set your dvrs so you never miss an episode of "the five." we will be back here at 9:00 eastern. "hannity" is next. >> sean: thank you to all my friends at "the five." number one again in their time slot. welcome to "hannity." ann coulter will not be speaking at uc berkeley after sponsorsir pull out of the event due to "security concerns." this was scheduled to happen tomorrow. c she will be here in just a minute to respond.ap newt gingrich, maria bartiromo, juan williams, and harvey levini will all join us later tonighty but first, the alt radical left, destroy trump media plan to silence conservative voices, this has got to be stopped once and for all. i am saying tonight it is time to stand up and face this threat head-on.
10:01 pm
that is tonight's very important opening monologue. we are at a turning point. a huge turning point when it comes tooi freedom of speech in the united states of america. i, for one, refuse to sit back and let conservatives be silenced by liberal fascists. uc berkeley has succeeded for now and silencing another conservative. ann coulter was supposed to give a speech on the campus tomorrow. simple, harmless, right? the home of free speech, berkeley. not to these left-wing anti-free-speech fascists. o the alt radical left loves toit claim they are so tolerant and inclusive. that is just a big mess andef live. maybe the biggest in america right now. in fact, the first amendment means nothing to these people. it's just a tack on a document that they care nothing about. shut down every single

conservative voice in america by any means necessary. it's not serious. this is just one example in what we have been showing you this week, liberal fascists are carrying out a well orchestrated funded smear campaign to try to take down president trump and anybody and everybody that supports him and his policies. as i have explained, i have alsm become the target of these slanderous attacks and in my opinion, what happened last friday -- this was designed to be a killy shot. to ruin my career and shut me down, once and for all. literally, i think that the crosshairs at my head and heart. they wanted to destroy me and ruin my career and get me off the air once and for all. it's very, very importantst for you to understand what is really going on here and it is so much bigger than me or anyone person. i want to use my example to expose what is really happening. on friday, just two days after bill o'reilly parted ways with
10:03 pm
the fox news channel, an individual with serious and glaring credibility issues fabricated completely untrue ridiculous claims about me going back to 2003, 2004, or 2005. they quickly recanted. instead of doing their job and fact-checking the accusations by this individual, easily proven to be false, liberalal fascists journalists, lazy as they are, saw an opportunity. let's get hannity next. these are just two of the headlines of the many that were used to try to take me down. nbc news, "sean hannity denies right-wing blogger's sex harassment claim." no one mentioned it was way back in the early 2000s. "is hannity next to fall?" tried to pressure her into hotel room sex. she didn't even say that, just as a sidebar issue. do these represent the truth?
10:04 pm
none of these outlets have updated their headlines to correct the story and tell theio viewers or their readers the truth. that this is a highly questionable individual who recanted these completely false claims. i have hired a killer team of lawyers and investigators. we are laying out a war strategy that will hold every media outlet that lies and smears meet responsible. my lawyers are saying that these media outlets have a basic fundamental obligation to do rudimentary fact-checkingat instead of just taking the word of one individual, in my case, they went for the cheap headline without even doing a simple google search which would have shown that this has gone on with this woman -- false charges -- for years. is this reckless disregard for the truth? do these media outlets have a responsibility to do any fact-checking?
10:05 pm
in the end, i may end up suing some of these outlets because at this point, enough is enough. these attempts to destroy and silence conservative voices -- they are trying to make your favorite news show hosts go away. they want to get rid of the fox news channel. the one network in the country that actually gives president trump a fair shake. they want to destroy everybody in talk radio.an at this point, if we don't fight back and i don't speak up, it will only get worse and worse and others will fall victim to the same liberal media fascists. i've told you since 2007 and 2008, journalism in america is dead. it has been that way for a long time. stop pretending -- it's time ton stop pretending. the facts show, they are agenda driven. they are lazy, biased.op they have a diabolical agenda. they seem incapable amount of telling the truth. joining us now, ann coulter.
