has been focused on securing our border. >> i will build a great, great wall on our southern border. i will have mexico pay for that wall. >> this not been much of a problem even for washington. after all in the past democrats agree to secure the border and. they said it was paramount, twice confining to build a barrier. >> the barrier before us will do some good. it will authorize some badly bos needed funding for better fences and better security along our borders. >> secure borders with technology personnel, physical barriers. >> but they never finish the job. and now marine general, john kelly is taking over. he saw the need himself. >> i think something something in the neighborhood are starting to put together their

prototypes. >> something funny happened on the way to building the wall. politics and hypocrisy. >> senator mcconnell wanted me to negotiate the wall with president trump. i said to him two things. first, it's not a negotiation. no wall. second i said, only you can persuade him that he shouldn't to the wall because it will cause a government it'u cal shutdown.the mone democrats advised of her border security, we just think the wall made no sense. >> really, no sense course mark they would afford in the past. instead of building a fence when i do something that work. the money was allocated but they didn't finish the job. the problem this time his president trumps vision and potential victory. they're panicked about allowing this president to fulfill hisde promise. r >> the president, i think a talking about this wall isl. expressing a sign of weakness. his income i cannot control our borders. i have to build a wall. >> right. building a wall, you're so wew come in so traditional. how how did the chinese look when they both that wall. and when the israelis towering when they built this wall of the west bank? by the way, it stopped is surge

8:05 pm
what really in my mind is poison politics. at some point, general kelly and sessions need to stick to their story and let america know one the president is looking out for them and the other party is looking out for themselves to get back in the white house. jenna me now who's fascinated by my open why think he thought was too long because he wants to talk is geraldo rivera. it's good to see you again. i know this issues very passionate to you.you've b is this about politics? in my wrong or am i right? >> it is about politics precisely. i think objectively, intellectually, my 11-year-old said, dad, don't countries have fences to divide one from the other? at the logical thing, it's a traditional thing, why not.on here's the problem. the president has made it an us against them kind of situation k with mexico.
8:06 pm
we are going to build that wall whether you like it or not and you are going to pay for it. why have that kind of tone now that he is elected? i could see how he could use it to harness the brexit energy, that we have to protect ourselves against the spirits. >> undocumented or unmonitored.e crossings. the problem is, when you stick it to mexico it may be a dysfunctional country many ways but it's also extremely prideful country and proud people. why not make it and a negotiation. >> my point is more and senator schumer same were not to build the wall and pretending it isna not a real issue that he caresno about $2.4 billion when he knows that democrats focus on how much
8:07 pm
waste there is. this is about not giving donald trump something he was put in office to do. that's what bothers me. i don't even think he believes what he is saying. >> i don't disagree with you that they sense weakness and president trump. even mexico saying he's a poker player who is bluffing with as h pair of deuces in his hand.e but you talk to mexico december way, where one sovereign speaks to the other as the now -- >> just build it on american soil. >> why not get it mexican mexics permission. for example. you have 11 million undocumented here who send remittances to mexico and the threat is we are going to tax the remittanceses they are sending to their families. t. that is international trade. why not make it part of the negotiation.d why not have a tax on it. why not let mexico charge if they want to for people to visit. >> this week ted cruz propose

you kind of let things go back in my day. the rules were still there. if you're on the tarmac and someone gets up you're supposed to stop the plane, make them sit down. that is enough to april. that's a regulation. that crew on delta was following that rule. but, the follow-up of how the handle the needs to be changed. the ceos of the airlines need to understand that you need to let un your personnel make decisions on the flight as to how to be human again. they have lost that. crews are nervous about videotape. if i'm videotaped and i don't say anything i am i going to get fired? well yes, i just broken faa regulation. and the crew manual it says you can get a find or terminate. they had to start training the cruise that you don't always have to be by the book, in certain situations you do. by the book doesn't always mean follow the rules laid out forn's you.
