elite liberal media whining and moaning. what is it they want out of the leader of the free world? our commander-in-chief? the president of united states? we obviously know what they prefer. they prefer the world apology tour that obama conducted four over eight years. i don't know if you're a member this, kimberly? there was a joke a t-shirt during the obama years. like a concert t-shirt you get from your favorite band? with all of the greatest hits on the back? that's what it was like with obama. time and time again, going overseas, groveling, trashing america. do you remember in strasburg, france, where he called america "arrogant"? where he apologized to the muslim world for us, taking a stand against terrorism. which he would never do explicitly, of course. all of the whitewashing, the euphemisms, going overseas to europe and apologizing that america would assert itself and assert and defend its own sovereignty. he called that "dictating to the

rest of the world." and finally -- finally we have a president who physically and ideologically will elbow, right? do what he can to make sure america literally is first in those photographs, and we have these gossip girls in the media who are moaning about the length of his handshakes with european leaders. >> fell next oh, it's unbelievable. little crybabies. a band of mean girls running around upset about everything. gossiping, texting each other to say, "oh, can you believe what the president is doing? "if they cannot wrap their heads around the idea that he is doing a great job, that he's been successful -- by the way, that he was far better well-received on this foreign trip than he has been treated here in this country. >> exactly. and look what happens when you assert yourself. you command respect. >> kimberly: yes. >> here, this mystically, you have all of these leftist propagandists, the public and

the media from owning the fact that trump has the gall and the courage to go up at these meetings and say, look, nato? you want to pay your fair share? we take the bulk of that burden and it's time that you put your money where your center money is mall bizarre. and he's not going to be two-phase about it, the way that obama was. and he's not going to be pushing people around, and he's not going to use the kind of language and dulcet tones to deal with either our allies or our enemies. >> by the way, why is it a bad thing that the president is like, everybody pay their fair share? i don't think we need to remind anybody that, listen, when one is attacked, we stand with you. i guess the article five thing. this is sort of obvious. but people are trying to get away with not paying the money, but they want all the benefit, the united states backing them

up while they run around with gator arms and they cannot put their hands in their pockets to pay the dues. >> exactly, kimberly. whether we are talking about nato, g7, or the united nations, the american taxpayer that has been a hero of the world. finally, we have a spokesman to point that out. i think it's interesting juxtaposition when you look at these speeches that donald trump has given on this, the assertiveness tour as a post the apology tour. and takes mark zuckerberg's commencement speech. that's what the liberal media would prefer trump go overseas and do. that our responsibility is to be citizens of the world rather than american citizens putting america first. >> it's on believable. the socialism apology, you know, tour, defendant snapped. president obama did. so he's -- the president has got to have, you know, a team to put together to combat all of these stories to talk about what's going on here at home now, these

crushing collisions investigations, sensational stories that the mainstream media is frothing at the media about. there have been reports that he will set up a war room, street fighters to be able to get out and do the president's messaging. what did you make of these reports? >> i'm glad to hear it. i'm glad to hear steve brandon is going to be the one leading it. >> agree. >> it's this assertive stance of not just sitting back and allowing all of these progressives to hijack the trump agenda, to hijack the narrative. this is why donald trump was put into the white house in the first place. it is a daily slog. i do not envy the folks in the trump administration that have to deal with this. every single day, it's enough they have to combat our international and foreign enemies, but the domestic enemies within this country and -- specifically, kimberly, within the fourth estate?

i think it's important for him to call to the carpet all of these leakers who are the real threat to national security in america. >> it's unbelievable the amount of leaks making america less safe, cover amazing power of national security. it's got to come to a stop. it's completely, you know, affecting his ability to govern and put his policies and platforms forward. but i'm concerned, michelle malkin tomei, he needs the right people around him to get this under control. this is a man about business. he wants to get these things done. he has every intention of fulfilling his campaign promises. but my goodness, who are these people, you know, that are inside the white house, et cetera, that are obstructionist, essentially playing for the other side, crippling the president's ability to get work done? it's frustrating beyond belief. >> it is. i couldn't have said it any better than you just did, kimberly. we've got a west wing, and east wing, and a patriot wing within the white house.

it's that patriot wing that has to have as much support as possible to make sure that trump is able to do his job and fulfilled his promises. one last thing i say about this trip that i think was especially important was although it was tragic, it was also timely that the manchester attack took place to underscore and to provide very sharp punctuation to the trump agenda. the reason why he is the commander-in-chief of this country. because it is the safety, security, and prosperity of our people that enhances not only our country but the rest of the world. >> you are absolutely right. i am going to touch a little bit on the fight against extremism and terrorism. the president very strong on his messaging. i loved it. when he said, "drive them out," he was calling them "evil losers." "he said losers, that's not presidential, that's not a good term." i get what he's doing. he's trying to demean them and counteract against the propaganda that is out there

"the post" says that they have not been told that kushner is a target and has not been accused with wrongdoing. it drew me in only that he is not the focus when the headline said he's the the focus. click bait. >> kimberly: dennis, what do you make of this situation? really, you've got pretty hysterical last night. and even today in terms of his

name-calling to the family, they are sinister, they are bottom feeders. all kinds of craziness. how is this advancing in any way american democracy and political discourse? >> it doesn't, and i don't think it plays very well with the american people. what you see here is the politicization of the fbi with these leaks. and what it's doing is it's tainting any investigation. there is no objectivity here. and it hurts the fbi. but there is another thing with people in the media ought to pay attention to. go back to 1966 supreme court case. sheppard versus maxwell. which showed that presidential publicity was used to overturn a conviction and they saw violations of the first amendment, on the sixth amendment right to a fair trial, and the 14th amendment, due process. there is a legal process that is being usurped here by a very, very invective politics. >> kimberly: it's pretty unbelievable. one of his attorneys, jamie carella, has also released a statement saying that jared

kushner will cooperate like he has done the past, that they have not been contacted by anyone saying that he is the subject of a target of the investigation, and no evidence thus far of wrongdoing. >> all true. very important to say. and what dennis kucinich that is exactly right. we've got to get rid of the politicization of the fbi. i would underscore we do need to have an investigation of what did or did not happen. and the fact there is no evidence now doesn't mean there won't be evidence of wrongdoing. i focus on general flynn, who had unauthorized contact with the russians, was working for the turks when he the was national security designate of the president of united states. there are real issues to investigate, but let's not rush to judgment. >> kimberly: right. again, it's so important to have the due process and, like, dennis mentioned, to make sure we can have a full and fair and impartial hearing, get to the

bottom of this. it's what the american people deserve, but through these red herrings, makes no sense. >> kimberly, we have to be aware of the impact of presidential publicity. for the fbi to produce faith in these leaks actually would destroy any case they would try to build. so this... this is really a wrong approach. it's damaging to our constitution. it hurts our country. the fbi ought to get back to the basic work of doing investigations without trying to convict people through rumors, innuendo, and leaks. >> kimberly: absolutely. they aren't making for process care, joel. they already had problems on their kim jong-un and the hillary clinton investigation. this is unseemly for the fbi. >> this is being done through unnamed sources. every "new york times" and "washington post" record. this is the thing that people at home don't like. they do not know the motive of these sources. they don't know the current ability of resources. they don't have the access to the sources have to the presidents inner circle. the new york's

chris, kris "tanto" paronto. i pulled confident we are going to get to the bottom of it with the two view here. congrats on the new show. cannot wait for that to get started. in the meantime, what can we do here at home and abroad to combat extremism? >> i think that kelly is exactly right. it's really helpful, i think, to have someone as serious as that in charge of fighting the fight against terror who takes it seriously. i think what you have seen over the last few years, and it's not just here in america, but in the u.k. too, there's a lot of talk about fighting terrorism and the people agreeing with how serious it is. if you look at what's actually been going on, it hasn't been good enough. let's take manchester. obviously, it's still very fresh. there's a lot of grief and anger and pain. but while we should reserve most of our anger for the militant islamists who actually did this terrible thing, i think some anger also needs to be reserved for the authorities, because

actually it gets back to this guy with some of these attacks, it turns out that it's known to the authorities, he's actually complained about two when antitumor hotline, it turns out, about six years ago. there was a warning after warning, traveling around libya, syria, he slipped through the nets. there's something going wrong with the way we are approaching this. i think what i'm really pleased to see is when president trump and secretary kelly and the administration really are putting this at the top of the agenda saying they need more resources to fight this thread. that should be reassuring. there was one final thing. actually, what america did after 9/11 was really important, the way everyone said, look, something serious went wrong here. we need to investigate it, review all of our procedures and processes and how we fight terrorism. that hasn't happened in the u.k. america, despite the growing threats, is in a better position today, better than anywhere else in the rest of the world despite

the rising threat we face. >> kimberly: it's interesting that president trump is very aware of this. he's aware of the threat here, he's aware of the front abroad. he made this a key, focal point of his campaign. it's a part of the things, people want to make america safe, national security focus and foreign policy. he emphasized that when he was away on this recent trip, strong messaging, saying drive them ou out. >> that's what you need to do as a leader. you did show strength for the past eight years, we weren't doing that. we were leading from behind. president trump is putting us in the front again and putting my focus. he had dashed after the attack in manchester, he threw the special operations community and they went out and did a raid. sometimes, you have to do that. i for an eye. i like that he's doing that. also, this goes back on the leaks we've talked about. the cia and the the -- they need to get back on fighting terrorism and less being in the political agenda and political arena. that's why i see we need to

concentrate more and have more of a focal point. president trump can do it. he's got somebody great cia director as mike pompeo. where we are not exceeding that. that is cia and s of l make an essay not doing their job, that's combating terrorism. that's bothering me a little bit. >> kimberly: is bothering me too. steve, when you think about this, the u.k. got upset with us that they aren't going to share the intelligence because, you know, loose lips sink ships. they went ahead and said, okay, we are back on board together. it was a matter of hours per nevertheless, while mac. what bad reputation to have. we see these leaks infecting to make affecting our diplomacy and cooperative efforts to combat extremism. >> yeah, i think that's right. it seems to be resolved and we have got to move on. i totally agree with what was just said about how we need to get back to the real business of

>> kimberly: welcome back to "hannity." a recent study has surprising findings about young people and free speech. the berkeley foundation pulled participants from around the world who were born between 1995 and 2001. and according to the study, "support for free speech even if offensive to a religion is highest in turkey. 78%." it goes on, "the report is surprisingly low in countries that are historical champions of free speech. france, 50%, the u.k. 58%, and even the u.s., 62%."

education. so i think it's very pathetic that you got these young people who feel to be sheltered. sheltered from what? in fact, the only two groups that are regularly battered on campus are political conservatives and evangelical christians. otherwise, everyone else has a safe space. it's called "the american campus." it's when you are absolutely right. it's unbelievable to me how this happened. and how the whole thing develop. now, charlie, safe spaces? what is that? is wrong with american youth? they are so ill-prepared then for the real world when they go out there to try to get a job, they aren't going to get hugs and snacks and whatever, they are going to have to work hard and earn their keep and actually open their minds and listen to other viewpoints. >> soft. >> kimberly: soft! brie cheese soft! >> yesterday, i was speaking to a group of 60 -- i was a cleaning what a safe space was, they thought i was making it up.

a safe space, people that don't know, is a physical location on a college campus where college students can seek refuge if they hear ideas that they find frightening to them. now think about that. that this agreement is a form of assault? that you need to actually go find a safe space? in the safe spaces, they have crayons and play-doh and cookies and milk. we aren't making this up. it is soft. what is the agenda behind this? the liberal academic elites, they want to shelter an entire generation from ever hearing an idea or perspective that might disagree with the leftist worldview. dinesh get it out of the park. if there are any point of use that actually did safe spaces, it christians and conservatives! we're the ones were under attack. dinesh is 100% right. >> kimberly: go ahead, dinesh. >> the really powerful people in the college campus or the administration in the faculty. those people are completely supportive of the leftist ideology.
