anyone who would listen about sexual harassment. some said it was hypocritical for the president to tweet on al franken and not roy moore. >> he did tweet about roy moore. i took about 15 questions on that topic. only one on al franken. to suggest that this white house and specifically this president hasn't weighed in, is inaccurate and wrong. >> i don't reporters for asking about the inconsistency there. she said they are sticking to their guns and won't comment. i don't blame the reporters for asking. >> they have to ask the question. the answer is consistent with how they handle things. she has to do her job under the direction of the president. he speaks his own mind. his tweets speak for themselves.

he commented on one and not on other. this appears to be an inconency. the distinction with the al franken case, when you look at the fact and the evidence in front of you, there is an actual picture that showed what transpired. he admitted and apologizeded. it's less of a due process issue as to what happened and so many years ago. it's more compelling evidence. >> that was one of the things, juan, that came up in the briefing. the question that al franken apologized for allegations against others are still allegations. that's why the attack was worth while. your thoughts? >> to my mind there is a photograph of al franken as if

intelligent ethices committee investigated 613 allegations. 75 investigations. all anonymous and no consequences. not a single senator has had any sanctions against. >> wow! >> they will be found innocent no matter what. >> i realize this is a mass heavy show. it seems there is a 100% tolerance policy if there is no punishment or responsibility. what is really interesting here. this entire thing, if they end up backing al franken, which i imagine they are going to. they have been giving their talking points. they have to say ethices investigation and al franken has to say the same thing.

if they don't do anything, it neuters their argument against the president. that's one of the favorite democratic talking points about the president is his past political correctness. where does it end? i think the president, i agree with you, he should be tweeting about roy moore. he can say and he loves being right, i background luther strange. that was a better choice. if you listened to me, you would not be in this pickle. >> and tweet it with y'all like you just said it. >> every reporter that has to read the tweet will have to say y'all. >> maybe they could say bless your heart to, all of the republicans about the charges of moore dealing with a 14-year-old girl and the charges against al franken.

confront. >> i feel like, though, it's political convenient at this point. in 1997 when this broke, i was 23. i was working on capitol hill for a republican member of congress. we were working on the balance the budget amendment and welfare reform. then this happened. i remember being so upset. you could not see any of the democrats, women's groups coming out to defend monica lewinsky. even now with the current allegations, if it's a democrat that is accused the republicans believe all of those accuser. if it's a republican accused. the democrats believe all of their accusers. now senator gillibrand said we are in a different time now. what is different now? the president of the united states is not bill clinton and it's not a democrat. there is nothing to be gained from going out against clinton

it's not good. having been impeached and taken on the bearings of the party that wants to represent the best interest of women, there is no getting away from hypocrisy. people like these democrats saying clinton should have resigned. or writers and the "new york times" saying i am going back to look at this. in terms of the team sport aspect, they are protecting themselves against the charge of hypocrisy from republicans. there were republicans who attacked women going back, way back who had charges against republican men. >> one had lip stick on his collar. >> his wife could have been president and he enriched

better for the country. democrats will try to do to the republican tax reform plan what republicans did to obamacare. drive up the negatives regardless of merits. if the economy continues to do well, and to get a boost to people and their paychecks and corporations see they can plan to come back to america, it will be hard to say it was not a success. >> ron johnson the senator from whist said he can't support this. that's dragging this down.iscon this. that's dragging this down. >> it may be a bad move by him. he is trying to do something to the hard working men and women in this country and lower taxes. that's one platform he ran on.

they are trying to do this effectively. i think the president has an excellent point when he says that democrats are obstructionist. it's not just trying to pull the rich up higher. this is doing comprehensive reform to move forward. are there other things to be more aggressive? absolutely. >> don't delay lowering the corporate tax rate. and number 2, johnson is right about the tax rate for small businesses. they can do a lot more in the senate. that's a negotiating point for him. i don't think he is a firm no. that's a solid cell. you're absolutely right. the republicans need to do a much better job of messages here. >> we have to run. hold the politics at the thanksgiving dinner table.
