nearly 11 pounds. >> dana: wow. >> kimberly: but i have this in real life. jesse loves them. >> dana: my "one more thing" will remain a mystery. never miss an episode of "the five" when you set your dvr. "hannity" is next. >> sean: thanks for our friends at "hannity." welcome to "hannity." a key campaign promise fulfilled, pulling america out of the paris climate agreement. great for jobs, the economy, business. vice president mike pence is here and later... other guests will join us. but first, there's a massive effort underway to silence conservatives in america. tonight, it's time to fight fire with fire. we will expose the massive, huge double standard when it comes to liberals and free speech and by the way, we ask the question, where are the so-called champions of civil rights and freedom of speech on the left?
7:01 pm
why aren't liberal commentators like bill maher and steve colbert -- why aren't they speaking out the defending free speech? and this whole effort to sense conservative voices and where is don lemmon, chris matthews, anderson cooper. where are you people? we will display how ugly, vile, vicious the left is to the president, conservatives in this country, so over the top and that is tonight's extremely important opening monologue. as we have been highlighting on this show, there's a well-funded highly organized left-wing effort to silence conservative voices. i've only become the latest target of this left-wing smear machine. thankfully, there's no a movement gaining and momentum. fighting back against all these attacks and defending freedom of
7:02 pm
speech of conservatives. i will have a lot more of that in a few moments but first, why aren't outspoken liberal commentators coming to the defense of conservatives? why do they never do that? i just mentioned there's not a single liberal cable host in america that i know of that has spoken out against the effort to get me fired. not one. for example, there's people like bill maher. they say they stand up for freedom of speech and they have in the past but why are others so eerily silent in this case? nobody came to the defense of me and my rights here. there's a massive double standard when it comes to the first amendment and the left in this country. they get to say and do anything they want when it comes to smearing and attacking conservatives. they don't have to face any backlash, no outrage or boycotts to silence them. this is probably why kathy griffin thought it was okay for
7:03 pm
her to pose like an isis fighter with a bloodied decapitated head that looks like president trump. we must warn you, this photo is graphic. here it is. because her actions were still vile, vicious, disturbing, which she had a leader and admit when she apologized -- there were finally consequences for her. i don't support or condone what she did in any way, shape, manner or form. it's beyond disgusting, offensive and a vial. but did you hear me call for her firing? no, you did not. jim carrey, liberals like him, they are actually defending griffin and making their own vicious, vile smears. watch. >> i think it was a job of the comedian to cross the line at all times. that line is not real. and if you step out of that spotlight and you are doing crazy things, we are the last line of defense. really, the comedians are the
7:04 pm
last voice of truth in this whole thing. >> sean: really, posing like an isis fighter with a decapitated head of the president? not only him but his family, the president's 11-year-old son, barron trump, tmz reported he was watching tv when he first saw that image. he got so scared because he thought it was real. wouldn't you think the left might have a little sympathy or compassion? a little bit of respect for an 11-year-old kid? let alone the president's son? you know what, that didn't stop people from continuing the attacks were supporting kathy griffin. look at what ken jennings tweeted yesterday. that's really sick. that's ugly, twisted.
7:05 pm
imagine if this were ever done to the obama's. and then there's people like stephen colbert. at the beginning of may, he viciously attacked the president in a monologue. you may remember this. >> john dickerson has way too much dignity to trade insults with the president of the united states, to his face. but i, sir, am no john dickerso dickerson. mr. trump, your presidency? i love your presidency. i call it "disgrace the nation." you attract more skinheads than free rogaine. you have more people marching against you than cancer. >> sean: do i think colbert should have said any of that? of course not. i've criticized him for crossing lines in the past but i also push back against the calls to silence his voice at the time. look at this. i will not support these boycotts, monica.
7:06 pm
the fire colbert hashtags -- they can say what they want, if you don't like it, change the channel or watch something else. or turn the tv off. next is bill maher. here's one of the many offensive things he has said about president trump. >> a lot of us thought ivanka is going to be our saving grace. when he's about to [bleep] finland or something, she's going to walk into the bedroom and say daddy... daddy... don't do it, daddy. >> sean: obviously, beyond vulgar and repulsive and of course, i criticized maher at the time for saying it but just like in the case of colbert, i never said his voice should be silenced. i never supported a boycott. don't believe me? let's go to the videotape.
7:07 pm
maher can say what he wants. >> sean: look, i don't agree on much when it comes to bill maher. over the years, we have gone after each other a lot on each other's shows but despite all of the vile and offensive crap he has said over the years, i've never called for him to lose his job. some of you in the audience have been mad at me for not doing that because i defended his right to be so offensive. over the years, i've been consistent on the issue not to try and get shows canceled. people might not like it but i support people like bill maher and their right to say whatever they want to say, even it's about me or the president -- insane, nasty, disagreeable -- i don't want to silence anybody. over the years, let's go to the videotape again. i have defended maher a number of times. i hate to defend you but i think
7:08 pm
you are right in this respect. why can't maher say whatever he wants and let the viewers of the show decide? i have defended bill maher's violent remarks for years. turn the dial. it don't watch don't listen. he has almost become an iconoclast because he's willing to speak the truth when so many others in the media are scared to death. we also have all these liberal hollywood snowflakes spewing all their hatred. people like madonna, ashley judd, they are all unhinged. watch this. >> to our detractors, that insist that this march will never add up to anything? [bleep] you. >> yes, i have thought an awful lot about blowing up the white house. >> i am a nasty woman.
7:09 pm
i am nasty like my blood stains on my bed sheets. >> sean: thought an awful lot about blowing up the white house? this brings us to the destroyed trump propaganda media. we point out how the so-called journalists day after day, night after night viciously strand slander, smear, besmirch the president, one personal attack after the other. pushing tin foil hat conspiracy theories. this is apparently news in the country today. >> >> we better be ready for the fact that he might be leading the republican ticket. >> i know you don't believe that but i want to go on. >> this was a white lash. this was a white lash against a changing country. a white lash against a black
7:10 pm
president, in part. and that is the part where the pain comes. >> he said today america first. it's not just the hit larry and background to it. >> this is a very sad night for the country. you can't polish this turd. >> you called him a fake president. >> sean: journalism in america is dead. the people you just saw have zero credibility. they are partisan ideological hacks. they have been hell-bent on destroying the president from even before the time he got elected. as we have also set on this show, if you don't like what they are saying -- guess what? you can turn the channel. my larger point tonight is this: where is the so-called free speech tolerant left, the champions of free and open exchange of ideas and opinions? when do they ever stand up for conservatives? i haven't seen it. when do they stand up for
7:11 pm
conservative first amendment rights and their ability to speak out, conservatives that are under attack and when their voices are trying to be silence silenced? you watch the clinton-george soros funded groups, when will they go after people on their s? they never do that. look at the disturbing photo from a satire site called the onion. i don't really find it funny. kind of like the kathy griffin decapitated isis look, holding the president's head with all the blood on it. i don't particularly find this funny. nor does my 15-year-old daughter. there is me, bloodied, gruesome, multiple means coming out of a corpse. i don't believe in boycotts. i am consistent. i never have, never will. if we don't fight fire with fire, more conservatives will be isolated, targeted, and in great linsky style and more voices
7:12 pm
will be silenced. my next three guests are doing just that -- fighting back. they are just getting started, they gave us a preview of other hosts whose extreme, they will be highlighting and their advertisers. brent bozell, welcome to the discussion and debate. you have been in the forefront of this hypocrisy for decades. we have had enough too. you know agree and by the way, melanie and brian are not doing a boycott. they are just showing the outrageous things that are said. what are you doing? >> first of all, you and i have disagreed on boycotts in the past. but you use the word consistent, you have always been consistent. the left has been utterly inconsistent and hypocritical because they don't believe in free speech. one kathy griffin was concerned, people ask, how did she not know
7:13 pm
she was crossing a line? the left believes there's no line you can cross. when conservatives are concerned, there's no line because it shouldn't be there. what are we going to do? i think we've had enough, sean. we have to do a little bit of soul-searching ourselves. why is it that we have the far left getting away with consistently calling us racist, homophobic, nazis, everything else they can give and we haven't responded? i guess i drew the line with the attacks on you. one can disagree with what you said but you had every right to say it. i think there comes a point where we say enough is enough. you're going to have conversations with advertisers. the next time you smear a conservative, i will go right to your sponsor and i will ask your sponsor, is this what you are paying for? are these your values? do you believe in character assassination? if so, you ought to be sponsoring this show. if not, you ought to think twice about it.
7:14 pm
we will connect that to you, if you pay for it. >> sean: melanie, some people said it you are only going after one show. tonight, you changed your web site. he said the preview of coming attractions is real. this is not about any one at all. people apparently have said you are only going after one program. you're just exposing what they say and who is paying for it. correct? >> that's correct. i would just like to say, thank you to the hundreds of thousands and millions of sean hannity supporters who have joined our guerrilla expert that has been underway since april 26 with my friend brian maloney and myself. stop the scalping's, a facebook page and at mediaequalizer.com. we are gathering the force of one and turning it into money. it's working. i'm so thrilled to announce that kathy griffin has lost her gig
7:15 pm
at cnn. why? all of our people, 61,000 people who are dialing advertisers over and over again -- it's interesting how liberals really hate to get a taste of their own medicine. that's what we are doing. we are crossing over into the line of well education opportunity. media matters has taught us how to do it correctly. we are emulating their model. you know what? it's working pretty well. >> sean: brian, this is an interesting point. you are not calling for a boycott. i don't watch other cable networks. i had no idea about the type of crap they debate every night. i still support their right to say it. if you isolate/target one conservative, you look at the same treatment. do you think because you said you will be going after people at cbs and abc and cnn and ms --
7:16 pm
if you go after them, do you think these networks will finally, maybe get up to speed with what we have been living through and do you think that maybe they will get the message? you said you'll stop it when they stopped. >> already happening. there's been a key change with the conservative movement, the tables are turning. i'm getting thousands and thousands of emails from fed up americans. the left is in shock with this movement. you can get all the information you need -- it's funny, i've been interviewed by major publications, all of them. cnn -- instead of interviewing with me, they want to argue with me. they want to to go over the tos of your show. why can't sean talk about what he wants? it's not an approved topic, you know? we don't tell them what to write
7:17 pm
about but for some reason, they are are allowed to tell you what you can talk about and if they don't like it, then you should be fired. >> sean: i want to give our audience -- mediaequalizer.com mediaequalizer.com. and mrc.org. >> i want to add one thing, really important. we are unveiling at media equalizer a little feature we like to call coming attractions. the newest attraction on our little button is going to be cnn's don lemon. you might wonder why we are freezing and focusing on don lemon. he's one of the lapdogs of media matters for america. organizing the boycott against you and other conservative talk show host. >> sean: mediaequalizer.com and mrc.org. i think you for all their
