musical artist. that's how you do a fast "one more thing." >> dana: never miss an episode of "the five." "hannity" is next and i have seven seconds left. >> sean: thanks to our friends on "the five." a special "hannity" investigation into the rampant hypocrisy from the left. of course the district from media, when it comes to the issue of election interference. newt gingrich, kellyanne conway, geraldo rivera will all be here with reaction tonight. first, this may surprise you. for once, i agree that the outreach coming from the democrats and district from media is now pointing in the wrong direction. that's tonight's opening monologue. in the middle of yet another destroy trump propaganda, foaming at the mouth feeding frenzy, donald trump, jr., joined us to explain his meeting
7:01 pm
back in 2016 with a russian lawyer. i asked him question after question. frankly until i cannot think of any other questions and to his credit, he answered everything single one of them. what's to the dismay of democrats and leftist media, there was no shocking revelation. what we ended up with is this: he was approached about setting up a meeting with op research on hillary clinton. he took the meeting, about 20 minutes. the russian lawyer had nothing. they never talked again. the lawyer says she does not work for the russian government. now that we have that out of the way, i want to highlight the democrats in the collective outrage over so-called election interference, fake news, and how they are completely wrong and completely misguided. let's start with the idea of a foreign government interfering in elections and how god-awful it is. take a look.
7:02 pm
>> there is also direct evidence of people in the trump campaign at the highest levels conspiring with a foreign adversary to influence our election. >> colluded with a foreign power, partnering with russia to try to influence our presidential election, it certainly raises questions. >> are you concerned about don jr. and other members of the trump campaign meeting with russian lawyers claiming to be representatives of the russian government? or claiming to be part of a bigger plane on the russian government to influence the election? >> sean: if the media -- if they are really so upset about all of that, they should be morally outraged and hysterical about this very explosive report from politico on january 11th, this year. here's the headline...
7:03 pm
now, in the article, political explains how a dnc operative actually paid a ukrainian government official -- they worked to aid the dnc and the hillary clinton campaign. to hurt donald trump during the 2016 election. the report details how this democratic operative, who used to work at the clinton white house, lead this effort and even met with the ukrainian diplomats at the ukrainian embassy to talk about ways to expose former trump campaign manager paul manafort and hurt the campaign. this operative went on to describe those ukrainian officials as being "helpful" when it came to leeds to pick up information, dirt on donald trump in his campaign. then this quote... so, this dnc operative, paid, was working with ukraine and also sharing potentially
7:04 pm
damaging information with the dnc and hillary clinton's campaign. then to top it all off, the dnc operative also said that she would give off the record information and guidance "to a lot of journalists." you know, those people that suck it all in. they were trying to write stories about the trump campaign and paul manafort. maybe that's why the media doesn't want you to know about this story. were they complicit in this foreign plot to damage the trump campaign? here's another example that has been completely ignored. back in 2014, an israeli political group used $300,000 from the obama state department in a grant to create a political apparatus. for what purpose? to try to defeat one of our closest allies, to defeat the israeli prime minister, benjamin netanyahu. next is the media and the
7:05 pm
democrats. the ones that are so apoplectic about the idea of collusion. why have they never reported any of these stories to you? take a look. >> i told you i thought there was a criminal plan and these were his allies. i had a resolution back in february that said it should be investigated for collusion. >> i would characterize it this way outside of the investigation, there is circumstantial evidence of collusion. >> the last six months -- collusion is not even on the table -- it has been undone by the president's son's own words. >> this is evidence to commit collusion. >> a federal judge found the people in trump's organization were colluding with the russians. >> what would change the world as if russia was interfering in the election and they weren't doing it on their own. he was in on it. >> sean: what a bunch of phonies and hypocrites.
7:06 pm
if they are so upset about all that, maybe they should look to a real example, real russia collusion. i'm talking about the uranium one deal that the media never talks about. during her tenure as secretary of state, hillary clinton approved up to 20% of america's uranium to be transferred, the foundational material for nuclear weapons. it went to vladimir putin and the russians. the people that benefited from that deal, they kicked back. more than $145 million into the clinton foundation. and at the same time, bill clinton like he always does, trying to enrich himself further, he doubled his speaking fees in moscow. you don't have to connect the dots on this one because it's so obvious -- pay to play, where i grew up, we call it bribery. the clinton stuffed their pockets while putting america's security in jeopardy. that's almost as dumb as the
7:07 pm
uranium deal. misdirected outraged by the left -- hillary clinton, barack obama, the media, all freaking out over fake news. they are fake news. watch this. >> voters who are being targeted with all of this false information are generally trying to make up their mind. they have to help prevent fake news from becoming a new reality. it does influence how people think of themselves, see the world, the decisions that they make. >> the general misinformation from all kinds of sources, domestic, foreign, on social media... that make it very difficult for voters to figure out what's true and what is not. >> we are entering a terrible new age of information warfare. it reminds me of the old adage. >> sean: in 2008, journalism is dead.
7:08 pm
that's what i said. the left complaining about fake news, pretty much every news organization has gotten it wrong going after president trump. they colluded back in the campaign and were exposed to basically working with the clinton campaign. remember that? remember wikileaks? cnn is out on front for most of this stuff. he is the most overlooked outs aspect. they propagandize. check out this headline from "the washington times." other writers, well-known, he's talking about the fake it, the discredited. remember christopher steele? the dossier on president trump? he pointed out that the sources included a senior russian foreign ministry figure.
7:09 pm
a top level russia intelligence messenger. a senior russian government official and a senior kremlin official. they were spreading information directly sourced to the highest level of the russian government. instead of stopping all of this -- the dossier was passed around for months and months, eventually published by buzzfeed, routinely cited by democrats who repeated the false claims to attack president trump. that was about the ritz-carlton and hookers and i won't go any further. it led to an investigation. the group behind this phony dossier, fusion gps. their sample ties to the democrats, including clinton allies. the double standard here is spectacular. as we have seen time and time again, democrats are willing to put their party and politics
7:10 pm
before anything else. even if it means lying to you. in the case of donald trump, jr., he came on this program last night and answered every tough question about the meeting. isn't it time for hillary clinton, the democrats, the media and all these people -- ukraine, those in the dnc, to do the same? you know the democrats colluded with ukraine. it is incontrovertible. we know a dnc operative met with ukrainian diplomats and shared information. we know members of the ukrainian government worked to undermine the trump campaign, which eventually led to the removal of paul manafort when he was the campaign manager. that has all been proven. the questions we need answers to now, what else took place? how far do these people go? what it hillary clinton know and when did she know it and was she directly involved? this double standard and hypocrisy is despicable.
7:11 pm
especially when you consider how the media and the democrats in this country for almost 11 months have been freaking out nonstop, never ending. black helicopter tinfoil hat conspiracy theories. they've been proven to be based on nothing. all the while ignoring mountains of evidence, numerous cases that show real election interference and real russian collusion and ukrainian collision. joining us now, author of the number one "new york times" bestseller -- newt gingrich. mr. speaker, good to see you. >> it's good to be with you. before we go on other things, i want to tell you. my wife and i watched last night with fascination. we thought don jr. did a great job. i happen to be with his dad this afternoon in the oval office. as we chatted, is very proud of don. he thought it was a really great interview. he watched it carefully. i think it was a really, really

7:13 pm
>> here's a way to think of the current elite media. they rush past the bank robbery to get one of us for jaywalking. that's how bad it is. as far as we are concerned, there's no problem on the left, no collision on the left, but boy, you have to watch out for those republicans. they might have had a 20 minute meeting. it's absurd. i've said several times now that this is actually much more like the famous play "the crucible," it's about the witchcraft trials of salem. you have a news media elite which wakes up every morning saying i know trump did something terrible, i wonder what it was. then they spend the whole day looking for an excuse to write a bombshell shocking story. i mean, i listened to some
7:14 pm
reporters this afternoon. sarah huckabee sanders was during the briefing. now that we know it's a hard fact that there was a meeting and it involved collusion, this reporter is building an entire case that is totally false. then he springs from that false case with even more outrageous questions. that is what we're up against. i predict that for the eight years of the term presidency, we will be in this fight. on some topic. something else later. it will never go away. >> sean: maybe you are right. i would like every american that knows about the lies and the conspiracy theories -- there's no evidence of collusion. zero. after thousands of hours. how many articles written? but there is evidence of collusion with ukrainian government and the clinton campaign and the dnc. by the way, when you get to the

7:16 pm
he certainly going to look into the 20 minute meeting that don jr. had. his bob mueller willing to look into the collusion with the ukrainians on behalf of the democrats? or is he only running a one sided partisan antitrust investigation? >> sean: we have to take a break. we will have more with former speaker of the house, newt gingrich. we will check in with kellyanne conway. she will react to my interview with donald trump you do not, jr., and later tonight, joe scarborough saying he's leaving the g.o.p. while back. wait until you see the most embarrassing musical moment perhaps in late-night television history. that's straight ahead.
