>> i think the president is exactly right. he is showing the american people exactly what he has to deal with. one, he has inherited this ticking time bomb that is obamacare. the premiums are out-of-control and they are skyrocketing across this great nation of ours. the people across the country involved in obamacare have no choices and they haven't had any and enrollment was down last year. enrollment will be down again this year and the president understands the economy here and he understands what is going on and he says to chuck schumer, you guys were responsible for forcing this on the american people and on our economy and now you have to participate in finding a solution and chuck schumer's response is it's a no go. that is what the president is so smart in showing the american people, he showing the american people i am willing to work with them but they are not willing to

5:39 am
does north korea respond. this is a different rhetoric and a different style that he says we've seen for the past 25 years and what can we expect from north korea and from china? >> you can sense the presence frustration with this and things like healthcare, obamacare and that he's not dealing with a blank slate. he inherited these problems and says these are tangled and people made a terrible mess now i have to untangle it. he is betting frustration there. again, it's an interesting way of using what they call triangulation and you got certain fixed points in the health care debate where you have the republicans were able to move it and schumer and nancy and he says let's find another way and let's talk to them. this is a way that is expressing his frustration and just how unhappy he is.
5:40 am
in that i have to tell you, he's right. there was a long time when this should have been worked out. i think a lot of republicans did not believe donald trump would be elected president and they didn't think the need for a plan was so essential. abby: think you're right about that. want to get your thoughts on late-night comedy. we have seen it change in recent years especially with president trump being in the office and giving him hits but the readings have been reported that they had gone down and you don't have many people watching these late-night shows during the leno and letterman days. dean: the gory days. abby: millennial's art watching television but how much is the focus and hatred for the current president. >> a lot of it is that. the late-night comedians are feeling the most essential test is they are not funny. i think when you're being lucrative as they are that limits the humor. people can read that you really dislike this man and this is not
5:41 am
out of wit but dislike. what i would like to see is that you were going to get after president trump and conservative icons like our friend sean hannity and bill o'reilly, when will they get after someone like harvey weinstein who is people left and right because of the charges against him. he is one of their own and will they speak to that, that's what i like to see. dean: i see why you call him the big buddha, he knows everything about everything. i want to correct one thing you are talking about. princeton has a good football team. ed: i think i'd like to tease the big with a little bit. >> hey, we beat georgetown yesterday. abby: doctor bill, always good to have you on the show. thank you. >> welcome, dean.

how are you? to most people, i look like most people. but on the inside, i feel chronic, widespread pain. fibromyalgia may be invisible to others, but my pain is real. fibromyalgia is thought to be caused by overactive nerves. lyrica is believed to calm these nerves. i'm glad my doctor prescribed lyrica. for some, lyrica delivers effective relief for moderate to even severe fibromyalgia pain. and improves function. lyrica may cause serious allergic reactions, suicidal thoughts or actions. tell your doctor right away if you have these, new or worse depression, unusual changes in mood or behavior, swelling, trouble breathing, rash, hives, blisters, muscle pain with fever, tired feeling, or blurry vision. common side effects: dizziness, sleepiness, weight gain, swelling of hands, legs and feet. don't drink alcohol while taking lyrica. don't drive or use machinery until you know how lyrica affects you. those who've had a drug or alcohol problem may be more likely to misuse lyrica.

interesting way because he had been americanized. he went to a philadelphia high school, went to m.i.t., lived in boston. i think he might've stayed in the united states. but his brother changed everything and i was surprised how much he had no interest in politics until he felt this was his calling after what happened to his brother. but the other thing that really struck me was just the current disdain he has for politics. i got into how he felt about his kids following in his footsteps and each is blanched at that. this is a little bit of what he said. >> your kids. you encourage them to go into politics? >> no. >> you discourage them? why? >> it doesn't help you at ending it may not help. it's a very tough life.
