tuesday? >> what will happen in my opinion is republicans don't deliver on the promises made. they will be held accountable you will see a repeat of bill clinton's first term, which is the house and senate in his first two years. lost control of the house. good thing for the republicans. donald trump has laid out a clear vision to change washing can. if republicans can't get on the track, can't support them, you will be swept out of office in the agenda will be gone. pete: the witchhunt follows this out. there's been speculation he might be part of fighting the back against this witchhunt. is there something that needs to change? does someone need to recuse themselves to turn the corner so it doesn't invoke oleson agenda a lot of people believe them? >> it's very important to know the president has began. another attorney to help with this matter internally.

war, he was never the same. he was always disdained and then my parents divorced and we let this beautiful two-story house in corporate, virginia and all four of us moved to new york, harlem in the 1970s, the most dangerous neighborhood in america and knowledge in a one-bedroom, not apartment, but it was a tough go. and maybe a very bitter person and it took me a long time until last year my mom passed away on may 31st of may father came to the funeral and he spoke. he talked about his first time he ever told us about his adventures in vietnam and a couple of times going out and being the only person to survive. after that, he never wanted to love or trust or anything. it was tough. it was really tough. there's nothing wrong with him and then he just passed away two

we lost three service members a week ago in a similar attack. why are we seeing an increase in its attacks in afghanistan to in afghanistan and what does that mean about the enemy we face? >> these attacks, the taliban infiltrating the afghan army or the afghan police. they know it impacts morale to have sent them like this take place. they spiked a couple years ago and i think what is happening now is i think it is coincidental to the fact that taliban is tuned in to what is going on around them in the region and what's going on in the united states. they know there was a review taking place by this administration as to whether they will increase levels according to the recommendation. i am speculating, but i suspect they are sensitive to that end they will break a lot of code will that afghanistan has is it

worth the trouble. >> call for up to 20,000 troops in afghanistan could the number out there is 4000. under the obama administration, they said this is a finite number we will allow in iraq and afghanistan. how much from a field general perspective does that hurt your ability to fight for you announce a cap the enemy knows about? >> listen, it's pretty frustrating and i said it's a disgrace that is 16 years into this reward and we haven't brought this to a conclusion favorable to lessen the afghan government years ago. that is two primary reasons. in 2,322,008, we could not have sufficient ground forces to fight two wars successfully. from 2008 all the way to 2014, close to 15, the obama administration never, ever made the commitment of resources and

position to come back into congress during the summer and have some legislative victories. whether it's getting health care through the senate, health care repeal and replace through the senate, whether it's tax reform beginning to get rolling in the house. you just had an infrastructure week about a week or so ago that you're rolling out your infrastructure plans. president trump is living up to the promises that he made to the american people during the campaign, and that's really going to be his success with the american people is going to be what they want. what they voted for him is to bring change to washington, and that's what he's been doing. as it relates to the investigation, you know, the president is frustrated, and i know he's frustrated because -- and i'm frustrated for him. look, we've had a seven-month -- longer than seven-month investigation into the ridiculous allegations of collusion between the campaign -- the trump campaign and russia.

over seven months. going on a year now of these allegations, and there's been nothing -- no evidence brought to bear in this case. abby: where on earth are the republicans? where is their outrage? one is judge denene last night. >> you want to talk about russia? let's talk about russia. let's talk about the sale of 20% of our uranium to russia and hillary clinton signing off on the deal. the hillary clinton foundation that slush fund for hillary receiving $140 million and bill clinton getting twice or triple his normal speech fee. you're empowered, damn it. do something. pass something. cut this crap, put on your big boy pants and act. and more importantly, convince us that you're not in on the

i'm going to be honest with you. whether it's the liberal media or democratic leadership in the house and senate. they have a sickness, and that's the hate of donald trump. he beat their candidate. he beat hillary clinton soundly, and they cannot get over that. and so they -- for the last six months have done nothing but try to undermine the president legislatively, and they've done nothing but just inspire the hate in people. you see it on college campuses whether that's taking down the first amendment across the country. and that is the violence that they bring. and this guy who shot steve scalise, you know, is part of what they created. the left created this person and so for these guys to sit out there and say things like that in the aftermath is shameful. >> david, in order for them to get their agenda passed, though, to go back to the original subject for the republicans, they have to get

rid of this witch hunt dust cloud. you've been part of the war room to get this on. is there a change that needs to happen so that you feel you can get a fair shake and move forward with the agenda? >> i think your question is does muller have a conflict of interest with jim comey? and this investigation? and i think that's going to really play out because the statute says if you are a friend. it is hard to investigate someone that you have a professional, personal relationship with. and if there's any two people that have a relationship, a personal relationship as friends, it's jim comey and muller. it is -- these two people go back 20 years together in some of the toughest fights. and so they've had each other's backs. and so to think that muller could investigate him, partially. i know some people say he's a good man. i understand that. but these statutes are written even with good men and women

in mind. so these statutes say that if you have the appearance of an impropriety or conflict, an appearance of conflict or actual conflict, you must step aside, and i think you look at the team that is being built of hillary supporters, of donors being put on this team. i wonder what's going on behind the scenes. why they're doing this? why are they giving the american people even more of a cloud over this investigation? >> and what are they investigating at this point? >> that's right. forget what they're investigating at the moment. pete: thanks a lot. appreciate it. abby: i still can't get over this story retweet. after the shooting happened, we talked about the political rhetoric dying down. this is exactly what we're referring to. someone is fighting for their life, and you point out their politics. >> really? talks about race all the time. >> i think this is coming from across the street. abby: i know what? all i will say is america, we are better than this.

abby: welcome back to fox and friends. in the wake of this week's assassination attempt on republican congressman, many are wondering what can be done to put a stop to these horrific events? one republican congressman is trying to take action by introducing a bill that would allow members of congress to have concealed carry permits in their state also to carry in our nation's capitol. congressman massie, good to have you with us this morning. >> thanks for having me on, abby. abby: and i know you had a number of friends and colleagues who were on the field that last wednesday. it was a it just morning and really a wake-up call. you say congress members are threatened almost every day now, and they don't have any protection, most of them. >> no. they don't. and most people don't realize

house 435 gross man, only five of them have a security detail. so we were very lucky that steve scalise was at the field that day. you know, if he had left early, the security detail would have left with him. just one, quick thing if i may. my bill would extend the, you know, reciprocity, the honor of your concealed carry permit from your home state not only a congressman but also their staff or anybody who works or visits in washington, d.c. so i'm not looking for special privileges for congressman that some have called for. i'm just looking to extend your second amendment rights into the state -- or into the city of washington, d.c. abby: yeah, well, we know the political rhetoric has been out of control lately. it's almost we see at our town hall be represented by these protesters and violence. tell us what do you feel it's like being a congressman. do you feel at times it is an unsettling job to have? >> oh, the an most of the has increased tremendously.

if you just look at the comments on my social media page compared to before the presidential election and after the presidential election, you know, it's just the tone has changed i think much for the worse. and so i think it's dangerous the level of rhetoric out there. but this bill is a common sense solution. if i could point out, two-thirds of the state's already recognized other states concealed carry permit. and so it was their state legislatures that decided to do that. well, washington, d.c.'s legislature is congress. that's the way the constitution is set up. so it's really up to us to decide these types of laws for washington, d.c. a lot of people don't realize that. and with republicans in a majority and a republican in the white house, i think now is the time for washington, d.c. for us to pass the law there that would recognize concealed carry permits from all of the state.

abby: do you think the rhetoric will change? do you think it will change how people interact and how they speak? >> i think it should be a wake-up call and hopefully it's a wake-up call to my colleagues too. you know, when you go out in front of cameras and say republicans are going to cause children to starve or old people to die, that is very dangerous because people take that literally, and it's hyperbole, it's rhetoric, i think it needs to stop. i hope it stops, and i hope we get back to, you know, common discourse. civil discourse. abby: i think we're all hoping for that. congressman massie, thank you so much for being with us this morning. and happy father's day to you. >> happy father's day. abby: to all the fathers out there. coming up, russian collusion allegations are getting more outrageous every day as you hear on the show but some people are wondering where are the republicans defending their president? wait until you hear what our own judge had to say about that. plus, he is a former nfl star and father of five children. now a game plan for families

abby: well, as a father of five, benjamin watson knows a thing or two about parenting this morning and he's revealing his parenting game plan from his new book new dad's playbook. >> nfl player benjamin watson joins us this morning. >> happy father's day to you this morning. >> we are expecting not abby and i but jeff and her husband

are expecting. so what does jeff need to know? >> my husband. >> needs to know he's not going to have all the answers. i'm a perfectionist. i want to do things right all the time and one thing i learned through fatherhood now having five children that you're going to make mistakes. but the key is how do you bounce back from those mistakes? and part of the new dad's playbook is giving guys a game plan, kind of what to expect when you're expecting for guys as they enter into fatherhood or they have kids, and they want to do it better next time. >> how is it different? i'm having a girl. so how is it different raising a boy or a girl because i'm sure there are differences there. >> totally different. we had two girls first. and after the girls, i said ready for some boys, i want some boys, yeah, yeah. but boys are out of control. every morning they would forget what we told them the day before. . >> this comes from your own

experience, benjamin. tell us when you were hard on your mom and your dad would step in and say don't talk to your mom like that. tell us what happened. >> well, one of the biggest parts of fatherhood is the relationship between the husband and wife and father and mother. you set the temperature of the thermostat in your house with how you treat the mother of your children. so i can remember growing up and being kind of mouthy, a little disrespectful, maybe talking back to my mother, and i remember my dad calling home and saying benjamin, you're going to get in trouble when i get home because you talk to my wife in this way. and at that moment, i realize you know what? the most important relationship in the home is between the man and the woman, and that set the tone for how you lead as a father and how you treat your children. you also treat them what it means to treat women. >> i'm a guy, my brother is a guy, just had a little girl zoey a few weeks ago. what advice -- give us the top three things that you would tell the guys in the room. >> don't look into her eyes because she's going to steal your heart.

little girls have a way with their adaddy. like i said, the baby is a girl right now. girls want to -- when they put on that beautiful dress for the first time, and they're only 4 years old, they're going to go to daddy to see if it's beautiful. you are their first love. you have an opportunity to set the stage for them as a father would -- what they're going to look for in a man and what they're going to accept from a man down the road. i've said it before that you are your son's hero and your daughter's first love. abby: i love it. i think every dad needs a little girl at some point. so how do you balance? because you are a professional theta, have had a busy career, my dad, when i think about him today, it's incredible the life he has lived as a diplomat, but he was always there for his family. what advice do you have on balancing it all? >> well, it's all about time. and it's about how you spend your time. you're going to have to say "no" to certain things. but when you're home, your

which is often times what dads do. your dad's job is to teach you to take a lump -- >> but also on the big and the small things, my grandfather said you are not making that right, and he would make sure you made the bed so you could bounce that quarter off it, because he was in world war world war ii. pete: the president waking up in camp david after a long week of questions about this special counsel, bob mueller x there's even more questions about whether the president should fire the special prosecutor, bob mueller. what should be done with rod rosenstein, are there conflicts? is there investigation turning into an inquisition? we've heard a lot of people on the program with a lot of opinions about where this goes. because if you want to get the agenda across, you've got to get the cloud of so-called obstruction investigation out of the way. well, we had newt gingrich, i don't know what program he was on last night, but he had this to say about it. >> one of the people they've

hired, the mueller's hired, actually worked for the clinton foundation fighting freedom of information act request. now think about that. if you want a guarantee of non-transparency, have the person who's defending the clinton foundation against requests for transparency. abby: there you have it. i mean, as you said, we've had guests all morning long too that are posing the same questions as to what is even going on in this investigation. corey lewandowski was one of those just two hours ago. here's what he said. >> now you have to ask yourself what is robert mueller's job anymore? because the public testimony that jim comey has given, democrats have agreed to, is that there has been absolutely no collusion with the russians in any way, shape or form of this campaign and, candidly, of the election outcome which means donald trump won fair and square. what is mueller supposed to be investigating? what we've seen, unfortunately, is the individuals he's bringing onboard for this investigation are main contributors to hillary clinton's election campaign, they're partisan hacks, they're

part of the deep state, and they have a different agenda which is to destroy this president. the question is, why is this investigation continuing. abby: and the next question is what do you do? we've been talking about this all morning, you know, if the president fires mueller, that obviously looks terrible in terms of political optics. you're the lawyer here. what should you do if you were president trump? you obviously want a fair investigation, but most importantly, you want it to be over with as soon as possible. >> it is a really tough situation. i thought that bob mueller or was an excellent choice. now i am not so sure, because you can't tell me while these lawyers he has hired i guarantee are amazing attorneys, the best of the best, you can't tell me you couldn't find more nonpartisan attorneys somewhere out there in america. prosecutors, they are all over the place. everybody's goal when you are the top of your law school class, by and large, you're getting the 3.9s and the 4.0, you are routed to be a prosecutor, quite frankly. you want to go to the u.s.

attorney's office. you cant tell me -- can't tell me you couldn't find somebody more partisan than -- pete: who's best buddies with james comey. the question that lewandowski asked is what are they investigating at this point? if we know there was no collusion, exactly what are they looking for? that's why the president continues to call it a witch hunt. now, they're fighting back by putting out their own lawyers, the trump administration -- jay sekulow will be doing the sunday shows, he'll be fighting back. they're empowering surrogates and the president using his twitter account, they want to get past. abby: but democrats are in unison here. they are going to focus on this investigation. they want the headlines to be against president trump. they're all together on this, so there's some frustration out there about republicans, where are republicans, why are they not fighting back harder. our own judge jeanine is one of those people questioning that. here she was last night. >> you want to the talk russia?

let's talk about russia. let's talk about the sale of 20% of our uranium to russia and hillary clinton signing off on the deal. the clinton foundation, that slush fund for hillary receiving $140 million. and bill clinton getting more than twice or triple his normal speech fee. you're um peared, dammit -- empowered, dammit. do something. cut this "kumbaya" crap, put on your big boy pants and act like you're in power. act like you give a damn! and more importantly, convince us that you are not in on the effort to take down the president of the united states. pete: as you guys said, the democrats are united. they've got their talking points, they're resisting. we recognize you're not going to get any democratic votes. if so, then when will republicans close ranks? i want to put out a missing poster for mitch mcconnell. what's he doing?

where is he being full-throated about fighting back against this resistance? they're not only to going to lose their agenda, they're going to lose at the ballot box. abby: and some of these attacks have been sick. i mean, already talking politics when you talk about representative scalise and the shooting that happened last week. it should have changed the way we talk about things, really lowered -- >> it did for about 13 seconds. abby: he's already tweeted out something that was nasty about criticizing his politics while he is still fighting for his life in the hospital. it's absolutely horrible. david bossie was on earlier, and he says the dems' attacks, they are shameful. >> these people are sick. i'm going to be honest with you, whether it's the liberal media or the democratic leadership in the house and senate, they have a sickness, and that sickness is their hate of donald trump. he beat their candidate. he beat hillary clinton soundly, and they cannot get over that. and so they, for the last six months, have done nothing but

try to undermine the president legislatively, and they've done nothing but just unspire the hate -- inspire the hate in people. and this guy who shot steve scalise, you know, is part of what they created. the left created this person. and so for these guys to sit out there and say things like that in the aftermath is -- abby: oh, it's -- >> it's shameful. pete: you've been fired up all morning about what joy reid tweeted out. abby: we need to be a lot more thoughtful about what we say. when we press this buston on twitter, who's responsible for pressing that button? you are responsible for that, and you're responsible for the language you use. pete: and what she had posted was repeal and replace obamacare, somehow you're an extremist republican if you believe -- that's what happens when you dehumanize the other. you're just an extremist, and then you use race-baiting language, you make the problem

worse. thankfully, some people on this program want to change this conversation. >> if the democrats were this organized as they are in the resistance with trying to put forth a candidate, maybe we would be in a different position, maybe one of the democrats would be in office. they couldn't figure it out during the campaign but, boy, they have figured it out now, and it really has led to this harsh rhetoric especially from the liberals, but there has been some conservative rhetoric. and ted nugent has said i'm going to pull back a little, and maybe, maybe the left will pull back too. here's what he had to say. >> well, you know, not different. i like to use the word upgrade. my intensity will not back down one spit. my passion and my sincerity will not back down one iota. but i am going to make sure that in a debate that i am civil. i just think in these heightened, exciting times politically i am reaching out across the aisle, and i'm saying

we must all unite to bring no violence, no harm to any of our fellow americans. abby: so we know ted nugent, he's a very passionate man, but he's also said things that have been very offensive to a lot of people. he said his wife and his daughter sat him down and had a conversation about speaking in a way that maybe doesn't come across so fencive. i think he has some great advice for himself and for people from all political backgrounds. pete: democrats have wives and daughters too. you said, todd, hopefully the left -- elizabeth warren says i'm only going to get nastier. so republicans closing ranks responsibly, they have to do so -- abby: you know what speaks louder than any nasty word out there? action. if republicans can come together and really work with the president on some big, bold ideas -- tax reform, health care, immigration, you name it -- get those things done, no one is going to stop you at the

polls. we've heard that all morning long. now so to some other headlines, starting with the navy -- [inaudible] a senior u.s. official telling fox news all seven or were found dead on the uss fitzgerald. the ship colliding with a merchant ship off the coast of japan while many sailors were sleeping. the bodies were found inside the flooded compartments of the damaged destroyer. five other sailors including the ship's commander were injured. and more than two dozen people are injured after a deck collapses at a montana lodge are. the incident happening during a memorial service. about 50 people were there and about a dozen were sent to the hospital. a witness saying the deck felt, quote, spongy on one side just before collapsing. police are still investigating what happened. and we may soon find out when the supreme court will review the case against the president's travel order. the high court could decide to hear it by the end of week and are expected to be fully briefed

are you frustrated as a longtime trump supporter with the fact that republicans in the house and the senate especially are not able to close ranks and move things forward? be. >> happy father's day. yeah, i am. and i'm really disappointed in the senate, in the senate, in the senate. i mean, that's -- the house of representatives, we've passed numerous bills, lots of great deregulation, tax reform's going -- it's already started in the house. it's the senate. it's that simple. they are slow, and they need to, you know, get off of their tails and pass something. we have to pass health care reform prior to doing tax reform, and they're doing nothing. pete: yeah. >> hopefully, trump and the house can triangulate on the senate so we can put pressure on them to do their jobs. pet president we've been talking -- pete: we've been talking about not getting a single vote from democrats. until we fight back, metaphorically fight back, politically fight back, we're

not going to get to the 51 votes, and we're not going to make the change we were supposed to. mitch mcconnell, these other folks, is there no fighting spiritsome do they not truly support president trump? what is it? >> every senator has their own plan, that's the problem. in the house we have to work together. in the senate you probably have 50 senators, each with their own health care plan, 50 republican senators each with their own tax plan, and they take so long to do stuff. pete: and they all want to be president. >> they all want to be president, they all want to be famous, they don't want to lose their seats. so the house is going to keep passing stuff, it's the senate. trump really needs to go after those republican senators in those state that is he won and the democrat senators but, you know, trump needs to go on his twitter, go on television and try -- quit trying to be friends. go after the senate and let the american people know where the problem is. and it's in the senate. pete: do republicans in the senate need new leadership? or is there a small portion of the party that won't come to the table? what is it?

can you name names? >> no, actually. you know, because i don't know. we have our own problems in the house, so i don't focus too much on the senate. but, you know, each senator is his own little god. each senator has so much pull and power because it just takes one senator to block something on the senate floor, right? you have to get all of them together. and when each senator thinks he or she is the only right perp on the subject -- person on the subject, it's hard to the get anything done in the senate. pete: that's something that's well understood but for the american people who sent this president there with a mandate to do big things, you can understand the frustration. >> yeah. and i have the frustration too. of it's really hard in the house especially to take vote after vote after vote and have the senate do nothing, and then have the entirety of congress be blamed for it. pete: congressman, thanks a lot for joining us this morning. we appreciate it. >> thanks. pete: coming up, kiev scalise is still in the hospital, but that isn't stopping the so-called mainstream media from attacking

city councilman joe morrellly and chuck roach cha. i know, joe, you have a 2-year-old son. special day for you. are you a dad? >> i am a father and a granddad to the roach cha boys. be. abby: joe, we'll start with you. i can't get over this. he is fighting for his life in the hospital, representative scalise, and here we already have people talking about his poll politics in a way they don't agree with. what is happening? >> i don't know. we had this one, beautiful moment for 24 hours after this horrible attack that we really came together, and now all that's put by the wayside. you also see senator elizabeth warren, i mean, someone who's a nut on twitter, i get. but you're a u.s. senator, and you are using a moment just days after a gop congressman was shot by a guy with a kill list of gop senators to tell people that, donald, you ain't seen nasty yet. is it going to get worse? this is what the democratic party has become.

and it's absurd. as a party, judge jeanine is right, we need to push back on this culture war and defend our president. abby: and, chuck, you're a good man. here's what joy reid tweeted. she said representative scalise was shot by a white man with a violent background and saved by a black lesbian police officer, and yet she points out a few of the things that he has cosponsored a bill there, he fights for traditional marriage, things that, you know, he's passionate about. but you think about the timing of this, chuck, you think about this nation coming together in this moment, and i can't help but think this is exactly what we don't need right now. >> i've done campaigns for 26 years now, started in east texas. ann richards was my first race. i've seen politics change a lot, and the biggest change has been social media, the far left, the far right, the likes, the shares, the viewers. and sometimes, and i think it's the worst part of my industry, is you throw them red meat so you can get more likes and shares and tweets which is not

for what's best. i could not disagree with steve scalise more so than anybody out there. do i think he loves america as much as i do? i absolutely believe that. we just have two different visions on how to get there. you can be respectful and still talk about debate without being personal and insensitive. abby: that is so well said, chuck. joe, what needs to happen? because it seems like the democrats are often times unified in their attack mode. republicans, do they need to step up? do they need to do a better job of rallying together and getting behind their president? as i said earlier, actions speak a lot louder than words right now. if they can get some things done, i think everyone would be happy about that. >> right. and that's the best thing they can do right now. we saw it's the media. there is, basically, a culture war going on, and the left nose exactly -- knows exactly what it's doing. kathy griffin took a hit last week, but the show went on in central park last night and all these things have happened. we are losing the battle because

pete: we're back with some quick headlines. americans plan to spend big bucks to show how much they appreciate dad, people will spend nearly $7 billion on father's -- $17 billion on father's day. the most popular gift? getting dad out of the house in addition to ties. >> you're absolutely right, abby, we need to see some action, no doubt about it. having said that, i do not buy into the idea that tax reform is dead. now, there is a part of the tax plan at the house right now that is getting real pushback, and that is the so-called border adjustment tax where peoples would be paid a tax at the border when they want to bring products into our shores. now, the issue is like you take an automaker, for example. automakers, they have components within their cars, like let's say the seat is made in mexico and there's a component that goes in that seat. certain things will go over the border six, seven, eight times. so having a border adjustment tax that's going to keep taxing you every time you're trying to import a car, that's one of the issues. retailers have complained, oil companies, auto manufacturers, because it's just going to lead to higher prices. if a company has to pay a higher tax at the border, they're going to raise prices. but i had the ceo of harley davidson yesterday, and he

basically said, look, when i sell a motorcycle into india, they charge me blood $100%, chi, 90%. that's why president trump and told me about this so-called reciprocal tax. they'll come up with that $1 trillion in revenue somewhere else. that's -- pete: isn't that a microcosm for what's wrong with the republican party right now? todd: there's not 100% agreement on the border adjustment tax. you see that with other aspects of the president's agenda. >> that's the issue. the dems, when they want something, they all get on line and sing the same song, and they all go with it. the republicans don't. the republicans and their principles, they stick to their principles. there's a lot of congressmen who say i can't support eliminating a deduction for my home. i can't support eliminating the deduction for state income tax. so therein lies the problem. they have to come to an agreement -- pete: $20 trillion in debt.

i mean, if you stand on every little, small ledge and die there, the whole thing dies together. you're going to have senator rubio -- >> yes. and i'm going to ask him straight out. pete: someone like him, whatever what are they doing in the senate? >> i'm going to speak with senator rubio, and we're going to talk about what the heck is going on with this health care bill sitting in the senate. when will they deliver to the house? the house says, look, we'll accept whatever the senate delivers, and then we're going to move forward for legislation. if they can get health care done before the august recess, there is, there is a shot the believe that they could come to agreement on tax reform after the summertime even if it's not a broad tax reform plan that everybody wanted and it's just tax cuts, i think that would save them as well. abby: they're all pointing fingers right now at each other within the same party. does president trump need to play a bigger role? >> i think he does. abby: i'm a business match, i can bring people together. >> he's going to have to play a bigger role. he's going to have to start

calling out people who are not supporting because the fact the american people voted for this agenda in november. they want to see a change in health care, they want to see lore taxes, and if he can get something done on infrastructure, great too. we're also going to speak with congressman mo brooks, he played an integral part in helping steve scalise on the field, you remember he used his belt as a attorney yet. he's going to -- tourniquet. he's going to give us an update. he's still in the hospital and now he's in serious condition, not critical. abby: it's going to be a great show, maria. i've been glued to your show all morning. pete: well, up next, these three fathers all run their own successful small business, and they were inspired by their kids. you'll meet these entrepreneurs next. ♪ ♪

[laughter] what is all this? >> well, mason inspired me to

build a toy that bridged the gap between stacking blocks, typical stacking blocks and bricks and engineering toys that don't begin until about age 10. so i wanted to create something that was good for kids and families and also good in schools so kids could learn and explore engineering at a younger age. abby: and most importantly, keeps them busy for a very long time. that's right. abby: how long would this thing take to build? >> well, for a kid like mason, probably take about an hour. abby: someone like me probably about three days.
