10:00 pm
last time. >> never miss an episode of "the five." "hannity" up next. >> welcome do "hannity." this is a fox news alert, the destroy trump media are continuing their meltdown over president trump and now pushing a new conspiracy theory. they want you to think he's crazy. media, pot, kettle? since the bias press wants to pretend to be psychology experts we'll beat them at their own game, we'll diagnose these lefty leftist ideologues suffering from the trump syndrome and we'll continue to do the job the media should be doing and that's telling you the truth about the trump presidency. you'll get this nowhere else on cable. tonight's opening monologue.
10:01 pm
>> all right, so the conspiracy theorists are at it again. after failed attempts to smear president trump with cries of "russia, russia, russia" and claiming he was about to start a nuclear war with north korea and painting the president as one way, the leftist hacks have created a fake news, new talking point in their echo chamber. members of the media say they know it all. media are now pre tending to be experts in psychology and have found a new way to delegitimize president trump. they are now claiming he is unhinged. he's unfit to serve. here's the counselor to the president kellyanne conway. >> it's an absurd analysis.
10:02 pm
there's a lot of people on tv -- i am old enough to remember when news stations reported the news. >> now, kellyanne is spot upon to highlight this out of control bias, we'll use the sound we used last night. remember this? [dinging] >> you'll see how leftist the ideology is in the leftist media. let's look at the press claiming he is unfit to serve. they all echo each other. >> you're behavior is causing great concern among the math outer of the american people [ding] >> is he suffering from some kind of illness? [ding] >> the only explanation for trump's dust gusting unpresidential behavior is early

[ding] >> that's not sane behavior. the only defensible excuse is that he is not mentally well. >> a man who suffers from a clinical form of idiocy. >> do you think the president's stable? >> no. [ding] >> when you think they can't go lower this is the new standard on cnn and msnbc. the smears don't stop there. they claim the president is unhinged. they all echo each other like they all live in the same fish bowl. >> the president's speech was
10:04 pm
labeleded unhinged. >> he had awhile and unhinged campaign rally. >> he's unhinged. it's embarrassing. >> that was a president unhinged. there's little doubt about that for anyone watching. >> i think the president is unfit. i think the president is unhinged. many of us have known that for 18 months. >> what we're dealing with now is a problematic president, an irrational president. >> he's obviously desperate. i think he must know on some level he's failing miserably. >> now it's time for me to diagnose them. i'll put up the same degrees they have. there's my degree. there's suffering from being a bunch of overpaid, pampered, wait out of touch people who are suffering from trump derangement syndrome.
10:05 pm
see, i got my degree. what happened to the media reporting truth and facts and being fair, balanced and objective. what we're seeing now is beyond media malpractice. they're doing a tremendous disservice to you and the country by spreading lies and falsehoods about the president and advancing their agenda. they're so blinded by the hatred of the president it makes them seemingly incapable to ever tell the truth. don't forget the so-called journalists are supposed to be informing you of the news of the day. they were exposed by wikileaks in colluding with hillary clinton's campaign. look at the examples on the side of your screen. the media has been exposed again and again as being massive purveyors of phony fake news and the president continues to call them out almost on a daily basis. it's caused a massive informational crisis. right now the left has zero
10:06 pm
credibility with most people. look at their approval rate. the press is so fixated in going after the president and taking him down and his family down and the people close to him down, they don't care any longer about getting it right or telling the truth. that's sad. one example pam . one example is that the vice president is run shadow campaign and the vice president said it's false. that's one of literally hundreds of examples of fake news. instead of reporting the facts, the liberal press are more focussed on advancing their leftist ideological extreme political agenda. they create conspiracy theory after conspiracy theory. they smear the president every chance they get. the media never reports on the mess president obama left behind and not reporting on what the president has accomplished, what his agenda is, what his
10:07 pm
solutions are and how he's trying to fix things. they seemingly don't care about the people that should matter the most. forgotten men and women of this country who made the big difference in this election that are suffering daily. now, i honestly think we're the only show who talks regularly, 50 million americans on food stamps. 15 million more under obama. 8 million more after obama. 95 million americans out of the labor force. now it's down to 94 million but under obama the lowest labor participation rates since the '70s and the lowest home ownership rate under obama and he doubled the national debt. i can go on all night. these are facts. the media never told you the entire election season about these things and now that the president is in office the media is changing their tactic. they refuse to report on this
10:08 pm
president's accomplishments because why, it will make them look good? as members of the lazy press they don't want to do their job? i'll do it for them. here's everything. we'll go through the whole list the media will not tell you about the president's accomplishments. and by the way this is not even a full list and to emphasize and we'll bring our sound back to get the tone deaf media's attention. being nominated, the senate confirmed the promise of neil gorsuch and the stock market is at an all-time high. under president trump more than a million jobs have been created. mortgage applications have up to a seven-year high. unemployment rate under president trump a 16-year low. the president signed the promoting women and entrepreneurship act, success. he gutted obama irregulations.
10:09 pm
the president ended the war on coal. he weakened the ridiculous dodd-frank regulation. the president trump is promoting hiring and buying americans. and investments on major businesses promising to spend on factories here in america. the president's policies have reduced illegal immigration by over 70%. the border wall is underway. the president is trying to secure congressional funding. that's a win. the administration fighting back against sanctuary cities. he created the victims of immigration and crime crisis. he works to reduce the cost of fighter jets. the president sanctioned iran over its missile program and as commander-in-chief he responded
10:10 pm
to syria's use of chemical weapons and reduced the tax reform plan. the administration is renegotiating nafta. they withdraw from the trans-pacific partnership. he removed the united states from the paris accord. another promise. the president created a task force to reduce crime. the justice department is targeting brutal gangs like ms13. the president signed an order to promote energy independence and signed an order to protect police officers and limit drug cartels and signed an executive order for religious freedom. he's working to send education back to the states which is smart. the president is fixing the department of veterans affairs. the supreme court upheld part of the president's temporary travel ban executive order. he authorized the construction of the keystone complain pipeli.
10:11 pm
they rolled back the ridiculous cuba policy. food stamp use is now at a seven-year low after soaring under barack obama with 13 million americans more on food stamp. he reduced the white house payroll saving the taxpayer millions. the president's donating his salary. finally, the president signed 52 pieces of legislation. have you heard any of this from the destroy trump media? any of it? have you heard them talk about solutions to the numerous problems we have? real national security concerns. what we told you is the truth about the president's accomplishments. they never talk about it. he's getting a lot of things done, frankly, despite very little help from both parties in congress and despite a media that utterly wants to destroy him every day. they wake up, how can we destroy

him today? this hatred against the president is beyond out of control. it needs to stop and probably won't. i have a message for the democrats and weak republicans and the people in the mainstream media, i'm sure you all love your country, right? you want to make america great again, you and the media? because if you want to make america great and you want to help the people you claim to have a monopoly of compassion on, solve the country's problems. you got that, democrats, media? help offer solutions occasionally on your shows. the democratic party, no, is not the answer to anything. maybe the media will stop bludgeoning the president with your daily lives and maybe start thinking of working for the american people. i'm frankly disgusted with both parties. i'm disgust with the sewer, with the swamp known as washington, d.c. why? the american people, millions of

them, the forgotten men and women of the country and i started out with pretty much nothing in my adult life, they need help. and guess what, america's enemies are really dangerous. imagine for one moment if we can just pull together as a country -- just a couple years, if the country would unite, there's no limit to just how great and prosperous and safe and secure this country will be. and join us now, fox news contributor, mike huckabee. a bird told me it's your birthday. >> thank you. >> let's find out where you things are headed and what needs to be done. >> first, your monologue nailed so much accomplishments of president trump and it's not getting out there.
10:14 pm
what you just did is give the american people an extraordinary rundown of the success of the president. i think your show is maybe the only place in all of media where that comprehensive a list is coming forth. it ought to be posted in every federal building and everybody in america ought to be made -- when they're subject to crazy networks like cnn and msnbc they ought to give time to that story out there. >> that's to his credit. he's done a lot of this without the help and support of congress. one other thing the media hasn't done, going back to '91 and matt lauer denouncing, renouncing, disavowing and talking about white supremacy, right thing to do as many times as he's done it
10:15 pm
they run with a false narrative and the president pushed back. was it the right thing to do? >> i think it's what the president has to do. they're giving him attention for pushing back and two things come of that. he's reminding the 50 plus millions of americans he's still on track and knows why he's elected. he's not rolling over for those guys and he shouldn't. the level of redangement -- derangement and losing all sense of journalism and they're now just commentators. they're ideologues but deranged ideologue. >> maybe they should do self-analysis there's a few off the rails. we know who they are and know the stories but i won't name names at this point. i was talking to somebody today.
10:16 pm
it's a person that is sort of but i said you'll never get it. it's simple. he's not going to conform to who you want him to be. he's not. look at his agenda. do you support the agenda? he's not going to be the person you want or fit in the box you want him to fit in. he's his own person. i thought we kind of liked individualism and courage but apparently not if you're donald trump. >> he defeated 16 people on the stage, including me. all of whom who were probably more predictable than donald trump. he's disruptive, unconventional and a disruptive, unconventional president and thank god he is because we're living in an unconventional time where i'm not sure a conventional figure could drive through the noise. i know it's driving the media

crazy but thank god for him. >> i like the iconoclastic nature of it and very much a rebel with a cause. you have a graciousness about you. you ran and fought hard. i thought you were always one of the best debaters on the stage and still are and you accepted it. what is it about hilary this week and we see it about the republicans that ran against him they never get over losing. it's like they can't get over it psychologically if they lose in a race. >> sean, they can't do what even angela merkel has done this week to her credit. she said she doesn't agree with trump on a lot of positive issues but he won the election and elected through a democratic process of the voters having chosen him and deserves the respect of world leaders. i want to say, thank you,

chancellor. and by the way, he deserves the respect of his own party and the other members of congress and the democrats and the respect of the media. just remember this, sean, you nail it every night, but the fact is when they try to say donald trump's approval rate are low, i hope they report their approval rate , media and congress is lower than cockroaches and venereal disease and he has three times the approval the media or congress comes to work with every day. >> great perspective, governor. by the way, there'll be another huckabee on in a second. thanks for being with us. >> you bet i will. >> when we come back, i say it all the time, it's the hardest job in washington maybe the country. the white house press secretary. and tonight is this the final three months for the republicans to make it or break it?

there's a reason that unemployment is at a 16-year low. there's a reason that the stock market is at an all-time high. he's very committed to job creation and economic growth and he'll continue to do that. >> that was white house press secretary sarah huckabee sanders listing some of the president's accomplishment. she's got the hardest job in the country and we got to speak with her on her father's birthday at the white house. sarah sanders. i just had your dad on. you wished him happy birthday. good thing you did because he'd be pretty angry. i went through this today too and i didn't know you were going to address it. i'm preparing the show for today and a was like, nobody ever talks about his accomplishments, the things he does and i'm sending a message to republicans, you guys have to get your act together. you have to create a sense of

urgency to get things done. as a conservative, i can't appeal to the democrats. they don't care what i think. i'm disappointed they haven't moved further. where are you on your point of view what will happen in the next three months? >> i think we have a very aggressive and big fall agenda set forward we have to focus on. we'll need the senate and the house to come together and actually get something done. i think they've had a free pass for the last eight years of the president coming into office and haven't been able to do things. maybe that's been frustrating and they haven't figured out how to move the ball forward. now they have a republican president with a pen in hand that wants to be aggressive and make bold reforms when it comes to taxes, infrastructure, health care, securing the border, national security by rebuilding the military. these are big things the president is focussed on. he'll need congress to get things accomplished. >> i tried to go through in the last couple nights and even the

sometimes a childish press corps who likes to focus on the same thing and ask the same questions over and over again. thankfully we have a president not focussed on the things the press is and focussed on helping the american people. one thing i talked about earlier today, we have an economy booming and thanks in large part the president has gotten rid of over 800 regulation have gotten government out of the way and allowing people to do what they do best, that's create jobs, grow the economy, spend money. we're moving in the right direction. that's at the leadership of this president. >> republicans don't get the middle-class tax cuts. corporate tax cuts are key to the economy as are energy independence. to me those are the things that will get the forgotten men and women that defined this election back to work. now, mitch mcconnell seemed to throw an olive branch at the

so "the new york times" reported there's doubt the president can save his presidency. of course, we have to give perspective here. they do cite anonymous sources. earlier the president tweeted out, quote, is the only problem with mitch mcconnell is after hearing repeal and replace for 7 years he -- >> this is what he told you. >> i'm going to focus on what we set out to accomplish for the american people. repeal and replace obama care. the discussions are underway. there's a large majority in our conference that want to demonstrate they want to keep the commitment they made in four straight elections to repeal obama care.
10:35 pm
it's better to repeal and replace. >> so after seven-plus years of promising, you, the american people, given the chance to repeal and replace obama care it didn't happen. they failed. it's about time senator mcconnel -- he needs to and all republicans need to start keeping their word especially look at the state of kentucky. a new survey has the senator at a dismal 18% approval rating. we promised you on the vote we will never stop holding washington accountable. with us is patrick j. buchanan. did the republican party survive if after labor day they don't get done, the economy, energy, something on health care, they don't get done the border wall? do they survive? >> i think republican party survives but their opportunity will be lost. now, sean, opportunity will
10:36 pm
clearly be lost but there's a golden opportunity to put together the pop -- populists for the majority but both sides have to come together. >> here's my point though, yeah, the republican party will survive but that's not my real question. my real question is they have a big election. they should pick up senate seats next year. i won't support jeff flake in arizona and i doubt you will either. a lot of people have had it with these people. will they lose the house? do they risk losing the house or is gerry mandering so fix things you don't lose a few seats. instead of picking up seven senate seats you'll pick up two or three? >> i don't think anything is baked in the cake right now. i think there's a real possibility the republicans can hold the senate and gain a couple seats and retain the house. what they have to realize is look, we're all in this boat together.
10:37 pm
mitch and the fellow over there the speaker of the house and president of the united states, donald trump are all in together. at the ends of the day if they sink it won't stay afloat. >> last question. carl rove -- look, he's never liked the president but he's a pretty smart guy. he suggested the president can't win by going after members of his own party. apparently it's way off limits to of attack a fellow center but when they said they were expectations and i thought that is such a swamp/sewer, d.c. culture comment so out of touch with how most americans live their lives. >> i think you're right. >> is donald trump wrong to go after them or just sit back and wait for them to do their job? >> i think you're exactly right.
10:38 pm
mitch mcconnell's statement was excessive expectations. he should have been cracked for that and the point is -- look, he's a grown man and big politician. the president's got a right to hit him publicly if he think it will work. i tend to agree with carl that look, i don't think it's going to work or help. if it's not, i don't know why it's necessary to do it. it may be better to get angry and get inside a room, get it all out of your system, let them know what you think and -- >> i like that idea. good advice. when we come back, hillary clinton called out president trump and called him creepy after all bill clinton went through and we'll be joined with kayleigh mcenany and mercedese straight ahead.
