daniels locked up at this hour. police just revealing a hotel security guard was shot six minutes before the las vegas shooter opened fire on the concert in las vegas, checking something out when the suspect fired 200 shots through the door. police previously said campos was shot during the assault and credited him with stopping it. jolene: california's wine country on fire, ten dead, 100 missing. look at this video, flames out-of-control leaving behind a trail of devastation. adam housley joins us with more. >> reporter: 100 missing persons reports, don't believe 100 people have perished, just 100 different missing persons

reports filed. that has to do with there is no cell service, very hard to find cell service at land lines are down. looking at the winery. i grew up at the bottom of the hill from here, it has been here many years, the fire blue through here 24 hours ago. this is a fire burning on the east side of napa valley, threatening homes, an area called green valley. we have a fire burning down in carneros and santa rosa, 15 fighters in northern california many threatening homes. from the air you see what is taking place across the region, no matter how much smoke, using helicopters and planes, didn't help in this case but has helped in areas of the eastern part of the valley. we came across a house where two firefighters from two units, one

from santa cruz county, one from navarro helped save this home in the eastern hills of napa valley. firefighters, coming into hell doing what they can but difficult because they don't know the area. >> difficult for us to get in areas we don't know it have never seen. we go along the house and look at them before the fire get there and decide which ones we can save based on preparations and we prep and go. >> reporter: in some cases it doesn't matter. this is the destruction of the country club, i shot this video before nightfall, you can see it seems in some cases every single home on some blocks are gone. this fire blue through with a couple hours of the end of the pga tour they were playing. there were hundreds of people that had to be evacuated. one sheriff said he was going door-to-door trying to open the front door and going inside and waking people up to get them

out. cars were burned on the street just abandoned. those pictures coming in in the next hour but the good news, there is not much, the winds died down but fires continue to chew up acres and threaten homes and they are worried about that number, the death toll stands at ten. they haven't had a chance to go into burned-out areas and deal with. >> they speculated this would be a bad fire season after the rain last winter, it is moving that direction, you had to do some work yourself. tell us how you saved the family home last night. >> on with you 24 hours ago, my brother and friends on social media showed up with shovels and they fought the fire to the bottom of the hill. our neighbors -- it burned down. across the yard, my dad had a couple friends, my brother were using water until the power went

out and shoveled dirt and sand into buckets, got water out of the pool or did what they could to fight the fire. when we got here today there were still smoldering areas and at one point in the creek with shovels putting out flames that continue to kick up and that is without the wind. imagine what it was like last night, being here all day with winds blowing earlier. there are reports winds can come back tomorrow. the idea is to get smoldering areas out to soak it up again. heidi heitkamp it is one thing to report on these and another to report on a store that affects you. rob: the us military will be ready to fight. jolene: that is the word from james madison north korea as the president doubles down on his stance against the rogue regime. >> reporter: the trump

administration making it clear it will not tolerate much longer any provocative action from north korea. donald trump continues to take a hard line approach against north korea and kim jung un. in his latest tweet donald trump tweeted our country has been unsuccessfully dealing with north korea for 25 years giving billions of dollars and getting nothing. policy didn't work. the trump administration still pursuing a diplomatic solution, plus imposing tougher economic sanctions on north korea. james madison speaking to the annual meeting in dc explains the army may be called to action if diplomacy fails. >> it is right now a diplomatically led economic sanctions buttress effort to try to turn north korea off this

past. the international community has spoken. that means the u.s. army must stand ready. >> reporter: the trump administration maintains it once a peaceful solution with north korea but is willing to tough talk and carry a big stick, being with military might to remove the nuclear threat from the rogue regime. rob: the white house taking steps on another key issue, immigration. can they get democrats on board. jolene: weighing in from the center for immigration studies is stephen, thank you for joining us. do you see any aspect where both parties can agree? >> it used to be the democrats were more enthusiastic about enforcement but now they see it as a bargaining chip. they used to want to go after the employers and control the border but today the democratic

party generally sees most efforts at enforcing the law, even holding criminals who get arrested and holding them in jail, cities all over america when the immigration service ask them to hold that person the local community and local government won't do it. enforcement is not something democrats want to be involved with the way they used to. rob: that drives people crazy about politics, 10 years ago the biggest names in politics, obama and clinton voting to complete 700 miles of pedestrian fencing along the border, build a wall. not even ten years later to build a wall is racist according to the left and insensitive and how does it change that fact? it appears to me to be purely political. how do you pull a move like that? >> most democratic voters want border control, they want

immigration enforcement but there is a small segment in the democratic party that sees any kind of enforcement, even deporting someone who has been arrested and in jail, as controversial and they seem to be in the drivers seat and managed to pull the democratic party all the way over to i guess what you could say is the left so hillary clinton during the campaign says anybody who is here illegally unless they are murder, robbery or rapist get to stay. that was her basic policy and that was not the policy of her husband. >> is this basic symbolism, they don't want to agree with donald trump? >> there is some of that. the real energy of the democratic party does see most forms of immigration enforcement as illegitimate, people should have a right to stay here.

that is not what most democratic voters think. the left wing of the democratic party which seems to be in charge. >> there is a difference between mainstream democrats and far left part of the party. to the far left's point the same people clamoring for free education, free healthcare saying you need to have open borders. if you implement it that the country would go belly up so fast you can't believe it, you can't have free things and open borders at the same time. >> all the things democrats care about like public education, the working poor, one reason we limit immigration is to make sure schools don't get overwhelmed, to make sure there aren't so many workers at the bottom of labor market to push down wages. there was a long tradition of the democratic party recognizing things progressives wanted were often in conflict with open borders but that seems to have

the nfl, gerri jones came out and told players they would get benched if they don't stand for the answer the president thanked the owner of the cowboys for that in a tweet. let's pull that up, big salute to gerri jones who will bench players who disrespect our flag. stand for and them or sit for game. jolene: gerri jones has been adamant about not wanting to be involved in this. i will admit i was surprised, it was week 3 when gerri jones partook in the demonstration, won't they protest, took a knee before the national anthem and stood up, that surprised me and the fact a couple weeks later coming so hard on this. rob: looking for middle ground, there is a discussion to be had about police brutality but also a country the needs to be respected, these things don't have to happen in the same two

minutes. >> gerri jones did say in an article that he is removing politics, what i have the right to say is who is on that football team. rob: burgess owens has been on a number of times, had a tough stance on this whole thing, listen to what he has to say. >> proud of the president to say enough of this progressively trying to steal our heritage, we have a chance, these kids have a chance to truly put their money where their mouth is, there are problems we need to address from those on the sideline, the best hope and encouragement in jobs and mentorship to kids who don't have hope. it is a great win, we -- jolene: a lot of people sounding off including mike ditka. here is what he had to say.

after she slams cowboys owner gerri jones for saying he would bench any player who does not stand for the national anthem. here are the tweets got her in trouble, cowboys have a huge national following, lots of black and brown folks are cowboys fans. what if they turned their backs on them? the rationale behind his stand keeping the fan base happy they can see he underestimated how his fan base feels, or how about not patronizing the advertisers who support the cowboys? you can watch and do that. a few weeks ago she made headlines for calling donald trump a white supremacist on twitter. she was not punished then but was handed a two week suspension, espn said they violated her social media policy for second time but some on social media say espn didn't go far enough, if you ask me she

jolene: donald trump will sign a new executive order aimed at rolling back regulations set by obamacare. rob: how this could affect you and your family, radiologist nicole safire, for coming in. tell us what this plan is in the criticisms of it. >> this would be a backdoor approach of dismantling aspects of the affordable care act. this is not health reform by any means but insurance reformat test. with the executive order -- what it sounds like is focusing on plans that rand paul has been a big supporter of, plans that are -- by allowing small businesses to come together with larger purchase power to buy insurance together which would drive down premiums, co-pays and

potentially allowing individuals to buy into this which overall would help for 7 million people buying on the individual market who are not receiving subsidies. that large class of middle-class americans suffering. rob: what will this do long-term? >> will destabilize the individual market for sure but that will prompt everyone in washington to come together, republicans have not been able to come up with a consensus so the president is going back to his campaign saying i will do something with healthcare and this is the way i can do it. rob: let's show some elements of this, expanding options for individuals and small business employees, allowing purchasing across state lines, expanding health savings accounts making short-term medical insurance more possible, buying across state lines lowering cost of

insurance for everybody. >> if you are opening up state lines for purchasing power you will see costs go down but when insurance works these days, the larger the network greater the cost. don't know if you have a hard time finding the correct doctor but a lot of people have that complaint, such a narrow network, if you open across state lines you have to expand insurers network so it may go up. there may be balance by allowing price competition opening state lines but increasingly network and prices go up. jolene: what about health savings account? >> great way to help people pay for their expenses. you have a when it comes to how many free tax dollars you can use for healthcare. by expanding those people can save more and if you have a card, see how much you are spending on healthcare you may not go to the emergency room for
