9:00 p.m. on the east coast, everyone tune in and watch. >> thank you, see you sunday. if >> sandra: thanks for joining us tonight, i'm sandra smith, tucker carlson is up next. ♪ >> tucker: good evening and welcome to tucker carlson tonight, earlier this week, kathy griffin released a video of herself posing with a bloodied mannequin had made up to look like president trump, nobody thought it was funny. as performance art, it was lame, least creative stunt of the week by far. as a political statement it didn't make any sense but it did have the effect of briefly making her famous again and that was likely the whole point. today, she elbowed her way back into the news cycle holding a press conference with celebrity misery chaser lisa bloom, here's part of what she said.
5:01 pm
>> that apology absolutely stands. i feel horrible. i have performed in war zones, the idea that that people think of this tragedy is horrifying and it's horrible. if i could redo the whole thing, i would've had a blowup doll and no catch up. i'm gonna make fun of the president and i'm going to make fun of him more now, more. i'm not afraid of donald trump, he's a bully. i've dealt with older white guys trying to keep me down my whole life, my whole career. i just wanted to say, if you don't stand up, you get run ove over. what's happening to me has never happened ever in the history of this great country. a sitting president of the united states and his grown children and the first lady are personally i feel personally trying to ruin my life forever. if this is america, you shouldn't have to die for it. the death threats that i'm

president yet she holds a press conference to announce she's the one who has been wronged. trumamily bullied her, so have unnamed older white guys who have oppressed her despite giving her a series of very high paying jobs. in other words, she is the real victim here. of course she is, liberals are always the victims. being the victim is virtually what it means to be a member of the progress of america. it has more benefits than aaa and its free commitments ever having to say you're sorry, it means being right even when you're wrong. victimhood is modern equivalent of holiness, that's why liberals will say almost anything no matter how ludicrous to get it. remember when president obama the most powerful human being in history use to imply that he was somehow the victim of racial bias? did you catch hillary clinton the other day a month so rich and pampered and she hasn't driven her own car in 30 years complain that sexism prevented her from becoming rich and even

more pampered spirit overpaid a sports fingers make this claim all the time, now even third-rate unfunny comedians. we see a trend because there is one. if the most powerful and richest people on the planet can be victims, who can't be a victim? the most remarkable thing about victimhood as it allows the alleged victims to commit to the very offenses there complaining about. they will crush a bible club at a school bill never even been to and then tell you that other people's beliefs oppressed them. they will take over a college campus forcing spineless administrators to enact every one of their demands and then claimed to be powerless victims of a climate of racism. the they will conduct a nation wide witch christian small businesses if they don't shut them down, they will throw illiterate refugees into cash-strapped public schools and call you a bigot for questioning it.

of course, they will fly private even as they berate you for destroying the world with your suvs. it used to be the point of running a countries to make things better for the people who live there. now the goal it's almost explicit is to achieve moral superiority over the population often while making their lives worse. it's quite a trick and victimhood makes it possible. ann coulter is a writer and thinker nobodies victim, she's also about twice as funny as kathy griffin and she joins us now. victimhood is a magical elixir that makes any kind of behavior possible, it's the perfect tool. >> that was the theme of my book guilty how victims have turned themselves into the aggressors and create other victims. victims of the biggest bullies in the countries now, they have to leap out ahead and a defense first win. it's gotten so much more extreme

on the very same day today that a new email was revealed showing she once requested a separate private plane for michelle obama to fly to betty ford's funeral. there is the former president barack obama who never seems to get the credit, the awesome hypocrisy he displays so deserves. he told us just yesterday that trump's refusal to take co2 emissions seriously could crush future generations and yet here's some what if he has done in january. on the day he left office, he took a marine helicopter to a government owned 747. he flew that across the country to palm springs, california. after a few days of relaxing and 11,000 square-foot mansion, can you imagine the air conditioning required for that? he flew on richard branson's private plane to the caribbean, then he got on a private boat and left on a private jet, took another private jet to tahiti in french polynesia. after that trip wrapped up, he took another private jet to milan for a 14 car caravan where

metaphorical. lot of things you disagree with about trump, fine. the paris agreements that people are upset about right now, i'm just wondering why if you really care about co2 emissions you would back in agreement that doesn't hold a china or india to have the biggest polluters of the world to reducible submissions as the paris agreement doesn't, why would you be in favor of that? >> the u.n. realized after the kyoto agreement -- they decided with john kerry among them to have voluntary standards. how do you make sure that china lives up to its voluntary standards, or germany, or america, or russia? peer pressure around the world, they came up with an idea that is not about hypocrisy. and coulter's right, we are all sinners. on the one sign is donald trump talk about not knowing what's in the agreement is obviously a guy who was quite ill equipped,

5:21 pm
>> you can't make the perfect the enemy of the good, something we would agree with in the abstract. the u.n. and the world can't have an entity that would challenge our sovereignty or china's sovereignty, so they came up with something 194 nations, from kim jong il and to put in to george w. bush said is the best way to continue the acceleration of less carbon. >> tucker: that's not what it says. >> it says it's nonbinding. and every country sets its own standards. >> tucker: why it should we support something that doesn't even set voluntary limits on co2 emissions for china and india, and call that environmentalism? it's the opposite of environmentalism. >> all of our environmentalist, scientists. >> tucker: i'm not asking them. >> my view is identical to 98%

5:23 pm
it requires the united states it, you know that's wrong. >> tucker: it requires united states to pledge that we will do it in a nonbinding way. by the same criteria that will apply to india and china. if co2 itself is a poison as you believe it is, why would we get behind something that allows the biggest co2 emitter in the world to increase its co2 emissions? >> we would like to see less co2 in the atmosphere. >> tucker: you're dodging my question, why wouldn't you have an agreement that says we pledge to reduce it now, not a generation from now? >> we do pledge to start reducing it. they have said voluntarily that we are aiming to reduce carbon overtime. unlike you, i agree with the world scientists, businessmen, you can laugh. spoon i'm asking specific questions come you're appealing to people who aren't here to whose names you don't know, that's not an answer. >> hold it. the answer is with paris countries have a moral suasion
