tv   Justice With Judge Jeanine  FOX News  May 13, 2017 6:00pm-7:01pm PDT

6:00 pm
come out for anything less than 100. that's it for us tonight. follow me on facebook, instagram and twitter. president trump is on with justice with "justice with jude jeanine", that's up next. >> right now. >> what i'm most proud about is what's happening with the country. >> justice comes to the wes whie house. i sit down with the president of the united states. >> another president will sit in the oval office and do practically nothing all day. >> inside 1600 pennsylvania avenue. >> every minute of the day i'm doing something, we talked jim koning, the president's inner circle. >> are you moving so quickly that your communications department cannot keep up with
6:01 pm
you? >> yes. that's true. >> his press secretary, will he be there tomorrow? >> he's been there from the beginning. >> and the democrats who are out to sabotage the presidency. >> he doesn't have good control of his party. he doesn' he's not a good leade. >> justice jeanine: tonight i take inside the white house with the commander-in-chief. what we do about this? >> we don't have press conferences. unless i have them every two weeks and i do them myself. >> my primetime exclusive starts right now and justice. >> justice jeanine: hello and welcome to justice. thanks for being with us tonight. president donald trump, a man i have known nearly 30 years. earlier i was granted exclusive access to the commander-in-chief for a wide ranging interview about some of the biggest issues facing this country. tonight, throughout this hour,
quote
6:02 pm
you will get a front row seat to my sit down with the president of the united states. inside the historic cabinet room of the white house. >> justice jeanine: mr. presiden t thank you for having us in this cabinet room which is a rumor so much american history and decisions were made. a very special room. thank you. >> thank you. >> justice jeanine: how was your week? >> i think it was great. we did a tremendous amount of work, natural gas going to china. cattle going to china. we opened it up, you remember years ago when they stopped any cattle from being sold into china. now china has opened it up to our farmers and cattle folks. they're very happy about it. we have a tremendous amount of things happening literally today. >> justice jeanine: i have to interrupt you because in spite of the great things we could talk about, the gym comey story
6:03 pm
got in the middle of everything. was this the wrong time to fire gym comey? >> there is no right time. but if i did on january 20 that would've been the big story as opposed to the art inauguration. i think about it then, there is really no right time to do it. but i'm okay with that. as you know i have of the decision to make and have to make the decision. he agrees that i have the right to do it. everyone agrees. i was a little bit surprised because all of the democrats hated jim comey. they wanted him fired or whatever. then all of a sudden they come out these glowing reports. >> justice jeanine: the media is in a frenzy. given that some of the congresspeople thought he should've been fired, they call for an investigation even of jim comey. doesn't it suggest to you that it isn't even about comey comments about anything that u.s. president do. >> number one its hypocrites. it's beyond that.
6:04 pm
you have tremendous, the level of hatred toward him. especially during that period of time with hillary clinton where he gave her of free ride. he gave her a free pass like nobody has ever gotten a free pass. during that time the level of hatred by the democrats, also the republicans to be honest. first she got a free pass and then the he came out with comey to an comey three and he gave her free pass. they should have liked him. because he did what he did for her was unbelievable. with all of the guilty, guilty, guilty and he goes oh, but she's not guilty. the fact is, we went on with other things and we had the right to do it. there is no good time to do it. what i am most proud about is what's happening with the country. jobs are way up, look at what were doing in terms of trade deals. it's going to be unbelievable the trade deals were making for the country.
6:05 pm
we have the worst trade deals ever made by any country anywhere, were making them integrate deals. the business that we are reopening with china that has been gone for many years, especially when you look at natural gas and when you look at the deal we just made on cattle. >> justice jeanine: all of the good things in the good stories that you can talk about, whether it's the passage of the health care bill by the house. >> and were doing very well with that. by the way, it was just a continuation of a negotiation. but we are doing very well with that. now that is before the senate. i think the senate will come up with some really, really great additions and changes. we are going to have a plan that will be really great. by the way, obama care is dead. it's time. i have been saying that for long time. now aetna just pulled out, the big insurance company. we have to come up with a plan because obama care is dead. >> justice jeanine: would you agree that but for you gettingye
6:06 pm
and working with the freedom caucus in the tuesday group, with the ub and hands-on at and involve that hospital may have not been passed? >> i agree but i have made so many friends. i read one story where this was an indoctrination of trump. i did not know a lot, i was in business but i do know a lot of the congressman and congresswoman. they are great people. i met so many people that i really like. it was very intense. a lot of people say and i wonder if trump was very much -- i was speaking to 30, 40, 50 per day. i got to know a lot of them really well and they are great people. we have wonderful people representing this country, i can tell you. >> justice jeanine: given what it took, took you to get involved to get the house bill passed. doesn't that suggest that in order to get your agenda accomplished, that same kind of
6:07 pm
hands-on has to apply to democrats and across the l? >> they are obstructionist. what they want to do is obstruct and delay. i'm actually very surprised with chuck schumer, i know him and have known him for a long time. i am really surprised, he has gone so far left in order to get into the elizabeth the warren group that i think he is hurting himself right i think he is hurting the democrats very badly. he has really been brought to the left. i don't think i ca they can win anymore elections unless they start changing their tune. they had become obstructionist. all that means is delay. all of the things that they do and we are going to end up winning, we have been winning. now you look and we have the house, the senate. don't forget, before the election the republicans were going to lose the senate, the house, and of course the presidency.
6:08 pm
that was two weeks before the election. i was watching your show and you are like, not happy i have to say. i know you're fair and balanced but you are not thrilled by the numbers you are seen. the last two or three week period was amazing. you start is seen different numbers. the point is, we're supposed to lose, all three. not only would we lose all three but they thought perhaps it would be the greatest election failure in the history of this country. and i said that's bad. but i worked very hard and we ended up winning all three instead of losing all three. it became one of the great successes. i will tell you that i think they're doing better than that. >> justice jeanine: your agenda is not getting out. people are caught up on the comey issue. >> i agree. >> justice jeanine: how do you get rid of comey? the press office is one thing the vice president says another.
6:09 pm
>> that's an interesting situation. i said today, let's not ever do any more press briefings. they're getting tremendous ratings. especially the fake media, they're going crazy. you have to see, the way they ask you questions, i want, i want, screaming and there's never been anything like this. to get a question now. anand all fairness to sean and sarah huckabee, anyone who stood up there, they don't know me. i'm an active president. i'm dealing with china, japan, north korea, all of these different things. russia came in to see me, the foreign minister the other day. right after that they do not say this that but right after that the foreign minister of ukraine came in. and i suppose you have to make peace. they only talked about russia coming in. we took pictures, they took pictures. everybody made a big deal out of it. he was scheduled to come. what they didn't talk about ukraine. the point is this, when we have press conferences i don't thing
6:10 pm
we should have them. >> justice jeanine: for 100 years we been doing that. >> there's never been action like this. this is crazy. were getting higher ratings on the hunt press conferences. >> justice jeanine: would use usually consider stopping these? >> we do it in a different way. through a piece of paper with a perfectly accurate answer. they asked 100 questions or 50 questions are 20 questions, and they get one out of 50 just a little bit off, 5%, 15%, 20%. the next day it is the front-page story in every newspaper. press conferences were not even covered for obama practically. they were on c-span and c-span to, there's nothing going on. these press conferences are like the biggest thing on daytime television. you see the ratings. they are blowing away everything on just about everything on
6:11 pm
daytime television. what i would love to do is stop them. it is not fair to the people. look, i am a very active person. i have a lot of very positive things going on up for this country. it is impossible for a person, to people or three people who are press people to cover every aspect of what i am thinking and what i am doing. i think it is unfair. if they get it just a little bit wrong, they don't mean to, they are liars, they are horrible people, they are liars. it becomes a big story for two or three days. it is very unfair to a person. i think that is a tough job. especially for me. i am having meeting after meeting, i am cutting the price
6:12 pm
of the airplanes, i'm doing these things and making deals for china, with china. i am trying to solve a problem in north korea which by the way is a real problem. >> justice jeanine: are you moving so quickly that your commute occasions to permit cannot keep up with you? >> yes, that's true. >> justice jeanine: what you do about that? >> you don't have press conferences. >> justice jeanine: you don't mean that. >> justice jeanine: you don't have them unless i have them every two weeks into it myself. i think it's a good idea. first of all, you have a level of hostility that is incredible. sarah huckabee is a lovely young woman. you know sean spicer, he is a wonderful human being. he's a nice man. >> justice jeanine: is here's press secretary today and tomorrow, will he be tomorrow? >> he's doing a good job and he gets beat up. he has been there from the beginning. >> justice jeanine: is he out of the woods for his job? >> he is out of -- he gets beaten up by these people. the notion of the 90 question that he answer properly.
6:13 pm
if they are off just a little bit. the difference between me and another president, i want use names. another president does not do what i am doing. i'm not saying that in a breaking way. another president will sit in the oval office and do practically nothing all day. i am doing every minutes of the day i am doing something. i'm cutting prices, this nation has such unbelievable potential. the thing is, they cannot keep up with it. i will be honest, they do their best. if they give an answer and it is a little bit off, they are liars and horrible. it is really unfair. i would recommend we don't have it. >> justice jeanine: when will you make that decision? >> over the next couple of weeks. they will be very unhappy. because the ratings are so high. i don't know what the networks are going to do. they're going to start to cry. >> justice jeanine: mr. presiden t, here's the bottom line.
6:14 pm
you have this russia story that corey booker said the other day the russians are coming. i thought it was 1950. >> i wanted to get his address right that's what he had to do. >> justice jeanine: he didn't live in the right place? so, wouldn't it be better because all of the success that we can talk about are being overshadowed by there's russia story. >> by fake news. >> justice jeanine: by fake news, to have an independent commission. you are convinced you did nothing. >> i'm not convinced. people are convinced, everybody is convinced. they say there's no collusion. they are all saying there is no collusion. >> justice jeanine: precisely. >> i would like to move faster possible. but what i really want there is no collusion, we have nothing to do with russia. there is a question wasn't rusher who was at that when in and try to hack?
6:15 pm
other questions too, why didn't the dnc, the democrats, why didn't they allow the fbi to check their server? they would not allow them to check. why didn't the fbi insist on checking their server? >> justice jeanine: they have subpoenas. >> they have very powerful subpoenas. the ones in russia once they should be checking. but what i want to what i think is very important, i want to get to the bottom if russia or anybody else's trying to tamper or play with our election. that is very important. >> justice jeanine: so get it out of the white house. to an independent commission. then you can get your agenda out there. >> i tell you what, you have it before the house and the senate. i know some of the people in those commissions are highly,
6:16 pm
they're very ethical talented, smart people. i think you let them just do a. they been doing it for a long time. >> justice jeanine: they may never be finished. how do you prove a negative? how do you prove that you weren't involved. >> i think it's been proved already. to be honest, i wanted to be accurate also. i want them to devote the time they need. much more than speed, i wanted to be sure that russia or anybody else, if it did happen if there was any and also it didn't change the election. that's important to me. but, i don't want it ever to be a question again. so if it takes longer, let it take longer but let them do their job .
6:17 pm
>> justice jeanine: it's a country not been able to see her successes. we are coming up to january 2018. were talking midterm soon. unless we get the promises to the american people, healthcare, tax reform, how are you going to do that? >> will give you an example. we made an incredible do a china last night at 11:00 p.m. the front page of the papers had more to do with on a point stories than that. i think that's very unfair. >> justice jeanine: but you can't change that lets you take it off the table. >> well i think it will be off the table as soon as they announce the results. hopefully they announce it quickly. with all due respect, i want to see it done properly. i don't want to be in a position where something took place having to do with russia or any other country or person, who knows. i don't want to be in a position where it's not done correctly. let them do it correctly. let them take their time. >> justice jeanine: you talk about the house and senate and fbi. >> the house, senate, fbi. >> justice jeanine: said no independent commission? >> i don't think you need it. >> justice jeanine: but they're playing politics, kc that?
6:18 pm
it stepping on your success. just the other day the department of justice nullified the eric holder and obama marijuana drug policy. yesterday, 1400 gangbangers arrested in the biggest sweep. >> and you don't read about it the way should. >> justice jeanine: all of this is being subjugated to ridiculous. >> i be honest with you i think people are seen it. i have a very strong base of incredible people. i think they know what's going on. i had dinner with a group last night with great people, great friends. they come in and are angry about what's going on. the anger from our standpoint and was going on. i think the people see. i think they see our successes. putting the supreme court judge on within 100 days, and i don't mean just nominating, having him confirmed. he's going to be great. they said we did note
6:19 pm
legislative -- we signed 32 bills. did you hear that? thirty-two bills. they're saying a couple of weeks ago it during the 100 days that we signed at non. not everybody but some are saying it. that means they went through congress and signed it. in addition, we freed up the system which was all glued up so people can build houses and build factories and build so much. our trade deals are about, will be unbelievable. i honestly believe people see it. there is no question be wonderful to go fast but i wanted to be done right. >> justice jeanine: , who is the president trying to replace jim comey and the fbi. plus, i'll ask about reports that he asked comey to pledge his loyalty to him. >> , loyalty to the country, i want loyalty to the united states of america. i want them to do a good job.
6:20 pm
>> justice jeanine: his answer is next. we'll also talk north korea, the status of the border wall on the process of shipping illegal immigrant gang members out of the country. part two of my primetime exclusive with president trump is up next. >> that's one of the most exciting questions you can ask if you've tried every pill on the shelf

>> justice jeanine: welcome bac. part two with my interview with president trump inside the whi. take a look. what about the new director for the fbi? you're looking for someone now. >> to me that's one of most exciting questions you can ask. we have some great candidates. we are interviewing people. were going to pick somebody who is outstanding. that's what we want. >> justice jeanine: will u.s. for loyalty and fidelity? >> i want loyalty to the country. i want loyalty to the united states of america. i want him or her to do a great job. then i think we have some wonderful candidate's. >> justice jeanine: people suggest that the question that apparently the new york times is selling that you asked comey whether or not you had his loyalty was possibly inappropriate. >> i read that article. i don't think it's an appropriate.
6:25 pm
>> justice jeanine: did you ask that? >> no but i don't think that's a bad question to ask. loyalty to the country into the united states is important. it depends on how you define loyalty. number two, i don't how pat there. because, i didn't ask that question. >> justice jeanine: what about the idea in a tweet you said there might be tape recordings. >> that i can talk about that. all i want is for comey to be honest. i hope you will be. i'm sure he will become i hope. >> justice jeanine: so this new director of the fbi, will be someone from within the ranks? will be some of my comey? >> we have a lot of choice. everybody wants the position. it's a great position to have. we have extremely capable people. in some cases, people with great prestige actually. people who have had tremendous careers would like to do it. we will have somebody fantastic.
6:26 pm
fairly quickly. i think we only to the public to do fairly quickly. >> justice jeanine: do you think the senate will confirm? >> yes. i want to pick somebody that can be confirmed. look, i thought this would be a very popular think that i did when i terminated comey. because, all of the democrats cannot stand him. but because i terminated him they said, we'll get political points and go against trump. i assumed it would be pal fairly popular and again were talking up structure. this is total obstruction. it's funny, when you listen to schumer and other people talking about comey, then he go back a few months and get their statements from a few months ago.
6:27 pm
they cannot stand him. it is very interesting. >> justice jeanine: will you be able to work with schumer after all the horrible things? >> it's tough to work with him. i'm surprised. i have known him for a long time. he has gone very far left. he does not have good control of his party. he is not a good leader. i think it will be tough for me to work with him. we'll see. hopefully in 18 we will elect some republican senators because we'll have a margin of two. we will elect more republicans and will have to do it without having to go through that situation with schumer. honestly, what they just want to shostop things and clog up the wheels and we cannot let that happen. >> justice jeanine: i interviewed general kelly last week and he said that he can see in your first term the north korea having the ability put a nuclear warhead on an intercontinental ballistic missile. >> that's what they want to do. they should have been stopped a long time of go. they should have been stopped by obama and before. i remember when clinton wrote in his book about the wonderful deal they made with north korea. they started making missiles the
6:28 pm
next day. >> justice jeanine: what can you do about that? >> i can't talk to about that but i think we're having some very good thoughts. >> are you going to build that wall? >> absolutely. is there question about that? there's no question about it. >> justice jeanine: i spoke with the parents of a young girl who was murder. i cried with the parents. you made this huge sweep. >> they need to get out of the country. they are being swept out of the country so fast. we're going to towns like long island where i grew up. we are going into towns that i have known and the towns are living in fear. >> justice jeanine: there petrified. >> general kelly goes in with his guys and they are tough. this ms 13 somebody said they are the equivalent of al qaeda in terms of their mentality and toughness. we going to towns and people are cheering as we take these people and throw them into the vans.
6:29 pm
it is a most like they have been freed or liberated. this is in the united states. under obama they're just pouring in. so, ms 13, we have thousands of them in this country. they are going very, very fast. >> justice jeanine: finally, you're going to the middle east. saudi arabia, israel, and then rome. >> we are going to the big conference of our countries that we want to help the world. >> justice jeanine: what are you going to accomplish? >> we are going to establish great relationships with different countries that we did not have. you know about a young girl who was in in an egyptian prison. president obama tried three half years to get her out. he was unable to. i had a meeting with general -- of egypt, within one minute we made an agreement and she was released. she was going to be there for 28 years.
6:30 pm
she is a wonderful young person. i will tell you, i was very honored by what the general did. not only her, but her husband out and a total of eight people out. they were going to be there for many years in an egyptian prison. the past administration worked on it for three years, three and half years to be exact. they were unable to do a thing. i got them out in less than one minute. that's what we need. >> justice jeanine: your ability, your successes, all of the things that you can talk about for two hours. how are we going to get that across to the american people? >> i hope they understand it and i hope they see it. again, this was a plan. this is just an excuse that the democrats came up with for losing an election. they lost an election, they lost it badly, and this was just an excuse for losing the election.
6:31 pm
i think people are seen through. i believe that people see through. >> justice jeanine: my political panel is in washington. you will get their reactions next. you can bet they probably will not agree. later, even more from the president and the man i've known nearly 30 years gets personal about the people he loves who are always with him. >> you'd be very proud. he had a very profound impact on my life. >> justice jeanine: plus three of my one-on-one with the presidents, coming up no. with claim rateguard your rates won't go up just because of a claim. i totally could've - no! switching to allstate is worth it. this is the schmidt's yard. and, oh schmidt, that's a lot of dirt. but there's plenty of time for scotts outdoor cleaner plus oxiclean to work it's magic. all while being safe to use around plants and grass. guaranteed. this is a scotts yard.

>> i am marianne, the u.s. pacific command center missile launch today did not have the characteristics of an intercontinental ballistic missile. it was launched north west of the capital pyongyang, they have been using that site to test launch intermediate-range missiles.

6:37 pm
what did you think? >> i really like the way you acknowledged his good works and said to him but mr. president, all of this is being drowned out in effect by the russia story. why not put it away and say let's have an independent investigation. i thought the line of questioning was good and i thought his inter- answer was interesting. he said i want to get to the bottom of it. i want the truth to come out. he shut said we should take the time. this would suggest that he's open to a fair inquiry. i tried to put myself in the other side issue. imagine if hillary clinton won the presidency of fire james comey. what would be the reaction of your organization or network? that's why you're getting the overtop reactions in many cases from a lot of people on my side of the aisle. put it away by having the independent investigation. given it to someone who is separate. >> justice jeanine: but you have a house investigative committee and senate and the fbi.
6:38 pm
maybe we should bring in the u.k. to. >> let's go through this. look at what happened in the obama years. not one special counsel. the gun running on the border getting criminals guns. hillary clinton's e-mails problems. they trailed a fox news reporter, the irs going after tea party opponents. issue after issue. no special prosecutors. guess what? there are laws to handle these things. i think the republicans should been more aggressive. after eight years of not a word about a special prosecutor, within weeks there's and we have to have one. the judge is right, once you have the overlapping investigations it doesn't provide the political clarity the country needs. the president is ray, they can do it quickly. you know what, not one example of one illegal action. what not one russian name. there's nothing to it. it's an investigation search of
6:39 pm
a crime and it needs to come to close. >> justice jeanine: let me ask you this. how do you prove a negative? how long to investigate a case and then say, we can come up with anything. it's over. how long will this overshadow the things he's doing? >> that's exactly what got james comey and how water. he came out and said -- but you are asking how did it come to a close. there comes a point with every prosecutor would say either i have the goods or don't. that's a problem with leaving it in the hands of the committee. it is politics as long as they've got it. >> what's great about james comey is that he had dinner with the president of the united states. the president talks about it, what happens next in the press, we get to hear all of james comey's point of view. wish back on the president, he's a political operative. i know he's a talented lawyer. the fact that he likes being a particle persona.
6:40 pm
here's the thing on the investigation. he loves to leak. he has never leaked one example of anything close to wrongdoing. they don't have the goods on the president. >> justice jeanine: you mean the fbi? just like the hillary clinton e-mails you have to admit, even though it comey comes out on july 5 and lays out the wrongdoing which would amount to a prosecution in my mind. think of the leaks on hillary clinton up to that point. we knew everything. he didn't tell us anything we didn't know. there's been no leaks. >> there's no information that's damning. >> you don't know that. i don't know that, you don't know that. >> then this wild -- with four men die in benghazi. did you see people up in arms? no. >> i think the point is not james comey. it comes down to this. if you want to put someone suspicions to rest and there are suspicions coming out everywhere. if you want to put them to rest than you do have a transparent, nonpolitical actors.
6:41 pm
>> the republicans have to do but not the democrat. >> justice jeanine: thirty seconds. >> it depends on who he picks for the fbi. this thing will come to close because there's nothing there. >> i agree the choice matters. >> justice jeanine: more for law-enforcement? >> i law-enforcement that's unimpeachable. >> i like someone who's the investigator. >> justice jeanine: may be a lawyer to wear a cop? >> you never need a lawyer. >> thanks for being with us tonight. still had, president trump opens up to me about his late brother. it, former u.s. attorney on the shakeup inside the justice department. he knows a lot about this. stay with us. whoa, whoa! you're not taking that. come with me. you're not taking that.
