reporter: gillian, good afternoon. that's interesting. you got to remember president trump for suggested they include the repeal of obamacare and tax reform. they are starting to back off a bit now and that is likely because more than anything the white house is looking for a legislative win and realize getting tax reform through the senate will be no easy task. republicans can only afford to lose two of their own to get this passed and 35 gop senators have said they have concerns of the bill along with ron johnson who says he'll vote against it if changes are made. repealing obama carries individual mandate is one of the vacant turns for undecided senators. another criticism has been because the corporate tax rate permanently and as more than a trillion dollars touring nations devastated. today's treasury secretary mnuchin said individuals are made permanent so the bill could meet requirements that boosting

peter doocy with the latest live from birmingham. reporter: good morning. the more campaign trying to put pressure on problems they see what the republican establishment now that jeff flake has been caught in a hot mike saying he thinks if republicans become the party of worry more in donald trump, then they will be toast. here is how a campaign adviser responded to us. mitch mcconnell and jeff flake are agents of destruction within the republican party. they assassinate conservatives like roy moore to they can work with the liberal elite to protect their big rubber band. but there are longtime republican lawmakers in washington d.c. who still cannot get past the allegations of sexual abuse against judge moore. >> i read his denials here to listen to his radio interview and i did not find him to be credible. as more and more allegations come forward, that adds to the weight of evidence against him.

world retires the message has been consistent. i think without a statement then has troubles from a speech in poland and the united nations committee asia trip by itself would not it had a significant. when you put it all together, there is a consistent message about both trade and north korea that the united states will not be taken advantage of on trade in the asian region of the world and on north korea, that it demands a denuclearized korean peninsula and is building an alliance to the trump administration of state throughout the indo pacific region who believes the same. it's been a fundamental shift in u.s. policy in 2017. >> all things totaled together sort of bring us to trump doctrine, which as far as i can

10:46 am
parts. your first point about a shift away from multilateralism, i think there is a combination of bilateral activities in agreement and understanding of multilateral activities both have been in the context of the asia trip. on the bilateral side, the president was amazingly aggressive going nation by nation doing the hard work about the threats they commonly face. on the multilateral side, the concept of quads come in the four nations, united states, australia, india and japan having talked among my group about the common threats and how they may coordinate as a counter to china. there were elements of both on what the united states is doing now. in terms of your second point on the issue of the envoy, the chinese envoy in north korea. we have something to do with it. mr. sun tile has already this month than in vietnam and laos
