of the problems in the original. i said it was likely that plaintiff would find one federal judge to block the travel ban, and you know this get appealed up to the court of appeals, then probably appealed again up to the u.s. supreme court. and they are the ones that are going to determine the fate of this travel ban. arthel: so, keisha, to you, as you know two federal courts, hawaii and maryland, have blocked the travel ban. can those courts volunteer to overturn or evoke their decision. >> that is seldomly done by a court, unless there is a motion for reconsidering of the ruling, i understand that revised executive order may be considered. but there are a lot of people, i believe these judges that ruled against it still feel it is in violation of the establishment cause of the constitution. arthel: mm-hmm, and chris, you

just mentioned that you say you believe that this is going to go to the supreme court. but how much time are amount of time it takes to get the travel ban approved by the supreme court, have an impact on the president's argument that the bs an issue of national security, and urgent matter? >> right, i think that is you know an inherent problem, this is a temporary ban. the purpose of it was to go in fix the procedures look at procedures of these refugees admission programs from the countries that potentially problematic. while this is being fought out in the court, a lot of these measures, and reforms can be taken place. i still think it is in trump administration's best interest to continue this fight in court. because, after this current

order expires it is within the bounces of possibility that president trump would issue a new executive order maybe for another period of time. arthel: meantime, how does this lapse in time from your perspective as an attorney, whaw does this impact the president's guided an this is importance? >> i don't think that have is a period of time when you lapse, so yes, it creates the problem that we're losing critical time, and potential people who do not have our national interest in mind, become across the border, but even if it is one year for now or not, i still think that president still has within his broad constitutional authority, the right to say, you know, whether another travel ban needs to be put in place to protect our national interest, time does

have adverse impact, but it tuds not change severity of that it situation. arthel: does this pass or pail? >> i think that problem that president has he called it a ban on muslims. and made comments during the campaign he would make the decisions gai against the muslio that now it seems like it is. i don't think that there is going to be any time of relief to lift the freeze. arthel: but, to your argument about the president's past comments. there have been reports that say that president has the power as the president, to want po protect the country and ensure national security.

eric: do you think that president can cobble together a bipartisan group and get success with tax reform. >> it's possible but not easy, president said, okay obamacare is off the table for a while. now we'll do tax reform, which is what i really wanted to do in first place. this is not easy, republicans, remember, we talked about how republicans never united behind a single plan to reform the health care system, they have never really united behind a tax plan, if president thinks he is do tax reform with a week of glad handing of having some members over to bowl in white house bowling alley, and a few meals together. it takes more. eric: when do they start that, and how do they put a package together that is appealing to the members of both party.

>> they start immediately, not as if the pages on plank on capitol hill. they have thinged to star thingk they will probably start with things they agree on, biggest cut in corporate income tax, ours is one of the highest in the world at 35 percent, cut to to maybe 20%. they will talk about cutting individual tax rates, azusa well. -- as well, and there will not be total agreement on that, there will be some disagreement to give very highest earners a tax cut, they will talk about reducing expenses for businesses, and some agreement on that, but there is this border adjustment tax, which is a big thing on house side of capitol hill right now. that is probably going to be a very contentious issue. eric: what about issue also, president's plan could add 7

trillion to the debt. >> yes that is -- that is going to be a big deal calling it whether it could be revenue neutral or not, there are going to be some republicans who say it does not have to be revenue neutral, if you cut taxes, growth will up creates, an incrd more tax revenues will come in and the deficit will get smaller, then ho other republico say no, we have to pay for this right away. there will be a lot of debates on that. they are not going to get a lot of help from democrats it this, just like they got no help at all with obamacare. eric: do you think that you know what happened friday was a shock to the system. that it woke people up, they have a weekend, they are say, we have to do something. ted poe, today announcing he is resigning from freedom caucus, he said, saying no is easy,

arthel: a marine veteran has defied his disability, graduating from suffolk county police academy on long island new york, matisse ferrari lost both of his legs while walking on a roadside bomb while fighting in afghanistan. but that did not stop his dream of becoming a police officer. reporter: marine veteran matisse ferrari is believed to be first time full time officer in united states to be a double amputee. he lost both legs in 2011, after
