but mick mulvaney defended the record on fox news sunday. >> what i think folks don't realize we've signed more legislation into law in the first 100 days, we put out more executive orderers than any administration in the last 50 years. >> the president will sign at least four more this week including improving accountability and whistle blower protection at the va and federal lands and implementing an america first offshore strategy and promoting agriculture and rural prosperity. the spinning bill and budget deadline and tax reform and health care. i think the 100 day as, as you know, an artificial barrier, it's not very meaningful. i think i've established amazing results that will be used the four or eight years, whatever period of time i'm here.

[applause] clayton: that didn't make a lot of republican friends happy either. nearly 100 days in office. how has this president done so far? here with his thoughts executive vice president for the center of kurt policy and our good friend on the show, jim hanson. >> good to be here. clayton: people try to pin down a doctrine, pitch idea of what the president is trying to do. what would you think this president's doctrine looks so far? >> i think he's returning to the reagan era of peace through strength. you take the enemies of the country and the world, you show them that they're not going to have free rain to walk over us and that will stop them in the future. clayton: one of the challenges for president obama and george w. bush was terrorism, of course. taking the fight, like the president said on campaign trail, what grade would you give hem for that? >> i will give him a for that.

you can run and you can't hide, you can't dig a hole in the ground because we will blow that up. clayton: adversaries, another big problem, china, north korea, iran, where does the president's grade on dealing adversaries? >> a minus or b plus there. i didn't like that he was congratulating erdogan where he grabs more powers, there's public pronouncements and what you're saying behind the scenes. i hope he's taking a stronger look at that guy and some of the other folks, but overall the posture of the united states has changed. we are leading from the front again. clayton: is he handling north korea well? >> that's one of the toughest things in the world. the smart move he made when he was talking to chinese leader. if you give us help with north

korea, you might get a better trade deal, using those things together is the trumpian part of the deal. i think he's doing that well. clayton: adversary is also russia, what do you think about that? >> russia got a message with the air strike in syria, that was a message to putin as much as assad. do not things do things that the world does not approve of and i think giving them a heads up and get your people out of the way because we don't want to hurt you too sent exactly the right message. clay lay another grade backing our allies, how important it is to back allies, where does the president come in the first 100 days on that? >> the first meeting he had with benjamin netanyahu, showing that we are friends with them reinvigorating the special relationship with the british, both of those things and the

that's this thursday. that's when she was originally invite today give that speech. college officials canceled and later rescheduled for may second, coulter said she can't make it and also no classes going on this week. social media reaction is pouring in on this ongoing story. let's take a look at some of the tweets. robin said, the world has twists and turns at every corner, how will any of the students make nit the real word, start teaching survival skills, maybe that can be a new class on campus. look at this tweet from andrew, if you see berkeley won't allow conservative speakers to speak, it's only proper for the president to cut funding. as for ann coulter, she says she has every intention of appearing on campus on thursday. it's up to uc berkeley to find a venue. it's up to police to keep her and everyone else safe. clayton: you had bernie sanders

budget deadline that threatens the federal government shutdown and battles over health care and funding for the border wall, the president will sign at least four executive orderers this week designating federal lands under act, implementing an american offshore energy strategy in promoting agriculture and rural prosperity. but those battles we mentioned are very real specially the border wall and showdown very possible and something mick mulvaney hopes to avoid. >> i don't think anybody is trying to get to a shutdown. it's not a desired end, it's not something that we want to have. we want our priorities funded and one of the biggest priorities was border security. >> how is the president taking all of this with such pressures? here is what he told the ap, quote, i think the 100, you

forecast for today, good morning. janice: you know what they say, april showers, bring those flowers, right. let's take a look at the northwest, that's where we have unsettled weather yet again this week. the northern plains, that's where we have snow close to canadian border across great lakes and then we have the area of low pressure that's slow going across the southwest and mid atlantic and really 48 to 72 hours. that's going to produce the potential for heavy rain, maybe in some cases 4 to 6-inches across the carolina into the virginia area. there's your forecast today escaping the rain for the most part across the northeast. that's going to lift north ward and across the south, a nice-looking day for you across the northern plains, that's where we have the snow, the northern tier there.

for the skiers, i guess, you can still ski this time of year. i know you have been wondering what has been happening with me. heather: everybody has been asking. janice: i didn't mean to take an extensive vacation and i will talk about about it on "fox & friends". i wrote an op-ed. i'm a little bit nervous about it. i had what was supposed to be a fairly, you know, routine procedure, it was a cosmetic procedure that was done on my neck because i had relationship with my neck since i was little. we all have things that we don't like about ourselves. i went on a thursday and was supposed to come back on monday or tuesday and unfortunately the procedure temporarily paralyzed part of my facial nerve. so i wasn't able to speak properly and it was a really scary time for myself and my family but it's almost 100% back, but in my op-ed i talk about, you know, obviously there

[laughter] >> well, i think it's funny that we are worried about pérez's, i guess if you would call it profanity speeches what t said to electorate and is now the president of the united states. so it's really more about rallying and getting folks ready for this year and next year. heather: i don't recall president trump using foul language? >> heather, when they go low, we go high that was six months ago in michelle obama said that in the democratic national convention. that lasted six months. >> look, the democrats are out in the woods right now, they are trying to figure out who they are, they continue to lose big

elections, not only do we control congress and the presidency and we control the majority of districts in the country, we control the control the majority of governorships in the country. they don't know what they're doing. the leader is a 74-year-old socialist, bernie sanders who rails against capitalism and owns three homes, one on the beach. they -- nancy pelosi or tom pérez, they just don't know right now. heather: there's some numbers to back this up, if we can take a look at the polls, more americans do say that democrats are out of touch with their concerns than the gop or trump. here is those numbers, they say out of touch trump 38% but 58% say that democrats are out of touch and then the republican party, 32%, 62% out of touch for democrats and then the democratic party 28 in touch, 67 out of touch. i read all of this wrong. bottom line, democrats are higher in every category.

>> i would take the numbers over trump's approval numbers. he's supposed to be in the 70's where all presidents from all parties in the 100 days. he's in the 42% -- 53% disapproval and i would take our numbers over where the house gop dominated congress is right now which is very much closer to the 30's. heather: what about these numbers, philip, 100 days into office, the trump presidency, 96% of voters say they vote for him again. >> yeah that was backed up by washington post poll yesterday as well that said the majority of voters would still vote for him today over hillary clinton. listen, you know, atima can take those numbers if she wants numbers. the republicans control everything right now across the country. ly take that number. the bottom line is the voters voted trump in to blow up the system. he has never held elected office before. he's running a multitrillion

dollar budget and in first 100 day he got gorsuch through. we have less illegal immigrants coming across the border. these are positive things. his first 100 days with pretty good, he never had to run a bureaucracy like the federal government. heather: he talked about the problems in washington and how we need to change that and if anything we are seeing that that's happening. >> well, i would disagree considering health care was a complete and utter failure and i would not credit gorsuch to trump, i would credit gorsuch to mitch mcconnell who started working a year ago when he denied the previous supreme court justice nominee from even having a hearing. >> yeah, i run my own business, i fail every single day, that's why i'm successful because i get up and failure is feedback.
