tv   Hannity  FOX News  April 25, 2017 7:00pm-8:01pm PDT

7:00 pm
tomorrow at 9:00 eastern. sean hannity is up next. coming out you, sean. >> sean: thanks to all my friends at "the five." by the way, tucker, "the five," they all debuted number one in their timeslots last night. congratulations to them all. welcome to "hannity." a very busy newsnight on this very busy "newsweek" ." first, the alter radical left propaganda destroyed trump media has been out to destroy president trump but also anybody who dares to support him and his policies. that is tonight very important opening monologue.
7:01 pm
it's no secret that the alt radical destroyed trump media is completely biased, agenda driven, lazy, ideological. they are incapable of actually delivering honest news coverage to you, the american people. they helped elect american obama. they collude with the clinton campaign. and we know that they are on a mission to take down president trump. simply put, they want him thrown out of office. impossible, and put in jail. since they won't stop until that happens, now the destroyed trump media is advancing their attack and targeting outlets and people and individuals who refused to push their biased talking points and fall in line with their agenda. they hate fox fox news, talk r, they hate any conservative who supports this president and it supports its policies. their goal right now is this shut down and completely silent what they see as opposition.
7:02 pm
it has evolved into what i call media fascism. last night i told you that i have become the target of a smear and slander campaign. the alt radical destroyed trump media weakly and immediately picked up on all the smears and lies, it spread like wildfire all around the country despite the fact that these allegations were completely false. the individual who made them quickly recanted these bogus claims but the destroyed trump media wanted a cheap headline. a simple, basic fundamental google search would have ended the witch hunt against me. these lazy journalists -- if they did that, they would have discovered this individual has , serious, severe credibility issues and has targeted and tried to slander me for well over a decade. this isn't about me or any individual. it so much bigger. it's about silencing every single conservative voice in the country. now the seeds of this have
7:03 pm
already been planted. the destroyed trump media viciously attacked then candidate trump and now president trump. one example? take a look at these disgusting examples. >> surprising since i just assumed he was running as a jok. >> we better be ready for the fact that he might be leading the republican ticket. [laughter] >> i know you don't believe that. i want to go on. >> which republican candidate has the best chance of winning the general election? >> of the declared ones? right now, donald trump. [laughter] >> i understand where you're coming from. i understand why you like him. this man is lying to you. >> trumps critics, those who are worried about this president and this white house, saw a live spt brought to you by narcissism,
7:04 pm
thin skin, chaos and deeply personal grievances. >> this was a white lash. he white lash against a changing country. a white/against a black president in part. and that is the part where the pain comes. >> he said today -- -- >> this is a very bad night for the country. you can't polish this. >> what if you called him a fake president? >> if it wasn't so serious, it would be funny. these media passes have been going off on president trump since november 9th. he refuses to sit back and take it. he has been fighting back at everything that has been thrown at him. obviously this is frustrating to the destroyed trump media and since they can't take down the big prize, president trump, they are now redirecting some of their attacks and targeting every white house advisor.
7:05 pm
even the first lady. members of the president's family. his daughter, even his 10-year-old son is a target. tonight it is time to label what we are seeing -- what it really is. i call it media fascism. joining us with reaction, fox news contributor, do you have any more titles? laura ingraham. >> i have a couple in mind. i'm working on it. it's a family show. >> sean: you can say anything on this show. >> sean: wow here is my point on this. you have been in the public eye, we've basically been -- we have come up the ranks together, if you will. i have broad shoulders. i've been called everything. >> hand the day, that is just by me. >> sean: [laughs] it doesn't even bother me. i'm like no, maybe it should. maybe i have a missing chip. but this is more serious.
7:06 pm
every minute of your talk show, every minute you are on the sho show, they are hoping you say something wrong and then they can boycott you, shut you down. an end your ability to give your opinion. that is media passes fascism. >> we are seeing this outbreak of liberal fascism. jonah goldberg wrote that book book -- >> sean: i have to give him credit. jonah goldberg gets it. well deserved. >> he wrote this book about how the history of the nationalist/socialist party was a history rife with intolerance of different viewpoints. it was also for big government programs. he wasn't saying it was exactly the same as a liberal intolerance today but you could really follow along the continuum of intolerance in
7:07 pm
general. when they say that talk radio hosts are this and that, no. the true fascists who are operating today in this country are of a different variety than the old fascists of mo selena's day. they want to shut down debate on college campuses, what they're doing to ann coulter, milo, others. they are targeting people like you, talk radio shows, if they can put us out of business -- that their ultimate goal -- they won't have to bother having a debate on issues of policy that are important to the country. they are fresh out of ideas, all they have is the same playbook that frankly barack obama read from for eight years. all of his accolades continue to read from in the days we are seeing now. i am so glad you are on this issue and fighting back against it.
7:08 pm
we all nd together. i don't care if you hate talk radio, like talk radio, i stand for everybody's right to have their views and opinions heard. try to keep it not profane but i respect people's rights to speak out. we can disagree but i would never shut down someone's right to speak in a public forum or on a college campus. that is so weak and lame. >> sean: it's so pathetic. this is what is so sinister and dangerous. it's well organized and funded. what a loser, they sit in their basement three hours a day monitoring every word you say on your radio show. me too. get a life, grow up. that's why i would never support never support boycotts. it's a roundabout way of silencing opposition. i will tell you a quick story. a friend of ours, going into the white house. i sent them an email saying please, no going in. they want this president
7:09 pm
impeached, handcuffed, mug shot, perp walk, put in jail. but in the process they will have as much collateral damage. the more the merrier, of anybody around them. i advised this person to get a lawyer and understand all ethics rules. they will attack. i think i've been proven right and i am not paranoid. >> a sad fact. when you go to work for an administration that is under the microscope to the extent that this one is, everyone should be held into account and held to the top ethical standards, i am in favor of that but what we are seeing today is a pack and herd mentality to try to chew him up and spit him out and say, see, we were right. if you are at a high level, you have to think about lawyering up. everything you say could be
7:10 pm
taken out of context. sliced, diced, the goal here is to intimidate. it is a noxious goal that the left has. they want to intimidate and silence good people from speaking out and speaking their minds. they do it at the local level and at school systems. they do it in sports. they do it at every level of corporate america today. they are trying to intimidate people from actually speaking their mind on subjects that are important. i say, the more the merrier for different points of view and let everyone have a fine, the zesty debate. let the chips fall where they may. that is the way america is supposed to work. >> sean: we will come back, more with laura ingraham after the break, coming up next. >> we definitely, desperately need the wall. we are going to have the wall built. i watch these shows with pendants in the morning. i do not know what they are talking about. the wall will be built.
7:11 pm
>> sean: he says the border wall will be built. this is a federal judge blocking his executive order on sinks where he said he speared and also tonight. >> you would do your best to hold the seat open. >> absolutely. >> we are the party of opposition and that is our job. >> sean: 100 days in office. highlighting the unprecedented opposition from democrats. we will get reaction, kellyanne conway is here tonight. and later, ivanka trump speaks up at a women's forum. she gets booed and hissed at. the democrats seem to know no bounds. that, as we continue here on "hannity" ." when you're close to the people you love,

7:16 pm
probably worse during this time then in the history of the world. the wall is going to get built. we definitely, desperately need the wall. we are going to have the wall built. the pundits in the morning, i do not know what they are talking about. the wall gets built. >> sean: this president is actually enforcing the law. that was the president earlier today saying yes, the border wall will be built. a federal judge in san francisco blocked the president's executive order to withhold money to sanctuary cities. we continue with laura ingraham. you know, i'm going to go through the list of accomplishments of the president and the next segment here. what's so interesting about this is we have a continuing resolution. democrats are trying to shut down the government on saturday. he says i will take funding for
7:17 pm
the wall off the table. everyone is like he has given up on the wall. >> one thing i know for sure, sean, is that we have way too many people on capitol hill who aren't on the president's side on this issue. i'm talking republicans. i have no doubt in my mind that donald trump wants this wall to be built. congress has to appropriate the money. i heard over two months ago the g.o.p. leadership -- the most senior's senior senators -- thy were laughing at the idea that l would ever be built. out loud laughing. basically telling this source of mine, don't worry, it's never going to happen. they are actively working against the goal of this president, what was among his most popular pledges to the country. he pledged this over and over and over again, to rocket applause.
7:18 pm
he is really aggressively pursuing, i'm so happy about it -- his agenda should be supported by the republicans on capitol hill. they couldn't find a billion dollars to put down a down payment? that's ridiculous. >> sean: obama as president, and they are still afraid of their own shadow when trump is president. i'm glad to hear the president so adamantly say we are building the wall. because if he doesn't fulfill that promise, i think that would be the equivalent of george herbert walker bush, read my lips, no more taxes -- >> they will kill him without. a republican challenger, if someone ever primaries, i am telling you. the republican leaders -- they don't want this wall to be buil built. >> sean: that brings me to my next criticism. they wanted the house in 2010, the senate in 2014, they were
7:19 pm
not prepared when donald trump won. how they didn't have a health care bill -- my understanding is they now have one. thankfully the freedom caucus, the tuesday group, the saturday drinking group, the moderate caucus, they all came together and it looks like we have a deal. the president will sign it and then they will send it to the senate. the fact that they weren't prepared really annoys me. >> it's embarrassing. there is no way to spin this. democrats are levying a lot of unfair criticism against republicans. that is the way the game is played but this one is frankly a fair criticism. eight years later and the republicans are still messing around with the provisions and trying to figure it out. it looks juvenile. i am sorry. it looks like total mickey mouse club stuff. paul ryan -- i like him and all these people personally but you are it's supposed to be this big
7:20 pm
legislative changes. you are supposed to know your caucus. >> sean: he never showed anybody the bill. and it then he is shocked, oh, i can't get the bill passed. it's beyond frustrating and at this bill frankly could have been better in its original rollout. why didn't he bring the caucus members in? why didn't he bring the tuesday study group people in? >> it was a cram down. they wanted to put so much pressure on these freedom caucus members, but they quake in their boots and quiver and say oh, god, we will do anything. >> sean: then of mark meadows has to fix the mess. are they going to do this on the budget tomorrow and every other agenda item? >> unless donald trump really personally gets involved to even a greater extent than he has already been involved, i think this will continue. they have to get them normal budgeting.
7:21 pm
this is how much you get for defense, energy, you don't get a penny more. each department should have a budget and that is it. this continuing resolution is another embarrassing point of government for the united states of america. the republicans have no one to blame but themselves right now for it. >> sean: thank you for being with us. coming up on this busy newsnight, this busy "newsweek," kellyanne conway. also tonight... >> and so you would do your best to hold the seat open? >> absolutely. >> we are the party of opposition and that is our job. >> sean: the disturbing first 100 days of democratic obstruction and later, ivanka trump participates in a women forum in berlin. she talks about her father, she gets booed and hissed at. we will talk to ari fleischer and lisa boothe and the issue of

...one of many pieces in my life. so when my asthma symptoms kept coming back on my long-term control medicine. i talked to my doctor and found a missing piece in my asthma treatment with breo. once-daily breo prevents asthma symptoms. breo is for adults with asthma not well controlled on a long-term asthma control medicine, like an inhaled corticosteroid. breo won't replace a rescue inhaler for sudden breathing problems. breo is specifically designed to open up airways to improve breathing for a full 24 hours. breo contains a type of medicine that increases the risk of death from asthma problems and may increase the risk of hospitalization in children and adolescents. breo is not for people whose asthma is well controlled on a long-term asthma control medicine, like an inhaled corticosteroid. once your asthma is well controlled, your doctor will decide if you can stop breo and prescribe a different asthma control medicine, like an inhaled corticosteroid.

the third executive orders, the pieces of legislation, the 13 congressional review acts. that's a great example of him just getting the government out of our lives, it's so intrusive, invasive, expensive and expansive. i think president george w. bush had done one and president trump obama had done zero, president trump has done 13. >> sean: neil gorsuch's was a huge promise. that's a huge promise kept. the fact the president worked the phones on all of these corporations, chrysler fiat, gm, carrier, and promising to invest so much in the country. getting rid of these regulations especially as it relates to coal, ending the war on coal. illegal immigration. now enforcing the laws, fighting against sanctuary cities. at the border wall. we saw what he did in syria, the

-- the idea that everybody has an opinion, everybody has a point of view. they are not honest about it like you are. they don't come out and say where they come from. they pretend like they are neutral and it sit there and bash the plan and president. if you are neutral, you are not engaged or paying attention. how can you possibly not have an opinion on what is going on? i wouldn't trust you anyway. the american public knows the difference. that is why trump was elected. that is why did they know when they're watching you as well. it >> sean: people are intelligent. give them the benefit of the doubt. herman, anything you can add to this? i know you've been a big supporter, as i am also also, of the fair tax. >> i am. and of course i love 999. i suspect that this president is taking this step because he knows that the american people as well as the liberal media and the media aren't going to be

ready for a bold step. this is pretty bold. it would be even bolder to go to one of those other plans. here is what is going to get to his proposal across the finish line. the american people are going to have to let their congresspeople and their senators know that they support this plan. they need to hear from the american people about this plan. that would put pressure on squishy republicans, it's not going to change a lot of democrats but it would put pressure on squishy republicans to go along with this plan so they can pass it in the house and the senate and he can sign it. that will be the difference. >> sean: when we come back, we have a very important question of the day and yeah, the voice mails on the "hannity" hotline. straight ahead.

so do you think the mainstream media is trying to destroy trump's presidency. i think it's obvious. let us know what you think. now it's time to play some of the messages. >> love your show i can't get enough and watch you on the show. a day without hannity is like a day without sunshine. thanks. >> i'm so happy you're fighting back. god bless you and keep up the good work. >> i'll take one night without the negative. one night. that was heart-warming. thanks to all of you for your kind words and support and more importantly open-mindedness and fairness to see facts for what they are. it means a lot.

want to call me. that's all the time we have left and we'll see you back here tomorrow night. >> this is a fox news alert. a federal judge in san francisco struck down the order targeting sanctuary cities. welcome to "tucker carlson." the order sought to deny federal funds to cities that actively resist immigration law and try to shield illeague illegal aliens and the ruling is a big win for now for the many mayors who vowed to resist federal immigration enforcement. >> to congress welcome. the actions by president trump turn on the head upside-down what we stand for.
