he feels president obama failed in syria, turned it over to the russians. he has a relationship he wants to continue with the russians, yet the russians are backing theory appeared to this day, the russians say it looks like it was not bashir al-assad who killed the people. it looks like the rebel fighters. >> dana: everyone knows the rebel fighters weren't giving any equipment in order to carry it out. >> kimberly: this is why become so incredibly complicated with the passage of time. when you see this atrocities happening, and the president is moved by them. we are left in the difficult position because it's going to be almost impossible for the u.s. to punish militarily, syria, because during this stretch of time from when the situation first evolved, you have iranian and russian forces and all of the different military sites. we try to strike them in those spots, you're going to risk

2:07 pm
world. it is full of suffering, destruction, death, false belief. the second terrible thing about being president are americans who think we should be more like them. in the 21st century, it's amazing that thousands, tens of thousands can still die and one part of the world while the other part does pilates and drinks lattes and listens to john mayer and then tells us that we are the troubled country, we are the bad country. look at what is happening. so happy and so lucky. it has nothing to do with god. you are lucky you were born in this country because if you were born there, you would be living in hell. >> bob: this week, if you think about it, north korea launches a missile that may have, may have gone off track but it's not clear yet. we know it was smaller than the last one but think about that. they made a decision to launch knowing full well that china was coming here.

intend to stand by and enforce and punish assad when they had the opportunity to hit his chemical sites. instead we are operating at a tactical disadvantage, political disadvantage. it's far more complicated because he was more concerned about getting iran and the ayatollah to be able to sign the nuclear agreement and convince them it was to their advantage barely missed this opportunity. now what do we do? >> dana: bob, can i ask you something. susan rice, who will talk about in a moment, in january of this year, she gave a press conference or speech in which she said one of the accomplishments of the obama administration was convincing assad to give up his chemical weapons. here we are on april 3rd, 2017, 2 and a half months after she said that, him using sarin gas against his own people. >> bob: obviously it was bad
