interfere in the election alone. we have obviously seen the firing of fbi director james comey and we have the president of the united states of america saying that he was looking into this trump-russia thing and was aggravated. the story changed within the white house a number of times. he let sarah huckabee sanders out to dry there that this was on the recommendation of the ag and the deputy ag and then donald trump said, actually, i just decided myself and we did it very quickly and remember as well that ag sessions had said that he was recusing himself from the russia investigation and he was involved in this decision. so we don't know which way is up here but i certainly don't think that this is the democrats' fault. heather: david, what do you think? i feel a feeling you disagree. >> the democrat narrative that's been crafted for months and jessica shifted to the comey issue because that's easy to go after. right now it's big news. the democrats have been crafted narratives not just on russia.

it is known for a long time. narrative is crafted to overplay or overcome the actual crime. the actual crime is the unmasking by the obama administration officials, think about it. general flynn reauthorized by the obama administration last year, security clearance reauthorize, then russia on a trip, if they had concerns about him, where were those concerns then, were they incompetent then. the unmasking is a felony, someone has to go to jail. that person won't be a trump official. trump wasn't in the office then. it would be an obama admin official. heather: that's a good point. why wasn't it a concern then? >> obama administration actually got rid of general flynn and as -- >> no, they didn't. they reauthorized security clearance. >> they took him off that team and general michael flynn under

this new administration as far as i understand from what i have read he was supposed to get security clearance. >> you don't understand how it works then. when you reach that level of clearance, there's -- >> everybody who is saying that general michael flynn did not have the clearance that needed to be an nsa adviser and that the trump administration, extreme vetting did nothing, they took an obama administration recommendation when they -- >> you need to do review of policy. it matters when they claim had concern while russians were committing activity and the only administration in power then was the obama administration. heather: one of the important ways to clear up all of the controversy, any controversy that occurs within the administration are the daily briefings. that's what they are supposed to be for.
