part of that meeting of tillerson and russia foreign minister, it's important to understand the real intentions of the united states, some unusually blunt language there. a little bit more diplomatic language to tillerson. i look forward candid and we expect the secretary to try and continue to walk this very fine line that the president has as well between keeping syrians from using chemical weapons and keeping the united states of another front in syria. >> we are not going into syria, but when i see people using horrible, horrible chemical weapons, which they agreed not to use under the obama administration, but they violated it. maria: they said they got rid of them. >> what i did should have been

real intentions of the united states. this happened when the two men shook hands before closed-door meeting. secretary tillerson saying they want to further clarify areas of common interest and differences and why they exist so we can narrow them. that's the prelim they're words out of this meeting. we expect the secretary to try and continue to walk a very fine line that president trump has between keeping the syrians from using chemical weapons and at the same time keeping the united states out of another front in syria. >> frankly putin is backing a person that's truly an evil person and i think it's very bad for russia, i think it's very bad for mankind, it's very bad for this world but when you drop gas or bombs or barrel bombs, massive barrels with dynamite and they drop them right in the middle of a growm of people and

mess. they are not supposed to create any messes for the president but it happened again today when sean spicer made one error. >> he doesn't believe he has a credibility problem, that's why he's on tv making apologies incident when you make a mistake, you own it, david, the big question is not whether or not sean spicer has a credibility problem, it's whether the president thinks he has a credibility problem. jackie: that brings us to look who is talking. george washington university law school professor jonathan says it's time for the media to shift focus to the real issues. >> this is the problem, it's not that that comment didn't deserve criticism. it was a dumb comment and he had to walk it back, but the media seems to be fulfilling affect or's advice the only way to get rid of temptation is to yield to
