white house today along with ivanka trump. he was hired as the personal attorney in the ongoing russia probe. the fact that on the president's first full day back goes to show how high a priority this is for the white house. another priority, containing the leaks. president trump tweeted about it four times today while his targets and cabinet members talked about it across the sunday shows. >> it's outrageous. i don't know why people do it. it jeopardizes the investigation and puts people's lives in jeopardy. i don't know why they do it, but they do. that's the world we live in. >> people who violate the privacy acts should go to jail. what happened with the manchester information undermine the british investigation. it weakened our relationship with our allies and is dangerous. whoever leaked that should go to jail. you start putting some people in jail and you will see the leaks dry up. harris: some very aggressive language and you can expect that to intensify during the russian investigation.

>> prison time tends to solve that issue. we've seen other presidents have to deal with it, but not this much. what's on tap this week. >> he is expected to announce his decision on whether or not to pull out or stay in the paris agreement as well as congress working on crafting a budget. even some republican lawmakers said the presidents budget is essentially dead on arrival. >> typically the senate and the house write their own budget, but it does reflect the presidents goals. i actually agree with the goals but would take a different approach. >> 29% reduction in state department funding, that takes our power off the table. everything we've done to eradicate aids is compromised. our ability to helplin jordan ae ukraine and the baltic nations has really been severely limited.

destroying self power does not make it safer. that's what his budget does. >> one more thing to watch for, president trump still needs to name a new fbi director. he came very close to naming a report placement before he left on his first foreign trip. that announcement could come this week. harris: you mentioned the paris agreement, and maybe the white house, with word that they would consider seeing if this could work that they keep the agreement and work to change it from inside. we know this is not a president who backs away from a challenge. it will be interesting to see if he stays in it or gets out. thank you very much. let's get to the latest on the investigation and russia ties. i remind you, democrats on the hill have said time and time again there is no evidence of ties between the former trump campaign in russia but the headline in prime time said to secretary does not know if the reports are true.

they do not know if they proposed a secret back channel with the kremlin but he would not criticize any channels of communication with countries like russia. let's get more on the news from washington. >> the white house is staying very quiet when it comes to the most recent reports on jared kushner and his contacts with the russian ambassador. the secretary john kelly did talk about it on fox news sunday. he doesn't know if the allegations are true, but if they are he's fine with it. >> multiple ways to communicate back and forth is a good thing with any country, particularly a country like russia. it doesn't bother me. >> before he took office trump made a proposal that would bypass diplomatic channels. according to the washington post, the president's son-in-law and top advisers suggested setting up a secret channel between the transition team and moscow and using diplomatic

facilities in russia to do it. there are other reports suggesting kushner failed to disclose at least two phone calls with the russian ambassador that took place between april and november of last year. kershner's attorney told fox news he participated in thousands of phone calls and has no recollection of the calls as described. the dnc said he his security clearance needs to be suspended. the top democrat on the house intelligence committee says it needs to be reviewed. >> we need to get to the bottom of the allegations butb of his security clearance to find out whether he was truthful and candid. if not there's no way he can maintain that clearance. >> it's worth noting the russians are known to spread false information on channels they believe the u.s. is monitoring in an effort to confuse whoever is listening. harris: thank you. the fox report interview has two

friends, opposite sides of the political aisle and they have strong thoughts on how president trump can control the narrative of a domestic agenda now that he is home inside the united states. keep watching. they may not exactly act like friends. dealing with confirmation that communist north korea has fired a short range ballistic missile. this information is still coming together but according to u.s. specific command, it flew for six minutes before splashing down into the sea of japan. it is the latest in a string of launches. the north is pursuing a nuclear missile capable of targeting the u.s. mainland. the country is thought to still be several years away from the goal but they keep doing these launches. more news as we get it on this one. please tell me domestic disputes and crimes are the most unpredictable and dangerous. i take you to roll mississippi, a community in shock after multiple shootings left eight people dead including two children. police arrested a man who they say confessed to killing his

victims at three separate homes overnight. he only stopped when he iran out of bullets. >> the community is torn apart. everyone in this community knows one another. i don't know how to put it into words. i'm speechless. i never would dream this would happen in our small community. we live in a community where everyone helps everyone. i wouldn't be afraid to leave my doors open at night. harris: will car is here. do we know what led to the shooting? >> harris, they were pretty outspoken after he murdered eight people in three locations. when it was all said and done he told a local reporter he wanted to die. >> what's next for you? >> i iran out of bullets.

>> it's hard to hear but he said death was next and his intention was to be shot and killed. instead he was taken into custody. while he was sitting in handcuffs, he spoke about the massacre and about killing the deputy. >> i asked him about the family he had left fatherless and he basically apologized multiple times for having done that, but like i said, he just considered deputy to have just been the one that showed up. he allegedly said everything started with an argument over custody with his kids and there are still a lot of questions but he now faces seven counts of first-degree murder and one count of capital murder. >> this is such a heartbreaking story. among the victims, there was a deputy who was killed. >> he was a proud father and a husband who loved working with

kids. the deputy served as a local youth minister and also enjoyed putting on puppet shows for kids in the area. his loss has devastated the community and the sheriff's department. >> a lot of us have been in shock and out since 1130 last night. we will be out continuing to do our job. we can sit down and go home. we still have a job to do. we have to carry on with it. >> deputy william dürer was 36 years old. harris: thank you. it is police pushing forth with more raids to crush the terror network behind the attack in manchester england at the ariana grande concert. many people turned out for a prayer service.

have to check your laptop if you're flying an international flight into the u.s. it's becoming more difficult for tsa agents to find threats using the normal screening process. that's because passengers are stuffing their carry-on bags more than ever. >> are you going to ban laptops from the cabin on all international flights into and out of the u.s.? >> i might. there is a real threat. there are numerous threats against aviation. that is the thing they are obsessed with, the terrorists, the idea of knocking down an airplane in flight. we will raise the bar for aviation security, much higher than it is now. harris: brian is reporting from times square. if they are obsessed, we've got to get better. >> that's right. good evening to you. security is at the forefront of everyone's mind.

many americans are traveling including here in times square. obviously it's at the forefront of everyone's ppened in manches. even yesterday at newark international, some of the (p< was seen when someone pointed out that someone left a pressure cooker in a brown bag near a trashcan causing a partial evacuation of terminal a. it was not an explosive device, but authorities in and some sources have told the new york post they believe it could have been a dry run. we shall see. security is on everyone's mind. speaking of airport security, john kelly likely will adopt tougher practices nationwide. right now the tsa is trying out these tougher screening processes in ten airports including lax, l.a. and the big concern is passengers will have to start emptying the carry-ons before they get through, during

the checkpoint because they are stuffing them too much. that means it could be harder to find or see explosive devices. >> we are going to raise the bar for aviation security, much higher than it is now. it is a real sophisticated threat and i reserve that decision until we see where it's going. >> part of these increased tsa screenings that are happening at ten u.s. airports include removing large electronic devices, not just your laptop during those checkpoints. that means tablets and e-readers. we verily seen a band instituted in ten airports throughout the middle east. that means all of those flights taking off from those airports

hundreds of thousands of bikers rumbled into our nation's capital to honor and raise awareness for prisoners of war as those missing and action. rolling thunder in its 30th year. they join us from the nations capital with the latest read this is one of my favorite holiday themes. it's so moving. >> organizers say even after 30 years each one seems to be bigger than the last. they estimate as many as 900,000 riders took place in today's ride for freedom. they went from the pentagon to the national mall and we were set up near the lincoln memorial. the first bike came by a little afternoon. it wasn't until three and a half hours later that the final

riders passed by. a lot of them spent the past few days traveling across the country to be here. all 50 states were represented and those from other countries came out as well. they are veterans, goldstar families and just proud americans who each have their own reason for coming. >> we are here to support the armed forces and all those forgotten pows and mias. it's very important to me. i have family members who were in vietnam. today is a very important day for us. it's not about thanking service, it's remembering our fallen. >> it's a tribute to the veterans. i'm a vietnam vet and we can't forget where we've been and where were going. it's the best place to be memorial day weekend. >> their main goal is to continue to push congress on

veteran issues such as the va and recovering the remains of those who died abroad. one thing we kept hearing today was that nothing says memorial day like the sound of thunder from a motorcycle. after being there it's hard to disagree. harris: i know there were some storms in d.c. and the ride was getting started a little bit later. i don't think it impacted thin things, correct. >> i think it would be hard-pressed to find a more patriotic crowd of people on memorial day weekend in this one. you have to remember this is not just some parade. organizers call it a demonstration. you can see, even with the rain, thousands of people were lining the streets to cheer them on and pay their respects to those who have sacrificed and at one time when the rain was really coming down, one veteran who served in vietnam came by and said this isn't so bad. it rained five times as hard in vietnam. that is very fitting because it was actually vietnam veterans who started rolling thunder 30 years ago to ensure for future soldiers came back to the welcome they deserved. >> we don't want the american

white house staffers reportedly bracing for a major overhaul and some may be looking forward to it as the administration looks to revamp the media strategy and weed out some leakers. let's bring in doug schon, former advisor to bill clinton. i said earlier this will be a big fox report interview with two friends, but you might not act like friends by the time it's over. let's get the niceties going. i want to talk a little bit about what needs to happen in this next week with the staff. >> the president has a huge medications problem. it is the republican party that has not been firing on all cylinders.

we've watched the message battle with the democrats. when we go out and can't get our message through that we are achieving results for the american people and democrats are getting the message that we are not, that's a problem. what we need to do is have not only the white house have president trump go out and say what his goals are and how it helps the american people and tell the stories of the american people. >> but you have a medications department. you have a white house press secretary. are those the areas you think need to change? is the bigger issue the leaders. >> i think we have to change who is on camera for briefing. i am sure doug will agree with me. >> i don't know a democrat -- will go ahead. >> this is a much more serious problem than my good friend evan suggests. we've got serious legal problems with the issues relating to the russia investigation. the report friday night that jerrod kushner was setting up his own potential back channel.

it's a very somber and respectful atmosphere here and a very powerful memorial that continues to grow. it's attended by thousands of people throughout this week leaving bouquets of flowers and candles and tribute to the lives lost. one official said the attack is

a reminder of the scale of the problem they are facing with isis weapon rising young people in this society. that's what they think happened here. a local kid radicalized to the point he was willing and able to build a bomb in a backpack and detonated outside the manchester arena. police have released new pictures of him just before he blew himself up and killed 22 others injuring more than 100. there was another raid and arrest this morning and more raids and more people taken into custody this evening. at least 13 men in custody who may be part of the terror network but authorities admit there are thousands of others on jsjxge®xa4pfzeit-psppxg!ta0f bk- normalcy within annual run, a 10k and a marathon. they started with a moment of silence and have your security. church services took on new importance on this first sunday after the attack.

harris: many american see the memorial day weekend as the unofficial start to summer. one group wants to make sure we remember the men and women who have died fighting for america. the group called rally point has launched a national effort encouraging all of us to visit the cemetery and put at least one rose on every fallen soldier's grave. we are also getting an inside look at one of the most interesting and coolest teams on the planet, the blue angels. chris wallace talked with the commander of the squad and got an inside look at a squad that's been reaching great heights for more than a half-century. >> it's focused on that very precise control of the airplane and flying it to the best of your ability and you think ahead what's next. reporter: he is commander of the blue and angels, a precision flight squad. he is in the number one jet leading his team through intricate maneuvers at up to 70. the planes are sometimes just 1. they were in the area to perform at the u.s. naval academy and we
