email earlier. [laughter] >> kimberly: don't forget to set your dvrs. "hannity" is up next. >> sean: this is a fox news alert, welcome to "hannity" tonight. ari fleischer, monica crowley, kellyanne conway, joe joe digenova, all here with reaction. the destroyed trump media is absolutely losing it all across the country tonight. continuing to lie about the president and his firing of james comey. tonight on this program we set the record straight. that is tonight's opening monologue. the destroyed trump propaganda media continues to do with the democrats dirty work by pushing insane to enhance conspiracy
7:01 pm
theories and making ridiculous and factually inaccurate historical comparisons to president trump kicking james comey to the curb. watch this big lie. >> i have not seen anything like this since 1973 when richard nixon fired archibald cox. >> nixon didn't want when he did come out of the woodwork, that's when he famously said i am not a crook. >> firing archibald cox was the first shovel into richard nixon's political grave. and it always, always works like that. >> summer comparing this to watergate. >> it's understandable that some are comparing it to watergate. >> echoes of watergate. >> these are the kinds of mistakes that were made during watergate. >> archibald cox, are you
7:02 pm
worried about a history repeating itself? >> sean: the level of ignorance here is breathtaking. the liberal crackpots in the media, they are now unhinged and suffering from a syndrome. trump derangement syndrome. they are willing to say anything, no matter how crazy it sounds. they want to damage this president and get them out of office and delegitimize him. the real reason president trump fire james comey is because the former fbi director was incompetent. he failed to faithfully execute the laws of this country and followed the principles of equal justice under the law. for not doing that, that made him a failure in that meant he needed to be fired. nbc news, a propaganda network, but take a look anyway. >> he is a showboat, a grandstander. the fbi has been in turmoil. i know that, you know that.
7:03 pm
everybody knows that. you look at the fbi a year ago. it's in virtual turmoil. less than a year ago, it hasn't recovered from that. >> monday you met with rod rosenstein. did you ask for a recommendation? >> what i did was i was going to fire comey. my decision. it's because you had made the decision before it came out? >> there's no good time to do it, by the way. >> in your letter it said i accepted their recommendation. >> i was going to fire him regardless of the recommendation. highly respected, very good guy. very smart guy. the republicans like him, the democrats like him. he made a recommendation but regardless of that, i was going to fire comey. >> sean: the president didn't really have a choice here because comey was a complete and utter failure. he disrespected the constitution. he made a mockery of the rule of law. he did nothing.
7:04 pm
while fourth amendment privacy rights in this country were being violated day in and day out. of course, the most dangerous part of what he has been doing is he created a two-tiered justice system. one for hillary, one for bill clinton, and one for the rest of us. take a look at the side of your screen. these are all the laws that hillary clinton broke with her private email server scandal. along with a clinton foundation, another big issue, clinton's server had top-secret information, special access program information. she deleted -- you can't delete 30,000 plus emails. she claimed they were personal about yoga, weddings, funerals, grandchildren and emailing with her husband -- who doesn't email. even james comey described her conduct in that closing argument when we thought he was going to indict her, at "extremely careless -- that's gross

negligence, can anyone tell me what the difference is? up to five foreign actors had hacked into hungry server. he did nothing. by the way, that likely put operatives in the field and their lives in danger. he of the foundation. the pay to play scheme. the clintons were literally lining their pockets with millions and millions of dollars while hillary was serving as secretary of state. you might remember, she signed off herself and giving the russians 20% of america's uranium. that horrible uranium one deal. she had a sign of personally on that. many of the people that were it involved donated millions and millions of dollars to the clinton foundation. moscow was doubling bill clinton's speaking fees. most recently, comey stood by while your fourth amended privacy rights were being trampled on with the obama
7:06 pm
administration, unmasking american citizens. caught up in foreign surveillance incidentally. the one law we do know was broken in this whole russia dat date. it was against general mike flynn. she is incidentally picked up. they unmask flynn. and top classified information was released. that is a crime, a felony, a violation of the espionage act. as we have been saying, he got what he deserved. but the president let him collect a paycheck for as long as he did. the destroyed trump media and the democrats don't want you to know any of these facts and they are not reporting these facts. they are expanding on the lies like saying oh, comey asked for more money. that turned out not to be true today. that's why you will only hear about these issues right here on this show.
7:07 pm
instead of what you have from the left and democrats, they are now feigning selective moral outrage. they are pretending to forget that just a few short months ago, most of them were calling for comey to be fired. the biggest hypocrite of all is senator crocodile tears chucky schumer. let's take a look at what he said about comey. this is the end of october. boy, his tune has changed. >> he owes not only secretary clinton but the american people an explanation for what appears to be an appalling action. he's got a big burden to prove so to speak for why he did what seems to be such an appalling act that goes against the tradition of prosecutors at every level of government. when i heard about it, i found it hard to believe that comey -- who i thought had some degree of integrity -- would do this. what comey did, what he did was appalling and prosecutors from one end of america to another know it.
7:08 pm
>> sean: did you get that? appalling action. of course crying chuck wasn't on there. days before the election he went after james comey yet again by saying i did not have confidence in him any longer, to restore my faith i will have to sit down, talk to him, get an explanation for why he did this. now the donald trump's president, the king of hypocrisy is seeking a much different tune about james comey. take a look. >> well, mr. president, the dismissal of directors comey has raised many troubling questions over the last few days. this is about one of the most sacred things we believe in as americans. rule of law. rule of law. being threatened here. we know directors comey with a leading an investigation and whether the trump campaign
7:09 pm
colluded with the russians. serious offense. for those investigations getting too close to home for the president? the dismissal of directors comey establishes a very troubling pattern. if deputy attorney general rosenstein does not appoint an independent special prosecutor, every american will rightly suspect that the decision to fire directors comey was part of a cover-up. >> sean: what happened about appalling actions and what happened to lost confidence in the comey? i want you to set your dvr in the very next segment of this show. we will show you a montage of every major democrat trashing jim comey. you don't want to miss it. and how they now have changed their tune. joining us personnel is ari fleischer. monica crowley. good to see you both. let me start with ari.
7:10 pm
way beyond the hypocrisy, we have played this so often. there has not been -- since the russia conspiracy theory has started, not a single shred of evidence. that there was any collusion with the trump campaign. at that any vote was impacted at all by any actions that russia was involved in -- as a matter of fact, just the opposite was told. how is it these major networks -- you dealt with all these press outlets. how do they keep reporting one big lie conspiracy, night after night, day after day? >> you can add the accusation that the deputy attorney general threatened to resign. he said he did not threaten to resign. add that to the list of false reporting. i think there are several levels to this. let's start with the democratic hypocrisy. that is what is appalling. they should name the democratic party the hippocratic hypocrit.
7:11 pm
the hyperventilating that has made people like me who are open-minded and want to see things a little more towards the middle totally turning against what the democrats are saying. they don't have credibility on these issues. if there is evidence that leads to the attorney general, he will take that action. there's been no evidence suggesting that's necessary. the way the democrats behave, they are the ones out of line. there are other things too but i want to come to that later. >> sean: monica, two huge breathlessly reported lies -- ari mentioned one of them. the deputy attorney general threatened to resign. that's false. that the fbi had just asked days before for more money to investigate the russian conspiracy. that turns out to be false.
7:12 pm
every single major newspaper, every cable outlet -- every broadcast channel, news report. they expounded on those allies and i doubt they will correct the record tonight. >> i doubt that too, we have had leftist bias coming out of the mainstream media. ari knows this. it goes back for a long time. this is nothing new. what is new is two things. the level of activism on the part of the media. in creating fake news, perpetuating these lies. not ever correcting the record. the second thing that is new is donald trump. he is an alien organism that has been injected into the body politics by the american people, to reform the system. therefore, the entire political ruling class -- all of the ruling elites, that includes the media, sean, they're doing everything possible to reject him and puts push him out of te

system. that includes lying about him, his team, his record. i hope this president understands what he is up against here. he is not considered a normal president by the ruling class. again, including the media. therefore, he must not be allowed to succeed. >> sean: good to see you both. on this busy breaking news night, when we come back -- set your dvr. we will play you the mother of all montages. highlighting the left liberal hypocrisy on this issue. also tonight... >> i said if it's possible, will you let me know? in my under investigation? he said you are not under investigation. >> sean: president trump during an interview reiterated that james comey told him he was not under investigation by the fbi. three times. we will check in with kellyanne conway and also later tonight... >> she deleted the emails and
7:14 pm
she has to go to jail! >> sean: the president had said multiple times that hillary clinton should be behind bars because of her email server scandal. could the fbi now reopen? should they now reopen the investigation since comey has been fired? we will investigate that and ask an important question, tonight here on "hannity" ." liberty mutual stood with me when this guy got a flat tire in the middle of the night, so he got home safe. yeah, my dad says our insurance doesn't have that. what?! you can leave worry behind when liberty stands with you™. liberty mutual insurance. this is the schmidt's yard. and, oh schmidt, that's a lot of dirt. but there's plenty of time for scotts outdoor cleaner plus oxiclean to work it's magic.

>> this was set up by the democrats. there is no collusion between me and my campaign and the russians. the other thing is, the russians did not affect the vote. >> sean: earlier today in an interview with lester holt, president trump said the former fbi director james comey told him he is not under investigation. watch this. >> we had a very nice dinner. at that time he told me you are not under investigation. you get all sorts of documents. i knew i wasn't under. i heard it was stated at some committee level that i wasn't. >> but it didn't come straightforward. >> and then during another phone call he said it. he said it once at dinner. and then he said it twice on a

7:20 pm
president trump also retweeted something rosie o'donnell tweeted back in 2016... trump retweeted. here with reaction, kellyanne conway is with us. it's such hypocrisy at such a high level. chuck schumer is the worst. nancy pelosi not far behind. harry reid is right in there with the rest of them. bernie sanders, poor bernie, and all of this, he should be the most angry at hillary clinton and james comey if you ask me. what is your reaction to the way the left is creating these bizarre conspiracies? >> they have absolutely no message. obstruct, deny, insinuate. i was looking back at a poll that was taken in march. in march, 41% of democrats said they had an unfavorable view of jim comey. at 12% said it was favorable.
7:21 pm
why was 41% unfavorable? they were trashing the sky all through the fall. now they want to make him a martyr. what the president himself said -- with an interview with a different network, andrew mccabe said the firing of jim comey does not impact their ongoing investigations at all. the media print the opposite. they said they had resources. a single source, somebody close to the white house -- i don't know if they mean at a sandwich shop or coffee shop across the street, somebody close to the white house said mr. rosenstein had threatened to resign. the department of justice said that is simply not true. the rush to judgment, this presumptuous negativity. it makes these people lose their minds and become hypocrites.
7:22 pm
>> sean: look, this is all fake news. the thought was -- you are right, what he said earlier today was absolutely true. the investigation continues. the president says he wants it to continue. >> and to conclude. leader mcconnell also said yesterday that the house and senate are investigating this. just let it keep going. >> sean: we know this is happened in past elections. we have been told by intelligence officials -- the greatest example, though of selective moral outrage happens to be the barack obama state department dollars. influencing elections is bad, why did he use his state department and political operatives to unseat one of our greatest allies, prime minister of israel, benjamin netanyahu? if influencing elections is so wrong, how come nobody seems to care about that?
7:23 pm
>> people have selective amnesia about what was done in the past or what they even said in short order. i think the president made a decision this week. it was his decision to make. he was resolute, decisive. what we have seen in past decisions with earlier administrations. he said he had thought about it for a long time. he made the decision and it is final. the acting fbi director says that he can still go forward with everything as is. the other thing i want to mention -- the president is also talking about the economy and jobs, what is next on health care. he signed an executive order on cyber security. he is doing so many things. he is planning his first foreign trip with five different stops. a political poll said vast
7:24 pm
majorities of americans support so many pieces of the spending that went through last week. nobody talks about that because it is positive of the president. >> sean: all these fake news networks -- they really are fake news -- they have been trying to come up with his liberal talking point, making comparisons that this is nixonian. the equivalent of the saturday night massacre when in fact, nixon was trying to stop an investigation and a special prosecutor. this president is not stopping it. there was no request for special funds. he wants to get answers and he set up an executive order to look into this type of fraud. and other issues involving the election as well today. >> usually people wouldn't do that. right before an election. he is doing it after he won the election decisively. he is doing it because he

believes in valid integrity and fairness of the process. people who are completely losing it over this just have to stop and look at the facts and listen to the sworn testimony. listen to the president himself in this interview. there's so much good news coming out of here that doesn't get covered because it's not titillating. yet these other polls that show he has very good approval ratings on how he's handling veteran issues and how he is handling terrorism. safety, security, prosperity. it's already happening. look at the manufacturing and job numbers. all these indicators that matter to people. they listen to news and don't listen to noise. >> sean: kellyanne conway. coming up on this busy breaking news night, right here on "hannity"... >> she deleted the email's!
