroyed press media. take a look. >> reporter: are you saying it was political surveillance what's mark political opponents as a presidents had in the suites? >> what i read bothers me and i think it should bother the president himself and his team, because i think some of it seems to be inappropriate. >> sean: president trump was asked today about these revelations and here is what said, take a look.
7:21 pm
>> reporter: do you feel vindicated by chairman's be 25? >> president trump: i somewhat do, i must tell you, i very much appreciate the fact that they found what they found, i somewhat do. still >> sean: still with us, mr. speaker, i look at this and say well, here it is, the media has been so wrong for so long, they're trying to make a big deal, well, was he actually wiretapped? or was there surveillance? for two weeks on this program, we have been pointing out for the fact that surveillance did take place, now this is confirmed. now the house intelligence committee chair is very disturbed. i think every american should feel the same way, your thought thoughts. >> i hope that both the house and senate intelligence committees are going to dig into this and rip apart the bureaucracies and find out who did it, who authorized it, hmakt
7:22 pm
the obama community -- presidency made to make it easier to leak? this is really very, very sobering about american civil liberties union oppressive to his party is defeated who then uses the intelligence apparatus of the united states and then changes the rules knowing it will make it easier to leak. this whole thing is sick. i think it is astonishing to have had everybody pile on president trump and now it turned out that he was right. i look forward to "the new york times" and "the washington post" issuing editorials of mea culpa admitting that trump was right and they were wrong, i love the idea of cbs and nbc and abc actually admitting that their coverage has been wrong. >> sean: and cnn. all of them. they've all been wrong.
7:23 pm
here's the real danger to me. that is i understand, i'm a big supporter of the intelligence community as i know you are. a lot of these people put their lives on the line. this is an evil, dangerous world, we need that intelligenc intelligence. there are very specific laws and rules regarding the wiretapping surveillance of americans. we still have a first, fourth, sixth amendment here. there are rules for example if they're surveilling a russian ambassador, an iranian ambassador, that's their job. but if they noticed an american is on the line they're supposed to practice what's called for minimization. i've also talked to those people who work in intelligence, normal practices, they don't identify who the american's, they will say an american. in the case of general flynn, they mentioned him. now we know they had a surveillance of the president-elect? and on members of the transition team? did they have a warrant for those? apparently not.
7:24 pm
it might be more felonies, that's one thing we seem to have clear here, your thoughts on that. >> i think we have to go back to the rule of law. that's why i think the house and senate intelligence committees have to have deep investigations, tear the sin apart, figure out who did what, when did they do it, who authorized it, who broke the la law, and then insist on the justice department to prosecute the people who broke the law. this is one of the most incredible breaches that i can think of it since world war ii where an american elected, new elected president is being in effect spied upon by his own government. that's really sobering. >> sean: there's one other point that that is james clapper, national director of intelligence, the fbi director, admiral rogers have not said not one vote, not one was influenced as asked by chairman nunes and
7:25 pm
the hearings. we have mark meadows and congressman dave bratt coming up. i spoke to freedom carcass members earlier today. there were at least 30, probably more that were not going to vote for this bill. in the course of today, there have been meetings with the white house and more specifically the president and mark meadows himself. there has been a breakthrough tonight. the only thing i hear is remaining as the actual language, but an agreement and principle has been made. how important business of the president is the one who make that breakthrough? >> this is vitally important, it's donald trump add to his best. he did write the art of the dea deal. i think it was extremely important that they avoided defeat on the first big test of his presidency. i am delighted that he has intervened personally to break up what was apparently a logjam between the speaker and the freedom carcass, very much to president trump's credits.
7:26 pm
very hard-working, trying to get this thing and vice president pence and lance previous at all helped to unlock this thing. i hope sometimes this evening, speaker ryan as going to accept language, if they do and it passes tomorrow, this is a historic moment. it is president trump's moment, he will have earned it. >> i was talking to freedom carcass members today, there number one concern of defending the president on this because they felt it doesn't work, it hurts him. that was his main argument, very interesting behind the scenes. maybe they can build more consensus before they roll out bills, they worked very hard to cope it came together in the end, we appreciate with us. as we continue tonight three big breaking news stories following tonight, scotland yard says a suspect responsible for today's carnage on the streets of london
7:27 pm
was likely inspired by international terrorism. we'll have a live report from benjamin hall, he's in london. plus will get reaction from brexit leader nigel farage. >> were very optimistic if we work around the clock between noon tomorrow that were going to be able to hopefully find some common ground. >> sean: will republicans have enough votes to pass the g.o.p. obamacare replacement plan? that's happening tomorrow night, the chairman of the house freedom caucus said he is very optimistic a deal will be struc struck. the chairman will join us along with congressman dave bratt on this busy news night the "hannity" ."

today has been confirmed by scotland yard, this was indeed the work of radical islamic terrorists. of course they say they now know who the attacker was, they're not releasing the name. we do know more about the victims today, the five people so far have been killed. among them pc palmer, he was 48 years old, he had a young family he was killed while protecting members of parliament at the palace of westminster. also among them was a 30-year the woman, she was killed in a bridge. the assailant himself and to other people. 2:45 or so the car was crossing the bridge, sped on the sidewalk about 35 miles per hour. it killed innocent people left and right. today we know parliament was sitting at the temple and the prime minister herself was in parliament, she was rushed out soon after. she had said that this will not bring down the country, they will stand as strong as ever.

of course connection still to isis, this is a year to the day that brussels attacks were carried out. directly inspired by isis, it's also the same day at 68 ministers were meeting in d.c. to discuss the coalition against isis and of course the terror group are on the back foot at the moment, reaching out, calling out to their followers entered attack the west if they can in particular using vehicles. we see in their propaganda pointing toward this. it's a method they've used time and time again. we've seen it in berlin, we've seen it in nice can loosen it twice here today despite security around this heavily guarded the building, it was again, they were able to take the lives of five people. today this city very much in morning budget going to pick itself up tomorrow and continue as best as it can on the way. shawn? >> sean: i know you've had a long difficult day and i know it's very early in the morning, thank you for staying up for us we appreciate it. during a snow with reaction is brexit contributor and fox news

contributor also a personal friend nigel farage peered up late for you to, our thoughts and prayers go out to all our friends in great britain especially the families of the victims. and those of you are in hospitals fighting for their lives. you and i have had long discussions both on-air and off air about the islamization of europe, about refugees, but migrants and how it impacted the brexit vote and impact of the election of donald trump. hey we are back at square one once again, another attack. how important are these issues of vetting? how important are these issues of independence? certainly knowing something about people who come into our countries. >> we've made some terrible mistakes in this country, truly started with the election of tony blair back in 1997 who said he wanted to build a multicultural britain. he even has government said later they sent out to search
7:36 pm
parties to find immigrants from all over the world to come into britain and you know what? i don't think we vented a single one of them. the problem with multiculturalism is that it leads to divided communities. it's quite different from multi-racialism, that's fine, that can work very happily and extremely well. we finished up with very divided communities. i'm sorry to say that we now have a fifth column living inside of these european countries and surely, surely an american audience seeing this horrendous thing happening at westminster today should start to say to itself when donald trump tries to put in place vetting measures, he's doing it to protect your countr country. frankly all those people out protesting on fifth avenue in new york and elsewhere, they need to have a good, long, hard to think about they are doing. frankly if you open your door to uncontrolled immigration from middle eastern countries, your infighting and terrorism.
7:37 pm
>> sean: i agree with you, but there are people who disagree with us. they will say things like xena phobic, islamaphobic and through these words out here. is it really too much to ask that if you come from a country that practices of sharia that values directly contradict those of the united states and our constitution or the values of western europe and the united kingdom, is it really too much to ask that we event you and know that you're going to bring safety and security with you as you visit? have the honor of visiting our great countries? >> it's just plain common sense, what he didn't mention his attitudes towards women because a lot of these countries that were talking about women, frankly aren't even second-class citizens, just look what we seen happening in parts of sweden and parts of germany in terms of sexual crime statistics. i'll tell you what's happening
7:38 pm
here. the idea that this whole country is united which is what we are hearing from our leaders i'm not sure is true. i think the british people want some answers from our leaders as to what they're now going to do. >> sean: well said. nigel farage, thank you, our thoughts and prayers are with our friends in great britain tonight. the house freedom caucus chairman mark meadows says he is very optimistic at this late hour that republican lawmakers can get the deal done on the health care legislation. in other words he's been negotiating directly with the president tonight. he feels they have met in terms of principles it's now a matter of writing the bill. he will join us next along with congressman dave brad, straightahead. ♪ ♪

we are negotiating that heavy lift. it will be the real deal and were doing this because we want president trump to be successful. if we don't get the cost curve down, it will end up with death spirals again in a few years, this time will own it. it's a win-win. when i try to hold things up. >> sean: both of you told me and you are very firm about this. congressman meadows specifically told me that the reason you're fighting for this is for the president's sake. he can't have his name on a bill you said that's going to end up in a bad way. your motivation was to get it right. >> it's really about the american people, sean and what we look at this its commitment from the president to lower insurance premiums to repeal this to make sure that those pre-existing conditions are taken care of. it's all about making sure that
