weekend? >> no, i wasn't surprised at all nor decision by nfl commissioners, i often said that the change we want to see in america it's not going to come from the top down, it's going to come from the grassroots up and we saw what the power to have grassroots last november when we elected donald trump that was not supposed to happen but the grass roots is a group of people, when we get sick and tired of being sick and tired changes happen. jillian: in fairness some people on the other side will argue, isn't that what the colin kaepernicks of the world trying to do, how would you respond to that? >> i would respond to that is let's look at the facts, if the narrative is on every street corner there's a police officer waiting to shoot a black man because, remember, hands up don't shoot, very popular at one point, if that's the narrative, then we have to look at the facts and in 2016, 233 blacks were fatally shot by the police,

of that 16 were unarmed. now the 16 kind of -- some of those particular fatal shootings were due to aggressive resistance of arrest but nonetheless, one is too many but if the narrative is and the reason why they are kneeling that we are suffering from every street corner there's a police officer ready to shoot a black man, well, it doesn't jive with the facts. jill jilg right. you look at the fact that it was the fewest number of players kneeling in quite some time, do you see this starting to dwindle down a little bit? where do you see it ending? >> we can always keep hope alive. i call it little crumbs, we see the very commercials with the nfl players and the violin music softly playing in the background and on one south of -- side of

the mouth they are respecting veterans and on the other side they are showing disrespect with symbol of honor. i had a wonderful opportunity to visit triple g, we love him, right, and to hear his story, he lost both of his legs in afghanistan and i remember, you know, so many of our soldiers, they followed that flag into battle and now we have people who dare to take a knee, dare -- it's become really political. jillian: before we let you go, we have about 20 seconds, that's your thought on roger goodell is reportedly requesting $50 million and private jet for life. >> 20 million-dollar raise. he's making 30 million-dollars. let's look at the hypocrisy. this man does not want to impede on the nfl players' right to speak, meetings talking about inequality, you're requesting a
